Other: Jack wears a green and black plaid shirt over an old My Darkest Days concert t-shirt. His jeans are black denim skinnys tucked into an old pair of loved on combat boots. His glasses are silver, which he wears to distract people, but he’ll take them off when needed. A long, chained, silver earring graces his right ear, several small silver earrings adore his left and he wears multiple ancient silver necklaces passed onto him from his grandmother. Lastly he a very old pair of gloves made of some type of skin, which he uses when summoning his “friends”.

===POWERS===
Card Summoning (Friends): Jack carries with him an old used deck of tarot cards given to him by his ancient gypsy grandmother. The 78 cards all have specific pictures. When Jack summons he uses the tarot card he wants and calls forth the picture. After a card has been summoned they take a physical shape and can inflict damage or protect him as they see fit. The abilities and skills of the summon vary with each tarot card. An example would be The Fool: The Fool is used similar to an errand boy or an assistant of sorts. But The High Priestess would stress healing capabilities. The Devil would be a fighter and so on. His most common summons are the Fool for entertainment, The Hermit for knowledge, The High Priestess for healing, and The Devil, The Hanged Man or any Court cards for fighting. The summons can last in varying times from The Fool who requires no energy to summon so he can last awhile to Justice which sucks up all of Jack’s energy and last only for a few minutes. The summons can be defeated by mortal means, so anything that could kill a human could kill a summon. But some summons are more susceptible or resilient to different attacks than others. If a summon is “killed” to reverts back to card form and will be unusable for a minimum of 6 hrs. This is so the summon has time to heal before it is recalled. Jack can summon the card if not killed as many times as his health allow, but the cards become defiant after 3 times of summoning in one day. He can also summon up to five cards at any giving point as long as he has the energy to do so. Jack has control on his summons, but prefers them to do what they want at the very moment and hopes they help him. He usually uses the Major Arcana and Court cards, but if he needs a small henchman or pawn he’ll use the Minor Arcana. Some summons require vast amounts of energy such as World, Justice, or Wheel of Fortune, which affects Jack’s health.

Everything stated above affects every card but The Fool. This is because The Fool loves Jack dearly and is the easiest to summon.

History:
Jack grew up with his Grandmother Maria after his parents disowned him at a very young age. Maria was a gypsy and she traveled with a caravan across Europe entertaining people and telling fortunes. Jack was loved by the troupe he traveled with and learned many things from them. They would tell him great stories of places they had been, and places that might exist somewhere else. This is what fueled his desire for reading, and his love for ancient books. When he was five he learned the power of the cards from Maria, and mastered the art of reading and divining them; after he encountered a near death experience he had predicted would happen to himself, the Cards taught him the ways of summoning. The reason they chose Jack at of all the people in the world was because a Diviner is never supposed to predict his own future, But Jack did and instead of trying to alter the future, he fully accepted it. The Cards found this to be an interesting quality in a young person and he completely amuses them. So they gifted him with the power to summon them whenever needed, but if Jack stops being so entertaining then the Cards will revoke their gift and kill Jack.
He continues to roam the world looking for someone similar to himself, or at least someone who understands the reason for his lack of sleep and the nightmares that eat at him like hyenas to a bone, tearing at his logic and reasoning. His extensive travels have covered almost every corner of the world, but he has yet to find a place he truly likes. When he was growing up he grew up like a gypsy. Therefore he is prone to pick pocketing, talking in circles, dancing at odd moments, and telling really long stories that have some sort of point to them occasionally. Jack is a “good” person per say but his past and his gift cause him to do things that a good person would not do.

Sample RP

A warm gentle breeze caressed Jack’s face as he walked down the street in Jump City. It was an odd city for sure, with it’s over abundance of superheroes and its crowded population. Grandmother had mentioned that this city was always filled with new people crowding the streets and businesses. Maybe he would find someone who could put up with his obnoxious ways and wacky pointless stories. He found the architecture to be nice though, and Jump City was rumored to have an enormous library filled with books. He began to wonder which direction the library was and what books they had he hadn’t read yet. Books were one thing Jack loved, coffee was another. The lack of sleep over the past few days had made him tired, grouchy, and just plain mean.

Jack passed an odd looking coffee shop that advertised free fortune readings. He seriously hated wannabe Diviners and the way they read the cards. They were copycats of real Diviners, like himself, and never gave accurate readings to people. Then again he couldn’t complain to bad about accuracy, because he never gave an accurate reading anymore. Temptation prompted him to enter the coffee shop and he was immediately engulfed in the smell of incense. Not the good stuff you get from Arabic markets and whatnot, but the stuff they sold at the local mall that was made in China. The smell was enough to make any person gag, and Jack’s stomach immediately began to coil and twist with the creeping of sickness. A flimsy, young woman flitted Jack’s way and immediately reached for his palm, he assumed she was going to try and “read” his palm as so many others had before her.
As the women went to tell Jack what she thought, a loud explosion erupted from outside. The sound waves caused the glass to break in the shops and the sound of screams and chaos filled the air. Jack ripped his hand from the woman and headed out into the smoke filled street. He slid his gloves on and wondered which “friend” he should call.

This is a very original character, and I like him, but there are a few things you'll need to change.

1. What can his summons do? Do they have powers, weapons, skills? How much damage does it take for them to go away? How long until he can summon using that same card again? How many can he summon at a time?

2. Fortune Telling would be considered godmodding. If his predictions are accurate, then he could just look at his cards and claim "I'm going to win this fight," and it would happen. Controlling a character with this ability would essentially be controlling fate. It's great for a superhero, but not so great for a RP site. Therefore, the fortune telling has to go.

Again, this is a very interesting character and I cannot wait to see him in action. Post here again once you have made the necessary changes.
