Mission to Mexico (Josh) T-Jet_01

Scope had been itching to take the T-Jet for a spin and, once the Titans got word for another exotic mission, he jumped at the chance! He didn't know Superboy too well yet, but, a good old fashioned, skull bashing mission to Mexico could prove to be a nice bonding experience. The trip was...shorter than Scope would have liked, but, the T-Jet really flew like a drew! Fast, gracefully and its cloaking capabilities didn't glitch once!

Scope landed the ship quietly in an open area surrounded by trees, just outside their target destination. As the ramp opened up for Superboy and Scope to make their way off and start moving towards the facility where the notorious Bane had been rumored to be testing new drugs, a wild grin spread across his face. This should be fun.

Walking down the ramp in his new black stealth suit, he positioned his special orange sunglasses securely and motioned for Superboy to take the lead with two fingers. He made sure to keep the jet in stealth mode as they got ready to enter the facility. Their first job would be to confirm the testing on illegal drugs, the second, to close the facility and ensure that the leaders would be brought to justice. If they ran into the notorious Bane along the way...then...they wouldn't really be responsible for any injuries they might cause...

Scope found a bush to hide behind as he spoke to Superboy. "Alright Connor. What's the plan?" he whispered.

Just ahead, they could see a large stone gray facility with huge walls, guards patrolling on top of the walls and on the floor levels. Barbed wire along the way up and indications of electric fencing along the way.

So this was Mexico, Superboy had never been here before so it was nice to get to see the place although it would've been nicer if they were under better circumstances. He'd much rather be here on a vacation or something but no, they were here to stop Bane shipping out his drugs. Superboy had made sure to read up on this universe's Bane before coming and it turns out this Bane was more dangerous than the one he had already met. The one he met was relativley unknown but this one had broken Batman's back, so they had to be careful.

As Superboy got out of the plane he would blink and go into thermal vision. There seemed to be about 6 guards patrolling the top of the walls and 4 guarding the exit, who knows how many there'll be inside. With another quick blink he was back to regular vision and turned to Scope. "Ok, there's 10 guards all together. 6 on the wall, 4 on the ground. Now we can either take them out and make our way in, but risk someone noticing they're down or we can sneak past them and risk getting caught. I'm all for breaking heads but we need to agree."

Superboy had to keep in mind that he was on this mission with someone with no powers. He couldn't exactly go running into a fire fight and leave Scope to fend for himself, he was sure that Scope could handle himself but he wasn't sure if Scope had the same type of training Robin had been through to help him avoid gunfire.

Nodding as he heard their odds, he decided that he wanted to show off his skills a little bit. Sure, he wasn't a clone of a super powered alien with about fifty powers but, he could still pull his own weight. "I vote breaking heads," he said with a smile. "I'll take to the skies and take out the guards on the wall and you can take out the guards on the ground. If there's no one to notice they're down, there's no risk, right?" He finished with a smirk.

He unlatched his hoverboard from his back and threw it on the ground, it levitating with a low, quiet hum. "Quick and quiet right? I'll give the signal when I'm good on my end."

He put both feet on his board, straightened his glasses and pulled up his hood. He put his hand on Connor's shoulder and gave a quick nod before he zoomed off. Quickly and quietly, he zoomed high into the night sky and out of sight. A second later, he was on the wall, holding his hoverboard in his right hand. He crouched, peering down both ways on the wall. It seemed that most were to his left so he decided to eliminate the few on his right before engaging the large majority of the guards.

He squinted, noticing that the guards had no head gear to protect their pressure points on their necks. He took a deep breath before jumping back on his board and speeding towards the two guards standing back to back. In a second, he knocked one guards head harshly on the stone wall and swung the board around to knock the other in the back of his head. Both of them knocked out cold. The more he could knock out rather than kill, the better he'd feel.

He checked one of the guard's guns and found that he had a round of tranquilizers inside. It made sense because of the wild animals that were probably in the forest were more common obstacles than the Titans. "Awesome..." he whispered as he grabbed the rifle. 10 shots...and he only had four more targets.

He looked down the wall as one guard began walking over to where he just struck the two guards, apparently noticing their gasps as they were knocked out. Scope took a knee and shot four times. Each dart landed perfectly in the back of each guard's neck. Exactly the same position too. It was easier because the guards weren't really mobile, just calmly pacing.

Scope looked over the edge of the wall over to where he assumed Superboy would be finished with his end of things. He took out the laser pointer he brought and flashed it where he thought he could see the Kryptonian.

"Who said anything aboout doing this quietly?" But before Superboy could get an answer Scope had already made his way over to the wall, I suppose that means Superboy should do this quietly as well, he wasn't exactly the best at doing things sneakily but he can't risk Scope getting caught in the middle of a fire fight. So four guards on the ground, not too hard. There was two entrances into the compound with two guards on each door, shouldn't be too hard right?

Superboy would then take off and hop up onto the side of the wall, using his flight to help keep him close to the wall he would then lower himself down behind the two guards covering one of the doors and he would then grab one of the guards by the ankles and use him like a baseball bat to hit the other guard who let out a moan as he got hit which the other guards heard but weren't sure what it was. "So much for the quiet way in." As the other guards came over to check out what was going on Superboy quickly launched himself up into the air to avoid their sight. As they came over Superboy would drop down on top of one of them and knock him out but the other one noticed him in time and fired off a few rounds, but there were only tranquilizer darts in the gun which just bounced off Superboy's chest. He would then extend his hand forward and let out a Tactile Telekinesis blast at the guard which sent him flying back through a few trees.

"Well that was pretty easy." Superboy then looked up to see Scope with a laser pointer. He would then fly up to Scope who was leaning over the edge. "I'm guessing you're done with your set?"

With a leap and bound, Superboy met him immediately after signaled. As an answer to his partner, Scope simply looked around at the incapacitated bodies on the ground. "You didn't do too bad yourself." He answered with a half smile, looking down at Superboy's own pile of security guards.

He felt like he proved something to Conner by taking on the guards head on. Although he couldn't exactly dominate many adversaries head on, he could still take on some foes that maybe even Superboy couldn't, just because he had a different set of skills.

Scope turned to look at the inner complex. There were various red coblestone buildings in the complex that made a sort of small village with brick roads lining paths between each other. The roads were very narrow and, with the sun down, it was very dark when there weren't windows lighting the corners. There were a few guards, seemingly equipped with more fire power patrolling around with a flashlight in one hand and a gun in the other. The sidewalks were loud enough to hear each guard walking because of their steel-toed boots, but, their black outfits made them hard to see, should they turn their lights off.

Looking deeper into the village, Scope pointed towards a slightly larger building towards the center that had a glass dome ceiling. "It looks like that's the center of the industry. If we destroy the manufacturing center or their equipment, it could slow down their business for months and even end it indefinitely if we handle it right." He paused for a moment. "I imagine that's where Bane will be, too."

That last thought slightly surprised Scope. He had always been pretty reserved and tried to protect himself in fights, rather than pushing his limits, but, after being on the team for such a long time he's found himself wanting to see what he could handle. Part of him wanted to face the man that broke the back. Part of him wanted to see how he measured up with the big boys.

"So, what did you wanna do, Conner?"

What did Superboy want to do? What does he ever want to do? "We break in there and we cripple him. Financially by destroying this complex and his drugs then if we've got time cripple him physically." There was doubt in Superboy's mind that they needed to destroy the labs to take out Bane for a long time, he knew they couldn't stop him all together but this was the best way to stop his shipments. Looking in at the complex Superboy would switch to thermal vision, it was needed with the lack of light in the environment.

He would see quite a high number of guards, there was no way that they would be getting into the center undetected. Superboy knew that he would have no trouble getting inside but he wasn't alone now, he knew that he had to keep an eye on Scope this time as well, he was actually starting to grow fond of this guy. He knew that he had to make sure that Scope didn't get shot. With all the guards that were between them and Bane he knew that there was bound to be a fire fight. Conner would turn back to Scope. "So you're meant to be the strategist, find us a strategy to get in there without this turning into an all out war."

Squinting, Riley skimmed the area as Superboy did. "Hm...well it looks like we could divert attention rather than take on the entire army to be most efficient so that we could go straight for the heart. Quick and easy, right? Don't need to make it any harder than it needs to..."

With a large step onto the stone railing of the wall, he crouched and skimmed with his zoomed in vision for any opportunities. It was definitely way too many to take down head on. Sure Superboy could handle himself, but, they couldn't risk the fight and be slowed, giving Bane time to escape, or maybe bringing out something Superboy couldn't handle.

After a moment of frustration, a solution found its way into Scope's vision! A small lever, easily unnoticed by most if they'd skim quickly, under the door of the main facility had wires that led to every door to the main gates of the facility. "I got it! Conner, could you find a way to draw the guards outside of the facility? Maybe cause a distraction? Then, I think I found a way to lock them out. If Bane had no back up...he'd be much more vulnerable, too."

Superboy would then adjust his gloves before cracking his knuckles. "One distraction coming up." Superboy would then hop down from the position that he and Scope were in to create a distraction, but what would be a good distraction? What's better than a good old fashioned call out, it would get all the guards in the yard out but all the ones inside wouldn't be able to hear so it seemed like a good plan. Placing his two index fingers in his mouth Superboy would let out a loud whistle, alerting the remaining guards to the fact there was someone around.

"Come on ya chickens, you afraid or something?" Superboy was standing outside the facilities main gates, he was just waiting for the guards from the yard to come out, he knew all he had to do was to wait there for Scope to do his job then he could make his way back in. When the guards came outside they opened fire on Superboy as soon as they saw the "S" symbol on his chest. He would drop down to one knee and cover his face with his forearms, he was just going to sit out the gunfire until Scope finished his part and hits the lever.
