| OOC: This is for people who signed up for this thread only, sign ups are here. Please make sure to read your IC: With October 31st here plenty of little ones are out and about hunting for candy along with the wild young adults getting drunk too early in the afternoon. It was Halloween, the most wonderful time of the year, where scaring someone is finally acceptable to the public eye. Of course most scares around this time of year was cheap latex and fake blood zombies with the occasional witch, but other people used this night to their advantage. A woman with black and blonde dreads tied up in a knot above her head started placing candles in her home. These candles were laid out like multiple circles, all intertwining with different symbols written with a blue gel in between. In each circle there was a different object with a different meaning. An empty jar, a clump of gray hair, a poisonous apple, a snowflake pendant, a third eye charm, and finally a decaying skull. Once these were all put in their proper space, the woman set a bowl in the center and removed one of her many ring, whispering into her hand. She started chanting and waving her hands and finished by slicing her hand where she was holding the ring, dropping both her blood and the jewelry into the bowl. The mixture sizzled and cracked, erupting blue dust into the air and switching all of the objects colors, finishing the ceremony. With this finishing, three bone creatures erupted from the earth in the Mesa, each representing its own object. However, in the crossfire the witch did something she didn't mean to, something that would cause more chaos which fueled her into a stronger state. Luckily it was only 10, meaning Ella was passing by the Mesa on her usual patrol. She had to stop for a few moments because she had a sudden state of nausea wash over her, only for her to feel completely fine 2 seconds later. She just thought it was from the fight earlier and didn't think too much about it, especially when at this time giant skeleton creatures broke free from the earths crust a mile away. This'll be interesting! - The Monsters:

| Yuriko would be busy using her ghostly attributes in a haunted house, helping out some friends from the Murakami Supernatural Club, just phasing through walls, saying boo, making the rooms a little chilly.
While on a little break she suddenly noticed herself feel the ground beneath her, which was very strange seeing in her current state she usually has a whispy trail, looking down to her hands she would gasp as flesh and bone started to envelop her body "w-what is this...why" she uttered as she suddenly felt the chill of the wind on her skin, once finished she would be stood there, in her white kimono, bare foot with her green hair. "W-what's happened to me?!" she said in shock, this was more than her just turning tangible, her flesh had blood running through it she wasn't just a walking corpse, she...she felt warm...she was seemingly human.

| Sometimes you can be in the right place at the wrong time. All year Kiara had felt this was the case. She'd come to Jump in search of rising horrors. And last year at this time been within sight of said horrors. But after Halloween they had eluded her. She'd come to understand that this Halloween was a festival day in California. It had magical significance. People dressed up and made uproar in an effort to drive off lingering evil spirits (a purpose much like her tiki mask). It was a wise policy. Or would have been, had not the majority of the populous believed the true purpose of Halloween to be candies.
Admittedly their idea of the festival was not bad either.
Munching of a bag of confectionary, Kiara sat on a rooftop looking at the proceedings in the streets below. There were similarities to the Spanish 'Day of the Dead' ceremonies. Except this Halloween lacked colour and vibrancy. It was a more dour affair. Furthermore the Spaniard festival was about celebrating the dead, not driving them off. Perhaps this was the healthier attitude. Kiara's dad, and by extension her, believed evil spirits roamed the Earth after death. She would hate it too if people were continuously driving her away like a flock of ravens in a field.
Yet a question remained. If this was a ritual designed specifically to dispose of phantoms, then why were so many bad things happening? Kiara had not the education to know of Sabbats. That it was their prevalence which made Halloween necessary. Her only knowledge was inclination and gut instinct. So it was that she used that talent now.
"Where do ghosts go when they're scared?" They must be somewhere. And somewhere that the loud people with their terrible masks couldn't reach them. Benighted felt the right thing to do was the figure this out.
Her initial thought was to check the shrines. But the closest thing she'd seen of that in California was the graveyards. And they were so neglected that she doubted they constituted a safe haven. They were not treated with sanctity and there were no offerings left for the dead. People here did not honour the deceased passed a funeral. But then she remembered the outskirts of the city. On those dangerous stretches of road that caused many an accident. There were flowers there. Not just flowers but wreathes, plaques, reminders to all who passed what had happened. These lonely spots were also far away from the current festivities.
It was a good lead. Kiara flew down from her rooftop and headed out the city.
What happened next was unexpected. In following the road she'd put herself in the middle of traffic when her powers stopped working. Kiara fell ten feet onto the tarmac surface, rolling to a stop. The vehicles around her swerved to avoid her, one coming to collide with a lamppost. Dazed and confused, some pedestrians helped her to her feet as she held her bloodied arm. They were asking her what had happened but she ignored them.
It was starting again. Something wicked was taking place on Halloween. She had to keep moving.

| Amber was at home this Halloween night. Her mother was at a social gathering with her friends, but Amber wasn't popular enough to get invited to any Halloween parties. She sighed, none of her very few friends being available to talk. Then, there was a crash from outside. Amber went out to investigate, making sure to throw some clothes on. Last time something like this happened, she ran out in her underwear. She saw some weirdly dressed girl that was injured, as well as a car that had crashed.
Being the nice person she was, Amber's first instinct wasn't to ask questions, just to read the weird girl's mind. But, something funny happened. Instead of entering the girl's mind, she accidentally activated Kiara's power of levitation to suddenly shoot up several metres into the air.

| Gluttony was walking out of her new place of employment. The maid uniform she had on right now was cute enough to be a Halloween costume. It was time to go get candy!! The girl grinned and started to teleport, but couldn't. She pouted and tried again, this time she felt like someone had just punched a hole through her chest. The girl gasped and fell to her knees, looking down to check for injuries. When she didn't see any, she actually pouted. It felt like their was a empty space in her gut. She actually felt... hungry. Not just her normal hunger for any food that passes her way, but, actual hunger. All her centuries of malnutrition felt like they were coming back ten fold and she crumbled under the weight of her burdens. It was difficult to breathe and she honestly thought that today was her expiration date.
However, just as quickly as it had started, it ended. She still felt empty and definitely needed some food, but it was now manageable. The girl sighed and went to teleport to her favorite restaurant, but still couldn't. Instead, her feet lifted off the ground. She blinked. "That'll still get me there, I guess..." She started to make her way through the air, wobbling as she tried to get the hang of it.
