Grace finished explaining the story of the Four Kings, who had found the North Land and had battled the demons for it.

Toji asked if Grace would really go with him to apologize. "Of course I will, Toji. And who cares if they hate you? Half the team hates me, but they know I'd freeze them if they ever said so. Never will everyone love you. It's something we just have to live with."

It took Grace a second to understand Toji's pun. Suddenly, she burst out laughing. He was playing on the word "cool." They didn't have such jokes in the North. "That's funny. How did you think of that?"
