Not in Kansas Anymore (Open)

Yes, Jump City, home to the brave and weirdos... and the occasional giant fire breathing monsters. Despite trying to stop it from going near civilians, Garnet got tackled in front of the Jump City airport by a 15 foot tall monster that resembled a lava rock. It's back and head was spewing fire and the rest of its body was red hot from the amount of heat it was putting out. Luckily Garnet was fire resistant, or else it would really suck.

Punching three fingers off, the monster growled in pain and picked up a near by empty car, throwing it towards the airport. The Titan gasped and smashed her gauntlets against the ground, making the ground shoot up so that the car would hit mid air concrete instead of glass windows. Seeing how the Titan was somewhat distracted, the monster smashed it's hand into the ground, making Garnet roll over so that it barely missed her. It's fist was deep in the concrete, stuck even, which she took advantage of by grabbing it and throwing it other her head, landing in an empty part of the parking lot. Most of the people have cleared out by now, but she couldn't help but worry, especially when she saw some random person standing there. "You should really get out of here before things get worse." Garnet told the stranger, waiting for the fire monster to get up before she attacked it again.

The person she told to run away just gave her a sassy remark, making Garnet raise all three eyebrows. That was some cocky stranger, but she didn't care enough to let it bother her, whereas some people might have. Instead the Titan jumped across the parking lot and smashed directly into the monsters feet, ripping it clean off its body and landing in the parking lot. Landing, Garnet saw the monster's arm leak lava which just turned into the coal it was before... it can re grow limbs!? Greeattttt.
Thinking of this the Titan was momentarily distracted which cost her a fist to the face, sending her flying next to the kid from earlier. She landed deep in the concrete, which she groaned as she pulled herself out. Garnet put her hands on her hips as the guy threw a car and hit the monster in the head, putting a nice dent in it's face. "No matter what I do it just re grows its limbs, we have to find a way to cool down its temperature so the lava doesn't pour out when we rip off its body part." She explained to him, watching as the monster ever so slowly trudged towards the two. There had to be a fire hydrant over here... or maybe they could lead it to the ocean...

'You know she'd want you to keep helping people.'
'Blah blah blah, words words words, pew twang pew!'
'Are you mocking me?'

The voices in Fen's head seldom seemed to silence. He was starting to doubt he was actually crazy, and that it was some side effect of his powers. He'd been appreciating their chatter, really. They kept him from thinking. Remembering. Hopefully this would help too.
He wasn't going in blind this time. The smell of burning caught his nose a long time ago. He'd packed a bag with some extra clothes in it, and safely put his necklace and other important belongings in it. It'd been about a minute, but he was done mourning. It was time for Fen to play hero again.

He left the bag by the fence of the airport before he let the beast take over. The transformation only took a few seconds. Then the werewolf moved with grace across the runway. He noticed the two others seeming to be forming a plan, but wasn't entirely sure how he could help. The phrase 'JUST KEEP HIM DISTRACTED OR SOMETHING!' rang out and Fenrir figured if he couldn't communicate he could at least take orders.

So the wolf sprinted ahead of the pair.
'Let's HUNT!'
With that thought, Fen pounced on the giant creature. His claws tore into it's stoney flesh but the red hot of flame bit at its fur. Despite Fen expecting the wound to heal, it did not. He let out a rough howl of pain as the fire spread up his arm. He dodged the next blows deftly, and spotted a truck filled with what he hoped was water. He pounced that next, and plunged his fist into it. There was a hiss as the flames ceased and the water started to spray.

If he was in his right mind, he'd probably know to use the water as a weapon. But the beast was hard to control. So he settled for distracting the beast by running around it.

The guy ran off, leaving Garnet to distract the monster a little bit longer before he returned with a giant yellow vehicle. She wasn't quite sure what he wanted until a random wolf attacked it and made water spray out everywhere. The Titan was.. confused... should she attack it? What was it doing here? But it seemed to prove itself by running around and momentarily distracting the monster. The bit of water that did get on it almost... dulled the monster? Like the fire beneath it's rocks were suddenly a lot less red and a lot less hot, it seemed like the water was working! But... they would need a lot more water than that.
Thinking of this, Garnet looked up at the boy from earlier, still in the truck. "The ocean is just across this plane yard, I'm going to move the planes while you spray the monster. The monster wants to destroy the truck so as long as you back up and move towards the ocean, while spraying at it, it should follow you." Garnet explained her plan, jumping over to the wolf as she finished. "You need to make sure the monster stays focused on the truck! Try to keep it from destroying as many things as possible!" The Titan yelled out to the wolf, hoping it would hear her.

Finally, she jumped through the giant fence, ripping it down, and begun pushing plans out of the way. Luckily the airport was almost completely evacuated now, so they just had to stop property damage.

Fenrir heard the plan, and thought it sounded about as good as any plan they could make would. The wolf chased after the truck and the monster. Every once in a while lunging in the air to knock a blow from the flaming hands off course. Obviously, touching the monster was less than ideal for the Wolf, as it left it's grey fur in flames. Fen didn't really care much. It only hurt, he didn't expect it to kill him. In fact, he wasn't sure anything really could.

This went on for a while, until the firetruck made it to the ocean and went for a swim. The monster, however, hesitated. It seemed to know it's weakness and not feel like jumping right into it.

That's also when Fen started to notice his vision darkening. What was this? He wasn't dying, was he?
Disregarding the worry, Fen pounced on the monster. He used his claws to climb the beast, the wolfs strength enough to stagger it backwards. The fire on his fur spread, but he clasped both hands together and gave the fire monster a few solid blows to the face. It staggered until it's foot hit a boulder and the thing tripped backwards. Both the werewolf and the fight giant were sent tumbling into the ocean. They were both on fire too!

The fire was extinguished on his fur, but the wolf was facing a new problem now. His vision was darkening from the pain, and there was a giant monster above him and he couldn't quite wiggle his way out from under it. It seemed he saved himself from fire only to drown. How heroic.

Just as planned the monster followed the truck all the way to the ocean, hesitating as soon as it got to the water. It seemed to know it's own weakness and didn't want to be involved, which made sense of course. The wolf from earlier wasn't having it though, it attacked the monster and slashed it's face, only to catch on fire and fall into the ocean with it. Garnet jumped into the ocean and punched a huge hole in the monster to grab the wolf, pulling him to the surface as she did so. She wasn't going to let it.. .die... it was helping them, even if it was quite foolish.
Setting the wolf on the shore, Garnet put both hands on her hips and looked at the boy from earlier. "Thank you for helping, both of you, this service does not go unnoticed-" Garnet began, only to be interrupted by the monster yelling... of course.

It was struggling to get up the hole in it's arm, but unlike before it was regenerating. So the water stopped it from regenerating... that's good to know, but how were they going to stop it once and for all? The wolf was down and they needed to keep it in the ocean.

After the werewolf was saved from drowning, it laid limp on the ground for almost a minute before life returned to it the same time that the monster roared again. The wolf sputtered out mouthfuls of the gross salt water, feeling sick to it's stomach. It rolled over on all fours and heaved up more water. When it settled, it's insides had mostly healed. Fen wasn't an expert, but he was sure that he'd had internal damage during the drowning. Is that how drowning worked? Or maybe it was the fire.

Either way, the wolf recovered in time to see the one boy launch Garnet towards the monsters face. "Arg..." It growled out, almost confused. Then like a dog after a Frisbee it started running towards the flying gem. It launched itself full strength at the monster. This was the new plan, it assumed.

'Lavish the kill!'
Wolf roared in Fen's head, but the monster wasn't so foolish. It saw the two coming at him and reacted, swatting Fen backwards. The werewolf soared back the way it came, hitting the ground hard and sliding quickly towards the boy, who would hopefully be able to get out of the way.

The boy from earlier was beginning to say something about wolf CPR, only to be interrupted by the horrible screeches the monster was letting out. He seemed thoroughly annoyed, but Garnet was crouched by the wolf to make sure it was okay. It coughed up a lot of water and still was kicking, that was surprising to see, at this point she wouldn't be surprised if it was a werewolf. She was about to ask if it was okay, but the wolf took off and attacked the monster, making the gem gravitate towards the boy from earlier to see if he had a plan.
He seemed annoyed as he grabbed her arm, but all she did was shake her head, she gave the same signals to her team members if she was going to throw them. Surprisingly, he threw hard, hard enough that after the beast was distracted by the wolf, he didn't see Garnet coming. The Titan was able to crash through its face with ease.

Garnet landed in the water and sunk to the bottom, watching as the monster crashed and seemingly died for the last time. It's entire face was just chunks of rock here and there, there was no way it was coming back now. With this in mind, the Gem walked all the way back to shore, looking at the two to see if they were okay. "Thank you, both of you, this was very much appreciated and won't go unnoticed." She told them, putting her hands on her hips. "I am Garnet, a protector of Jump City. Usually my team goes out for pizza afterwards, so how about I treat you two to some?" Garnet offered in a monotone voice.

The wolf pressed it's paw to the ground after about a minute, trying to get up but his bones were shakey. Everything seemed to hurt still, but he was still feeling his body heal on it's own. The one with the strange haircut offered to take them out to pizza, and the wolf just stared blankly at her. He couldn't exactly get pizza like this... so instead the beast huffed, and started trudging back towards the fence where he'd left his bag.
If they followed, they'd see him grab the bag with his teeth before huffing at the to look away. The worst part about these transformations was the changing back part.

Using the truck for cover, Fenrir transformed back into his human form. He quickly got dressed, then stepped out as he buttoned his shirt. If they were searching for words to describe the boy, tired would probably come up really fast. His knees shook and he had dark circles under his eyes.
'Run, run, chase, chase!'
Lamb tried to take a shot back at Wolf for mocking it earlier, but the response was less than desired.
'You get it now!'

Fen could almost hear the Lamb facepalm as he made his way back to the group of heroes. "I could go for some pizza."
The introduction seemed to lack his usual excitement and friendliness. In fact, every thing he did seemed to lack that. Maybe he was depressed? He shrugged at the thought. He'd never been before, so he would have no idea.
