| The Titans of Jump City; Robin, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg, & Starfire. They defended their city and even the entire human race, time and time again against their rogues. Then established the Titans internationally to defend from evil everywhere. The newly recruited Teen Titans combated evil all around the world and times were good globally. However, times like these could not last. A year passed after the destruction of the brotherhood of Evil and the Titans matured, but the ways of evil remained the same. One fateful day, the world was attacked, but not in the typical fashion and not the entire world...Just the heroes in it! They disappeared, one after the other. Inexplicably and without explanation. The act wasn't random though, nor was it targeted against meta-humans, aliens, magical beings. It targeted well known beings and people all around the globe, typically superheroes and supervillains alike too. The Titans themselves eventually disappeared as well, but they had known what was going to happen after the first few disappearances occurred. So they took precautions to make sure their Tower and everything that belong to them was safe and securely locked away. That's when they decided to get rid of their watchtower by tearing it down and evil saw it's opportunity. They seemingly destroyed their home to make sure nothing fell into the wrong hands, but in the process left the world without a symbol of hope and a figure that would make Villains cower in fear. The last few days were the hardest; Starfire was the first to disappear. Beast Boy and Raven not long after that. Cyborg was taken a little after, along with every other hero in the world. including the rest of the honorary Titans and their alumni. Finally, Robin too would disappear with a huge chunk of known villains too. Thus, leaving the world to a state of normality...Well somewhat. There were still natural disasters and such things as sea monsters and crime, but the world just had to start dealing with those threats by itself. Thus, multiple organizations rose up in the absence of the heroes. Fast Forward to present day. Peculiar things have been going on as of late. Many of the villains are beginning to return, but stranger, some would say even more evil and powerful. There have even been sightings of heroes too, but not your typical cape wearing and spandex donning champions. Teens. Yes, teenagers ranging from adolescence to young adults were starting to show up all around the globe and with extraordinary powers. Additionally, mythical beings and creatures from outer space/other dimensions were also on the rise. It is unknown if the appearance of these new beings or superhumans are a late side-effect of what people are dubbing "The Vanishing" or if these individuals have all just been laying low until now. Whatever the case may be, they are all feeling the call now to reveal themselves, not all are good either. The one thing that is clear, but unclear, is that the world will be changed by their arrival. For the better or for the worse, remains to be seen.... |
