Electric boy meets hot...er...fire girl

Ravian sat on a bench in the mall, clearly not amused in any sense of the word. He had wandered around the mall for......who knows, he lost track after the first half hour. He didn't know how other kids did it. How could they stand to walk around here just looking at stuff.

He was more of a....buying things for free kind of person and buying for free means stealing or if you prefer "liberating" or maybe even "gifting". Either way, he liked having thugs and not seeing what he can't have. The latter of which he found tortuous.

He put his face in his hands, groaning and, admittedly, talking to himself. "This place sucks!" okay, admittedly talking to himself...loudly, very loudly. He realized how loud he was being but by that time....well there was nothing he could do about it now.

Though he continued to leave his face in his hands though, not wanting to see what kind of looks he was getting from people. Just because he couldn't do anything about didn't mean it wasn't embarrassing. "I must look like an idiot" he muttered.

He sat there for a few moments. Almost ready to look up though he still didn't think everyone had looked away from his little tantrum. But just as he opened his ryes some girl had to say it "I don't think you look like and idiot, more like a dork actually" truthfully that didn't boost his confidence at all, in fact it made him much more self conscious. He had known that he looked stupid. Foolish. Down right crazy. But for someone to toning of their way to comment on him? He must've looked crazier than he thought he had. He had been hoping, against all of reality, everyone would ignore the kid sitting on a bench in the mall alone...no such luck.

Though he found it odd that she was behind him. Usually when making fun of someone it wad normal to do it to their face or at least to their side. He was about to try and get a look at her when ue felt her head touch his......that was odd. He peeked through his fingers and saw that she also had dreads. Then she sat back up. He stayed as he was for a moment not sure about what he thought about what had happened....or what had just happened in general.

He finnally sat up, turned, and looked at her. It only took a second for him to figure out that he didn't know her at all. Seeing as he. Didn't know any mummies. She was...odd....sitting there humming. He simply stared at her for a moment. Then walked about so he was directly in front of her....he definately didn't know her in the slightest. He would've remembered some one like......this.

Though he had to admit if he had to admit, if he had to meet a girl today, this was definately the girl to meet. She was...interesting...somethings to take away from the boring maligner surrounded him. "So....who the heck are you?" he said Ina friendly.....though still very confused tone.

"And is there really a difference between a dork and an idiot?" he added.

Libbey Santiago. "Nice to meet you too" he said skeptically mostly because he still wasn't sure that meeting her was a good thing, as far as he knew she was a murderer. That was worst case of course but, as he had stated before, she was definitely.....off, at least she cute. In a...military way. which once he though that he realized was almost an oxymoron. since when were things in the military cute? No one in history had walked around a corner and said "Oh what a cute group of soldiers", in fact it was usually more like "We Got Hostiles!!!" but he was off topic now.

The point was that he barely knew her, not that he didn't want to. He just...was still unsure about her. Which in itself bothered him as he was usually pretty good at generalizing people. But he had never seen someone looking so....mismatched. Her happy face, military clothes and finally her odd behavior were not a common thing to come upon. In fact her personality alone usually never came with any other aspect of her. Usually it was more of a ditsy blonde suburban girl kind of personality.

But She seemed in perfect realization of what she was doing and didn't have that airy voice that came along with the ditziness of your typical blonde. Her voice was more.....aware. That was the only word for it. Though it still didn't really fit in his opinion. "Well you know, you look socially inept, instead of you know, estúpido. So yeah," not to mention her knowledge of Spanish.....and correctly using the word "inept". She definitely wasn't....completely ignorant of the world around her. Though in his opinion she was the one with some social problems, starting with personal space.

The second would be....to be determined. But her stretching sure was distracting. Though he was used to the cracking of joints. He did it all the time, but others....not so much. As she rose her legs, he rose a single eyebrow, wondering what the heck she was doing. She had already proven how flexible she was "What are yo-" he said just as she jumped up

He caught his breath as she, so very....very suddenly, appeared just in front of him. He stood there for a moment, simply stunned. Not sure what was going on. He felt his face become hotter and then, realizing something was pushing him, looked down.

"Ah.....her breasts....right" he thought. Before his balanced shifted on his heels and he quite literally stumbled backwards, almost falling before grabbing a nearby table and pushing himself completely upright. The table didn't have such luck and tipped to the side as he steadied himself, causing it to fall with a loud clatter. He quickly stooped down and picked it up and hurriedly steadied it. His face felt very hot at this point, as he quickly tried to calm down.

In all ways, he had just looked like the biggest idio-...actually, biggest dork....well....ever. He hurriedly returned his face to a calmer expression, since during this ordeal it had displayed a sense of pure panic. now the look was more of a "nothing happened, you didn't see anything" sort of vibe to it.

"A-anyways...my name is Ravian" he said, thankful, that in all this bad luck his voice hadn't cracked. That would be....whatever the opposite of icing on the cake was...maybe...a good comparison would be...a bird crapping on your head after you found your house robbed.

((sorry this took so long, finals are coming up.....oh and interesting note on his name. I made it up. Then years later I found out it was an actual name.....I felt....less creative T_T....my name was stolen from me by India and northern africa/middle east))

His mind was still more than slightly caught on the massively embarrassing blunder he had just made with the table and the near falling and the stumbling and everything in general. He honestly wasn't expecting for he to talk to him again after that. Even so a small smile appeared on his lips. He bet he had looked pretty funny from any other point of view than his.

But the smile faded rather quickly as he stopped thinking about that and thought more of who this girl was, he breifly wondered if she was a meta human like him. Though even if she was he probably would never find out even if she was. It wasn't somethig that usually came up in a conversation. Or in life in general, he didn't think there was much a chance on him walking about town and running into her.....using some super power. If he didn't actually pursue it he probably would never meet her again.

He still wasn't sure if that would be good or bad. She seemed to have a knack for freaking him out and embarrassing him. Though she seemed friendly enough, she seemed pretty oblivious that she even did anything odd in the first place. Or done anything that embarrassed him, freaked him out, or made him confused.

"What is it that you do around here, besides well" he blushed the tiniest bit more and looked away from her. Well she definately had more than a knack for embarrassing him, it was notebooks an advanced talent. Nuer bribing up his stupidity and clumsiness was....well really it was just her pointing out the obvious. Though most people wouldn't bring it up. In fact most people might steer the conversation away from that.

But she wasn't normal. She was funny......a mix of both "haha" funny and "weird" funny. She couldn't be standardized, which still bothered him. He enjoyed it when people were a bit predictable, it led to a feeling of comfort but with this girl he was just......unbalanced.

Then she asked about food. He was feeling a but hungry, weird embarrassment usually made him lose his appetite. But he really wanted some food now. "A burger sounds absolutely great." he said enthusiastically, glad for the change of subject to....well... anything that wasn't him.

Then his eyes drifted down as he noticed her....squeezing. He barely noticed he wasn't looking at he face anymore. But after a full two or three moments he realized what he was doing and quickly looked away, as fast as he could really. He even opened his mouth to say sorry to her but then stopped, not sure if he should "Uh...um....er, so yeah. Hamburgers?" he said distractedly, keeping his eyes far away from her.....well you get the idea.

He looked where she pointed.A jack in the box, interesting choice. But he could survive. It honestly wasn't his first choice. He had never gone ther, when looking for a fast food burger he usually just defaulted to the standard mickey d's. The golden arches had never let him down singe was to reason to stop eating there or try anywhere else. Especially dice the fries were always the best.

So she went to school too, probably the same one as him. He would have to keep an eye out for her next time he was in the halls. It was likely that they had walked right by each other in at one point. "Where do you work" he said slightly interested. He could use a job himself. Stealing things got tiring fast, but what really caught his ear was that she fought for fun...and profit.

He could use that, he bet he could kick some butt and for money? It would be like taking can't from a baby. A nonmetahuman helpless full grown baby. By putting a little shock into his punches he mused that he could take someone twice his size easily. Sounded nice, a few bruises in exchange for money? "yeah I fight, pretty often really, you'd be surprised how much trouble I get in" he said. It was the truth. He got in trouble weekly at the least.

He looked over the menu,not sure what there was to have and quickly decided to put his trust in his new friend's taste and judgement. "I'll have what she's having, but with a chocolate shake" he hoped she had good taste "and I'll pay for myself, but thanks for the offer" he added on, a bit to prideful to let the person he had just met pay for his food. At least he wasn't embarrassing himself now.

This time Ravian, tensed slightly, all too aware of all of the people looking at them, staring. She was like a attention magnet while he was more of a "under the radar person" though go be honest it was the opposite of his real personality. But he didn't want to draw attention to himself, as a criminal he had to...it was a nessecity of his life style which wasn't the most, er honorable? Though that wasn't what he as looking for. Maybe stable was a better word.

As she looked over him he stopped, wondering what she was doing. He subconsciously stood straighter and tried to avoid eye contact. Her blue eyes felt so, well, he could just feel them as the went over him. Then he saw as she shook her head, h looked confused at first but then as she mother no he understood and smiled, nearly laughing. He was just a bit to full of himself too take that seriously. "No? No what?" he said. It was ironic to him, he didn't know how strong she was, but he knew himself and was quite confident that he could take any normal human that tried to oppose him.

That included Libbey of course. Having no way of knowing that she had any powers, he just knew he was in good shape and so was she, really, really good shape. ""Stop gawking and start eating. I know I'm hot, but that doesn't give you an excuse to let your food get cold." he quickly averted his eyes from off her, he hadn't even noticed himself ad he checked her out. He attempted to out her off a bit by putting on a smug smile but it had traces of being uncertainty.

He quickly sat down and polls one of his fries into his mouth "don't even try it." he said with a smile, starting to feel a bit more confident with the situation. Having a few seconds to recover himself helped. He took a bite into his burger before looking back at her and swallowing "So what was so...."no" about me?" he asked, so maybe it was eating at him a little...or alot.

[justify]Libbey took a generous bite of the beefy sandwich, chewing a prerequisite twenty five times before swallowing the mashed up lump of bread, meat, pickles, tomato and bourbon bbq sauce. Now she was looking straight at Ravian, a look of deadpan seriousness on her face as she took a sip of her smoothie and sighed. "No as in, I just don't see you being a capable fighter. Sorry to say, but you lack a certain integrity most fighters usually possess," stuffing an onion ring into her mouth, Libbey chewed on it a few times, swallowed then looked around the food court, her blue eyes scanning the crowd for what? Libbey didn't know, but it felt natural to her, to scan the groups of people and memorize faces (which was always useful later on).

But as she came back around to Ravian, her lips were curled up into a smile that managed to look every bit as impish as she did. "Try what? This?" As soon as she said those three magical little words, she snaked her feet out, hooking them up against the underside of his chair as she lifted him off the ground with almost no visible effort at all. "I mean, maybe you didn't think I'd try this, I mean I'm not that obvious. Anyways, what was it that you thought I was gonna really try anyways?" shooting him an accusatory stare, she suddenly let him and his chair hit the ground with a bump, before giggling up a small storm that seemed totally inappropriate, but strangely in tune with her shifting of personality types.

As the tittering settled down, she took another casual bite of the hamburger sitting before her, the tangy bourbon sauce, the succulent pickles, the juicy meat. It all appealed to her tastes as she watched him eat some fries with mild interest. As she swallowed the lump of chewed beef, Libbey opened her mouth and asked one very specific question. "You ever been in a cage fight?"

Lacking integrity? Wow she sure hit the nail on the head, he was surprised she could read people so well. Then again when wasn't she surprising? This whole encounter had been a list of unexpected things happening one after another. But that didn't seem like it was gonna end any time soon. As she lifted his chair Ravian's hands dropped his burger onto his tray as he grabbed the sides of his chair tightly. His eyes widened as he looked at her. He had no idea how she could do that. She was that strong?!

He stared at her intensely, he went over her muscles with renewed suspicion. Did she have super strength or something? Maybe but she was, as he already thought, really, really toned and in shape. She really was, err, pretty. As she let him down he saw the lack of effort or strain in her face. "You, how did-..." he started, not expecting an answer.

He instead stopped himself and looked at her " I thought you were gonna take my fries, you know, like you said." he said, just a bit annoyed. No she wasn't obvious, she was a bit crazy, but not obvious. As he next question was evidence of. Had whenever been in a cage fight? Of course not!!

"Cage fight? No, I'm more of a "fight outside" type of person. But maybe I'll try it some time. Not sure where to get in one though. Guessing you know where though. Mind telling me" he said. She had brought it up after all, henwas a bit curious now. "I'm guessing you have" he said half jokingly half serious. He wasn't sure what to expect from her now.
