Pizza Corner (open)

I am sitting at a table in pizza corner, waiting for my large, buffalo, chicken pizza to come. I'm wearing my tank top with a red, messy looking heart on it with the words "Eat your heart out" inside of it, along with a short jean skirt and some torn red leggings. I have my favorite heeled boots with it, and my purse across my body. I also had my hoodie on, though unzipped so the words could not be read at the moment.

I lean my head against my hand, elbow on the table. My thumbs poke out through little holes I made in the sleeves but the rest of my fingers stay curled up and warm. I have pulled my hair out of my face, and into a long braid.

A bit of a commotion starts near the entrance as the doors open and a rather large, snake-like being slithers inside and up to the counter. She was obviously female and her manner of dress only helped hammer home that fact. From her cute, if somewhat inappropriate schoolgirl uniform that exposed her midriff, or the slightly too short skirt that went with it. Though to be fair with her long serpentine body any type of skirt would have technically been 'too short'. The being didn't seem to mind however, apparently used to the looks and reactions she was getting.

"Oh calm down already. Yes I'm an alien. No I'm not gonna hurt anyone here. I just wanted to try some pizza." Zil'costa says, sounding just a tad tired of having to deal with these types of reactions from the humans she comes across. She had a stylish purse slung over her shoulder today, and she reached into it and pulled out some money.

"I want an ultra large meat lovers pizza please, with the cheesy stuffed crust. Oh, and a large cherry soda!" Zil'costa says with a grin, her tongue flicking out a bit as she speaks. She places the money on the counter and leans forward, smiling at the humans behind the counter. Even leaning over she towered over the humans around her, but she seemed to like that.

"Ah, okay... Just uh, t-take a seat. Wherever ya like miss." The man behind the counter said as he accepted the order and the money. He sent the order to the kitchen so they could get cooking.

Zil'costa smiled and slithered further into the place, looking around for a good place to sit. Of course with her long body a normal chair was simply out of the question. She spots a large booth near the corner and goes toward it, making herself comfy.

I look up as an unusual lady comes in. I blink in surprise when she says she is an alien. My eyes widen even wider when she says she wants a cherry soda. When she sits down I grab my number and my own cherry soda, standing up and practically run over to her table. I set down my drink and number, eyeing her warily but in a friendly manner. "This seat..." I pause, trying to translate the last word of the sentence. "Taken?" I grin proudly, my english is getting better and my accent is getting less noticeable.

Zil'costa was just settling down to wait for her pizza when a strange young lady ran up to her table and asked if the seat was taken. After a moment of confusion Zil'costa then smiles and gestures toward the empty side of the booth.

"Go ahead, take a seat. I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that you'd want to sit with me. Everyone around here that doesn't know me thinks I'm gonna eat them or something." Zil'costa said with a hissing laugh.

"My name's Zil'costa. May I ask who you are miss?" Zil'costa asked in a friendly manner, her tail tip flicking about and giving away her excitement at meeting a stranger that actually wanted to sit with her. Maybe she'd even turn out to be another new friend.

I smile when she says I can sit. I slide in and get comfy before answering her question. "I'm Ivory" I say, my accent isn't even noticeable in that sentence, given how many times I've said that. "I'm not.. um.. Oh! scared." I smile at the strange woman. "You like my fa.. favorite soda." I say gesturing to my drink. I move on a second later though, my mind on overdrive with all the questions and things I wanted to ask. "How your accent so good?" I then switch subjects once more. "What planet were you... born onto?"

Zil'costa noticed that the girl seemed to have a bit of trouble speaking English, making the Serpentor wonder if it was the girl's first language. At the very least it was nice to know that this girl wasn't afraid of Zil'costa.

"You're favorite soda eh? I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but it sounded good and other cherry items tasted pretty good. Must be good though if it's your favorite." Zil'costa says with a smile, forgetting for a moment that her rather fangy smile could sometimes be a bit disconcerting to others. As Ivory mentions her accent Zil'costa lets out a little laugh.

"Oh well, I'm lucky that I have one of these." She says, tapping the gem near her throat.

"It's a babblestone. A little special item that lets me pick up a new language after hearing it spoken for a few moments, or seeing several sentences of it written. Really handy to have around in my line of work." Zil'costa doesn't mind any of the questions and slides right into answering the next one that Ivory had for her.

"I'm from Serpentor Prime. I'm a Serpentor. My job takes me all across the galaxy though, mostly to new worlds. This stop was a bit of an accident though. Crashed her not too long ago, but that's just part of the job I guess. Thankfully my babblestone didn't get broken or I'd be waving my arms around tying to communicate with everyone here."

I nod enthusiastically when she responds about the soda. "oh yes! It's ama,amazing." I blink in surprise at the woman's fangs but grin anyways. "You have a pr,pretty smile" I say sweetly.

I tilt my head as she taps the gem. "Where can I.. get one?" I ask as I lean closer to admire the gem. "That would ....er very.. er.. be helpful."

I nod at the planet she mentioned. "Oh yes! A serpentor. I should have um known." I think back to all of the times my mother or father had a serpentor over to discuss treaties and peace and war and such.

"What is yo,your job?" I ask.

"Why thank you!" Zil'costa replies in regards to the compliment on her smile. The smile changes a bit however at mention of where to get a babblestone, becoming a bit more regretful than anything.

"Well you can always contact a specialty merchant on Serpentor Prime in regards to obtaining a babblestone of your own, assuming you have the creds to afford one of course. Other than that I'm afraid I've got the only one in this sector and I'm rather attached to it... literally." Zil'costa tugged at the gem lightly showing how it also pulled at her scales as she did so. Indeed the little item was fused to her body.

Zil'costa's cobra like hood flared out in surprise as Ivory mentioned that she was already familiar with Serpentors.

"Oh? You've dealt with my kind before? That's rare on this world. As far as I've seen they don't seem to notice much beyond their own atmosphere. Most seem to think I'm a monster here to devour them or something, thankfully I've been able to convey my peaceful intentions. Heck I even managed to get a job at a local comic book store so I can earn some local currency since they don't accept galactic trade credits here. As for my main job, I'm a soldier and scout for the Serpentor. I fly around looking for new races to interact with and send the coordinates home, then they send a diplomat to try and set up a mutually beneficial trade route if applicable. Right now Earth looks like a pretty promising vacation spot from what I've seen so far."

I nod at the babblestone comment. "well credits, I, have." I smile as her hood. "Cool hood." I say before moving on. "Well I'm not from this planet..." I pause, thinking back to my own planet, wondering how Harmony was doing with running the planet. "And yes. Earth seems... pretty nice. Although.... I've been here... less.... than a week." I look up as my pizza arrives. "I, have especially, enjoyed, buffalo pizza."

Zil'costa lets out a thoughtful hum at hearing that Ivory had credits of her own, and grinned more at the compliment on her hood. While she wasn't vain she did enjoy getting compliments. A moment later her earlier thought was confirmed as Ivory revealed that she wasn't from Earth either.

"Ah, so you're an outsider like me. That explains a bit. You certainly do look like a human though if you don't mind me saying as much." She flicked her tongue out again as she listened to what Ivory had to say. Mention of a specific type of pizza seemed to grab Zil'costa's attention more than anything else.

"Buffalo pizza? I'll have to give that a try then. Hehehe! It's just so hard trying out all the yummy food this planet has to sample. I just found out about this stuff called chocolate last night. It's sooooo good!"

I shrug. "Our species, are just.. similar.. I guess." I nod at the pizza comment and push the pizza towards her. "Yeah. You should, try a piece! And yes. I. Love. Chocolate." I take a long sip of my cherry soda. "Have you, visited a... karaoke place yet? They are so fun. I just... love.. to sing. And the ..lyrics to the songs here are just so... deep!" I smile in wonder at some music that I remember.

"So what is your species called anyway?" Zil'costa asks, a bit curious as to the identity of her new friend's origins. Of course with a pizza being pushed under her nose her questions sort of took a back seat. At the offer to try a piece she gladly accepts, nabbing a slice and taking a bite as she listens to what else Ivory had to say.

Zil'costa's eyes widen at the burst of flavor she was experiencing. The texture of the cheese, the crunch in the bread, and the zesty blast of spicy meat! Delicious!

"Karaoke? No, can't say I've heard of that before. It's some sort of place you go to sing?" Zil'costa asked as she continued to nom on the slice of Ivory's pizza. She hadn't exactly had much spending money until recently so being able to go out to a place like a karaoke bar had been a bit beyond Zil'costa's reach till now.

After polishing off the piece of pizza she licked her fingers with her long, serpentine tongue. Thankfully her own order arrived then, a somewhat nervous looking waitress setting down a large cherry soda and the meat lovers pizza in front of Zil'costa.

"Thanks hun." Zil'costa says to the waitress before turning her attention back to Ivory.

"So what else do you do for fun around here?" She asked as she started to tear into her own pizza now.

I smile as I can tell she likes it, unpurposely ignoring her question about my species. I then nod at her question about the karaoke. "Yeah, you go, and, you sing, and, you talk, to, people, and, you have fun!" I beam. I eye her pizza curiously. "What, did you, get?" I ask. I wave at the waitress as she scurries away. I shrug. "I haven't, seen, much yet." I think back to places I have been. "I did go, to the opera. But that is really all so far."

Zil'costa looks down at her own pizza and grins.

"I got the meat lovers with a cheesy stuffed crust. Since you were kind enough to share your pizza with me, why don't you go ahead and try a slice of mine?" Zil'costa says with a smile. She goes ahead and grabs a slice as well, giggling a bit at how the cheese inside the crust stretches a bit with how gooey it is. She takes a big bite of the pizza and lets out a contented noise.

"Mmmmm, that's sooooo good!" She exclaims after her first bite. As she listens to what Ivory has to say about entertainment she simply nods.

"I was sorta broke till recently, so I've only been to places I get in for free. The beach was especially nice. So much delightful, sun warmed, sand..."

I tilt my head and gaze at her pizza. "Sounds, interesting." I say as I grab a piece. I take a hesitant bit and nod as I chew. "Pretty good." I say but give you a proud smile. "Mine's better." I finish the slice before answering. "Haven't, been there. Haven't, visited, karaoke either. I'm, practicing, songs first." I grin and grab a slice of my own pizza, gobbling it up quickly.
