Recovery [Scarlet]

Betelgeuse flew through the roof of his penthouse apartment. One good thing of having deceased rich parents, you could buy somewhere out of sight where you wouldn't be bothered. Hence why Bertrum Julius, the owner of said apartment flats could easily fly in and out. Of course, usually he didn't have anyone with him, unlike thsi time, where he craddled Scarlet in his arms

Cursing loudly, knowing they were the only two in the entire apartment, Betelgeuse headed straight for the bedroom and softly lay Scarlet on the bed, before taking the first aid kit out from the bed-side table. He'd made up some crappy excuse about him having a weak immune system to explain his pale skin to the cleaners who showed up once every two weeks. He personally didn't need the damn thing, but it was a good thing he'd put it there. "What the hell happened out there, babe? How the hell did you get blasted off the damn roof?" he asked as he expertly cleaned and bandaged the visible wounds he could see on her

Betelgeuse raised an eyebrow. While he wasn't exactly phased by Scarlet cutting herself, he knew better then the let her bleed on the sheets, as it would be annoying as all hell to explain to the cleaners when they came for his sheets. Also, the wall would probably have to be hidden or something. He could have sword he had some spare wall-paper somewhere. He reached into the bedside table and pulled out a notepad and pen before placing the items infront of Scarlet before taking the knife out of her hand and threw it carelessly over his shoulder, not caring that said knife was now imbedded in the forehead of the deer head on the wall.

He blinked when he spotted the tears on her face though, an unfamiliar feeling arising from him, confusing the undead spirit as he looked at the girl he loved. Wait, LOVED?! He was an insane, undead, malicious, heartless murdering spectre. Where the hell did the emotion of LOVE fit into this of all things. He'd have to do something about it later, for now there were more pressing matters. He gently reached up and brushed the tears from her face "Hey, calm down, tears don't suit such a cute murderous beauty" Betelgeuse said as comforting as he possibly could be, putting his cold palm softly on her cheek and kissed her on the lips. Inside he was in a mental turmoil of sorts. He was cold, cruel, he only cared about himself, so why did he feel so compelled to watch over this mortal? This was so damn confusing!

Reaching for a cotton swab Scar pressed it against her wound and tried to blink away the tears angrily before he spoke and was surprised by his tenderness. Something she had never really expirienced. Ever.
Kissing him back the feelings of weakness returned. Well. She felt...loved...and it made her feel..similar...which was weakness, right?

Acting on instinct Scar wrapped her arms around her companion and buried her face against his shoulder and neck.
No idea what she was doing. But what the heck, why not? Pulling back she ignored the wetness in her eyesand accepted the pen and paper,
"we were killing each other and lost control over our powers, our powers started mixing us. I have-" she forced herself to go on, "I have a part of her. She has a part of mw." she laid back on rhe bed and after giving up making sense of what she felt, she pulled BJ next to her.
"Thank you." she wrote not meeting his eyes, afraid rhe possible...feelings...in her eyes could scare hum off. And anyway, she was an insane, homicidal villian. She shouldn't feel that. She shouldn't feel anything, because- ...because she wasn't worth it.

There. She'd thought it. Done. The confident psychopath was an act. She waspsychotic, yes. And she drew confidence from the power she held. But now? What noww?
Nothing.
Scar let her eyes flutter closed. She needed sleep. So sge rested her head on his shoulder and hoped, dare she say that word(?) that he'd stay with her.
(next morning)
scar felt a bit better. Stronger. Now to fully awaken andfind out if he'd thought her worthy of staying...

Betelgeuse was floating in the air above her, arms folded, seeming to be lying on the ceiling, his face a mask of deep thought. He had spent the entire night watching over her while she slept. He'd been at war with himself mentally, trying to figure out his exact feelings. He had completely seperated his personality intwo two seperate parts, the cool, calm, reserved, polite part he showed whenever in his human disguise and the cruel, heartless murderous part he showed whenever he could. So suddenly having something that the dark part wanted to protect and the calm part would kill for pretty much threw a monkey wrench into the inner workings of his mind.

He broke from his mental problems when he saw Scarlet was stirring and floated down so he was about three feet infront of her. "Hey, you alright, babe?" he asked, his voice lacking the tone of insanity and murder, instead there was one of....caring in it's place. He was actually worried about her. Wow, this was new, even to Betelgeuse. He hadn't card about anything but himself since melding with the first Betelgeuse

When Scarlet woke up the first thing she saw was BJ's face. And hearing his caring voice just confused her completely.
Why was he being nice? Was it because they screwed? Because she was just as insane as he was?
Damaged goods. Worthless...

the words ghosted through her mind, catching her by surprise. But what surprised her more was the degree of pain that accompanied them.
She'd always forbidden such thoughts. Now they were inevitable.
Then, suddenly, she realized what it was.
Julie...
Those were Julies thoughts...no..yes..and her own...blended... Jesus...
The part of Julie she now had was trying to change her.
But it takes two to tango. And Scarlet didn't want to dance.
She just wanted things to stay the way they were, because honestly, she was afraid of the outcome.
But... Those weren't good thoughts now. Still had to answer his question.
Fumbling for the pen and paper Scar bit her lip and wrote.

"Honestly? I feel like I got run over."

Her lips parted in a mute groan as she sat up, her head throbbing.

"I need to find out when and how I can get my powers back" she wrote, her blue eye flashed slightly as she added, "Im nothing without them."
where did that come from? She couldn't believe she'd just admitted that, to BJ!
But who was she kidding? The knives, daggers, swords.. Were nothing compared to the power that she had when in possesiom of her special skills.

BJ chuckled when Scarlet mentioned the feeeling of being run over. Hell, he knew that feeling literally. He'd once been possessing someone who tripped into a busy road. It may have been a sweet sight, but it hurt like a motherhumper when he was forced from the body. When Scarlet wrote about getting her powrs back, Betelgeuse floated onto the spot next to her on the king-sized bed and rubbed his chin as he tried to think of a solution. Hey, his brain may be loopier then a rollercoaster track, but he could have his moments of brilliance.

Betelgeuse looked over to Scarlet "Maybe if we kidnap whatsherface and see if she knows anything? If not, it'll always be fun to have a pet to torture" Betelgeuse suggested as he sat up, glancing at the open window. Part of him wanted to severly hurt the Titans for what happened to his girl. The rest of him jsut wanted to hurt the Titans in general

Scar moved to sit on her... Companions lap and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"No... If I know anything about thoseTitans, then she's too protected now." she wrote before closing her eyes and ...snuggling up to him. What the heck was wrong with her... Right with her?
Agh.

She'd never thought about anything like..feelings. Gah even the word.
This made no sense..

[Yup am okay now, just gotta wait a while for the wound to heal, meaning I can half-walk around, half stuck on my butt playing minecraft]

Betelgeuse blinked when Scarlet moved into his lap and snuggled against him. Obviously the...whatever it was, had had more then an effect on Scarlet's powers. She didn't exactly seem the type to snuggle up. More the type to murder hundreds then go for a little playtime afterwards. Not that he was complaining about the fact that a girl with a veyr nice figure was pressing her body against his. Not at all...

"So what are we gonna do? I doubt you'll be okay enough to cause some havoc for a little while till we sort out exactly what the hell those walking corpses did to you, babe" Betelgeuse said, tapping a finger to his lips, trying to coax his crazy brain into action

Scarlet frowned and growled thinking she couldn't kill anyone.
Wait..well...
"This is ridiculous..." she shook her head, "All I know, is that I need distraction. Right now." she looked up at him with a devious smirk.
Perhaps they could have some fun on their own... and when she was strong enough again, they could go on a mass killing spree.
Yes, that seemed like agood plan.
Forcing her doubts and worries to the back of her mind, her psychotic brain took control again and her red eye seemed a tad brighter than her blue one.
Since she was already on his lap she shifted so she was practically stradling him.
Showtime.

[Likewise, sorry for the long wait, got bogged down with stupid school]

A perverted smirk quickly grew on the face of the ghoul as Scarlet straddled him. "You so sure you should be startign this while your still recovering, babe?" Betelgeuse asked, letting his long, serpentine tongue flick across her lips as he put one hand on her waist, the other slowly sliding up and down her side "Cause I can give you a little...'check-up' if you want" Betelgeuse purred teasingly as his hands roamed over his girl's body

Damn, he was REALLY starting to like this girl. Completely crazy, no inhibitions and a love of death. It was like he'd found his perfect girl.

"Absolutely sure." she moaned softly, pulling him down with her to the bed.

[Some time later]

Scarlet was covered by the bedsheets wrapped around her, her head on BJ's chest. As much as she wanted to kill someone, she knew she should keep a low profile until she found out what Julie was going through. Not because she cared, but because it would help her figure her own situation out.

"I want to kill someone..." she thought before turning to BJ and grabbing her notepad.
"This is fun," she gestured to their position and smiled, her trademark psycho smile. At least that stilled worked.
"My name is Rose, by the way. Given name, anyway" she wrote.
Why the hell had she just written that? It had felt wrong...somehow, not to tell him. Though this only confused her more. This was a guy she had known for..okay give or take a few days. But they had been the most eventful since she'd escaped from the lab.
Her eyes both flashed red briefly at the memory.
Now she really wanted to kill something. But she couldn't.
So she'd have to concentrate on BJ and her...feelings.

Betelgeuse smirked when he saw Scar's first message. Always god to know he did a good job. He blinked when he saw what else she wrote, about her given name. Rose...the name flew off the tongue. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl...Wait, where the heck did THAT come from?! He was a murdering psycopath who had a preference to knives and forcing people to die for his entertainment, the hell did he know about beauty? After a moment of mental debate, a single word left Betelgeuse's mouth "Nicolas" The way he said it was as if he had a horrible taste in his mouth

It absolutely disgusted him to think about his mortal life before, how he'd been nothing more then a scared whimpering boy before the Joker, waiting for a man dressed in a bat suit to rescue him from the Clown Prince before his cheeks had been cut and he died from the cyanide-rich pie the Joker had shoved into his face. The name held nothing but hatred in his life now. Hence why he prefered being called Betelgeuse, despite the obvious perks with his power and all. In his eyes, Nicolas was dead, nothing more then worm and maggot food in the ground. Where he had been, someone stronger and more deserving had been created and damn did he love it

Scar mouthed his name, her plump lips curving at the vowels though no sound came out. She didn't write about it though, noticing his tone. Since when did she take other peoples feelings into consideration?
Maybe not other peoples..but BJ's...
"I like BJ. Reminds me of something else..." she wrote, licking her lips and winking at him playfully, her eyes flickering down and then back to his eyes, the evil glint still there, but something else shone as well, in her darkened eyes. Something...light...
"We need to find out what happened to me. I have different powers..." she scrippled, before creating a ball of electric energy in her right hand and a black ball of shimmering nightmaric energy in her left hand, though a stream of both ran across her skin as well, though not as visible. She tried to delve into her mind foraging skills, but to no avail.
Her red eye grew brighter as the blue grew darker.
"What do you think?" her usually purely psychotic expression was slightly riddled with concern.
