The Perfect Plan?

(Open to Lance, others can PM for permission to join)


Aphrodite laughed about her perfect plan as she shopped for a new pair of shoes. She had always relied on controlling the police or teen titans that came to arrest her for her crimes. This time, though, she had hostages.

Two men, both armed with hidden side-arms, walked beside her. They were under her control, and would serve as her body guards. If the Titans showed up, they would have to fight the two men. In a worst-case scenario, she could have the two men threaten to shoot themselves in the head. This hostage plan was perfect.

Grace had been following the villainess for a few minutes. She had been able to sence with her spiritual awareness that the woman was controlling the men who walked with her. She had called for help from the Titans East with her communicator, hoping for backup.

Right now, she was hiding behind a row of jeans on sale, peaking over to spy on the evil woman.

Seeing the oppertunity made my Lance's genius distraction, Grace hurled an ice projectile at Aphrodite's head. Unfortunately, the other guard saw it coming and blocked the ice with his hand. Frustrated, Grace ran out from behind her cover and charged Aphrodite with ice blades already out.

Aphrodite, realizing that the black-haired girl was attacking her, bent down to look Lance in the eye. She didn't know this young man, but she felt more than comfortable taking complete control of his mind.

"Oh, I forgive you," Aphrodite said. "Now take out that girl." She was using her mind control powers on him much more than the other two, because they were already well under her influence.

The lady looked into Lance's eyes and at first he didn't know what she was doing and then.. nothing. Lance was put under the control of Aphrodite. Lance, under the control of the woman, does as she says and pulls out his sword from its sheath. He goes straight at Grace sword ready for attack.

OT: I'm sorry, I messed up for a second.

Grace saw the evil woman stare Lance in the eyes. Suddenly, Lance didn't seem to be himself. As he ran towards Grace with his sword out, she realized what was up.

She made an ice bullet, a really dull one, and projected it at Lance, hoping to knock him off his feet.

Grace was impressed by the fact that Lance had been able to block her bullet. Her opinion of him went up.

Half a second later, she realized that she needed to defend herself. She lifted her right ice blade and parryed Lance's sword just enough to make it miss her. Grace didn't want to hurt Lance, but she needed to snap him out of this trance.

Making a glove of ice around her fist, she tried to punch Lance in the face.

Grace's fist was shot back as Lance's punch overpowered her own.

That hurt. She backed away from Lance to rethink her approach. She was not powerful enough to beat him without injuring him. He might even win this fight.

Grace defensively covered the floor with ice, hoping that it would make Lance slip and fall. She could feel the struggle within Lance. That telepath had full control of his mind. She could feel all of this, but could she do anything about it? She imagined herself reaching out to his spirit. "Come on, Lance."

Aphrodite was pleased that her victim had been a Titan all along. She smiled, enjoying the fight.

A crowd was forming, so she summoned her two armed guards and walked away to avoid suspicion. She did, however, keep a firm grip of control on the male Titan.

Grace noticed that Aprhodite was leaving the area. Maybe her control of Lance would end if she lost concentration. He didn't seem to be attacking now anyway.

Grace left Lance on the ice and ran to where Aphrodite was fleeing. She found herself able to sence the direction that the villainess had disappeared to. Wierd. Prepping 3 ice bullets, Grace turned the corner and was suprised to see her two guards holding guns to their own heads.

"Careful," said Aphrodite. "If you take another step, they will kill themselves."

Grace heard the earth moving, and looked to the side to see Lance running at her at full speed.

Looks like this fight isn't over. Grace formed a heavy suit of ice armor around herself as Lance came closer. This wasn't going to be pleasent.

Lance's sword bashed Grace's armor almost all the way in. Apparently, her armor wasn't as strong as she had thought.

What was she supposed to do?

Going with the momentum of the hit from Lance, Grace did a back-flip and aimed a kick at the back of Lance's head.
