===POWERS===

Waterweaver:
Rain was born with a very special ability. Although it wasn't much use to him then the abilities of his kin, he was able to use the water in the air and form it in several ways. He could pull it to one source, and he could manipulate it in a sense, but he couldn't form it into any kind of offensive or defensive method. It did however grant him knowledge (feeling living enemies as you feel the water in their bodies etc.) and experience for what was to come later. This ability is mainly passive, and helps him maintaining his body at good levels of hydration and supplements his second, more active ability.

Water Gauntlet :
After Rain was bestowed with the possession of the Water Gauntlet, his powers took a leap. Through the gauntlet, Rain was able to focus his powers into more practical matters. By channelign his ability through the gauntlet, Rain is able to make it rain, point that rain on enemies, create thick mists and the occasional weapon. He doesn't focus on weaponry much, as he isn't able to harden the water. He would use to to hinder his opponent, but striking an opponent with a water sword doesn't really do him any harm. More practical uses would be that he's extremely agile in rain and underwater, curving it to speed him up and splitting it so he has the option to breathe. Legends tell that Rain has an ultimate ability that makes it rain so much, that powers seem to dim, with the rain sucking everyone's energy out.

Ninjutsu:
Rain has been trained from birth by his clan in the art of Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu, as taught to him, is not only the harmony of battle, but inner harmony as well. Rain's learned to express himself through various ways of art and meditation, but let's not forget that Ninjutsu also learned him how to fight and how to act on any situation. Above all, his clan valued finesse, expertise, and stealth. While Rain wasn't a complete master with this, with some help from his thick mists, he could do it all. Striking decisively from the shadows, or mists, convinced the elders that he has completed his training.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Likes: His partner Jolt, rainy days, simple cooking, working out, Ramen and watching some Japanese TV-shows and cartoons in his free time.

Dislikes: Being mocked for no apparent reason, having to do things that are not his way, people who talk more then they know about, show-offs.

Strengths: A very calculating and reliable team player, working together with Jolt, very skilled combatant, levelheaded and coordinative, refined reflexes and control.

Weaknesses: Rain's set of offensive/defensive skills all use water from his direct surroundings. Fighting him where there hardly is any would have him draw it from the sky and air, which is much harder to do. Furthermore, Rain combines attacks and skills. Making sure he's not able to do that which would compliment his battle strategy.

Also very vulnerable to energies that go with currents, such as electricity, as any human being is. Rain's lived through some of Jolt's more electric behaviours, but it's still very unpleasant. Being shocked could also result in him having lesser control over water for a slight duration. Furthermore, Rain is talented, skilled, evasive, yet only as strong as his trianing will make him. He has no superstrenght.

Skills: Extremely skilled Ninja in both ninjutsu and weaponry. Able to see many things and react accordingly. Also very capable of surviving under harsh circumstances, very knowledgeable of herbs and medicine and do's and dont's of survival.

Equipment: Aqua Gauntlet, Shuriken, Customised Ninja Outfit and the occasional weapon ranging from Kamas and throwing knives to a ball and chain and sorts.

Habits/Quirks: Tends to lose himself in his own world when either fighting or watching cartoons. Furthermore, Rain is not only loyal to a fault, he's extremely loyal to Jolt, and would sacrifice himself to save her. She got the Gauntlet due to him, and he's there to make sure she survives the Prophecy and of course, everything else on her way.

Personality: Rain is a Japanese Ninja, extremely well trained in the arts of not only stealth and assassination, but also meditation, visual arts and some poetry. He's a humble guy who would never call himself awesome, or maybe just a few times for fun. Surpriseably, Rain is very a levelheaded and clear thinking guy, but he does have some humor. Even if it means reacting to being mocked for doing something slightly-below perfect by Juno.

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family: Unknown, regardes the Shikarii clan as his kin.

History:

Rain was born a normal boy with a normal life. He doesn't remember this, as his parents had both died. His father had been slain in battle (unknown to him which one) and his mother had died giving birth to him. Ryuko came from a long line of Hydromancers and Cryomancers, but the only power he had showed was that of passive water manipulation, and none in the field of cryokinesis. Hoping this would develop later, his grandfather, for whom he had much respect, had vowed to make him a warrior. The orphenage would only be his downfall, Ryuko's grandfather thought, so he secretly took him to an old training ground, rumored to be used by ninja. His grandfather had was on good terms with some of the Shikarii tribe elders. They allowed Ryuko to stay and train, under one circumstance. He, like all others, would not receive any special treatment and his last name was to be changed to Shikarii.

From there on, life got harsh for Ryuko, but it was a good life. While some knew he wasn't like the normal clansmen, he did try hard. The Ryuko clan however, wasn't known for it's friendliness. Their trainees were handpicked from promising families with powers. Among his kin were people able to use their abilities to either disappear, enforce, or threathen. His powers were only a little help i nthe Sensory department, but he could only make it rain a little if he was angry. And so, he was quickly called douse.

The Elders had been on good terms with Ryuko's grandfather, but not with him. To them, he was a burden, unable to use his power even if he was a descendant of a powerful outworld race of warriors, feared far and wide.

Over time however, Ryuku would prove his worth. Though blood sweat and sheer determination to be regarded an equal, Rain had excelled in Ninjutsu and other arts. His acknowledgement was one that was made with mutual respect. While Ryuko had been beaten up by others and oftenly punished more severe for any mischief, he did never go against any decision and he would accept any punishment. All he did was scream less when he was beaten. He'd grow a little solemn but direct his energies back to triple-training schematics, perfecting his arts and building inner strenght with persistance and perseverance. When Ryuko had bested the top Ninja and was able to pass every test and meet every expectation, the Elders nodded to his skill.

It was then that he was presented with a most powerful artefact. It was an artefact handed down in the ninja clan, choosing it's own master. When he got into the room, the Water Gauntlet instantly shook in sensation. He had been looking for Ryuko it's entire existence. The Water Gauntlet. When Ryuko had equipped it it seemed to glue itself to Rain's forearm. As if it was home once again. It can be reasoned this gauntlet was one of the Cryomancer's famed artefacts.

However, the gauntlet had a twin. But Ryuko knew that if he would equip that one, it would cost him his life. It was the Thunder Gauntlet. It was destined to be with the Water Gauntlet, but it never gotto share hosts with the Water Gauntlet. With permission from his village elders, Ryuko had embarked on a sacred quest to find the rightful owner. It had been said in ancient scrolls that one would need to search for the other would they want to be a force of good, a force to be reckoned with. While the enemy clan did most of their silent and assassinative work for money, the Shikarii clan was one of honor and pride.

And so the search began. Ryuko searched far and wide, travelling long distances at night and short ones at day, disguised as a simple traveller. Ryuko excelled in blending in, keping a low profile, and survival. A portable tent, a small fire, he didn't need much in life. However, the Thunder Gauntlet was not so patient. It wanted it's own master. Just when the Gauntlet had wanted to grow violent, unlike it's calmer counterpart, did it feel it's master. It made it very clear. Ryuko had felt the pulse coming from the Gauntlet.

He had found her at last. Juno 'Jolt' Williams. It was clear. After showing he had no evil intention to her father (by virtually laying every weapon he had in front of the man and showing his face with a corteous bow, he offered her the Thunder Gauntlet.

Sometimer later, he had not only given her a gauntlet. He felt more real then he had ever felt. Hew wouldn't probably admit that very soon, but Jolt was one of the first that he'd ever regard as a true friend. As both are a set, Ryuko had understood there's be more to it then a mere swapping of instruments. He didn't know why, but for the first time in his life, he felt truly drawn to Jolt. That'd either be the way their powers react or the way she was. They soon became best friends. His grandfather had advised him to set out and get a new life, work for the tribe in the city to provide both of them a living, under the guise of a hero. Hew didn't know if Jolt would simply live in Jump City or play hero as well, although he anticipated she'd do something.

Together, they'd be a very weird pair. Ryuko was mostly silent, Jolt was quite electric so to say, but as both seemed to possess what the other lacked, together, they formed a team quite unlike any other.

And so their story continues as they have arrived in Jump City.

Running. Step step step. Through the rain, slapping his feet into almost every puddle he sees. Step step step. Almost there, step step...

Why did he have to do this? He was in a warm cozy bath when he heard he had to do this last capture. If not, he'd not have enough money transferred to his bank account to pay for this upcoming year of education. Education. Their veil. He already knew what he had to know. Art. Ninjutsu, the perfect execution of a flawless plan. However, it was a promise. And a test. The local Shikarii were testing to see if he was as good as they said he was. A logical approach. After all, he had not been here when he was trained. That...and he had promised Jolt's father to take care of her. His tasks would provide for the both of them.

Step step. Rain's mind corrected him as his target had ran past the first checkpoint. The Rain had stopped but the puddles echoed his every move. It was time to strike. With a flick of his wrists, Rain shot his arms forward and dropped himself from the building, going heads over heels. With a twist of the body and the gliding tool attached to his body, he glided under the electricity wires, straight towards the second checkpoint. There was no chance his target would change location now. With the velocity, Rain shot himself loose form the tool and rolled over the ground to halt his advance. The water seemed to slow him down as well, but how could that be?

Objective. Capture without using weaponry, but instill fear in the subject's heart. Probably one of those gangsters who dug too deep and got something he did not wanted. A ninja. Rain make a circular rotation with his arms, and a thick mist seemed to be rolling in slowly. Mist...and silence. All he needed. But not all he got.

''Wake up, wake up the happiness!, come on!, wake up wake up...''

Quickly, Rain shot his arm in a side pocket of his ninja garb and drowned the cellphone in a small orb of water. After the flickering screen kept singing for half a second, it stopped with a little shizzling sound. It was unfortunate that Jolt had been able to get a hold of his cellphone, install that particular tune just for her, and block it so that he had no way to change it back. If only she knew how foolish she had been? Had he not told her not to disturb him when he was doing his job?

His target had not noticed anything in his chaos. Rain had done a pretty good job to scare him already. It was unknown how Rain got him running, but it worked. When the target saw the thick mist, he was even more terrified, but in that narrow dark corridor, the man had zero visibility, and all he heard...was his heartbeat and his heavy breathing.

''Who's there?!''

Rain stood up. All the man saw was a vague silhouette, but Rain could swear he had almost wetted himself. Unfortunately, his sensory ability did seem to indicate the man was wet all over, mostly sweat, but even more in the lower regions. Rain hoped that was the pouring rain that had just passed. With a jab, the man pointed a gun at Rain, and shot. First bullet was a clear miss, the man was shaking too much. The bullet chinked against a metal fence and only the sound seemed to have an impact. The second aim was better though, and Rain retreated in the mists, only to appear behind the man. He slapped the gun out of his man's hand, turning him around.

''...W...who ARE you?''

''I am nobody.''

With that, Rain gave the man a firm chop in the neck, knocking him out instantly. He placed him against the wall. He was sure that the man had only seen his mask and maybe a bit of his garb, but that was all. Rain lit a beacon. The man would be collected soon. And with that...he disappeared. Home.

When he got home, Rain sighed. The place was a mess. Had Jolt been eating too much sugary sweets again?

''Don't hide, I know you are behind the couch. What did you lose this time?''

''D'aww!''

Rain walked to the living room, where his roommate had left a bottle of mineral water. While he was a man of water, he could not ignore it. He loved all the types of water this city had. Especially that particular brand.... but especially not since there was a little post-it note on it with ''Love, Jolt <3'' on it in pink. He rolled his eyes as Jolt rolled over and onto the couch. He twisted off the bottle cap, and took a sip.

With great speed, Rain fell to the ground as his legs gave away. The bottle fell out of his hands and bounced over the floor, spilling it's contents. And a little shizzle to it. It was clear in a second that Jolt had loaded the bottle with a tiny spark to startle him. She knew his water abilities were utterly susceptible to electricity. Rain slowly got up, heaving, looking very agitated at Jolt. His entire body felt locked up as his muscles were tense

''Do you know how much that hurts Jolt?''

''Man up! You should have answered my phone call! I wanted to know which pizza you wanted for the rental movie we got!''

Rain could never stay angry at Jolt for a long time, but back in his mind, he thought she was very lucky to have picked the pizza he liked most.
