Take Down and Clean Up (Open)

Angel nodded. "Sounds about right. A group conversation in which the translator is actually taking part would certainly take a bit of the awkwardness away." the teen agreed. He listened as Blue went on to talk about the families she had dealt with, and as she talked Josh became more and more intrigued. Those are certainly some interesting things she's mentioning...huge families, immortals, not to mention what she was talking about earlier...just who is this girl? Josh was snapped out of his thoughts by Blue concluding their business with the shop owner by paying him for the window.

"Another noble gesture from the noble hero. Keep this up and people will be looking up to you in no time." Angel blinked as the girl delivered her joke, before responding with a smug smile of his own. "Very well then. Do try not to fall behind, I'd hate for you to have to...ketchup". The hero turned back towards the door and exited the shop, waiting outside for Blue to join him. "So, to the school then? I don't suppose super speed is one of your powers? I'd love to get some more flying in, but if you can't keep up, I can make do with walking." We'll leave the bigger questions until we've actually started moving, but I do definitely have some things to ask her about...

She waved him off with a chuckle as he said another noble gesture and smirked. "(Shoosh yo face.)" She said jokingly in return not really seeing it as a noble gesture but just a common curtsy. She then blinked at his reaction of her joke but then grinned once again. "(Dude if you were a girl I'd so be asking you out right now.)" she said with a laugh as she stretched a bit like she was about to run a mile. "(But since you're not I'll just leaf it be but enjoy your pun.)"

She said happily as she stood up straight and walked up beside him at the door. She shrugged up her shoulders bobbing back and forth while wiggling her hand horizontally. "(In a way it is yes but its not in the traditional sense. But from what my school tests showed I can hold about a 75 mile per hour speed for a while and with my hover boots I ca n keep that up with ease by keeping them on.)" She said simply. "(I'm Ready when ever you are though keep in my line of sight so I can follow you please)" She said with a soft smile under her mask.

Josh chuckled as his new hero friend waved at him dismissively. "And humble too. Perhaps I should find a new code name and just let you go by Angel." he replied wryly. The teen was clearly taken aback by her reply to his pun, however he recovered himself as she finished her quip. As he replied, he shrugged in an overly dramatic nonchalant fashion. "Well, your loss I suppose. Perhaps if you were more willing to 'branch' out you'd see what you were missing." he shot back teasingly.

Angel nodded in reply as his comrade confirmed that she could move quickly. "Good. You should have no trouble keeping up with me then, seeing how your top speed beats out mine." The hero re-materialized his wings and spread them open, being careful not to hit Blue with them. "Will do. The streets between here and the school are pretty clear, so I should be able to follow them along until we get there. Away we go then!" he exclaimed as he took off, wings flapping to help him pick up speed.

Once the two had settled into their travelling speed, Joshua called down to Blue. "So you said something earlier about mythical languages and immortals? That's definitely something that most people would give you an odd look for talking about. What exactly do you mean by that?"

"(Now you're just trying to get me all flustered now aren't you?)" She said with a chuckle at his angel code name transfer comment. She then chuckled nodding with a grin "(Yeah definitely a loss there, I never can seem to find a nice girl whose into me, usually their all mass murderers, killer 'heroes', straight, or are just straight up mean. You seem far more promising but alas I can not get behind dat ass.)" She joked with a smile saying everything super casually.

She bounced a bit going from foot to foot. "(Oh really now? Well guess your tails in this but i do fit the color scheme of sonic anyways so that works.)" She then nodded as he explained the streets and let him get a head start before she broke off running and let off energy blasts making her run at top speed for a moment before she turned her hover boots on and kept up with her speed she gained as she hovered along the sides of the road following after angel. She looked up to him as he called down to her and nodded calling back out.

"(Yeah sorry about that I keep forgetting I'm now around humans who don't grow up around that stuff! Im apart of a human esc race that cam from the same gene pool as humans. We were basically metas before there were metas but with spiritual abilities and we have been around since the cavemen era. We just live in our own area and tend to keep our existence away from humans since they tend to be very primitive when it comes to judging others on race gender and all that kind of stuff and tended to kill our people during the salem blood bath cause they didn't understand our people and called us witches.)"

"(Which was rude to witches cause they tend to be able to do way cooler things than us! But we live along side all of what your people would call, mythical creatures and immortal beings and grew up with some of them. The school I went to was a school just dedicated to my people but to your people all you all know is that its a highly private school that teaches and pops out super successful people so it looks really good on a collage application.)"

"(Though most people your people hear about are just cheaters who like to use their powers to get ahead in life like the technopath family i told you about.)" She said all of this super casually. "(Sorry if all that was confusing or didn't fully answer your question, some times i run off track when I try to explain stuff.)"

Angel chuckled at Blue's joke as he flew off, glancing back every so often to make sure she didn't lose him. He slowed down at first when he saw that she wasn't following immediately, however once she sprung into action he brought himself up to speed as well. As she began her answer, Josh couldn't help but feel a bit skeptical. But then again, who really would believe all of this? A secret race of humans living separately from since then cavemen? Although I guess if they really were powerful it'd make sense for them to stay away... "Yeah, we humans do have a bad reputation of being jerks to people who are different to us. Although I think we've put the whole burning at the stake thing behind us. Not exactly a proud moment in human history."

Blue continued talking about immortals, mythical creatures, and a private school for her people. Hm. Definitely an odd tale. I'm honestly not sure how much of it I believe. Blue doesn't seem like someone who'd lie about something like this, but it still feels strange. Perhaps I'll have to do some more research in the mean time... As Blue concluded her summary, Josh shook his head. "No need to be sorry at all. It's good to get all the information to help understand things." he replied, playing off the oddness for the time being. "Well, it's hard to fault someone for using their abilities to their own benefit, although I can see how it would certainly be disruptive. I wouldn't be surprised if people like my parents have been on the losing end of dealings with some of your more publicly know cheaters."

She nodded "(So I've been told, my people tend to see yours as primitive since you were tell trying to invent guns back in the 13th century and still discriminating against women other races and well your own people rather than uniting together. I mean my people still have wars but that is due to less trivial reasons as, i don't like your face fight me.)"

She explained then paused and blushed "(oh uh not all of you are like that though! Youre super cool and so are many others ive met! I have no problem for the most part about humans... but the rest of my people... well lets jsut say at times humans are lucky that we have a rule against killing your people due to war and such... since if we didn't i dont think humans would have lived past the salem blood baths of our people.)"

She looked down a bit "I'm so not helping my case am i....?" She then smiled softly under her mask and nodded "(Yeah thats part of the reason i was going on liek that and totally not cause I dont know when to stop talking....)' She said with an awkward chuckle that slowly grew into a n awkward silence while she looked off a bit again. She then shrugged.

"(Yeah though people are just abusing it now cause they can just claim to be metas at their own risk.... but its still a but rude to use your powers to come out on top of people without abilities to such the degree some do in my people. But some people use them to help humans like I and my cousin do... but we still have people who just use them to do what they want in hiding. Either that or to just make themselve more efficent at their jobs like my family do.)"

Josh listened to Blue's and her people's understanding of humans, once again chuckling as she tried to backpedal her generalization and talk about her rambling. As she talked, Angel did his best to parse the information she was saying. I can't say I've ever met someone with delusions before, but this just feels too out there to be something made up. Besides, she honestly seems to be totally sane otherwise. I suppose given that I exist, it shouldn't be too hard to believe her... "To be fair, everyone tends to think of or remember the worst of others. It's kind of just human nature. Overcoming that takes quite a bit of self-restraint - and being able to admit to doing it shows quite a bit of maturity." he replied with a smile. "Honestly though, given what you can do and your description of your people, I suppose I should be glad humans haven't run into them sooner. Seems to me like they'd certainly be able to deal usa heavy hit."

As for the rambling, Angel decided to let that go. Calling it out further will likely make her feel worse rather than better. Besides, we clearly have other things to talk about... he thought, turning his attention back to Blue. "Makes sense I suppose. Another fun aspect of human nature is that lots of us do whatever we can to get ahead. Sounds like at least some of your people are a bit more human than they'd like to admit, hm?" he replied with a highly jesting accusatory tone. "But yeah, I can admit there's certainly a balance. Telling someone not to use their gifts is a terrible shame, but at the same time going overboard with them can lead others to feel more resentment or anger than anything else."

"(It's very nice of you to try and make excuses like that for me though it still felt a bit rude on my part.)" She admitted smiling softly to him under her mask. She chuckled and shook her head. "(You all have though just cause i say we try to remain a secret doesn't mean that we don't wonder around, just look at demons they do it all the time! We just prefeer not to start fights with people who would be slaughtered depending on the area and people.)"

"(But we are actually all over the world. Not many of us are in the USA which is why this country interests me so much. that and the fact you put midevil porn with dragons and white haired queens and all that stuff is very cool but odd at the same time... i never saw so much boobs on a 'tv show' before in my life until i started to watch that show when i was like 9 or 10. my mom saw and got upset i was watching it but my sister gave me her computer so i could keep watching.)" she said with a chuckle.

She then nodded "(Well we are humans we are just a different 'breed' of them if you will. Like demons, they are a single over all race but there are sub races that are totally different from each other.)" She tried to explain how her people worked race wise.

Angel smiled and gave an overly dramatic bow - or at least, as much of one as he could while flying. "Well, what can I say? I wouldn't want our city's newest hero to feel like she was offending the citizens on her first day here." Blue continued to explain that her people were all over the world, but for the most part had stayed out of the US - hence the hero's draw to the country. Well, that and one other thing. The winged hero chuckled. "Fair enough. America is definitely a bit more lax about what they show on the screen. Anything to make money I suppose." He nodded as his new friend talked about her kind being a different breed of human. "Ah, I suppose that would make sense. Kind of like humans and metas, although I'm sure the difference is a bit more distinct for your people." Josh looked back ahead of them, and, upon seeing the school they were headed to, slowed himself down to land. "Well, here we are. Murakami High. Shall we go in?"

She giggled at his first comment and nodded. "(Well that's rather kind of you sir.)" She said with a joking curtsy to him. She then nodded and chuckled "(Yeah though that's what i really like about this country though.)" She listened to his next comment then and nodded. "(Well I know one difference that is rather big from what I've noticed. Apparently you guys have these things called dreams, where you go on weird adventures of make believe.)"

"(You know rather than entering a normal land based on your mental state and soul with any other resting people near by that you can talk to while your body rests.)" She turned off her hover boots and slowly walked to a stop looking to the school. She smiled brightly under her mask, the place was rather small but she liked it. "(Yeah lets go in!)"
