Canons (Site Mandatory)

I'm going to keep this pretty simple. Due to the apparent lack of interest in a canon character, we are considering making the slot dually functional as another character slot. We've had a lot of discussion on it already, but we've decided that we should see what you guys want, since, well, that's what it's all about.

So vote yes or no, if you wish to voice your opinion of why yes or no, it helps us.

I'll go ahead with and explain the simple reason why I think we should have it. Little Timmy and Jimmy are looking at a character slot. Timmy is perfectly happy with 3, but Jimmy is dying for number 4. However, Timmy doesn't HAVE to use the fourth slot. It doesn't put him at any disadvantage. It only makes Jimmy and players like him happy, so I've voted yes.

I say no because like you said it requires a certain skill to pull, if I say made Poision Ivy as my second character I doubt I would pull it off very because I would need to understand how she thinks and desire. With OC I can make characters without worrying making it OOC.

Yes, but this is a slot that requires you to have 750 posts before even trying it, and we have to approve your canon character through a playtest. Not to mention that's not what this is asking. The canon slot is staying. What we're asking here is if you would like it to be able to be an OC slot as well.

Oh so your saying making the Canon Character its own OC slot?

If this change goes through, here's what your slots look like.

-OC as of joining the site
-OC as of 100 posts
-OC as of one character arc reviewed my the moderators
-B-team / HIVE (Low-powered OC)
-Canon / OC as of 750 posts

Though I'd make the fourth OC available after 1000 posts, personally.

Ah okay I'm beginning to understand now, but how exactly will this raise people interests?

To put it simply Mimir, some people just simply don't want to play a canon. At all. They'd rather make their own character, so why should we disallow this milestone for them after being active all the way to 750 posts? Just my view, personally.

I voted yes. If someone has dedicated enough time to be at 750 or even 1000 if it comes to that, then I think they deserve the choice bergen a Canon or another OC. Let the creativity flow~
