Hero Team: The Cryptic Message (Kip/Ask)

The day was a calm one a few clouds in the sky but the sun still beamed through shine down on the citizens of Jump, some were worried about their daily tasks, other were doing their usual thing they did, some were going out to do something new, but over all the day was like any other. Even as a bus rolled along a girl was on her laptop typing away seemingly just spreading the stereotype that the youngins of the world now and days spent all their time on their tricked out laptops.

She hit enter on her keyboard as the bus stopped and put her laptop in a laptop bag that hung off one of her shoulders and made her way off the buss. Meanwhile a young hero that many including the girl knew well to be a noble and strong hero of Jump. One that had likely much learning to do about being a hero of Jump but none the less knew well of how to fight use his powers and could potentially be a good mentor to new heroes and help keep his potential teammates on the right track. That and he could fly and had super strength and energy esc blasts. Only about 15 out of 20 heroes these days could do that and those were like really helpful things that could make for useful resources in the future.

His name was Alond’r and his last potential team had been torn apart before it could start, so maybe this could give him another chance if he was willing to get back into things. Either way this girl wanted to give him a chance and more importantly a choice… not many people these days were allowed to get those now and days. He soon would receive a text from the number (858) 651-5050 which if typed in to be called would direct him to a weird almost prerecorded esc message of a man and woman reading poems out loud. Though if he texted it would appear to go through. The text would read the following.

“Wildfire, I know you will possibly feel like this is just a trap and not come. After everything that happened the likely last time you got a cryptic message about meeting up with people to form a team it didn’t end well. I know I wouldn’t trust the source but I would still like to try and ask and invite you to come and join a bunch of other heroes from the city that I’m gathering to join a team. The message that you may or may not have seen yet are correct, this city is gonna go to hell if there isn’t someone here to keep it well kept. I can’t be apart of that group who does that anymore but I think you and these other guys could be until the Titans return maybe even after they are back. If you’re interested text me back and I’ll give you all the info to get there.

Ever since the time where Alond'r's previous team fell apart before it could even kick up off the ground, he'd been hanging somewhat low. Although he wouldn't allow evil to rampage through the city, he wasn't exposing himself to the general public as much. It was awful that the team wasn't able to complete the exercise that was given to them by Robin -- Robin, of all of the titans. The leader who kept them all together, the one who led them through thick and thin. How was he expected to be a Titan, or someone to protect the city, if he wasn't able to cooperate well enough with his team to even get past the initial test. It was discouraging, to say the least, but he didn't let it bring down his hopes too much.

Currently, Alond'r had been walking around the city, taking in the several pleasures that were littered around. His hands were stuffed in his pockets -- he'd gotten a bit more comfortable around the presence of all the civilians, and was currently dressed in some earthly casual wear. Sporting a collared, white shirt, with black jeans, and white sneaker, he looked pretty nice for someone who was born on another planet. Though, beneath his clothes, was of course his Tamaranean armor that he rarely left the house without. In case of an emergency where he needed to become Wildfire, he wore it at almost all times out of the house, so that he wouldn't have to do too much work. As for identity, his tangerine-colored skin and emerald eyes almost always signaled that he was not from the planet. He wasn't worried so much about a secret identity as he was that it'd get the people close to him targeted.

Suddenly, there was a buzzing sensation along his hand, in his pocket. Alond'r pulled out his phone, emerald irises landing on the text message from the mysterious number. He stared down at the text, re-reading it a few times whilst hesitant to respond before he finally did. His fingers danced across the virtual keyboard, sending a quick response back. "I'm interested." Another team session? This person knew about the last team failure too, so perhaps he was able to trust them.

The girl made her way up the side of a building to the roof and had set up her laptop once more. She got her hair down from their pigtails and over one shoulder and a mask on. After talking a bit into the microphone built into her mask she looked to a popup in the corner of her screen. A reply finally… ”Do you have any further questions before I depart?” She asked holding stiff as she clicked on the pop up and smirked, this was a lot easier than she thought it was going to be. She then typed back to him as she listened to the man she had the security camera pointed at him up and what he had to say as she wrote to the young Alond’r.

“Glad to hear it, go to the following address at this time around sundown. The location should be near the docks, be ready to meet a few others who will hopefully be showing up. Do you have any questions?

Things were working out correctly and surprisingly according to plan, all she had to do was get in contact with the other 3 while she finished getting dressed and clear out the area for the new team so they were all ready and set up with a base. Now to wrap things up with the other one.

There was something about this whole encounter that felt different from the previous time. Alond'r felt something positive, something strong -- hope. Seeing the reply he'd gotten, he thought for a few moments before typing one back to the mysterious stranger. "Okay. I will be there when the sun sets." Although he felt hope, he also felt this strange excitement about the possible team. He would gain another chance at being a part of a group who were dedicated to protecting the city, and perhaps even the world.

Turning of her broadcast she finished a conversation with another teen girl and looked to see her new reply as she started to change out of her clothes into a skin tight battle suit she pulled out from her back pack and texted the young wildfire back. "Good to see you're on board see you there." She then looked to see that the other young hero girl had finally replied in the google doc as she attached her hood and mouth mask to her battle suit and her chest armor before adding her skirt to the outfit. Things were wrapping up nicely and about on time this was good.
