It was another normal day for Emblem. Well, normal..As normal as he would think it to be. He still resided within Holding Cell K-48, barred from the outside world of his free will. He had already spent a long time here, and although his body had still been busy with healing itself, he had also started training his body again. The demonic scars of possession were slowly leaving his body, in his mind, that did not mean he could not stress it with some over-the-top exercises. As far as he knew, he saw enough television where convicts did that as well. He needed to regain some shape.

Emblem realized he would not gain the same shape that he had always had. In terms of magic. While he was toying around with the magic in his cell, juggling fireballs and the likes, his infinite amount of magical power, hailing from the Infinimagus Initiative, was never coming back. It was for the better.

In return for the magical power, he did not just keep all his experience as a Titan, as an Elementalist, but also gained one of the things he had always wanted. His thirst for knowledge would almost never be sated, but because he drank from the Chalice of Harmony, he gained a clear view on almost anything. He would only abuse that to be himself, but it was a good thing to have. Information would come in more clear then ever, and stay in it's place.

Speaking of information, Emblem smelled something. He got up in a sitting position, and checked his robe. He already knew his robe was fireproof, but it could possibly be burned by those little pyreflies he had swarming across the room. His robe looked fine, and Emblem kept silent to listen for anything. The atmosphere seemed to be heavier then usual, so in his mind, that could only mean one thing. And it took them long enough.

''Warden, I'm taking an extra break!''

Normally, he'd get another vile remark from the grumpy warden, who was stationed close to him. This time, complete silence. Emblem did not like that. He kicked at the door, making it fly open, and stepped out of his tiny holding cell. He grinned as he liked that particular trick. He could never kick open such a door normally, but it seemed it was very receptive of both human strenght, and a bit of an magical explosion to give it some punch.

Looking left and right, but he never saw someone. Things were different though, and if he were to handle them, it would be best if he had some room. Emblem repeated the trick he performed on the cell door on the wall in front of him, breaking it down enough to step through it, out on the big square inner-yard. The walls seemed to Tower over him, only some grey sky visible on top. Emblem looked around, and rubbed his hand. Sparks flew from it, forming into a long beam of light. The light grew dim and Emblem now held his trustworthy staff. At the same time, he looked a over his shoulder, and murmured a few words, resembling a song, to break the silence before the storm.

''Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk to you again. A vision softly creeping, left it's seeds while I was sleeping. And the vision that was planted in my brain still remains. Within this current sound of silence...''

''...They are coming.''

Emblem cracked his neck and stretched his arms, waiting for either this feeling to subside, or the enemies to show. He expected the latter. Emblem wondered why it took them so long to find him, and why they had not tried to finish him off earlier. Then again, he did not run either, did not hide, did not want any protection. He never did learn, did he?

So many humans to kill, and so little time. Dar licked the blood from his most recent kill off of his claws. The blood dripped down onto his green and yellow armor. He loved wearing this suit, and working with the enemies of the Titans gave him the chance to wear it.

Originally, he had only wanted a small sample of the food in the kitchen. After all, the aroma smelled so good when he had been passing by. Indeed, the food was much better than that of his home world. Perhaps these humans should become the cooks of Apokolips when they become enslaved. His taste had attracted some guards, who were obviously distraught that a parademon was roaming freely in their prison. Dar had needed to kill the guards, which suddenly made the food seem less apetizing.

It was time to move in, anyways.

Opening a door into the inner-yard, Dar grinned as he found his target: Emblem. The magician seemed to be expecting Dar. That was fine. There was nothing this human could do to change his fate.

Dar walked slowly into the clearing. Surrounded by the prison walls, it had the feel of an arena. Dar had already killed one Titan. This man, Emblem, promised to be more of a challenge. Dar was bursting with excitement.

Dar let out a roar that echoed throughout the prison. It was a signal to his partners that the fight had begun. It would also hopefully intimidate his opponent.

''Well, that's a surprise. No sneaky surprise attack?''

Emblem raises his staff, and jabbed it back into the ground. Sparks flew and the air around him seemed to heat up, until small pillars of flame erupted from the ground. With a booming voice, Emblem adressed the enemy in front of him.

''A bloodied sort of alien, trying to fight me. If you killed that Warden, you are gonna pay for it. He hated me, but otherwise was a good man. Understandable, since I killed his grandchild when I was possessed.''

The fire erupted, and Emblem seemed battle-ready. His tied down hair waved a little in the hot air surrounding him. In the meanwhile, Emblem had stressed his brains to collect information. So far, no luck yet. He did not seem to know this individual, nor had he hread his file somewhere. As far as he could go, the entity was not human, or not completely, and had claws as main means of attack. those things were probably what drew all that blood.

In a blink of time, Emblem dashed forward, stuck his staff in the ground, and used it as a polevault to launch himself towards his opponent, feet first.

''Incoming!''

Dar braced himself as Emblem vaulted himself closer. Was it really so easy, he wondered. His opponent couldn't change his trajectory in mid-air, unless he could fly, so Dar aimed at where Emblem would be and jabbed his massive arm, claws first, into the air.

If nothing changed, Dar would impale his foe through the side up to his elbow, and the fight would be over.

(Keeping it short, as far as I know more ewre coming Very Happy )

Emblem would have loved to quickly put his feet against his opponent's head and knock him over, but alas, it was not going to happen that easily. His opponent had expected this attack to be what it is in the most basic of forms. Emblem's face twisted into a foreboding grin as he closed in on his opponent. Inside he knew more were to come, or at least, he expected more, but for now...

''Here comes the..Boom!''

With that, a quickly-growing sphere of fire eminated from Emblem, exploding prematurely in mid air. Dust shot up from the grounds, clouding the air. Emblem, due to the inner explosion, leaped out of the way using the dust as his cover. Using his staff as an extension, Emblem tried to listen as to where his opponent landed, shile steering some ofthe dust out of his way.

''Come out come on where ever you are..''

Emblem was thrilled. He did not see his opponent, could only make a vague estimation where he was, and if anything, he was gonna go hunt the hunter. No way was he gonna wait for it. Adrenaline levels started to rise as his breath heightened. Emblem surpressed it, still breathing a lot, but not making any unwanted sounds.

Dar felt the explosion hit him, and it was powerful enough to just knock him over. He activated his armor's flight ability before he hit the ground, however, and was lifted into the air as if he was as light as a feather.

The flames had not hurt him, although they had been uncomfortable.

Rising 10 feet above the dust, his goggles aided his eyes in finding his target. Diving at the figure, Dar held both claws forward. He planned to impale his foe with them before Emblem even saw him coming.

Emblem could not find his opponent. Not under him, not back, not forth. Not left...not right. He had to be above! When he was sick of the obstructed vision, Emblem blew some heated air forward, just to clear the dust in the range before him. Just about then, his opponent was spotted flying in, attempting to use the cover of the dust to strike. In sheer reflex, Emblem held his staff in front of him, the magical weapon blocking the claws only inches away from him. In this moment, he took a good look at his opponent. He surely was not human, but he had lots of gadgets as well. ...Maybe he could wreck a few?

''Ya know, with you trying to hit me head on, and all those gadgets...do you have a mind of your own? Do you actually use your grey mass? Who sent you?''

Emblem tried to keep his opponent locked in close, as those claws were dangerous, but he had another window of opportunity. Emblem's eyes glared a menacing orange for a second as he kicked forward, striking from under his blocking position. The attack hardly had any effect.

''So you're tough against basic physical attacks. Good. I like magic more anyway.''

As Emblem kept his opponent close but not too close with his staff, the ground below them instantly split open, with a pillar of fire shooting up from under them. It the effect that happened, the only give-away the little orange glare Emblem had for a second when he cast the spell. Emblem tried to get his opponent to look him in the eyes, possibly too late to respond to the instantaneous eruption below them.

Dar was about to answer when Emblem attacked him. The strike did not hurt Dar at all. He laughed at the human who thought he could hurt a parademon.

Dar did not even notice Emblem's eyes changing color. Instead, he reached for the staff and tried to rip it away from his opponent. Suddenly, a pillar of fire formed from the ground and shot Dar back into the air. He felt uncomfortably hot, but did not suffer any major burns. His skin was very resistant to fire, for he had practically been born in it.

Dar reactivated his armor's flight ability and looked down at Emblem from 40 feet in the air. Perhaps it was best to wait for his partners to arrive.

(On a side note, do please tell me which part I misread in your application that stated you are highly resistant to fire, I do not often meet individuals who do not get burns from being in the middle of a fiery eruption. Letting it shoot you up the air is quite original though.)

Emblem did not like the way this was turning out. He needed more information. Furthermore, it seemed his opponent was quite resistant to his favorite element. Not getting burned with one of Emblem's signature attacks was quite a feat. Unfortunately, this meant Emblem had to switch to another branch of elemental magics.

Which triggered some internal conflict within Emblem. Had he still have his previous level of energy, he would have made sure his opponent would think the world was coming to an end. He would toss barrages of of fireballs at his opponent, maybe even use the Hell's Organ. However, as much as he wanted to, he does not posses such energies anymore, resulting in playing things more smart. Or less hotheaded, as Krious probably would call it.

Whichever it was, Emblem would not bode well to give his opponent time, and while he was collecting information, he would want to know how strong this flight ability was.

Emblem held his staff up high and started spinning it in his two hands, faster and faster. After it seemed like Emblem was going to get his feet off the ground like a helicopter, he murmured the incantation he needed to initiate this spell.

''Switching a spell of Vulcano
Unleash ye, mighty Tornado!''

With that, searing rotating winds would spawn off Emblem's rotating movement, building up towards his flying opponent, resembling a tornado. Emblem succeeded in performing the spell, yet he could remember doing a more powerful one. This Air element was surely not as strong as fire, and even more so because it wasn't his most-practised element. Emblem was a Libra, one of the Air Element zodiacs, and for that, he was thankful. Otherwise, casting this would have possibly been even harder. A small bead of sweat formed on his brow, confirming he was better off sticking to fire magics.

((Yeah, when are ya buddies gonna be here? :P ))

OOC: He's resistent to most things. It takes a lot to actually hurt him, but fire with enough intensity will soon affect him the same way it affects humans. He did suffer burns, just not 'major burns.' His armor also acts to protect him from extreme temperatures. I appologize for that not being clearly stated in my application. Also, I didn't know how intense the fire from your attacks was. It is hard to know how to react to 'fire' as opposed to...steel melting flames, for example.

Where are they? I don't know!

BIC: Dar looked around for his partners, but could see nobody else but his opponent, who was now spinning his staff. Expecting more fire, Dar began flying in a weave motion to avoid a fireball to the face.

Then a tornado came out of nowhere. Dar didn't understand what was happening. The wind seemed to pick up really fast, but he didn't think much of it until it started pulling him in a circle. Dar tried to correct his flight path, going against the wind.

Dar didn't understand the inner workings of his flight armor, but it was mostly powered by anti-gravity technology. Agaisnt the strong wind, his flight ability faultered. His apparent lack of weight made him easy to toss around in the air.

Dar went flying backwards, out of control. He was getting dizzy from the constant spinning, but was powerless to stop it. Turning off his armor did not occur to him, nor would it have really helped.

(The cavalry is here! xD Sorry.)

Alissa stepped out onto the roof of one of the prison buildings, having just arrived. It had taken a little time to... convince the guards to let her through. She wasn't as happy as she usually would have been at the prospect of seeing another hero die; she was all business today.

Her eyes began glowing white straight away as she activated her powers, reflecting her attitude. There would be no playing around with this one. She created a illusion of a prison yard full of enemies and cast it over Emblem's mind; he would now be seeing hundreds of Dars attacking him. Hopefully it would distract him for a while, but Alissa knew he would be much harder to kill than the shape-shifting brat had been.

OC: Ah...Never mind then. You'll notice my fires getting hot when they turn blue, but that ain't gonna happen much. Oh Shadow, Illusions? You wanted to get Emblem in euphoria? How nice of you! If you don't get why, read my application Wink.

Alissa did some fine work, as one by one, enemies started to appear. Surprised, Emblem would cancel his Tornado, it cost him more then the effects it had were worth. As the winds slowly died down, he looked around, seeing hundreds of Dars suddenly attacking him. For some reason, he did not think his current opponent did this. The dude in the air was more combat-related then illusions were. Either his friends had arrived, or Emblem's Glass Magic from before backfired.

''Oh yeah, dance with me laddies!''

As the multiple Dars attacked him, Emblem twirled around them, using his staff in supplement of a...guitar? He seemed to be playing air guitar on his staff, using the lowest end as a pole to wing around on. In his mind, Emblem saw the illusions. His eyes did not see who casted them though. Deep down inside, Emblem felt a little discomfort, and recognised it instantly. While the Chalice did help him, he could still snap. He was only human. And he had snapped before. And before that too. Yet a weird twisting gut feeling wanted him to endure such suffering again, wanting to see how he would do now that he was less powerfull then ever. Emblem also wondered if his opponents would have ever faced him had he been at his prime. But that was for another time.

As Emblem looked up, he saw the true Dar. His opponent had regained control over his flight ability. Emblem waved at him and shouted at him.

''Since when do we keep flying when your ugly brothers are here. Come down, say hi to your deformed family. Come on, they're almost as ugly as you are! Oh and please introduce me to any lady friends, I don't like to see all this dudes in one place without having something better to look at!''

Emblem smirked at his own pathetic attempt at mockery. It almost never worked. the nagain, he had almost doen this as a joke, mostly pointed at Krious. That fact would make any mockery a failure by default. However, he did have some serious business to commence to. He had a combat-based enemy flying over his head. He could conjure his wings but that would probably cost him more then benefit him, and now another enemy, yet to be spotted by Emblem in all this commotion, was somewhere within the prison walls. Two on One. Emblem cracked his neck and firmly grabbed his staff, thinking about his next step. He had never really fought like this, but reforming to being smart wasn't doing much for him either.

The staff disappeared into his hands, melting like lava and covering them up. Emblem slammed his fists together, and sparks flew of them. Emblem's hands had turned darker, like a vulcano's crust, with little bright orange and reddish lines in between. His fists were tough, and they were smelting hot. He rushed forward, waitign for his flying oppoennt to come forth while he would enjoy himself with the clones, hoping to fidn a key in their aptterns to find the conjurer. Emblem's adrenaline raised as his heartbeat went faster and faster.

''Come 'ere!''

Dar, of course, didn't see any of his illusion-based clones. The look on Emblem's face gave, however, gave away the fact that one of his partner had arrived.

About time, Boss.

Still, Dar wouldn't be able to stay angry at such a cute little girl.

Dar was about to dive down at Emblem when he saw the man's staff disappear, replaced by molten blobs around his fists.

Quite intimidating, Dar admitted.

Flying down towards Emblem at 30 miles an hour, Dar would try to tackle the man into the ground. Dar would be slightly hurt by the impact, but he expected to crush the human.

Emblem realised his mistake, just not in time. His brain had been able to recognise illusions, instilling euphoria into his system, but he had acted on it too much. While he was around busying himself with all the Dar clones, the REAL Dar came flying in.

Emblem strick an illusion with his fist, making sure that the next time he was conjured he'd still remember this one. That same moment, as if he flew through another copy of himself, Dar struck. With a large 'Oomph!', Emblem was tackled down to the ground. Pain shot through his body on impact, but that wasn't all. When he connected with the cold harsh prison grounds, He felt something cracking severely, as his entire frame was rattled. Two ribs at the very least. Inside his mind, he cursed himself for not paying attention, and the ephoria was far from present at this moment. However, in his moment of peril, Emblem had grabbed hold of his opponent, dragging him down on his level. Emblem spit to the side, but the blood was burned before it touched the ground.

''Now that you're down here with me..''

Emblem tried to tighten his hold with his molten fists, hoping the heat would strengthen his hold on Dar. He had no clue if he had the guy's glider of some back armor, but he hoped to melt through it. Because his next move...was another favorite, his most-known attack.

''...Have a look at what HELL looks like.''

Emblem opened his mouth wide, but instead of a dark hole with a tongue, it seemed to burn white with the intensity yet unknown. Emblem inhaled deeply, closing one eye as he yet confirmed he had broken more then a few ribs, seemed to have his eyewhite take over all of his eyes, removing pupils and the iris, preparing to exhale a fiery breath to his yet-close foe.

Dar had hit his target. Good. Few men were able to take more than one hit from him. That impact had knocked the breath out of Dar's lungs, and as he breathed in, he turned off the flight ability on his armor.

Attempting to stand, Dar found Emblem holding on to him with those molten hands of his. The heat was starting to sink through his armor, which scared Dar. Also, fire seemed to be forming in his opponent's mouth, and Dar wanted to avoid it.

Pushing down on the man's molten arms, Dar was saved an immediate burn thanks to his gauntlets, but soon found his flesh being toasted. With a final, painful shove, Dar pushed the human off of him. He was now free of those horrible burning hands. It was too late to fully dodge the fire from Emblem's mouth, however. Intense white flame Dar's face and burned off the layers of his skin. His armor melted slowly as the unbearable energy surrounded it. In panic, Dar turned and ran as fast as he could, trying to get out of the fire. The pain was insane.
