Marleigh did not hear anything she did not already know. In fact, Bloodmoon's opinion of the gods' flaws was rather tame. In her eyes, they possessed the same flaws as most mortals. Either they were better at hiding it, or their version is much more extreme such that it is not easy to spot the similarities. She could tell Bloodmoon was speaking with some bias. It was either that, or his experience with gods was not as extensive as hers. Perhaps it was both.
"I can agree with some of that. But for me, the biggest difference gods have with mortals is that notions of morality and ethics did not usually apply to them. And if they did, it was only because that particular god allowed himself to be subject to them. You would be hard-pressed to try discussing good and evil with a god. As far as most of them are concerned, it is simply a perspective."
They finally arrived at her intended destination. Nodding her head, Marleigh thanked the man for his company.
"Well, here we are. I have business inside so I'm afraid we shall have to continue this next time. It was an enjoyable conversation. Allow me to treat you some time as thanks."
Mimicking the example of someone she had met earlier, she reached into her pocket and took out a business card. She handed this over to Bloodmoon.
"Feel to call me if you ever need anything. I would be glad to lend assistance to a fellow aid of the gods."
