Tomb Raider (Kardus, Ask to join but limited to magical characters only)

It was not the cleanest of entrances. Ingrid would acknowledge that much, as she walked along the barely illuminated passageway. In her wake was a bloody assortment of dead soldiers; Russian from the looks of it and from when they screamed moments ago. As for what Russians were doing near the entrance of some obscure ruins on the outskirts of the mesa, the silver-haired witch could only guess that it had something to do with what lies within it. She herself would not have known of the existence of the ruins if not for the magic pulse regularly emanating from somewhere deep within it, as though beckoning her to come. Though perhaps it was not as welcome as she first thought. The moment she had set foot in the passageway, the pulse suddenly felt more oppressive, as if it was now telling her to go away. She smiled at the futile attempt. Now that it had caught her attention, she intended to see it to the end. It was too late for a change of heart.

As she move forward on the stone corridor, she came upon the first of would be obstacles to her goal, or it would have been, if it had not already been activated prior to her arrival. The Russians were more competent than she thought. Before her was a narrow bridge over a dark chasm. Beside it was an offering bowl with a fresh amount of blood on top of a pedestal. From the runic writing on the pedestal, a sacrifice was required to activate the bridge. Blood was the usual offering for these sort of things. Someone from team Russia knew their lost ancient languages well. Perhaps they had a competent magician working with them? This adventure was starting to get more interesting.



(OOC: Just a quick background for anyone wishing to join. A mysterious force was activated in this ruin, causing a magic pulse to resonate from it in specific intervals. This serves to catch the attention of anyone with magical affinity and would be the main basis for why a character would stumble upon this thread. To make things a little interesting, there are multiple entrances to the ruin and it's up to you what sort of traps you run into at the start. You could even be lucky and find a safe passage with no traps. Russians are also prowling about inside. Of course you can also follow the same path someone else already took. As the thread progresses, you can catch up with or run into others in the ruin and then advance together. To be honest, the faster people meet up, the better, as I intend to make the major traps and encounters something that needs to be faced with more than one person. All paths eventually converge to one heading towards the final destination.)

(P.S. For any non-villain char with a telepathic ability, an ominous "help... me..." accompanies the magic pulse resonating from the ruin. Meanwhile, villainous chars will feel an oppressive aura as they move about inside.)

This chamber was indeed ominous, but for a dragon mage it was no more than unexplored territory. So much magic was gathered here. Kale and his team had come to scout the area, so much magic activating all at once could mean something dangerous was lurking in here, Titans United was going to check out if any threats were going to appear before they had time to gain any real power. Not to mention Kale could also since other forces were in this cavern.

The entrance he was taking was high up, a hatch located near the top of the cavern. "Alright, I'm here...I'm gonna go in first, anyone following radio me once your inside and well rendezvous, do not be afraid to call for back up, we don't know what's in here and this force of magic is one of the strongest I've ever sensed on the planet so far." That being said Brave slid into the top hatch and like a large waterside was carried deep within the ruins.

It was dark, so dark, and the trip inside was long. Just how deep were these caverns!? Finally Kale stopped in a dark pool of liquid. It was like sludge reaching up to his waste - he couldn't move very well. But luckily, he had brought his spellbook and his mage cloak so whatever obstacles he faced here he hopefully had a way to deal with it.

Even so, Kale would wait for one of his comrades to join him for a moment, but if they took a different entrance he would press on ahead without them.

" I am approaching you now, Sword Brother-Pack Leader."There's the rushing sound of condensed wind nearing Kale, and the newest member of the United team, Toji Okami aka Lightning Wolf appears beside Kale, grinning. The wounds on his neck still hadn't faded yet, but there was a remarkable difference from the enslaved warrior that had been him just a short while ago. Thanks to Kale's, Ruin's, and (even if he didn't want to admit it) that jerk, Kishi, Toji had finally found freedom. And since he owed him, Toji had sworn a sword oath to Kale, swearing to always fight by his side, and joined the Titans. And he was positively giddy about it!! The young Halfling had shown himself to be a full on goofball, though he still had awful nightmares......But anyways, a new adventure awaited, and he'll tackle it by the horns!!! "I don't know why, Brother, but this place feels....exciting!!! You think we'll find treasure? Ah, maybe a floating cloth and a magical, gaint summoning flute!!!"

Kale's comrades were not the only ones that would be joining him. A young girl, only 10 years old, carried with her a small, black kitten as she roamed closer and closer to the source... (".....help me..please...") She couldn't get the sound out of her head. Something was calling out. "...Bre...bre dan dura?" Kasha didn't know how to answer that, and it was that very fact that made him all the more suspicious of the calling. Either way, there was no way Annie could simply ignore it.

After roaming the area for a while and avoiding running into some Russian soldiers, the two somehow managed to stumble upon something. The pair spied some kind of shimmering light peeking out through cracks in the ground. After shifting to a wolf and doing a little digging, Kasha managed to uncover what seemed to be a hole just big enough for an adult to crawl through. They could both sense the calling coming from somewhere inside it. Annie peeked inside, and it seemed to go at a slant downwards before leveling off and heading...somewhere... Unsure of the entrance, Kasha went in first after shifting back down to a small kitten. Sliding down the slant, he came to a stop at the bottom, and a quick dash in a short waise showed no signs of immediate danger. A quick "Meow~" later and Annie knew this, stepping and sliding down into the hole. It wasn't too terribly steep so she could climb back up it again. Once inside, Kasha took the lead and ran ahead to act as a scout as Annie followed behind. "Don setche.." she whispered ahead. She knew Kasha would be okay but she didn't like the thought of him getting hurt.

(OOC: Reminder that only villains feel the oppressive aura. Everyone else would feel as though an invisible wave passed by)

About midway across the bridge, Ingrid felt that magical pulse again as it came with its usual timing. She was actually mentally preparing herself for it but the thought proved futile. Again, as though making it perfectly clear she wasn't welcome, there was an oppressive feeling, like getting the shivers, as the pulse resonated through the ruin. Really all that was missing was for a strange voice to actually tell her to go away. She paused to take a deep breath and then pressed on. What was in here that didn't seem to want her around? She wondered.

She finally reached the other side of the bridge that led to a slightly wider cavern. Here, the path split into three. She knew that a Russian squad was ahead of her on this route so she carefully checked around to see if there were signs indicating which passage they took. Footprints would have been the most obvious clue, but strangely enough there were three sets, each taking a path on the fork. Well, maybe it wasn't that surprising. Whoever was leading the Russian squad was very thorough. Thorough and confident enough to split their forces. It was a little disappointing though that this pretty much guaranteed traps and obstacles that might have impeded her would be set off by the Russians beforehand. She was looking forward to how this 'cave' intended to fend her off.

After thinking about it for a minute or so, she decided to wait for the next pulse before making her decision on which path to follow.

Kale found it amazing that Toji didn't even care - notice that the murky substance here was at his chest. This one was always so happy, it made Kale actually just as pumped to see his teammate with such high energy. "Right! Let's press forwar...Hold on." Kale could smell the scent of a human. "Toji, can you smell that?" Toji was a canine like demon half-breed but Kale wasn't sure his senses were on the same level as his own.

"Give me a spark." Kale quickly commanded to Toji so there would be light in the dark cavern, as soon as Toji began to light himself Kale got a glimpse of a squad of humans at the edge of the pool of liquid they had dumped into.

They were Russians! Kale had seen that uniform before and they were pouring a substance into the pool of liquid. Was that gasoline!?! Kale actually could see a bit more now and within moments he noticed that the pool they were in housed many bones and fresh blood.

This wasn't a pool or pond, it was a pit of blood, and they were pouring gasoline in it! Kale was more educated than before he got to Earth and he recognized what Toji's sparks and gasoline would do. "Toji STOP quic--!!"

It wasn't that Kale was too late. It was more so the Russian soldiers never even gave them the option of not having the pool lit on fire. One of the soldiers ignited the pit of blood and gasoline mix with a flamethrower seconds after noticing they had been spotted by the duo.

The entire pool of liquid was engulfed in fire with Toji and Kale in the center of it. However, Toji wouldn't be harmed for Kale was sucking up all the fire around him keeping him preserved in a flame bubble. Then Kale after gourging himself took a deep breath and dispersed the flames with a dragon like wail that echoed all throughout the ruin's.


Kale had no issue in letting all who resided in the ruins know that the Teen Titans were here. The squad of Russians on the other hand made a quick retreat after realizing they failed to kill them. Kale would need time to wade out of the blood and catch up to them but Toji would not. "Catch them!" Kale instructed to the lighting wolfboy.


However when Toji reached them he would find that the group were already being done in by five massive rock golems that seemed to forge themselves out of the ruin walls themselves. Kale must have alerted every creature or being in these catacombs with his vibrant roar. One was broken apart by a hailstorm of bullets from the soldiers but them reformed itself. Brave hadn't made it to Toji yet due to his speed so for the moment the blue haired Titan was on his own.

Toji tilts his head, sniffing.Though his senses weren't powerful enough to be considered a power, they were (very) slightly higher than most humans."Yes, a little, Brother." He then sees the Russians pour a weird substance into the blood pit."What are the-" Suddenly, one of the soldiers light the pool with a dragon stick, and everything explodes, only for Kale to save his neck. TOji let's out a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Brother. You saved my life yet again..." Ordered to chase after the Russians, Toji grins. "Gladly!" Going after them, Toji sees them being attacked by Golems. He winces."Crud...." Walking forward, he grabs a survivor. "Get your men to safety, I'll deal with you bakas later." Grinning, he then pulls out his tanto, transforming it into the Shuriken. Laughing, he clenches his fist, lightning crackling around it. "COME ON! I'LL TURN YA'LL INTO GRAVEL!!" He launches his weapon, slicing a arm off of one of them. Blurring forward, the halfdemon jumps up high, slamming his fist into the glowing hunk of rock floating in the center of it's chest. The golem shudders, staggering back as cracks rrun through it. Jumping backwards, Toji grins."Aaaaaah, so that's how you do it....."

As Kasha progressed through the tunnel and Annie trailed some distance behind, the two were suddenly met with a strange sensation. It was as if some kind of wave passed by them. Annie and Kasha hadn't felt that before, and even now it wasn't that strong, but as they got closer they could certainly feel something. They progressed on and began to sense the presence of others in the cave. Russians, from what they could tell, but also a few other travelers; and it seemed as if a fight were breaking out among some of them. This seemed to be confirmed by an enormous roar echoing through the caves. Annie began to wonder more and more if this was a very bad idea, but she had to keep going. She knew this could be a trap, but even the chance that it wasn't was enough to make Annie want to know who was calling to her for help.

The pair's thoughts were interrupted when Kasha stepped on a pad and triggered a trap in the tunnel. The roof above him pushed down and easily crushed him before he had any time to react. Annie's eyes went wide. "Kasha!?" But the familiar had vanished, and the roof slowly moved back into place. Annie sighed, and within a few moments she was able to re-summon her guardian. She clutched the kitten tightly. "Meno sencta, Kasha.." she said softly, giving him a couple of kisses. Kasha nuzzled her chin, assuring her he was fine, and turned his attention back to the trap. Scurrying ahead, he came to where he had been smashed before and paused, examining the floor there. Sure enough, there was a small seam that showed one of the tiles was not a tile at all, but a rune set up to trigger the trap. Deciding to test the trap, Kasha set up a small force field around himself and stepped onto the rune. Again the roof came down but was blocked by the field, apparently not strong enough break through it. After raising again, Kasha stayed in place, and found that the roof did not come down again. It seemed he needed to step off and then back on again to activate it, like a pressure pad. A little dancing around on the pad made him more sure of this. Certain it was safe for Annie now, the kitten looked to her and gave a soft meow of confidence. Trusting Kasha but cautious of the trap, Annie crawled forward to pass over Kasha, who kept his field up and ready to stop the trap again if he needed. There were no problems, however, and as soon as she was past Kasha ran ahead again, ready to find any more lying ahead.

As luck would have it, there were no further surprises, and at the end was a stone tablet that moved out of the way for them to exit. It was a little hard for a ten year old girl but she got it out. She and Kasha found themselves in a circular room, lined with carvings and figures. After stepping out they replaced the tablet, finding it to be one of the figures carved out of stone. It was subtly different from the rest, though. They would have to remember which one it was in case they left the same way.

Another pulse went by, and again Annie and Kasha could feel it. Was that the source of whatever was calling them? Annie picked up Kasha in her arms again, and the kitten put a force field around her once more. She would likely need it, knowing there were traps and fighting going on.

Speaking of fighting, judging by their telepathic sensing, they guessed that the combat they sensed was far enough away to not be an immediate danger but close enough that they should worry about it anyway. Still, they were relatively safe, or at least felt that way until they sensed someone approaching their room. Both of them looked in that direction. Someone was coming downwards at a slant, and at the angle she was descending she was likely going to enter a room adjacent to their own. There was only one other door to go through besides it, so Annie reluctantly let Kasha go so he could scout the room out in his wolf form. Meanwhile she sat, not close to where they had come in from, and waited. She hoped Kasha gave it the okay before whoever it was came down and found her. It wasn't a Russian, and might not be dangerous, but she didn't exactly feel friendly.

With the next pulse, Ingrid was able to identify which passageway gave off the most oppressive feeling. Whatever was trying to keep her out wasn't very smart. Perhaps the system was merely given simple commands. That was understandable considering the complexity and size of the ruins. As she walked, she noticed that the passageway gradually grew larger. Even Blue might be able to move around comfortably now.

Her musings were suddenly interrupted by what sounded like a roar echoing from deep within the ruins. She smiled, thinking someone must have tripped a trap they shouldn't have. She didn't know what manner of creature roared like that but it definitely sounded like something troublesome to deal with. Uneventful as it maybe, her peaceful path was preferable. Or so she thought.

As she stepped into another larger cavern, she immediately noticed a commotion up ahead. It seemed she had finally caught up with the Russian party who was ahead of her as they were now dealing with the next trap on the path. A pack of what looked like wolves made of stone was attacking the group that was for the most part holding their ground. But the relentless assaults of the stony creatures halted their advance. True to Ingrid's earlier assumptions, they had a mage with them who was quite impressively pulling most of the weight in the fighting.

The exit to the cavern was clearly visible on the other side of the fighting and she deemed it prudent to skip the trouble and proceed directly to it. She would thank the Russians for their distraction by letting them live. Quickly opening a portal, she was suddenly in front of the door leading to the next passageway. The runes inscribed indicated a simple enough condition to open. She simply had to channel a little mana on the special marking. As the door opened, the Russian mage caught sight of her and called out. She didn't understand Russian and so she simply smiled before moving on. He was most likely just furious that she had gotten ahead of them.

Her small victory would be short-lived though. This time, there were no Russians to trigger the traps ahead of her. And so for once, she was up against a worthwhile threat to her little adventure. It was another large passage but she noticed that one side of the wall was covered by a sizable amount of runes that began glowing as soon as she drew close. Rocks and pieces of the wall began to shift and assemble into a huge construct: a rock golem. Well, that explained why the passageway was so big. Unlike the earlier chamber, she could not see where the exit was so using a portal wouldn't get her very far. Perhaps it was a good a time as any to prove to this cave that she wasn't someone that should be taken lightly.

"Blue, remove this nuisance."

At her command, a large blue armor appeared in a flash of light. It immediately raised it sword and then brought it down on the golem's arm, severing it cleanly. In response, the mindless construct tackled the blue giant into the cavern wall, crashing right through it and creating an opening to an adjacent passage.

Ingrid sighed and stepped through after them, her arms crossed. Normally, her blue knight would have withstood that tackle without too much effort, but the footing in the passage way was far from ideal and the stone giant exerted just enough force to cause her knight to lose its balance. As a result, her guardian was now its back with the golem on top of it, punching away with its remaining arm. It was right about then that silver-haired witch noticed she was not alone in that new passage. A little girl, surprised at their sudden entrance was there staring up at her.

"Oh, and who might you be?"

Kale waded through the pool of blood and once clear of it he tried to sense Toji. Lightning Wolf was far enough that he couldn't tell where his scent was and also he couldn't figure out which source of magic in these walls were him. So for now Kale wandered aimlessly in search of Toji, hoping to find his comrade soon.

Eventually he found a hole in a wall and figured that would be some of the half-breeds handy work, but in actuality there were two girls on the other side. Kale hid behind the entrance off to the side, hoping they hadn't seen him. They were just two Earth girls, but they also didn't seem too unnerved at a golem monster fighting a blue century. Kale had to be cautious, so he stood there observing them for a minute. Both were emitting very large magic source power scales.

TOji had carefully watched the golem he had attacked earlier as he dodged and struck at the other golems, and he noticed that it's (heart?) still hadn't repaired itself. The young Halfling laughs. "Alright, now I know how to settle this!! Get ready, pebblebrains, I'm going full out!!" He runs to a spot across the cavern, giving himself enough time to power up.

As he concentrates, a huge, cyan blue bonfire of pure lightning appears around Toji, and anyone could feel magic would feel the huge waves of invisible energy he was letting off. Grinning, the halfling laughs as the bonfire shapes itelf around his body. He raises a hand, and the SHuriken flies into it, transforming into the Chain Sythes. "Alright, now ya'll are mine!!" He rushes forward at full speed, heading to the damaged golem, which was currently menacing the small group of Russian survivors. Dodging blows using agile, parkour style dodging, Toji jumps up, driving his weapons deep into the damaged stone. Jerking the sythes sided to side, he grins as it, the rest of the golem, starts crumbling into dust. Laughing, the halfing looks at the other golems. Running forward, he jumps, and in midair, spins as the sythes shoot of his hands. The weapons rake rapidly at another beast's heart, cutting it apart. Dropping to the ground, Toji powers up a boomer, firing it at one of the last three golems. As it staggers back, it's heart barely hanging on, one of the other takes it's chance, swinging at the Halfling. "Crud, no time to dodge!!" He braces himself, and the Russians stare in shock as Toji
actually takes the blow, only sliding a few inches instead of flying clear across the chamber. The Halfling winces, rubbing his chest as a nasty bruise already forms underneath his shirt."Ow........that's gonna REALLY  hurt, later......" Growling, He picks up his sythes, finishing off the other golem and charging up another boomer, blasting it, causing the stone monster to stagger back as it's heartstone becomes cracked all over. Jumping up, he dropkicks it, laughing as the beast turns to dust. "And now for the finale!!" Dodging blows, he slowly forms a basketball sized ball of lightning who let off waves of energy that equaled the ones the Halfling had let off earlier. Grunting, Toji throws his arms out, firing the Hammer. As it hits the heartstone of the last golem, there's a blinding flash of light and a BOOOOOOM that could be heard throughout the ruins. Sighing, Toji lets his aura dissipate, walking over to the soldiers when his stomach growls. "Hey, you guys got anything for me to eat? And no, I'm not talking about rations, I want real food!!" THe leader blinks, then pulls out a large bag of jerky. "er...here you go, young man..." Toji grins. "Thanks, man. You're kind." Pulling out a jerky stick, he starts gnawing on it."......that's good! Now, I recommend you guys leave this place. You all aren't nowhere near strong enough. But, I'm not going to force you, that choice has to be yours. Oh...and by the way....If I catch you hurting innocents, even on the orders of your superiors, I'll end you." He grins, and even though it looked like his normal, goofy grin, the leader shivered. As the Russians leave, the (newly) second in command demands an answer from his leader."SIR! Why did we let him threaten us?" The leader sighs."Did you see what that boy did? He had no trouble taking those monsters out. We wouldn't even mark him. Now, see if you can get rid of your stupidity. We need to survive, and this place shows no mercy to fools......"

Toji shrugs, lying down on one of the dust piles and pulling out his communicator. Flipping it open, he calls Kale."Hey, Brother! You missed the fun!!! I took on five rock golems!!! It was awesome! I'm going to rest where I'm at for a little bit, one of them managed to bruise me. Se ya when we meet up!" He tilts his head as he feels yt another mysterious pulse, then shrugs, turning his attention back to the jerky.

As Kasha scouted out the next room, he found that it didn't see to have any booby traps in it. What it did have, however, was a strange looking door with some runic writings across the top. Unsure of what to do with it, the wolf just kind of stared for a while. It didn't help him read the writings at all...

Meanwhile it seemed that Annie was having visitors. Through reading Ingrid's mind, she had been able to tell that there was a fight going on between a golem that had appeared and a blue suit of armor that the witch has summoned. What Annie HADN'T seen coming, however, was the battle breaking through the wall between them and overflowing into her section of the caverns. Suddenly alarmed, the girl jumped, sprang to her feet, and made a quick, panicked dash to the other side of the room. As she stood well away from the fighting and watched it progress, Ingrid caught sight of her. Annie froze for a moment, not sure if she should run away or respond. Kasha made that decision for her, and he was summoned back to her arms in his kitten formed. Should the be in danger he was now much more able to protect her. Annie started to focus on reading Ingrid's mind and personality, trying to figure out how to best get along with her. (Hint hint) "H-hi.." she responded. "M-my name is Annie..." As she spoke she found it impossible to ignore the golem and knight fighting and tired her best to stay away from it.

Meanwhile, Kasha had made himself aware of the person lurking just around the corner. He was hoping that neither he nor the witch were threats to them, but with all the combat going on they couldn't be too sure. Neither one was Russian though, so there was that at least. Kasha tried to observe Kale's thoughts and personality to judge if he was a threat and how best to get along with him. (Hint hint)

As Ingrid awaited the little girl's response, something happened that caused the witch's eyes to narrow with suspicion. A small kitten-like creature had appeared out of nowhere in the little girl's arms. Kitten-like, because as far as she knew, normal kittens did not just appear out of thin air. She came to the preliminary conclusion that this girl was likely a mage as well. But was she acting alone, or was she with Russia? Ingrid was not the type to be emotionally swayed just because someone had a cute unassuming appearance. Still, it didn't look like the girl was acting and was genuinely nervous. Ingrid was fairly confident she'd be able to notice easily if they tried lying to her.

"Annie huh? That doesn't tell me much. But I suppose you're the first thing I've encountered in this cave that hasn't tried to hurt me or get in my way somehow. It would be wisest that it stayed that way."

"Ingrid Lowen, independent witch. You will address me as Ms. Ingrid or Ms. Lowen, nothing more, nothing less."

It was less of a subtle threat and more of establishing a status quo. It was typical of Ingrid to keep people in line even if they had only just met. Little girl or not, there was rarely any exception.

"Let me make it perfectly clear. I intend to claim whatever it is waiting at the end of this cave. If you are plotting anything or withholding anything that may get in the way of my goal, then I shall treat you as an enemy, plain and simple. So, you can either do nothing... or assist me, but expect that you have to take care of yourself. I have no intention of babysitting."

When she first arrived at the ruins, Ingrid had said something very similar to the Russian soldiers she encountered at the entrance. Their first response was to open fire. Needless to say, that did not end well for them at all. It just goes to show she did not really care if you were Russian or not. You were either useful, useless or something to be removed.

Meanwhile, the fight between her familiar and the golem was drawing to a close. Though it was never really much of a fight anyway. The stony creature merely got a lucky hit. As proof, after about five consecutive punches, its own arm crumbled from repeatedly striking the blue knight's formidable armor. With little effort, the knight pushed the golem off, causing it to stumble backwards to the cavern wall. Blue then got back on its feet and assumed fighting stance. As the golem charged for a second time, it found itself quickly and decisively cleaved in half. Ingrid clapped her hands twice: a very mild expression of praise, before turning her attention back to Annie.

"I would rather not keep things open-ended. So let us decide once and for all how we shall close this encounter."

Would the girl go with her or not? As though right on cue, the magic pulse resonated again from within the cave. It was as oppressive as ever. Ingrid briefly wondered if everyone who could feel it felt the same. Well, she would know from Annie's expression.

Kale listened intently, "Let me make it perfectly clear. I intend to claim whatever it is waiting at the end of this cave. If you are plotting anything or withholding anything that may get in the way of my goal, then I shall treat you as an enemy, plain and simple."

The little girl aside this other female was a witch, Kale could smell witch fairly easily or maybe it was his wizard genes that drew him towards her scent and magic - like a bull to a cow.

In any case Kale had to decide what he would do in this situation. He opened his spellbook, muttered a few words under his breath and sent an orb of light that sprung from the book to find Toji it would bring the half-demon to this location.

However, to make matters a bit more difficult his intercom went off. Kale turned it down but the wolf familiar had already caught on to him. The smart situation would be to run and wait for Lightning Wolf as back-up but with this little girl involved Kale wasn't sure retreat was a good option.

And by "wasn't sure" of course he meant NEVER! His name was Brave of course, the day he retreated from humans was the day he denounced his dragon heritage.

"Decisions already been made." Kale said as he stepped from the open closing with his hand ignited in flame. "If you're gonna harm humans or this planet with whatever power runs through these ruins then as a Teen Titan I will be the final obstacle." Kale as usual brazenly addressed those he sought as a possible opponent. He had left his spellbook behind though, Toji would come right too it once the scrying orb found him. Hopefully, Kale would be alright until then if things went bad.

Toji had managed to doze off, but he awakens with a start as a glowing orb bobs up and down in front of his face. "Ah...that must be Kale's magic! I think I recognize the spell." It didn't even occur to him that it was a will-o-the-wisp style foe, probally because he was one of those guys who enjoy getting into crazy situations anyway.......Grinning, the halfling pops up, following the orb at full speed. It took a couple of minutes to reach Kale's location. "Here I am, Blade-Brother, Pack-Leader!" He skids to a stop in front of Kale, slamming into a nearyby wall. "..........Ow...." jerking himself out the imprint, he rubs his nose. Seeing the girls, he blinks, changing his chain sythes into a gaint shuriken. "Foes? Or freinds?"
