Main Power Origins: Magic
PowersCrow himself can't do magic and is a poor fighter, but houses three wisps in his body. Each wisp has its own power.
Orange wisp- This wisp is capable of releasing sudden flares of flames. Usually these are around 5 feet across and can only be released once every ten or so minutes as the wisp has to restore its energy. If released to soon the flares will be significantly smaller. The orange wisp also has to keep its distance from Crow while setting off these flames for obvious reasons.
Green wisp- The green wisp is able to let off clouds of toxic gases when it or Crow are threatened. Since Crow does not need to breath it poses no threat to them. The cloud can be kept up for several hours and depending on how long the person stays in it, can result in light headedness, vomiting, or even fainting. The gas can have a radius of 10 feet with the outer edges being diluted down, or being trailed behind the wisp if let off while fleeing for several feet.
Purple wisp- This wisp is capable of creating small shields of protection. Though these shields are only about a foot or two around, they can stop most physical attacks, such as hand to hand, staffs, thrown items, and can be used to stop some bullets (or slow them, think halving their damage). It is not as effective against magical attacks though.
All wisps are able to "flicker out" or briefly turn invisibly to avoid detection or capture. While they are still physically there, they are not visible and can remain invisible for up to 5 minutes if they wish, though the longer they stay invisible, the more energy they use, and so the harder it will be to use their abilities after reappearing.
All Wisps are able to help heal Crow should he be harmed. Though he can regrow a limb on his own should it be severed, the wisps can help speed up the process. ex, without the wisps it would be like a normal plant trying to regrow a lost branch, with the wisps a whole arm could be grown back in a few days.
Life support- The wisps literally keep Crow alive. They return to him to rest and hide in his body. The residual magical energy to seep into the roots that make up his body and allows him to remain alive.
SkillsCrow is rather good with animals, and has exceptionally good writing for someone with only 4 fingers, er, sticks on each hand,..limb? He also knows a fair bit of sign language.
AbilitiesIf he wanted too, Crow could be really good at camouflaging himself in with forest surroundings. Though that would involve him taking off his clothing that he is convinced makes hime look very human.
Being light weight, long limbed, and lanky, he is rather athletic and able to jump fences, climb over obstacles, and generally avoid small barking dogs that mistake him as a tree that they must mark.
Physical WeaknessesHe's a walking tinder box. Fire is his enemy.
He also has to keep at least one wisp with him, as if he loses all three for a week he starts to look like a wilting pumpkin. Because that's basically what he is. The wisps are his life source.
He is made of plant matter so he isn't really strong, and not the most durable of creatures. losing limbs is a hazard of his life.
Mental WeaknessesHe has a healthy fear of fire. He doesn't panic around it, but you won't find him actively finding ways to keep fire near him. (his orange wisp is the only exception to this rule)
He is also very trusting to a fault. And on the flip side, if he doesn't trust some one, that doesn't mean one of his wisps won't decide to float off with that person.
EquipmentHe has a pencil and notebook with him most of the time to communicate with people. He is mute and most people he has found don't know sign language.
«««CEREBRAL PROFILE»»»
PersonalityCrow is usually a rather calm and curious character, though he prefers watching from a distance unless actively pulled into a situation.Since one of his wisps are particularly adventurous though, this isn't usually a problem.
He may become frustrated when some one is unable to understand what he is trying to say, especially if it's important or if he's repeated himself ten times over. Life is hard for a mute pumpkin.
One thing that can quickly set him on edge is is any danger to his wisps, and something that can set the wisps on edge is any danger to Crow.
Another small fact about the wisps is that they don't like being referred to as Crow's belongings or pets. Anytime some one asks if they belong to Crow they become indignant and will make sure that the person understands that they did not appreciate that question. They figure that since they brought Crow to life they should at the least be equals to him and how dare anyone refer to them as mere pets.
«««PERSONAL BACKGROUND»»»
Family Members:Do the other pumpkins from Farmer Tom's Pick-a-Pumpkin patch count? or would it just be the wisps? ....yeah probably just the wisps.
Place of Origin:The "pick-pumpkin" patch at...someplace... Pumpkins aren't good at geography and maps.
HistoryRain fell onto the pumpkins at Tom's pumpkin patch, soaking the ground and collecting into streams that flowed between the crops. Broad leaves danced with each drop that struck them from above and three flickering lights darted below the intwining vines. Each seemed to be looking for a dry place to hide under the foliage as they ducked and zipped through the vines and roots. Suddenly one disappeared for a few seconds, then reappeared with a few quick chirps and squeaks, easily mistaken as a mouse or bird. The other two flickering lights turned back to the light that seemed to have found what they were searching for and soon all three had disappeared as the heavy rain continued to fall.
On the outer edges of the pumpkin patch was where Tom Greenes grew his white pumpkins, and one was hidden down between two much larger ones. It had only reached the size of a soccer ball, while the two on each side of it had grown at least three times that size. And in doing so, they had partially cracked open their smaller sibling under their weight. And now hiding within where three wisps, taking cover from the nights rain. But now they were hiding from the families out picking out pumpkins to carve for halloween. It didn't take long for the guards one either side of their shelter to be taken, but every family declined the broken pumpkin, leaving the wisps safe inside. They stayed hiding in that broken pumpkin for the whole of fall, their magic properties keeping the pumpkin from rotting. Though what they didn't expect was that they would also end up accidentally bringing it to life. The roots stretching and weaving together to form a body over time, and cracks in the shell creating two large eyes. The wisps quickly helped their new friend pull itself free and sneak out of the patch. Which was much easier at that time when he was only two foot tall.
Since then they have been traveling together, exploring cities and towns. People who saw them referred to him as the Scarecrow, so he decided to adopt the name of Crow.
