| The Jump City Maximum Security prison, a monument to the failures of all criminals- meta or otherwise who tried to fight the law but the law won. Did anyne ever actually stay here for any length of time? Off screen they sure did but time and space is a human measured concept! Since the days of the original teen titans, there had been many new renovations and additions to ensure that whoever was sent here, STAYED here to serve out their time. The building itself was a massive fortress with no external windows whatsoever- windows were structurally weak points. In the unlikely (except in this case but we'll get there) event someone was brazen enough to siege the building from the outside, there were external mounted turrets offering a 360 degree protection from all but the most determined or numerous of attackers. Internally, it was very much just a prison that caters to securing normal criminals, and the uncommon metahuman with varying degrees of security. Unlike the days of the original teen titans, there was one unique feature with this prison that at the time was the first of its kind; the warden was an artificial intelligence.
The design team lead, Heinrich Allard Mercier concluded that humans were prone to error. They could be bribed, easily harmed and coerced, but a machine... would not be so easily swayed. The prison itself was a test run for that A.I and thus far there had been no notable breakouts to date, and the A.I Warden in charge showed no signs of what naysayers were concerned about- rebelling against its masters basically. The Warden monitored the entirety of the prison through the internal sensors and security systems, able to monitor life signs, heat and observe interactions so that it could act in the most efficient way possible to ensure the prisoners would serve out their time with... a minimum level of comfort. A certain half-kryptonian would find that unlike with most men, the machine would not be seduced, and any guards whose judgement would be compromised in any manner, was disciplined or transferred.
That's all well and good, and the prison was definitely very difficult if not impossible to escape from by yourself. But what about getting in? All of those flashy pew pews may discourage some people from trying to break IN to the prison, but there was one magical man who was no such person. The attack would begin simply with portals opening up above, and around the prison from all sides. As expected of an A.I designed to run a prison, the external defenses immediately took this sudden arrival of numerous unidentified... small people as a threat. So they opened fire! The defenses were surprisingly not very effective against the Steve Swarm, simply delaying the inevitable as one group of them succeeded in breaching the outer defenses! Alarms were blaring, guards and Blockers were rallied to try and stem the tide. Then to top it all off, The Ringleader himself, the one behind this spur of the moment, totally not doing it because he was bored to tears and thought that he was totally going to get away with this because the local crime fighters are a bunch of layabouts!
"Steve! Go get what's her face- that girl you all tripped over for. We're going to need her to help get The Terrible Trio out... in a timely fashion. I've sat by long enough to let this city just exist peacefully!" Fasilli said emerging from ANOTHER portal that was sorcled by a Sorcerer Steve, followed by... even more Steves. There was also one important thing about these Steves. Unlike the normal Steve which had a rather simple and featureless mask, these Steves appeared to be wearing something that resembled a gas mask. They also seemed to be more affected by the efforts of the guards, robots and boring background stuff that usually served as a punching bag to the Stus of the multiverse.
Steve Troupers would scurry all over, running recklessly into resistance and trying to overwhelm it with sheer numbers and chaos while a few Steves succeeded in finding Kass' cell. They honked and squeaked, waving at her excitedly before trying to touch the forcefield cascading around the bars of her cell. The forcefield hissed and zapped the Steve who then touched it repeatedly for a moment while the others stared at a control panel next to her cell. Ah! One Steve Steved, trying to call out for someone before a lightning bolt seemed to zip and zoop around, striking The Steve Speaking. The Shocked Steve squeaked in pain and was downed, revealing another Steve now standing atop of him, giving off faint arcs of electricity. The Steves Steved and pointed at the forcefield (which was still being poked) and the console.
The Shocky Steve rubbed his nubs together expectantly, and became electricity before diving into the console. He simply clogged up the flow of elecitricity, which he snacked on greedily which just left the bars to deal with. The Steves outside Kass' cell hurrayed and then tried to do something about the bars- ranging from tugging and pulling, to taking a hammer to them, and then using each other as battering rams. All of which failed against the secured iron bars...

| After being captured one would think Kassandra Kent would look for opportunities to escape the authorities and get back to H.I.V.E. Academy. THEY WISHED! The sad reality was not only did she not try to escape her captors. Kassandra also wouldn’t be quiet! The entire ride to the prison compound she went on and on about the accommodations she wanted - which included but weren’t limited too - a queen sized, no king sized, bed with a memory foam mattress and feathered pillows, that she wanted freshly stuffed. Orange juice, freshly squeezed in the mornings. She required her nails to be done every Wednesday. Just because she was locked up didn’t mean she should have to let her skin care routine and general upkeep get tarnished. She wanted velvet sheets, a yoga mat, and a masseuse. The demands kept coming and coming. The guards at first were accommodating to her but as the alien went on and on and on they started to ignore her and gave her even less generous treatment, which only made Kassandra more demanding.
Upon reaching the facility she found herself placed in a super max security cell, which she promptly escaped and went to use the showers. Upon being located Kass was convinced to go to a different cell as long as they did provide television. This new cell being the current electrical based one that the Steve’s were attempting to open. Kassandra had tried earlier to get out to order pizza but the shock was too much for her to handle especially without any sunlight shining down upon her. But with the electric steve-thingy draining the current she could probably at least help manage the bars. “The headmaster came for me!” She exclaimed with joy as she smiled at the little Steves and then began yanking the bars open with them with what little super strength she could muster at the moment.

| Meanwhile...
The rest of the cellblock was going about as you'd expect it to without superhero intervention- The Simple Steves were practically impervious to attempts at stopping them, with The Troupers simply outnumbering the guards and other defenses five to one... until the A.I seemingly took an attitude and started deploying more Blockers. NOW the Simple Steves were still free to remain unstoppable, and The Troupers actually were being casually swatted away- also lazers, everywhere like one of those scenes of Clone Troopers VS The Battledroids. What's that? The Troupers don't use lazers? Well, there are still battledroids so yer argument is invalid! Sorcerer Steves were giving the A.I quite the headache; what with their ability to actually send more than one type of attack at the Blockers- until they discovered electricity seemed to be quite effective and so also Steved to any and all Shocker Steves to... well shock them- which they were, quite happily! Scorching Steves threw fireballs and started setting fire to things that really shouldn't be on fire- causing the occasional explosion, Slippery Subzero Steves were turning one floor into an ice rink and making it literally impossible for friend or foe to stand on it properly... All in all it was a splendiferous and stupendous display of chaoticism! But it was also going exactly and accordingly to plan which made The Ringmaster quite the big sad and enormous ennui.
Back at Kass' cell...
Due to the unintentional exploitation of her need for sunlight, the bars would require some good ol'fashioned elbow grease but perhaps with the help of The Steves (let's not kid ourselves) they would eventually yield. The Steves cheered excitedly, thinking this had only been possible because of them as a wall behind and to the side of them seemed to erupt as a taller and stockier looking Steve smashed through with a mallet, a few Steves with little propellers on their heads zipping by giggling.
Stocky Steve Sounds.
Simple Steve Sounds. The Steves seemed to remember their message and one tried to lead Kass by the hand, pointing a nub toward the chaotic scene unfolding inside the rest of the cellblock as The Stocky Steve just hopped over the railing and landed on a Blocker that was then smashed via mallet related bludgeoning.
"Seeing as we have the whole place to ourselves, would my lovely young assistant please join me for an excursion down below? We need to collect Rocky, Gooman, and Potato Chip from the lower levels," Fasilli spoke through his cane which was now functioning as a megaphone. For the longest time he had been in the midst of the Steve Swarm, wherein his Steves were keeping literally everything else occupied to the point where he was an afterthought.
"You will join them down there as a prisoner..." a synthesized male voice intoned through the speakers.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd think the wind was telling me a HILARIOUS joke- because there's NO WAY that masterfully crafted piece of humor came from anything NOT ALIVE AND TOTALLY A PUPPET!" Fasilli shot back at what he assumed to be that... thing which ran the place. He had more important things to devote his memory to than what he called these abominations of craft- though it was adorable it thought it was people and in another life he would be in a more gratious mood. In any case, he DID actually have to move as a pair of Blockers managed to endure the Steve Storm long enough to warm up their eye lazers- giving Fasilli a moment to pick up a Scorching Steve and use it as a Scorching Steve Shield. The Steve tanked the lazers and seemed overly excited to as Fasilli hurled him at one for him to then try melting with excessive heat.

| The Steves, Fasilli, and Cass might have been having their fun, but a certain young hero was on the way to interfere. Taz raced towards the prison, eyes tracing over the various turrets and other assorted defenses. Looked like a hard place to get out of...But that didn't mean it was impossible, and it was up to him as the first Titan on the scene to make sure it was even harder for whatever crook was causing trouble.
His steps stuttered slightly, and he bit his lip nervously, before shaking his head. He...He had to do his best, simple as that. The young Titan ran up to the perimeter, then presented his communicator like a badge towards the nearest camera before going to make his way in. If he would manage to do so, the crowd of riotous Steves would get quite the unpleasant surprise as a blurry shape charged into a grouping of them.
