Eyes Like Fire. (open)

Ravian stepped through the streets with his hoodie up. He was looking for a certain altered human that he had seen around a few days ago. The guy had really been through something big, some experimental regeneration drug or something along those lines. It hadn't gone terribly well for him and he ended up not being too happy with medicine in general, right now he was planning on how to take down a hospital with the body the treatment had given him. Luckily, Ravian had caught wind of the incident in Crash Alley after a brief interrogation of the dirtier, not in the literal sense, individuals.

"'Bout time." Ravian said as he was the tip of a plated, scaly tail inside of a thin alley. This would make thing a good bit easier. The giant wouldn't have anywhere to dodge in such a small area. This would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

As Ravian drew closer he felt the energy in his eyes flow. He was more than ready for this. Ravian lifted into the air a short distance and bolted for the alley's entrance before shooting a beam of kinetic energy straight down the middle of it. There was a great roaring sound and a great deal of debris as the monster of a man got tumbled down the alleyway before landing on the block of the other side, denting in the side of a car "What the hell was that you scum!?!"


Ravian floated through alleyway, his eyes outlined by bright light. "Caught wind of you plan, you're going down." he said with a smile before shooting off a cutting blast, severing one of the former mans horns. It was a lucky shot, just the right angle to get the full cut. He was about 10 feet tall too, no push over. Ravian's eyes continued glowing as he got closer, telling him the monster's powers. "You need a codename. You used to be a soldier before this, right? How about...Dino-sir, he laughed, "Yeah, that'll stick!" His strength was behemoth compared to Ravians, 5 tons but the real danger was his healing factor, his horn had already stopped bleeding. The other problem was the grayed portions of his body, including the middle of his chest tail and the crest on his head, along with his spikes and horns. They were harder than tempered durallinium, in other words, practically invulnerable. His weakness? On his back, below the spines, above his tail, a two foot long, one foot wide weak spot leading right to his spine, probably around where he had been injected with what did this to him.

"I'll tear you apart!" Dino-sir yelled before charging into the alley, tearing through the brick like balsa wood. "Oh crap!" Ravian said, his flight momentarily failing him before working at the last second, but not before getting scraped by one of his horns, "Son of a....ow!!" Ravian yelled at him before falling back to the ground and shooting a beam at Dinosir's lower back only for it to be blocked by his tail. This was going to be harder than first thought.

Shivering Jemmy was sitting on the sidewalk outside an ice cream shop, eating a vanilla cone. She had been trying to be good for so long that she was starting to get anxious. The ice cream helped, but it was becoming less effective. She needed to do something fun, really fun.

The sound of crashing bricks alerted her to possible fun. She closed her eyes and searched the minds of everyone around her. Two people were fighting, both meta-humans. Jemmy was supposedly going to be a hero from now on, so she decided to help out the hero. Dino-Sir, most appropriately named, seemed to be out of his mind, so Jemmy would do what she could to stop him.

Jemmy suddenly appeared right in front of Dino-Sir, hanging upside down. Her yellow hair swayed a little as she smiled at Dino-Sir. A red balloon hung above her, holding onto her ankle with its ribbon to suspend Jemmy in mid-air.

"Hi."

Jemmy stabbed her ice cream into Dino-Sir's eye. No matter how tough someone was, they never liked having ice cream shoved in their eye. Dino-Sir stopped running and swiped at Jemmy. His claws found nothing but air and more bricks, for Jemmy had disappeared. Dino-Sir roared in frustration, trying to understand what had just happened.

Jemmy had reappeared, standing twenty feet behind Dino-Sir. "Now give up or else..." Jemmy paused. Or else what? She wasn't supposed to kill people, but what else could she do to him? "...just, or else."

Dino-Sir was not impressed. While his eye was still cold and his vision a little obscured, Dino-Sir decided that Ravian was the bigger threat. As he turned to face the young man, Jemmy frowned. She did not like getting ignored.

Well that certainly wasn't something Ravian had planned on. A little girl? A magical little girl no less. A magical little girl whose power was...Oh, she was gone. Ravian's eyes revealed nothing to him right then, she was gone to fast to get a good look, but at least she had done something to bother Dino-sir. His eyes, right. Ravian probably should have kept looking for weaknesses a bit longer. Though maybe that one was just too obvious for him to pick up on.

"Hey there...girl." he said, unable to focus on her now that she wasn't next to his enemy. He supposed she must be his ally, helping him out and all. That was good, hopefully he wouldn't have to know her powers or, more importantly, her weaknesses this way. "You be careful. I can see that you have some sorta of powers but this guy is pretty tough." Ravian said as Dino=sir roared loudly.

"Oh cra-Okay look. I was a bit sarcastic before but you don't need to throw tha-" Ravian stopped mid-sentence as his eyes released a red beam of energy to deflect the car that had just been hurled at him. Unofrtunately one of the tires fell of and socked Ravian in the chest, knocking him back and down. "That fricken hurt." he said with a groan. He then floated back up and, after a smell red line appeared, shot out a sharp beam of invisible light at his left foot. It disabled it, but that would only last for a few seconds at most. "Game plan is to go for the small of his back, don't get hurt. Go." he said, staring to run to the side, shooting a few short bursts of kinetic energy at Dino-sir.

The would-be hero, Ravian, as he called himself, hailed Jemmy and told her to be careful. Jemmy read his mind, which included a lot of uninteresting information about this lizard guy. He was really strong, really tough, and he could heal. Something about the armored plates was important, but Jemmy didn't quite catch what it was before Dino-Sir threw a car at Ravian. The young man's thoughts scrambled as he reacted quickly to deal with the incoming danger. Red beams of energy came out of Ravian's eyes and blew the car up.

Jemmy cheered. "Now that was cool!"

Unfortunately, a tire from the car slammed into Ravian's chest, knocking the human to the ground.

As he got back up, Ravian started shooting more beams at Dino-Sir, and told Jemmy to go for the small of his back. Jemmy pouted. "Don't tell me what to do."

Jemmy picked up a brick and teleported on Dino-Sir's shoulders. She slammed the brick into his head, but it didn't carry enough force to actually hurt the mutated monster. Dino-Sir brought a fist up and punched Jemmy in the face, sending her flying into a brick wall some thirty feet behind her. Jemmy's face was covered in blood, and she fell to the ground in a clump.

"Ouch." It hadn't actually hurt, but Jemmy didn't like getting punched in the face. Her brilliant plan of using a brick hadn't worked. Maybe she would have to actually do as Ravian said. She stood up, her body already completely healed. As Dino-Sir chased Ravian around, Jemmy put a finger to her chin. What could she hit Dino-Sir's back with that would hurt him a lot?

As Ravian went to the side, the girl didn't seem to even think of listening to his advice. In fact, she seemed to purposely avoid following his advice after saying something about not telling her what to do. That was weird. He quickly decided that after he would have to have a talk with this girl after he finished off Dino-sir. She couldn't be running around at her age, saving the day and ignoring others help. She would get herself killed or, worse, get others killed. She needed to learn.

Learn she did. Ravian's eyes widened as she took a direct hit to the jaw from the beast. 'Dead.' Ravian immediately though. She was dead, beyond dead. Her head was mush! Then her body was mush, as it ran into a brick wall. The brick wall wasn't even close to her, she had practically flown into it. He had made her fly with a punch.

'Note to self. Don't get punched' he thought quickly before shooting a beam at the creatures other foot and rushing to the girl, just to check if by some miracle she was....She was alive?!?! "How are you?..." he started before remembering that Dino-sir would be up on his feet by now. Of course it was less of a sudden remembering than it was Ravian hearing the pounding if Dino-sirs feet on and through the pavement "Pull yourself together, literally if you have to." he said, turning around quickly to stop the charging Dino-sir and drive him back several meters with a kinetic beam.

"If you wanna help, hit him where I told you to with...something! he yelled.

Ravian ran over to Jemmy and seemed understandably surprised by her being alive. He asked how she was. Jemmy cracked her neck loudly. "Can't complain." She realized from her telepathy that she had misunderstood the question that he had trailed off on. Ravian was now dealing with more important matters, like the giant monster running right towards both of them. "Oh, good job giving me time to think."

But Jemmy decided that thinking hadn't worked well for her today. Ravian told her to hit Dino-Sir in the previously stated place with...something. That wasn't very helpful. Ravian managed to push Dino-Sir back a few meters, giving Jemmy a brief moment to look for something sharp.

Bingo, Jemmy spotted a broken glass bottle. Wasn't pollution great? She teleported over to the bottle, picked it up, and teleported behind Dino-Sir. She stabbed him in his 'weak spot,' the small of his back. To her surprise, the glass managed to break his skin, though not very deeply.

Dino-Sir whipped his tail up and slapped Jemmy in the back of the head, flattening her against his back. "I'm okay. I'm just fine." The tail came up again, and Jemmy's body fell apart from the force.

A few seconds later, the girl's 'corpse' disappeared and reappeared, assembled and uninjured, next to the red balloon, which was floating beside Ravian. "Well, I kinda hurt him."

He wasn't sure what was up with this girl. She could teleport and seemed to be nigh invincible, except not invincible. She had bled, so maybe she was just a really fast healer? He guessed that worked, it was still insane though. The girl didn't even seem to be hurt. As soon as this fight was over he was gonna have to have a good long look at her to see what powers she had, not to mention hopefully a weakness or two.

For now he had to keep his eyes on Dino-sir though. That behemoth wasn't showing many signs of calming down, in fact Jemmy's little stunt seemed to have make him a lot angrier. The monster roared out in frustration and anger. Ravian winced out the sound. He was loud, really loud. Of course, being as huge as he was probably had something to do with that.

"Good job. You should really start carrying something that can do damage though." Ravian said to the girl before releasing a kinetic beam at the top of Dino-sir's crest, nearly knocking him backwards. "But I guess until then. I'm gonna have to be the one to take him down. Get his attention and keep it for a second or two. I'll finish him off." Ravian said. His eyes narrowed for a moment.

"I'm depending on you kid." he said before leaping to the side as Dino-sir charged forward. "Watch out!" She had survived massive damage before. He bet she would be able to handle this, at the least. He would wait until Jemmy made an opening for him, then disable the beast, assuming she didn't run away on him.

Get his attention? Jemmy could do that. She teleported in front of Dino-Sir's again and gave his face a big hut. She read in his mind that he was going to punch her again, so she teleported away at the last moment. Dino-Sir ended up punching himself in the face. Of course, with his durability and healing factor, it didn't do any real damage. But this was just a distraction.

"Stop hitting yourself," Jemmy said, now standing fifteen feet in front of the monster. Dino-Sir started following Ravian's movement. Oh no. Jemmy had to do something quick to get all of Dino-Sir's attention.

She screamed the most annoying sound she could make as loud as she could. "Aaaaeeeeeee..." Dino-Sir covered his ears. The sound was simply grating. He ran up to the annoying little girl and shouldered her into the wall. Jemmy's body was crushed. As she started to heal, though, Jemmy grinned. She had bought Ravian the time he needed.

At least she had a sense of humor. That was something. It made up for the huge amount of weirdness he felt radiated from the girl. She didn't seem normal, even for her powers. Of course, maybe he just found the thought of a little girl being able to have her skull crushed with no adverse effects unnatural. She didn't even show pain...which brought up the thought that she might just be used to it. That thought didn't help ease any unpleasant feelings at all though, in fact, it made them much, much worse.

She did seem to be a child though, so he hoped she just didn't feel it. Even with that hope he had to cringe when she was rammed into a wall, but he had his shot now! He quickly took it, hopeful that no more walls, cars and bones would be crushed, splattered or otherwise ruined today. "Gotcha," Ravian said as the kinetic beam rammed into the small of Dino-sir's back. The giant lizard was unconscious almost immediately, falling down and over. "Good job. Thanks for the assist." Ravian said as he walked over an made a small incision in the giant's skin and dabbing it with a piece of paper. "Souvenir." he said to her with a smile.

Jemmy healed completely and wiped the blood off of her. Her dress absorbed the red stains on it and appeared to be completely clean now. Ravian had managed to shoot a beam into Dino-Sir's back, taking the monster down. The hero then ran up to the downed opponent and cut a small bit of skin off.

"Eww."

As Ravian looked up and smiled at Jemmy, he would finally have the chance to discover what her powers were, and the horrible truth about what she was. This innocent looking girl who had helped him in this fight was a Lord of Chaos. If he did learn about her true nature, Jemmy would know it, thanks to her telepathy.

"So Ravian," Jemmy said casually. "Do I get to eat him now? Can that be my souvenir?"

He rolled her eyes at her 'ew'. She didn't know that the blood samples would be useful one day. If he wasn't completely sure any blood he took from her would disappear he would have been trying right now. He briefly wondered if her hair would disappear but decided that it probably would. She seemed to recover from any damage completely.

He stood up and was ready to leave when the girl said the strangest thing. "W-What?...No. You can't eat him. He isn't even dead." Ravian said, not entirely sure why the last part really mattered. She shouldn't be eating him no matter what! There was food everywhere, cannibalism wasn't an option....even if the victim wasn't exactly human.

"Why would you want to eat him?" Ravian said, forgetting he could check her powers now thanks to his confusion and shock.

"He isn't?" Jemmy checked. He didn't have any thoughts coming out of his mind, but she noticed that he was still alive, just not awake. Normally, she wouldn't consider it a problem to eat a living person, but Ravian seemed opposed to it. He even asked why she would want to eat a person, mutated as they might be.

"Um...Just kidding. I don't actually want to eat him. It was just a joke." It was a lie, and she hoped he didn't notice. "Anyways, we saved the day. Hurray. What do we do now? Do we take him to jail?" She had never tried to be a hero before, so she wanted to see it go the whole way through. "Do we have to testify in court or something?"

"The good guys don't kill people. That's a rule. The first rule." He said, clearly irritated with the girl. He wasn't sure that had been just a joke at all. Who joked about that?! Only the kind of person who, as a small girl, had her body decimated and reconstructed on a regular basis...Oh wait. That's what this girl did go through.

Ravian quickly decided she was dangerous. He didn't know what to do about it though. "The police will be here soon. They'll figure something out. He'll be out for hours. They have the resources to hold him...hopefully. Can't do much more than that without killing him." he said. Looking over the girl. He suddenly slapped his hand to his face, realizing he had one more thing to do. "No testifying...but stay still for a moment." he said with a smile, his eyes beginning to glow, "I just need to see something."

Don't kill people? That seemed like a rule that would just get in the way. Of course, Bow made it look cool and even easy. Jemmy wasn't sure if she would be able to avoid killing people if they stood in her way. Still she nodded at Ravian's words. "Gotcha."

The police would be here soon, Ravian said. They would be able to deal with him, although there wasn't much more that could be done without killing him. Jemmy had to agree with that. Even if they cut off his hands, he would simply regenerate them with his powers.

At least she didn't have to testify. That was a relief. Jemmy had the feeling she wouldn't like a courtroom. Ravian said he needed to see something and stared at her with glowing eyes. Jemmy blushed and took a cute pose.

"Are you trying to find out my powers? Go ahead. I have nothing to hide from you, Ravian." It was possible that just learning what Jemmy actually was would send Ravian into a mental shock, but he seemed like a tough boy. She had no real reason to avoid letting him know about her, so she just stood there and waited to see the reaction on his face.

Gotcha? He shouldn't have needed to be gotten. There wasn't anything to get. Since when do heroes kill people? He thought it should have been obvious. It wasn't simply a rule, it was an unspoken rule that everybody knew.

Soon he knew why she didn't really get it though. First, let it stand that Ravian was not a fan of magic. It didn't really mess with his powers, but it was much harder to understand, nothing about it could be assumed. He had to focus, just a bit more, to effectively understand it. So, even only a moment after he had activated his power, he already didn't like this girl.  

A moment later, he really didn't like her. He was clearly surprised and a bit scared for a moment. His expression then became more serious, as he kept eye contact with her for a moment, before looking at her balloon for a moment. Her weakness. He wouldn't bother popping it though. He didn't need to make an enemy of her. He knew that, and thanks to that, she knew that.

"You...don't." he said flatly. He had stopped to think, but the only thing he could really think was that he shouldn't think. He had a bit of training from...previous events, on what to do when faced with a telepath, but none of that was on his mind. His mind was focused on his alias now. Falling into it. His thoughts turned to the Titans. "They had to notice this, right? I think a visit is in order for...soon." he said with a smile "First step will be done with that. Next step is getting famous and rich...the rich part might take a while though. I don't think being a Teen Titan pays much. Where are you going?" Was he suspicious? Yep. He wasn't even trying to hide it either. No reason to. He knew that for sure.
