Toji holds up his hand, bringing his weapon back to it. Catching it, the halfling staggers, transforming his Arms back into tango forming and slipping it back in his built." Dang kiddie body..." Then, the witch advises him to use electric, and he grins." Yeah, I can do that, haha!!" Toji let's off a huge blitz of boomers, running them up and down the monsters body.Then, cystral spikes begin to fly everywhere. Toji quickly glances at his comrades.K, the younger was under the shield..the witch...Toji quickly glances around her, looking for something that he could knock down..that pillar!!!The halfling temporarily turns his attention to the base, knocking it over so the witch could have cover, then turns back to the monster, ignoring the cuts he's getting as he blasts boomer after boomer.

Annie held firmly to her kitten, watching through the shield as Kasha kept her protected. She still didn't feel like she was doing much right now, but this time she knew that could change. Kasha wouldn't let her take down the shield for him to fight; it was too dangerous for her. But she could protect the other two if they needed it. Ingrid was given cover, but Toji was still open to attack and was in fact getting hit quite a bit. Soon she started running, and got between Toji and the creature to provide cover for him. Kasha kept his eyes on the centipede. It may be magic but there was enough of a consciousness there that he could read it; and if he could read it's mind he could predict it's actions. Should it sense a larger attack coming, Kasha would take a split second to reconfigure the shield to cover Toji as well.

The Titan was doing a good job of driving the the creature off. Meanwhile, Ingrid was doing her job of finding the core. It would typically be somewhere well-protected so getting the big centipede to flail about like that was helpful enough. After a couple of minutes, she finally spotted a red spherical gem embedded on the underside of the centipede on one of its body sections located near the middle.

"I have located the core! It's on the 12th section under the body. A red sphere. You can't miss it."

With the large creature constantly moving and regularly shooting out crystal shards, it was a challenge to find an opening to get close. Since the core was on the underside, it was difficult to get a constant visual as well to use her portals. Admittedly, she would need everyone present to try and break it if they did not want to be held up here all day.

The centipede shifted its body again, briefly giving Ingrid another glimpse of the core. She opened a portal in response and fired a couple of rounds but was only able to hit the surrounding body.

Toji grins.." Roger, roger!! Alright, time to go full speed!!!" He widens his stance, aiming at the section indicated, and switches to poppers, the smaller, large bullet type spheres. Then, he let's off. The balls traveled fast enough it looked like a solid beam, and the halfling grins, only to gape as a large crystal spike comes shooting at his head.".......crud..."

Annie suddenly found something to do as the spike hurled down at Toji. Ready as Kasha was, the dome shield around him and Annie dissipated only to reform big enough to engulf Toji as well. The spike was deflected from it's course and instead drove itself into the ground. Annie kept the shield over them, looking up at the monster to see what Toji's blasts did to it.

The Titan found himself in a tight spot, being attacked at the same time he shot his spheres. A noble sacrifice, Ingrid thought, until the little girl shielded him from the incoming crystal. Well, from what she had seen so far, making shields was the only thing the girl was good for. They were quite sturdy too. In the meantime, the Titan's attacks met their mark, or almost did. The collection of spheres hit the right section, and being made of lightning themselves, did some damage anyway and caused the large creature to reel back. Its underside was now completely exposed and she saw a crack on the core, suggesting it only needed one more good hit.

Ingrid however would not be able to take this one. As the creature crashed into the cave wall, she had to dive to the side to avoid crystal falling from on top of her when the passage shook. She looked to her fellow questers if either of them would be able to finish it off, else she would do it. But she would have to get to safety first.

Toji blinksas the spike is deflected, then grins as he sees the shield. The halfling looks at Annie and Kasha." Thanks, you two. Saved my butt."He steps out of the shield, firing a blitz off again, then stepping back inside." This guy is a real nuisance.."

"It's more than a nuisance.. Whoever built this place didn't want anyone coming down here." Annie began to wonder of whatever voice she was hearing was in fact a prisoner trying to escape... Kasha kept aware of Toji's movements and plans, making sure that he and his attacks were able to phase out of the shield.

The last few shots finally hit their mark. As the core shattered, large cracks began to appear on the crystal centipede, glowing momentarily before breaking apart, the large chunks falling on the cave floor. That took longer than expected but Ingrid supposed it was worthwhile enough setback as they all emerged unharmed. This thought however caused her to pause for a moment. She was starting to care about the others? No, that couldn't be right. Perhaps it was a side effect of the age regression. She vaguely remembered her younger self to be more naive and trusting: a past she would rather not talk about or even recall. It was getting over that naivety that led her to being what she was today.

Ingrid proceeded to inspect the remnants of the crystal creature and found what looked like a key of some sort among the pieces that made up the core. That sufficiently confirmed that defeating the creature was the correct choice over attempting to run and avoid it. She held on to the key, expecting that they would have to use it really soon.

She was sweating. She hadn't noticed it before as they were just recently locked on a battle for their lives, but the temperature in the cave was slightly higher than before. Well, it was less of heat and more of humidity actually. Humidity in a cave deep underground? Yet another mystery in their on-going journey. As they kept walking, it didn't take very long for them to spot a light at the end of the tunnel. She quickened her pace a bit. Though they saw blood in the area with the centipede, there were hardly any remains to suggest that the Russians were wiped out there. In that case it was only logical to assume they had gone ahead, and so she had to catch up.

The light was getting brighter as Ingrid finally approached the exit. She briefly shielded her eyes until she got used to the brightness. What she saw before made her question if they were still underground. It was a forest, lush and green, like what you find in a tropical country. But on the edges of the forest you could clearly see the cave walls surrounding it, confirming that they were not outside but in a very large cavern. Overhead, the source of the light was a large orb floating in the center of the ceiling. If you didn't look up, you would think that you were outside in the midday sub. Right under the orb at the center of the cavern was a big temple-like structure. It seems they had finally reached the last stop of their dungeon crawl.

Toji grins as his last shots finish it off. "Well, its nothing now." He looks around, checking on Ingridn. Alright...she was good, and so were the other two.Good, good..There's been enough lives lost in this...He follows Ingrid, stepping through the exit." Woah.....beautiful."
