Adriana was not happy with the slow speed at which she was selling off the loot she and Fox had gained recently. She still had enough to afford a decent apartment, and that may have been good enough to start with. But Adriana didn't feel content with good enough, and also would need plenty of time to do her research before she found the one she wanted. Fox was just happy to have a home, so she assumed he'd trust her judgement either way. BUT the more time spent, was more time wasted and chances that they'd run into the law or a local vigilante.

So she spent some time shadowing some of the local gangs. Either by blending in with the crowd at an illegal fighting ring, using her threads to eaves drop on secret meetings in clubs, or hiding in the shadows of secret exchanges. A name kept coming up, and after some digging and investigation, she found a face to go with it. Sinbad. Adriana made the necessary calls, being very careful as per usual in getting into contact with him. After that and explaining the details, they arranged a meeting in the forested area of the park late in the afternoon.

The reason for that would be made clear to Fox, who she was going to bring along. Because it was still technically day, the shadows cast from the trees would give Fox what he needed to use his shadow magic for them to get away or protect themselves. JUST in case. The trees would also give her more then enough angles to wrap her wires around, again just in case things went bad. Adriana wanted to make sure that they had the home field advantage when dealing with Sinbad, since he was an unknown that she had good reason not to trust yet.

So Adriana would be waiting with Fox at the base of a tree, a bag full of some of their ill-gotten goods resting between them. It would be too suspicious and difficult to carry everything, and also foolish. She wasn't going to risk losing her stuff before her first impression of Sinbad.

Fox did indeed trust Weaver now, after all she'd given him a home to share with her! Sure it might not have been as spacious as a forest but it was pretty cozy, and it had all those neat little modern touches like the lights that worked without flame, a fridge for keeping food cold (it even had an icemaker), and all those other neat touches. So far the most interesting thing he'd discovered was the television.

Today however Adri ( she'd finally told Fox her real name, and he'd told her his own ), and he were going on a little adventure to meet someone new. Fox wasn't exactly sure of all the details, only that things might not be 100% safe. Even so he still trusted Adri and was ready to use his powers to keep them safe if things went bad. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case, but they had a great place to use for their powers if things did go south on them.

"So, what's this person supposed to be like?" Fox asked Weaver. He was wearing his new hoodie and baggy cargo pants, along with his mask. He had used a small enchantment on his own tails to make them appear like a normal belt though, as he'd curled them around his waist to keep them from gaining too much attention.

Greed's ties and webs had started to spread during his stay in Jump. His alias was on the lips of all types of scum and deplorables, for all sorts of different jobs and wants.
Today, he was answering a call from one of those webs that seemed to have grabbed the attention of some up and coming thieves. It worked out well, because he'd wanted to meet the faces behind these jobs anyway. His job was to know people like this, after all.

As he made his way into the park, loud music blaring from the headphones around his neck, Greed wondered why he let them pick the spot anyway. They picked a park in the middle of the day? These guys were either amateurs or knew they'd have some sort of advantage here. Either way, Greed was going to remain on his toes. It'd been a while since he was last set up in a sting operation.

He had no doubts he was in the right place when he spotted the two. The girl looked normal enough, probably barely old enough to be considered an adult. The other one, though, Greed had to infer was around the same age or younger based on height.
"A mask?"

Greed's voice made him sound young as he pulled his pack of cigarettes out of his pockets.
"It's a little conspicuous."

He added, grabbing a cigarette from the box with his lips then lighting it. "Who's the one that's been callin' me?"

"I don't know what they're like personally. I just know from the thoughts I picked up from some of the local gangs, that he provides services for people like us. And I want to move this stuff faster- even if it does cost us a little profit to do it. If he can do at all of course," she explained, keeping her judgement reserved until they started to talk business. The snapping of a twig grabbed her attention. She was also wearing a mask, which was harder to notice with her hood up until Greed got closer. Better safe then sorry.

"That would be me. You came alone," she stated simply. Another handy thing of having Fox around was his keen senses, which in this case were more reliable then her waving her invisible threads around in hopes something encountered them. Adriana was also stating more then asking as she gave her fingers a casual stretch. She would only extend one invisible thread, moving it toward Greed's head so she'd know whether to trust anything he said or not.

"So we'll skip the formalities. How much would it cost us to have you move some hot items?" She asked getting right to the point.

Fox's keen senses picked up on the new arrival long before he came into view.  The sound of footsteps, a breaking twig, even the smell.  While the hint of cigarette smoke was a bit disgusting to him, he could tell that it was masking another odor... something that wasn't quite human.  While 'non-human' might have made most people nervous, it actually helped steady Fox's nerves.

As 'Sinbad' came into view and greeted them Fox couldn't help but touch his own mask once it was mentioned.  He liked this mask darn it!  Why did everyone keep criticizing it?  As the stranger lit up a cigarette Fox let out a little grunt of disapproval.  The smell was not something he liked even a little bit, in fact he found the scent down right awful... even when the smoke was being dispersed outside.

"He's not human."  Fox whispered to Weaver, letting her know what little he'd already found out with just a sniff of the air.  He couldn't really pinpoint what this 'Sinbad' character was, but it wasn't human.

Other than that little quip to Weaver, Fox remained mostly silent... letting Adri do the talking for now.  After all he just wasn't familiar enough with how things should go to help in this situation, or at least not when it came to negotiating.

The first thing she said to Greed was that he came alone, making him spin on his heel a bit to look behind him for a few moments. Almost like he didn't believe her. "It would appear I did, wouldn't it? It's considered polite, in our line of business, y'know?"

The implication that she was mistreating him by bringing a friend hung in the air unsaid. When he blew out a puff of smoke he noticed a slight cringe in the smaller ones posture, so he did the polite thing again and flicked the death stick to the ground and stomped it out. There was no need to make enemies... in fact, if everything went well he'd be making some friends today.

"Skip the formalities? But they're the best part." The Sin whined a bit, stepping closer to the pair with a rather harmless grin on his features. He'd extend his hand in greeting. "I'm Sinbad. You know that, but it's polite to say it anyway. What should I call you kids?"

As he spoke he'd be eying the bag, trying to size up an estimate of what was inside and how much it was worth.

And with her invisible wire attached, she'd be able to tell what he was thinking as his thoughts came up. "It's also unheard of," she responded pointedly to his comment about his being alone. She hadn't been expecting that. But what Fox said made her tense up. He could tell that just by smelling him? "You'll understand then when I ask you to not come any closer. I still don't trust you yet," she commented pointedly, letting it hang unsaid that this city had a number of people with powers or unique abilities.

She did notice that him eyeing her loot, and slid it more behind her on reflex. Yes, she was being paranoid about someone staring at her booty! "Weaver, Fox," she introduced them, gesturing with her free hand.

Fox watched the byplay, not really getting a feel for Sinbad. At least the fellow had put out that awful stink stick, which was appreciated. When Sinbad came forward with his hand extended for a shake Fox was already raising his own hand, that is until Weaver told him not to come any closer for the moment. Fox turned the would be shake into a little wave of greeting instead, seeing no reason to be rude.

As Weaver introduced them both Fox turned the little wave into a more enthusiastic one.

"Nice to meet you." Fox said, chiming in a little bit now. He did notice the look at the bag of loot but didn't think too much of it. After all they'd taken on an entire crew inside that armored truck, so one person (even a not entirely human person) didn't seem that bad by comparison. In fact Fox seemed quite relaxed at the moment, though that also had to do with the fact that Sinbad was standing in the shadow of a tree and could easily be taken care of if the need arose. Hopefully everything would remain friendly though, after all Fox really did enjoy making new friends... even if they had a bad habit of smoking those stinky cigarettes.

Greed frowned a bit when his attempt at a friendly introduction was quickly shot down. This one seemed to be on edge here, not that Greed held it against her. He'd been doing shady business like this for as long as the human race existed. It's only to be expected that he be more comfortable with it than her. He gave the more friendly one a wave and a wink. "Nice to meet you too, Foxy."

Then his attention went back to the girl as his hands found a home in his pockets. This distrust thing was going to quickly turn into a problem, he imagined. He didn't miss the way she stood in front of the bag like that. He let out a bit of an exasperated sigh at the gesture.

"Come on now, Weave. You called me here, remember? You really think I can evaluate your loot, tell ya what it's worth and whether I can get it moved, and make us all some money from way back here? I'm good, kid. Not that good. There's two of you and one of me. Ya gotta learn to lighten up a bit, y'know?"

"Old habits are hard to break," Adriana replied simply, picking up on what he was feeling. Again, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. And what Fox said seemed very accurate. She'd eventually concede to the fact that he would still need to see the loot before anything else, picking the bag up. She even untied the top of it for him.

Surprisingly Fox seemed quite at ease, even if Adri was a little tense. He reclined against the tree behind him, his hands behind his head. After all it's not like he needed his hands to use his magic. Despite his relaxed demeanor he was keeping a keen eye on Sinbad, after all Fox wasn't going to let anyone hurt his best friend. Thankfully it didn't seem like there was going to be any need for anyone to use magic or powers or the like.

"I helped fill that in less than a day." Fox commented as Adri decided to show the bag's contents off. True enough the items in it were pretty much all the items that he'd pickpocketed for Adri the day before, along with a few of the odder items they'd found in the armored truck.

"Pretty good right?" Fox asked with a little laugh.

Despite the 'good cop, bad cop' thing the duo seemed to have going on, Greed got the girl to relent and open the bag. Almost a little too eagerly, he peeked in on his tip toes. He couldn't hide the satisfied smirk at the sight of all that stuff. His selfish nature urged him to kill the two and take it, but he'd become an expert in buttoning that part of his impulsive brain down and acting in accordance to a greater good for himself. It's how he'd survived for so long.

"Tell me then, Darling..." he starts, taking a quick fleeting glance up to Weaver, "is this all? What amount are you looking to haul for something like this. If your Foxy friend is truthful, I think me and you might be in some pretty good business. Not only here, but in the future. I can tell you two seem the type to like money."

He flashed his most friendly smile, his intention to keep a running relationship between himself and the bandito's very genuine.

"And for my reference, what exactly is your guys' specialty? I don't want you to tell me how ya got all this booty, nah, but hypothetically... breakin' and entering type? Lifters? You don't strike as the armed robbery type. Those masks are too adorable."

Adriana still didn't like how casual he was being. Well that wasn't exactly what it was. It was just... his attitude made her uncomfortable for one reason or another. But she did pick up what he was thinking, making her more uncomfortable. Her fingers flexed on reflex when the thought of killing them and taking the loot himself came up. That was exactly something she had considered happening, hence the precautions. But when he didn't act on the urge, she relaxed only slightly. He had given her enough reason to keep her guard up around him.

"I can't say. But do you think I would need help if it was?" She asked pointedly. Adriana had already been pawning off her things as quickly as she could, and it was still not fast enough. "And if we're being hypothetical, we prefer not to get our hands bloody," she said trying to categorize that they would be up for a job as long as there wasn't much bloodshed involved. Not simply because of some personal code. It was more Adriana was worried about someone coming after her if she went around killing people to take their loot.

Fox saw Adri tense for a moment he also tensed along with her, his eyes glowing behind his mask. As much as he might seem at ease he was ready to let loose with his magic at a moments notice. When Adri and Sinbad remained courteous and didn't do anything however, Fox relaxed once more and his eyes dimmed behind his mask. He didn't know what Adri had sensed but he trusted her instincts as much as he did his own.

"Yeah, I also prefer not to hurt anyone." Fox added as Weaver said she'd rather keep her hands from getting bloody. For Fox it really was more of a personal code. After all everything he stole from someone could be replaced since they were just little knickknacks and shiny stuff, a life wasn't something that anyone should be allowed to take from anyone else.

"As for what we take... we take what we want, when we want to. It's remarkably easy, and most people don't even realize we've taken their stuff until we're miles away." Fox said, bragging just a bit. It was true enough in his eyes though, after all he'd hit more pockets than he'd thought possible... then topped it off by teaming up with Weaver to rob an armored truck of all it's goodies and not a single person had suffered worse than a few strained wrists due to Weaver tying them up.

Neither of the two had a price for the bag in mind, and remained vague on whether they even had more. Greed smirked a bit. It'd been a while since he'd dealt with amateurs... it was borderline refreshing. However, if these two were as efficient as they seemed to be it was lucky they found him and not some other fence looking to make a quick buck.

"That's a pretty quick mistake there, hotshot. When you come to a deal like this, the advantage always goes to whoever gives the first number. If you let me do that, there's a pretty real chance I'm about to walk all over you here. So, let's talk about price here again. Is it that you don't know what it's worth? Or is it you don't know what sort of a cut I'd take?"

Greed put his hands in his pockets, noticing that the girl had tensed again. Something strange. He thought he was doing well to make his intentions look sincere here. He was even giving advice about how to negotiate with fences. If all worked out well, they'd have a go to fence and he'd have a golden goose.
