The crippled girl (Ray's return. Open to all!)

3:00 am in central park. The only people there are late night druggies and thieves. The girl stumbled out in the park, blood crusting her hair, face, and body. Her left eye is clouded gray, it's blind. A wave of memories from torture flashed through her mind, The memories cause the rainbow haired girl to collapse in the park.

White lights flash in her face.beeping noises and masked people circle her yelling commands, She falls back into a coma. Ray wakes up to see a doctor with a bored, writing things down. "Good Morning Ray. How are you feeling?" Ray says nothing in the state of shock she's in. She looks around the pale room, realizing she's only seeing half of it at a time. She lifts her arm up to see a light blue cast, but something off. Her sight has been warped. "I see you're confused, We found you crippled in the park. Your left eye has been injured, in other words you have a few broken ribs, a broken arm, and your blind in your left eye." The doctor says checking off a few things on his clip board.

Ray begins to cry at the sound of this. "Can you tell us anything to help us know what happened to you?" Ray doesn't reply.

A nurse walks in and the doctor nods. "We are going to try to contact any friends or family of yours to help you remember anything important." At that, The doctor walks out of the room.

Hotwire had heard that Ray had been found. She had disappeared for a while... and he hadn't seen her in a while so he decided to pay her a visit. But he had been warned to be easy... she didn't seem to be in the best of conditions.

He walked into her room and looked at the girl on the bed. She didn't seem like that spunky girl who had always been so full of energy... not at all.

"Ray?"

Ray's eyes opened wide with fear as the red headed guy walked into the room. She remembered his face but couldn't put her finger on his name, she stared blankly at his face trying to piece it together with her one colorful eye. She was helpless.

After a good 3 minutes of awkward staring she gave off and looked up at the ceiling, too weak to speak. Right now she feels like there's nothing that could get her to be her old self, to be jumpy and unpredictable, to be fast and loyal, nothing to even get her out of this bed. What's the point n moving forward when you can't remember the life you used to live?

Hotwire sat down next to her bed and looked over at her. After losing Akow like that... he needed some good news.

"Can you talk?"

Ray mumbled a few words that sounded like "No time" and "No life" Her hair was brightly colored but it has a lack of it's vibrant glow. She didn't think life was worth it. "Geek." Ray mumbled without realizing she said it.

Well that was blunt...

"Geez ray... I'm only being nice."

Ray chuckled and try to sit up slowly, making the beeping monitor beep faster. "And I'm, Ray says between coughs, "Stating the truth." Ray said with a weak laugh. "I remember your name now." Ray said slowly. "You were the geek I met at the video game store." Ray added slowly putting her finger on her upper lip. "Hotwire." Ray said with a weak smile.

It clicked.

"Thats the one... wait... geek!" Hotwire complained.

Ray chuckled, pieces memories of the Titans and parts of her old life coming back. She didn't smile, but parts of her were feeling fulfilled once again. "Don't worry," Ray said between shaky chuckles "Ill be your geeky friend." Ray said with a large sigh after that. She looked at the ginger with wide eyes. "Can you tell me about the Titans?" Ray asked with innocence hoping to remember some of them.

"Thanks"

"Well... I actually don't know as much as you think. I was actually held captive for a year. I've missed a lot... but I'm coming back to terms with things." Hotwire said.

"Oh, What can you tell me about.... Well Me?" Ray asked regaining some of her confidence, She guessed Hotwire sucks a lot too right now.

"Ray turbo... teen titan. Powers include flight and rainbow projections. Top speed 95 mph."

He looked down to her.

"You play video games a lot."

"Wait, I'm a Teen Titan!!" Ray squealed in excitement, the beeping monitor sped up but quickly dropped.

Hotwire jumped a bit as the monitor sped up, but sat back down when it went back to normal.

"That you are. Just like me, Blackjack, and Ben."

He looked at her with a smile.

"Anything else?"

Ray sorted through her thoughts and realized she had so many questions, She didn't have the energy to ask them, nor Hotwire could answer them all. "So, If I'm a Teen Titan, When do I go back to the tower?" Ray asked with a slow and shaky voice once again. Her ribs ached, her leg ached, her arm ached, her head ached, she just ached all over!

Ray sat up and looked at Hotwire "I Hope I can get out of here soon and fly!" Ray said with excitement. She smiled for the first time in months.
