Afraid of the Dark?

Characters Appearing: The Fallen (Necati)
Summary: Necati has come to claim another soul to add to his collection. Little does he know that this particular prize is the mayor of the city. Thus is directly linked to the Titan HQ.
Time: Around 1 AM

It was a dark and dreary night in Jump city. The wind whipped through the deserted streets as the rain came down in thick sheets across the black outlines of the buildings. For the most part the city lay silent and black. Most of theresidents had taken the ominous night to be just that and found it best thatthey try and rid themselves of the day with sleep. Acrack resonated through the air as lightning danced it’s way across the skycasting shadows across the city. Necati’s cold gray eyes stared into the night sky as he let the rain prick his skin. Closing his eyes he just let the water wash over him as it stimulated his sense and brought a little bit of lifeback to his face. Breathing deeply he stood there a few more moments. Times like these where he felt even half human where few and far between. Lowering his head Necati glided forward moving silently downt he dark back ally. The storm raged overhead but around him there was a certain tranquility and peace. It was as if nature itself were weary as to cross the creature. Though, nature was right...Necati was here on business tonight. Fate had decreed that a certain middle aged man was to die tonight. Moving slowly he exited the ally coming out in the middle of a residential district.

Looking about one could only guess that these where upper-class dwelling places. Each house was heavily adorn with colonnades, balconies and other pleasantries common of the rich. Necati smiled with delight. People who cared so much for their superficial appearance where always his favorite souls to claim…for some reason they believed that their wealth, power or fame gave them a chip that they could use to bargain with…that their accomplishments made them immune to death and fate's will. Yes, how Necati loved to watch fear grip them when they realized that all their success in life meant nothing to The Fallen. Oh how he loved to watch them squirm and beg for more time as they peered into the black void. Their fear, anger and overall dismay brought joy to Necati and it was for these very moments that he even existed. Moving on he arrived at his destination. The estate was a large four story dwelling with a couple balconies and statues that littered the law and porch. Security cameras hung from every corner and light radiated from the house. A deep scowl worked its way across his porcelain feature. It appeared that he was expected. Gliding forward he moved into the gate and immediately all the light and windows in the house shattered. Darkness and shadows claimed the dwelling. Moving on a wry laugh escaped Necati's throat. “Much better.”

Standing outside the mayor's house, Will leans against a tree when he feels a breeze past him and watches a shadow make it's way to the door of the manor.

Necati’s hooded face turned to look around as he moved towards the house. A smile crossed his face as it fell upon Will. Apparently someone had come to the house to pay their respects to the mayor. Turning back to the task at hand the reaper walked towards the door disappearing into a cloud of dark mist upon contact. Reappearing on the other side Necati glided stealthy up the first flight of stairs towards the mayor’s room. Turning slowly he watched the heavy wooden front door. He was interested to see if the uninvited guest would be foolish enough to follow him this night. A few moments pasted in eerie silence as he waited at the top of the stairs.

Seeing the shadow turn into a cloud and enter the house, Psychosis runs across the yard to enter the house. Instead of going in through the door though, Will jumps and lands on the balcony where he enters through the glass door. Will rushes to the other side of the room and silently opens the door to see the shadow standing at the staircase in the dark. Unsure if the shadow has seen him yet because most of the lighting being turned off, Psychosis walks quietly to the shadow from the side.

The darkness was part of him ever ebbing and moving…breathing around Necati it was as if it came to life. His hooded face turned toward the boy as his heavy gaze loomed menacingly over him. Turning he faced Will who now stood in his path toward the mayors room. Necati’s voice came out as not but a hiss as he lifted his scythe allowing it to rest on his shoulder.

“What business do you have here interloper. Can you not see this mater does not concern you.”

Oh but they do. I saw a vision of you coming to end the mayor's life, but can't let you. Sorry, but I didn't like seeing what'd happen if in my vision of the new mayor being elected. I value the lives of my friends and this city too much, I can't allow you to end the mayor's life yet.

Will stands up firmly and prepares for the demon to begin the fight. He rolls this sleeves out of the way and up his arms.

"You mistake my roll boy...I am not here to end his life that will happen with or without my intervention. I am simply here to collect the soul and move it to the after life." A wicked laugh escaped his throat. "You forget that visions are but mirrors of what might or might not be. They are as fluid as water and change with every decision and action that is made. Perhaps this new mayor will bring about your end and perhaps you can change this. However, this is not the part of the story that shall or can be rewritten. Father time has called in the debt this man owes and I shall collect it."

Necati moved slowly forward gliding over the steps directly towards Will. He was not allowed to kill the boy. Though, if he posed to much of a nuisance he would deal with him...

Necati shot forward in a blur of black closing the distance between him and Will almost instantly. At the same time he brought the broad side of scythe around in a powerful horizontal swing. The blow was meant to send Will flying up the stair case and inflict a bit of pain nothing more. As Necati had said he was not hear to kill the boy...no he had an air of fate about him that required he lived.

Flying back, Will stops short from hitting the wall and lands on his feet. He grins at Necati before running forward.

Will chants the word as he stops infront of Necati and thrusts his palm into Necati's stomach. Will's hand shines as the orb of white magic breaks into Necati's torso.

Holy magic was this boy thinking clearly. Was he really about to begin an war of magic with the oldest and greatest of sorcerer death himself? The light orb exploded on his torso as the energy shot through his body and what would be called pain to mortals moved through his system from the force. Almost instantly it dissipated though as the dark magic that thrived in his body came forth healing the damage. It would take much much more than that to hurt Necati. Under the cover of the dark hood a smile played across the Reapers face.

"My turn."

His left hand shot out glowing jet black as he grabbed Will's head in his palm. The energy ignited and exploded in Will's face with enough energy to send him through a couple of wall if the hit with the full effect.

Laying in the rubble of the wall he crashed through, Will rubs the dirt out of his eyes. Will grabs his T talkie and presses the talk button.

Hey Sage, yeah. Ill take you up on that offer of you joining in.

Moments after Psychosis had sent out the distress. The entrance he had originally come through would be busted down and Sage armored up from head to toe with marble steps in.

"You know Grim, we gotta quit meeting like this."

JaK would then let out a battle cry as he ran towards Necatti and went for a hi jump kick towards the hooded figure. Either the titan was very brave or just failed to realize the seriousnes of the being he was attacking.

Psychosis stands up and starts to look through his spell book while Sage fights Necati

Necati turned as the new comer spoke and annoyance began to seep through is body like venom. It appeared that this Sage boy had a knack for getting in his way. Watching Sage run at him preparing a high kick Necati could only laugh at the futility of it. Lifting his hand a wall of pure black came forth from the floor blocking the kick a mere 6-12 inches from Necati’s face. A low laugh escaped him. “Foolish how very foolish.” In a blur of movement the wall dropped and Necati’s scythe came flying across his body in a horizontal bash aimed for Sage’s stomach. The blow was positioned so that if it connected it would send Sage into Will and then hopefully through the wall behind them.
