how to avoid vanishing [open, it's a plot thread Bow]

Hoodie Guy would be standing in the center of the living room, with his hood actually down for once. He also had what looked like an Ipad in his hand that he was looking over while he waited for everyone interested in trying to fix this entire situation they had on their hands. Adriana and Isiah would already be there, having been playing a video game prior to him literally "popping" into view in front of them. Usually always grinning much like Chessa, he was for once frowning at the Ipad in his hands. He didn't even know where to begin with dealing with this, he wasn't a public speaker. Wasn't nerves so much as he really didn't like dealing with people, like at all. And not many of the people here seemed too interested in actually trying to find a way out. They seemed to just be trying to pretend that the whole thing wasn't going on and making due with the situation until the divine hand of god saved them. Yeah, that'll ever happen. And he'd become a professional American football player.

"Are those two idiots going to be here?" Adriana asked in her usual, blunt monotone.

"maybe, maybe not. think one of em still needs to do somethin' about anchoring this place. which is... complicated," he sighed in response.

"Stupid you mean," Adriana blinked.

"He just doesn't want to crunch numbers right now is all. I wouldn't either," Chessa added, laying on the ceiling lazily.

"Someone wanted to blast a hole into what may as well be space, and two people I don't know destroyed our front door, put something into it that I also don't know what it is, and now are going to anchor our safe haven to another world that I've never heard of before... it's stupid," Adriana said, surprising everyone by just how much she could speak if she so chose.

Isiah flinched and signed something. "That's the spirit kiddo. Better we try something to get out than stay here for the rest of our lives. I don't wanna be a crazy old cat lady until I'm good and ready," Chessa giggled.

"No holes in space though," Adriana repeated.

The intensity of the migraines soften a bit as the hours went on, but the constant white noise continue to haunt her. As if something inside of her was malfunctioning. Her surroundings did not help orientate her focus, the many hallways felt one big blur of monotone grey. By some luck or chance she manage to find herself in what seems like the living room that seems to be populated. She could hear people talking on the other side of the room, catching snippets of the conversation that revolves around the barrier. It was something that got her attention, luring her in closer to the group. Having the sense that she should participate in this despite her aliments.

Kristoff would walk down the hall, on his way to do some mundane part of his routine. That's when he over heard the conversation. He'd approach the common room, unintentionally silent, listening to them talk about something close to an escape plan. Kris would clear his throat as he stood in the doorway, "You know, I can think of one person that may have be useful in figuring this out."

Medusa had stayed with Illya and went with her into the common room where she saw the other two again. She passed Illya as they entered and looked to see the others. Feeling mentally tired from the exploring she's been doing in the tower, Medusa took a seat on the couch. Who are you suggesting that is?

"Hey Krismas," both Chessa and Lazybones said in unison, both finding it twice as funny that they had the same thought at the same time. Chessa rolled over so that she was looking up and down at everyone at the same time. "Join the party, we're trying to get this figured out now that there's so many people. Is that person here right now?" Chessa added curiously.

"yang and scarlet witch probably have their own thing to do. which if it works out that means we'll need to prepare for what to do next. so who here besides myself and mini-me have actually been looking around, trying to figure out what's going on- and found anything relevant?" Lazybones started and finished as Isiah raised his hand before lowering it again.

Illya found herself standing near Medusa behind the couch. One of the familiar faces she met earlier. Her brow furrow slightly at the thought. Pondering if that notion was true. For it very well be a lie. Just like everything else around her. A collaboration of lies and illusions. One small monotone box adrift in a void of nothingness. She was not crazy. After all can one call someone who does need to eat, breath, or sleep human? Perhaps they were androids stuck on a tower in space, all mimicking human like reactions and emotions for some reason devised by the creators. Or perhaps they were all a simulation in a computer. That was also a likely scenario. Illya blinks. Hearing the question on who was useful she remained silent, as she has done nothing useful. A useless being. A fake human wandering fake halls that lead to nowhere but fake faces.

Kristoff looked over all the people in the common room. He would walk over to the table, giving an obvious fake laugh at the 'Krismas' comment. "Hugh Exley, Pix, I used to work with him. He has a knack for getting out of bad situations, and he's pretty smart." Kris would look at Greed and roll his eyes, "About as useful as you, I'd imagine." Normally when people ask if anyone else has been useful, it was code for, 'I haven't found a thing, but let me seem more important than I really am.' Kris wouldn't be surprised if that were the case here.[/color]

"Right, Pixie stick," Chessa said simply. It was probably only a matter of time for him to show up then. CAP would have probably seen him by now if he had appeared. They were still missing some people too. There was that sexy fox gal, the boobie witch, that... kid that kept falling asleep despite being warned, Rico, Rico's sister, that cannibal, that cool scarecrow dude, and that other person whose name she didn't know. That was a lot of people. Oh well- she'd go hunt them down and smack them in the face with knowledge later... if she felt like it. That'd require effort for one person to go looking for so many people, especially if said people heard Lazybones specifically ask for everyone to meet up. Oh well.

"that'd be handy about now, seeing as me and chessa have been bashing our heads against the wall so to speak," Lazybones commented giving Greed a look too. It was... probably more valid than he would like but they needed to move forward. "so i don't know if anyone's tried- but the solid darkness around us appears to be virtually indestructible," he began simply. Other than the "fox girl" that Adri mentioned, he had no evidence to show that anyone else had tried either."and our basic needs are all taken care of- even oxygen. because incase you hadn't noticed, all the plant life decided to leaf~" he chuckled.


"Which means whatever this is, was created specifically for us to exist. Why? Well, quite a few reasons. Hostages maybe? Some of us probably have some enemies that'd like to get back at us. But do any of them have the capability to pull something like this off?" Chessa chimed in. "Also- something we've warned you about is to not pass out or go to sleep. Why? Because Freddy Krueger is trying to kill you in your dreams," Chessa continued.


"There are also multiple video feeds of identical dates that for all intents and purposes are identical. However, external cameras show varying differences around the tower. The water or sky may be a different color, and the city is in differing states of technological progress. A surface scan of the databanks also show an anomaly that tells us exactly how much data is stored. The tower's computers nor I can make heads or tails of it, and only glean that there is more information stored in this tower than should be technologically possible for this equipment," CAP also chimed in.

"right right. it appears that people experience certain events that took place here, much like a residual haunting. which is not my field of expertise but don't let that dampen your spirits~" Lazybones chuckled again.

Was Hallucination truly a thing? The definition is an experience involving the apparent perception of something not present. But is that not what perception is? The chemicals in the brain arranging the photons into a image that the brain can comprehend. Say having eyes that see red instead of blue, would they not be correct? Nonsensical thoughts like these ran through her head like a assembly line. One string of words after another in a swirl of static. A orchestra of silence and she was the only attendance in the audience.

The people around her kept babbling, chatting on and on about something. It sounded important. Something she should pay heed too. But everything was gray. Fake. Those around her are most likely visages of something in this concrete tomb in the void. Everything was meaningless. Human life is meaningless. Everything is destined to die the moment they were created. Even she, an artificial being originally had a predestined expiration date. A product made by imperfect humans who tried to play God. Nothing but a waste. Everything grows just so that it can die. It's meaningless. Truly meaningless. The more time passes, the more life leaves unfulfilled. Humans have no value. They are Dirty.
