A haunting we will go! (Energy)

(Starting at the HIVE academy)

Samantha looked around at the halls of the HIVE academy as she roamed from her dorm. It seemed like as soon as the grand opening decorations were taken down, they were replaced by Halloween decorations the students put up. Where did they get all of that from anyway? They probably bought it using money they got from heists, didn't they? Show offs...cashing in already. Not like she had any use for money anyway...but she didn't like people that had more than her and bought things that she wanted but couldn't afford. And she didn't have any money at all, so that was a lot of people she didn't like. Lousy, stinking, no-good, rich everybody. They wouldn't laugh at their richness if they had their heads blown off. But killing students was frowned upon, so she'd have to deal with it. Still, she'd shoot any laughing people an envious glare for the next ten minutes.

Looking at her notes again to help her find her way, the little powder keg found her way to her assigned dorm. Seemed she'd be sharing one with someone called Harpy. That sounded alright, birds didn't usually have money. Unless they were penguins...spending all their liver flipping money on fancy tuxedos... She'd never gotten a tuxedo! How dare they be richer than her!

Finally, Samantha knocked and opened the door a crack before poking her head inside. "Hello? Mister chicken man?"

Harpy was smiling she was excited, Halloween was her favorite holiday. You got to dress up and now you could even throw in those good money savers on props by just cutting up and using real body parts. Though it was still fun to make them yourself. Harpy rubbed her chin as she shook her head pointing to the other part of the ceiling.

"No over there looked better for the faces rather than the hands." She said as a large mass amount of crows flew up their own latex made masks of realistic looking faces onto small hooks that were dulled to avoid puncturing the faces and they all hung up the masks she brought from home. She looked to the different kinds of hands and the crows flew down to pick them up as the voice of a little girl rang in as the door opened.

"That's Miss Chicken Man to you and yes what is it?" She asked not looking over as she looked over to some lose clips that some crows opened with their talons as the others hung up the hands with the clips that were made lose enough to not damage the hands but tight enough to hold them up.

Samantha looked around, seeing that her roommate and her crows had already decorated this room as well. Wait, crows? Crows weren't penguins...nor did they seem that rich. This could turn out to be okay after all. She came in all the way and closed the door. "My name's Samantha. I heard I'd be sharing a room with someone named Harpy. I guess that's you, so hi." Stepping in farther, Samantha admired the decor. "Looks like it's as fancy in here as it is everywhere else. Where do you guys get the time to do all this stuff?" Walking closer, she stared up at Harpy's masks that were being hung. "Are those faces real?"

Harpy nodded and turned on her heels as some birds landed on her head. "Yep Go ahead and call me Harpy or any other name that involves birds, and I left that half of the room untouched for you." She said gesturing to it with her thumb. She blinked looking to the faces and hands then looked to Samantha. "Oh those? Nah I made all of those, I wear different ones all the time to hide who I am."

There were multiple male ones. "I'm even wearing one now." She took one down and held it to Samantha so she could see the inside of it that was clearly not skin. "I can easily get and use real ones but those decay too fast and start to smell ruining the illusion. But yeah this is my stash that I use the most, I didn't just make them due to the month." She explained.

Samantha took the mask, examining it and looking it over.  "You made them yourself?  And they're not real?  How did you get them to look real?"    She would look over the mask thoroughly before handing it back and listening to Harpy's explanation.  "That's really neat that you can make stuff like that.  And thank for leaving my side for me to decorate, but honestly I don't know what to do with it.  I'm not a good decorator, so you can do my side to if you want.  Still, I should probably try to do something, so I will; but you can only do so much when you're as short as me."  

She nodded letting her look it over "Yeah I make these kinds of things all the time, and its hard to sum it up in a small explanation and would probably wouldn't have to walk you through it and you would still might not know how but it takes a very long time and a lot of effort but through years of practice I have nearly profected my skills at it."

She took it back and held it up and one of the crows picked it up and re hung it back up. "Yeah it's a lot of fun too, I made a realistic hand and fingers and made the latest Titan leader freak out due to thinking it was his sisters. Thanks to me he now cringes at the sight of birds." Se said with a proud smile.

"Well to be honest this isn't decorations, due to not wanting to waste money on fancy manikin heads I just buy cheap hooks and clips and loosen them up and dull them out to hang my stuff up to also allow more room to work on my current projects. So basically that's just my normal stuff I have up cause its sorta like clothes for me with how much I wear them."

"It's just more efficient to hand them up. Besides I already finished decorating for Halloween about a week or so ago. If you hear of the dead house that was a house covered in dead bodies that were dressed up as heroes from the past year, that was me." She said smiling. She loved that there was a place where no one still didn't know who she was but killing and doing psychotic things were not only normal but awarded.

Which meant she had people she could share her messed up doings with and most likely have them have the same excitement as she did about them along with share their own stories. "And there's many ways around shortness, I wasn't always this height you know, I used to be super short too but i got around it by climbing on things and using my crows to get me things. You basically just have to use what ever resources you have to your advantage."

So the masks were legit, and quite hard to make by the sound of it.  They weren't even decoration either, that's just how she stored them.  "...the fact that those masks aren't even decorations makes them 20% cooler.  It's a shame they aren't real; but you're right, I guess those wouldn't last.  And I'm not too upset about being small.  Comes in handy for hiding and stuff."  She walked back and jumped up to sit on her bed.  "I just arrived in Jump not too long ago, so I don't have any luggage like cool masks to move in.  In fact, I don't have anything at all; not even money.  I was surprised they let me into the academy, but I suppose they're expecting me to get money from what I learn here.  Guess I'll have to to pay them back, at least."  

She swung her legs forward in backwards in opposite synchronization.  "So what classes are you going to take?  I'll be in assasinations with Blake; and I'll especially be going to mind games with Lilith~"

She smiled when she heard that Samantha thought they were 20% cooler since they weren't even for decoration. And that she understood the reasoning behind why she wouldn't use real faces. "Well I can tell that were going to get along then." She said as her crows finished and she held out her arms then brought them in her crows vanishing as she sat down on her own bed. Harpy smiled

"No one had to pay to get in they just have to participate in school and show promise. Just by participating in school 'sports' can get us and the school a bunch of money so everyone wins. I even herd that higher up grade students get paid money every week for just doing well in school! So basically if we're lucky we wont be broke for long cause I'm sorta just feeding off money my parents give me that based on what I do on a daily basis is running out faster now.

"All of them if I can manage it, I want to take as much as I can to learn the most that I can. I want to be one of the most fucked up villains out there and learning all I can will help that. That and being able to stare at Lilith all class really is a nice thought and really motivates me to pay attention In class because a girl with a body like her deserves everyone's eyes and ears to pay attention to them." She said with a smile.

Samantha listened to Harpy as she sat, her face lighting up with a smile when she mentioned staring at Lilith her entire class.  "I know, right?!  Where did they find someone like her?  I am DEFINITELY going to her class too; oh and playing with people using mind games sounds like fun too; something I'd be good at and kind of already do a bit.  I think I'll go to every class except the paranormal ones.  I don't think I'd learn much from those."

"And I know I did't have to pay anything to be here, but they're still going to want me to turn them a profit.  Thing is, I never was interested in getting money; so learning to steal might be challenging for me, and working to where we actually might get paid will take time."  

Harpy smiled brightly talking to the assumed little kid about the teacher like they were talking about a hot teacher in high school and that samantha wasn't a kid since Harpy knew better, just like she can easily look like an old woman this girl probably could easily look like a little girl. "I dunno but they really chose good looking teachers~"

"Blake with that lovely looking skin and body that could kill you in an instant so she is not to be messed with and definitely could make it rain blood everywhere if she wanted to with out anyone know it was her~ Nina and her hair~ dang that girl has some great hair. And then there's Lilith who has perfect everything. Oh and you also have the guys who are" she tried to think of something nice to say. "Not ugly?"

She shrugged but nodded "Yeah mind games are super fun! I hope to learn some new ideas from her so the next time I mess with a titan its not the same old same old ideas. It's one thing to be evil, it's another thing to be uncreative and boring." She said looking grossed out by the idea clearly thinking that being uncreative and boring was way worse than killing people. She then smiled brightly.

"Me too were so gonna have to swap ideas tome time or like team up!" she then smirked "so you're a paranormal expert huuuh?" She then nodded a bit "Yeah they definitely are probably expecting profit like most 'villains' these days. Like this meme I saw on this one form once said that I direct to just about all villains these days."

She closed her eyes and held a finger to the air limply. "Your villain motives are bad, and you should feel bad." she smiled and opened her eyes. "Most villains these days are in it just for money and their motives are uncrative but me I do it for the run of it and to mess with heroes and people. And the fact you aren't in it for money definitely helps prove that were gonna get along just fine.

Samantha raised a finger with she called the boys not ugly.  "Hey!  Don't be sexist!  The guys are just as pretty as the girls are; just in their own special way..."

"No, I'm not a paranormal expert; I just don't think I'll get anything out of the class.  You'll have to tell me what you learn the first few days or so; I might change my mind.  You can still change your mind in the first week, right?"

Samantha listened as Harpy recited her meme.  "Nothing personal, but that's the worst insult I've ever heard.  I can think of lots better ways to tell people they're terrible at everything they do in life."
"But yes, the fun of causing chaos and messing with people is worth way more to me than the money is."  She paused for a bit.  "Speaking of which...It's Halloween isn't it?  You wanna go tricking and treating?  I've already got a costume in mind and everything!"  She seemed quite excited for the idea.

Harpy blinked at the sexist comment and bursted into laughter shaking her head. "nonono I wasn't being sexist, I'm a lesbian, so as is guys aren't really attractive to me, besides when it comes down to it personalities can really make it or break it for me cause people look more and more unattractive to me the ruder they are and vice versa and well as the teachers go"

"Horrace is like neutral meh and greed is like the most repulsive thing I've ever seen him being one of the rudest guys I've encountered lately. Also I don't really think calling the guy teachers not ugly is a sexist comment its just my own personal preference on how they look." She said with a shrug. "Yeah sure thing and you can learn a lot and could use a lot since many paranormal beings are showing up more in jump and yeah i think you can change within that time, i think you can even just swap classes as much as you want as long as you keep doing well in school and actively attend classes."

She shrugged "None taken I didn't come up with it at all an admin on the forum I was on did besides I was just using it as an example. She smiled and nodded "yeah sure thing I was already planning on going out, I have a scarecrow costume I made, U was planing on wearing the hood and mask of it along with a dress for homecoming and the whole thing for halloween. if you tell me what your idea is I can make it for you if you want."

Samantha grinned wide when Harpy offered to make her costume. "No thanks, I've already got it. In fact I'm wearing it right now; but what it is is a surprise. I won't tell you what it is, but if we go trick-or-treating and you get someone to ask, I'll tell them. Should be fun!"

She smirked "Well then I'll go get out of this costume and into my other one then so we can get going." She said getting up and grabbing a scarecrow costume that looked super realistic and grabbed down another face mask to swap out her current one and started to leave the room.

Samantha grinned wide and sat patiently on the bed as she waited, kicking her legs back and forth. This was going to be a lot of fun. While she waited, she got up and search around for something to use as trick or treat bags. Eventually she found some paper bags and got those ready. Actually, she'd never gone trick-or-treating before. This would be her first time.
