| A lone figure stood on a hill on the edge of the woods, looking at Jump City below. It was Hades, sorcerer. The time had almost come for Mr. Pacific to bring his answer. If he did not do as Hades had commanded, then Jump City would burn in Hades’ rage.
“Hades.”
The sorcerer turned around. Mr. Pacific and the rest of the Night Hawks were standing at a distance, and they looked ready for a fight.
“I never accepted the terms of your deal. Now here is my deal: you leave Jump City forever or we’ll destroy you.”
Hades laughed at the pathetic man. “Do you really think you can beat me?”
“No,” said Pacific. “That’s why I brought them.”
Behind Hades, two groups would appear: the HIVE, and the Teen Titans. They were enemies, but they had made a momentary pact to fight a common threat and save the city they both lived in. With three teams versus this one man, it was now an even fight.
Hades growled in anger and quickly cast two magic spells. He summoned an army of undead warriors to fight the Titans, and he summoned an army of earth golems to battle the HIVE. He himself would fight the Night Hawks.

| Synthosis slowly came down from the shadows, floating. She had her hands out ready for a fight. " Mr. Pacific, are we really fight Hades!" Synthosis said in almost shock that she came. She is new to the Night Hawks and man this was crazy. Synthosis's cape whirled around in the wind, her long silver hair along with it blew around. She couldn't believe she was going to face the God of the under world.
" So.. Mr. Pacific... Do we even have a plan?" Synthosis said getting nervice.

| Mark floated next to Moons side. As always he took Mr. Pacifics word and strategy as an absolute measure of success. He believed and was hopeful they could defeat this being. In actuality Teen Lantern was embarrassed; being Blue Lantern he was much weaker than most others and could not destroy entire battle ships or curve solar flares, but when in a team he did have one notable advantage. "Store your fear Moon, the day will be ours. Let your own will fill your hearts and I will fan your flames. We are the Nighthawks and as that remains fact and we fight for what's right, hope will always burn bright!" That being said TL's eye would begin to glow blue and in doing so innately he began using his ability to strengthen will and purge fear and doubt from his comrades hearts. Not to say they Wernt cautious about fighting Hades, but they definitely wouldn't fear him. "Ready Pacific." Lantern flew forward to his leaders left flank ready to defend or make an offensive based on what he said next since Pacific had no powers Mark was his sword. | |

| Synthosis looked at Teen Lantern as he appeared by Synthosis's side. " This is going to be interesting!" Synthosis shouted over to Mr. Pacific. She didn't know if she should attack now or wait for people so instead she just turned invisible. She threw her hood over her head to make it happen. She looked around to see if the others would arrive. This was a big fight for the Night hawks.

| Leaning heavily on his staff, Hades returned his scathing glare to the Nighthawks. Behind him stone behemoths and undead auxiliaries descended upon the flanking enemy. Mr Pacific had proven insolent, offering betrayal in place of grateful compliance. Hades had spared Bloodmoon. This uncharacteristic kindness was assuredly worth that formidable ring and a substitute soul. Yet these mortals tried to defy him. Fine - their homes would burn. Jump City would house only shades in future.
"Did you forget to invite someone?" Despite the multifarious sounds of summoning going on around, Hades' voice remained unmuffled. Rather it cut through the cacophony of noise and addressed the Nighthawks directly. Bitter and sneering, "He's left you with his messes, hasn't he? Bloodmoon will see his thread cut, come what may. The coward will run and hide, but you cannot escape Ananke." They were destined to fight, or more specifically, he was destined to triumph over the wolf. This current state of affairs was merely inconvenient. Hades was already thinking passed it, to when he would be tracking down Bloodmoon again, before the lad could settle, before he could round up another batch of fools such as these.
"You there!" A bony finger quivered in the direction of Teen Lantern, "Forget middle men who twist and scheme to suit their own. I make my deal with you." His weight shifted suddenly, almost looking as if Hades would tumble. The staff acted as a walking cane and steadied the mage as he made his labourous steps towards the group with an outstretched palm, "Surrender your soul, the ring too, so that these friends of yours may yet live. They have a virtual eternity ahead of them. I need not putrify their flesh this day."
Of course Hades wasn't going to spare Mr Pacific and his band of interlopers. That deal had already gone south. But if he could trick the Lantern into going ahead on a bargain that had already been broken, then that would mean one less hand to help them. You didn't get to be this old without receiving a tenacity for cunningness. A pity those so youthful should choose to fight him. They had many more years to lose.
"Your answer?" | |

| Bloodmoon's disappearance had stung Mr. Pacific. The two had never seen eye-to-eye, but Pacific hadn't expected Shawn to just leave. Still, he would not allow Hades to stand here and threaten his old ally.
Now the sorcerer was attempting to make a deal with Mark? That was going way too far.
"Sorry, Hades. But I won't allow you to try to make deals with my teammates. They are my sword. They are my shield. And I will use them to destroy you!"
With that, Pacific pulled a canister from his belt. It wasn't his typical Mace spray. Instead, it was filled with flame-retardant gas. Pacific twisted the top of the canister and dropped it at his feet. The gas spread out around the Night Hawks in a white fog, coating their clothing and making them slightly flame resistant. Sorcerers used fire in every movie Pacific had seen, so he was certain Hades would be throwing fireballs in a few seconds.
"I do have a plan, Moon. I need you all to give me your best. Hawks, hit him with everything you have!" |

| Haruhi stood with by her team not taking her eyes off of Hades and standing in her fighting position. Moon asked if there was a plan, Haruhi just knew that it was to defeat Hades at all costs and save their city once again. As the Hive and the titans would fight the golems and undead warriors, the Night Hawks would go after the head honcho.
Haruhi was ready for this. She wouldn't let any thoughts of doubt or fear creep into her mind. She kept her focus and waited for Mr. Pacific's signal to attack. Haruhi could see her team have the same fighting spirit in them that she had, which made her feel even more secure on this victory. Having the Teen Titans and also the Hive on their side was also a huge boost.
Mr. Pacific threw down a canister that covered them in a fog. Haruhi smiled and nodded at Moon and Mr. Pacific when he said to give it their best, then the time to attack came.

| The defiant words of a hero caused Hades to pause in his approaching gait. Too much pride for their own good. They would never choose good sense as long as Mr Pacific was around. So be it. Lines of fury creased the mage's brow as his teeth gnashed together. He was almost a god in his eyes. To speak of destroying him was the worst of blasphemies.
Self-restraint was quickly exhausted and Hades screamed his last words at the young hero, “May they dub you Koalemos!” A cloud rose up around the Nighthawks, obscuring their obstinate forms. The possessor of souls rose his staff sky high and cried out an insensible challenge. The staff crackled with dark energies, alive with forbidden magic, before launching a bolt of hellfire at the group.
The attack tunnelled it's way forwards, entrenching the ground behind, before exploding in full force when near its target. The ground along that charge was thoroughly alight. It burned with the tenacity of a full-blown wildfire. A towering inferno that was set to engulf the Nighthawk's position entirely.

| Mark had momentarily considered Hades offer, solely as a last resort, but mulled it over none the less. His soul for that of his entire teams? The ring, which he severely doubted Hades could use for the lives of Jump City residents?! Definately no contest, but Pacific spoke up in his place and vowed that he would destroy Hades. This strengthened Teen Lanterns resolve and hope to feel Pacifics power of will at such a peak volume and boy did they need it.
The Nighthawks words had ignited Hades fury, Marks powerring reported it to him and then the attack came under the cover of a haze. They couldn't see, but they could hear the attack coming. Mark had almost no time to react and formed an extremely large dome around him and his teammates that not only covered the top of them but went under their feet as well like an egg in shape. The blue construct then protected them from the monstrous wave and as the flames licked at the dome it began to levitate off the ground. Teen Lantern mentally lifted it while pointing his ring hand straight out, however, not without difficulty. Hades was indeed very powerful, that attack had nearly drained his powercells to 66% and he could only imagine if TL had been alone if his shield would've even held. Afterwards the Blue Lantern opened up the shield while still levitating on a now transformed blue platform allowing for everyone to attack from above. He himself could not attack and support so many others, but he hoped the other Nighthawks would make a move quickly before Hades attacked again. "That...was a close one."

| Hades yelled and a cloud surrounded the Night Hawks. Pacific knew that something bad was coming, but that was why Mark was here.
With a blue shield around the team, Mark blocked Hades' fire from harming the team.
"Mark, keep him busy. Alley Cat, get in close. Moon, steal that staff of his."
Pacific himself would run towards Hades as fast as he could. He threw two tennis balls at the location he had last seen Hades' standing. As soon as he got out of the smoke cloud, he would throw a third tennis ball at the sorcerer. Unlike the previous two, this projectile was actually a solid steel ball with a tennis ball skin. Pacific was hoping that Hades' pride would get the better of him. Having seen the first two as normal tennis balls, the villain would realize that the 'weapons' posed no threat to him. He would then, Pacific hoped, stand firm and let the third tennis ball hit him in the chest to show his superiority. That seemed like what Hades would do, but Pacific could only assume so much about immortal, evil monsters. If this worked, it could break a few of Hades' bones. |

| Hades attack came swirling and at large towards the night hawks, but thanks to Mark's reaction and powers he was able to shield them and then levitate them out of the way. The shield opened up once they were in the air. Haruhi agreed with Mark, this had been a close one.
Mr. Pacific then came in with another plan of action. So Haruhi was to come in close. She nodded at the command and jumped off the shield and made her stealthy way towards hades.

| Decimated. There was no way anything short of a salamander had survived that little taste of the Phlegethon. All that was left was for Hades to divide the flames and prise out their screaming shades. A footstep was taken. From the flames erupted a blue sphere. Hades cursed something in Greek. They were persistent mortals.
A projectile was thrown, and at odds to his previous hobbling, a deft swing from Hades' staff knocked the tennis ball sideways. What was this? A distraction? Feeble at best. Several bodies had descended into the shroud. He first turned his wrath upon the minion of Ailuros that was somewhere to his right. His staff sparked energy again as she fell within its range. A blast of lightning was fired, his other hand catching the second tennis ball. Its weight was less than expected, and Hades re-centred his attentions on Pacific who had emerged.
Once more igniting with hellfire, he ducked his staff to see above its blinding flames. A target lined up but Hades was abruptly winded. The last projectile had him suddenly wheezing, and the hellfire spread wide in an erratic arc. The mage was at a loss to explain what had happened, and he coughed like a plague victim onto the grass at his feet.

| Alpha stood on the platform next to Mark. He had an idea, something that would further weaken Hades before Haruhi struck. He took his rounded shield from his back. "Mark, I need you to throw me. Straight at Hades. He needs to be weakened more before Haruhi gets behind him," said Alpha, and he waited for the Lantern's answer. And he had better be quick, because Hades wouldn't stay down for long. | |

| OOC: Teen Lantern won't be finishing this fight. As moderator, I will explain his actions so that this thread can continue.
BIC: Everyone was yelling at Mark to do different things. Attack Hades, be a distraction, defend the team, and even throw Alpha at the enemy. Obviously, he couldn't do all of those things, but once lightening started flying around, the decision was made.
Mark made a shield to block all the lightening that Hades was shooting out. Unfortunately, one arc of electricity hit him in the back, knocking him down to the ground. He hit his head on a rock. Teen Lantern wasn't dead, just unconscious.
Meanwhile, Pacific was glad his tennis ball attack had worked. They really had a chance to beat this guy! Pulling out his nun-chucks, Pacific spun the weapons around and aimed a crushing blow to Hades' head. |
