First Responder (Pika)

There was talks on the news of a new gang in Jump, it seemed they came from Gotham. They dressed as clowns and ambushed stores, mugged people, and caused general destruction. Suzuki had seen reports on the televisions in shop windows. They were hard to catch because as soon as they struck they seemed to scatter, losing their masks and disappearing. Until now.

"It wasn't even that fun." Suzuki mumbled, dropping a battered thug to the ground. She happened to be in the area when they tried another flash attack. They had at least 20 people, but Suzuki made short work of them. Now their battered and beaten bodies were littered across the street next to the park. They only managed to break one car window.

Now all Suzuki had to do was wait to see if there were going to be any responders. The men needed medical attention, at least.

Meta had missed the new clown gang quite a few times. On the past few patrols, he had heard that they had attacked and had raced to the scene of the crime only to find that they had all disappeared. To put it lightly, he had been fairly disgruntled, as you could probably figure out by the fact that he had to get more punching bags to replace all the ones he destroyed while working out.

Needless to say, he was really motivated to take out this gang, so when he heard about an attack that was super close by he started running over, only to find out that everyone had been taken out when he got there. Meta looked at the pile of beaten bodies and then to the last one standing, a girl. A thug would slowly get to his feet behind the girl's back, if the girl was aware of this then she would also know that Meta was right behind the thug.

The thug would curse loudly and aim his gun, only to get kicked in the leg so that he lost his balance, then put in a chokehold from behind. He would struggle and try to escape, but for a guy like him, escaping Meta would be like escaping from a shark's mouth. Meta would start applying pressure so that it really hurt Where does your gang operate from!?! depending on the thug's response, Meta might let him go.

Suzuki had known that the man was not unconscious. She could tell by the way his body hit the ground and his muscles tensed slightly at the impact that he was still aware enough to prepare himself. When she turned around to look at the man though, she was surprised to see someone standing behind him already. "Hn."

As she sized the man up, she noticed a few things. He didn't identify himself as police. That wasn't strange, considering this city ran more on Enforcers and Titans than police. He also didn't identify as either of those. Maybe he was a member of a rival gang? Interesting. Suzuki took a moment to draw her sword, and if the man looked at her he'd see another copy of Suzuki step out from behind her and do the same. The metal of her gauntlets and her sword flickered in the moonlight, though the sword was dotted with bloodstains.

"Identify yourself." She ordered the man holding the hostage. The pathetic thug was rambling on about how chaos was order and the clown prince would return. Nonsense.

The thug did not seem in the mood to be helpful, he just spouted some bull about chaos and the return of the clown prince, none of which Meta cared about. He let the man go, but then shoved him to the ground and pinned him down with his foot. But he then noticed the girl who beat up all the men draw her sword and glare intimidatingly at him, asking him to identify himself.

Meta took out his Titans communicator and showed it Metamorphi, Titan he looked down at his hostage and started applying pressure on his spine with his foot, making him grimace in pain, Meta would then turn to steel so that even more pressure would be added on by the extra weight Do you feel like talking about something other than the Crown Prince now!?! Like, maybe information on your gang's hideout and how many more people there are!?!

Suzuki actually smirked after the man introduced himself, and got to work on the interrogation. "I like the way you do business, Metamorphi. I'm Suzuki Uchiha. Blessed by the Gods."

The introduction sounded vain, but it was true and earnest. The old Gods had blessed her. She crouched over the man that was writhing under Meta's foot, trying to gasp for air. She ignored that the man was clearly looking up her skirt. "This doesn't have to be unpleasant. If you give us answers, things could end rather nicely for you."

That was what seemed to make the man falter. He immediately started to spout about a safe house in the sewers that they all met in and they received orders from their leader there. Their leader helped them avoid the Titans, but they didn't know Suzuki would be there.

"That wasn't so hard. Now you don't have to get a broken spine."

The girl introduced herself as Suzuki Uchiha, kind of an odd name, but with a name like Metamorphi he supposed that he of all people couldn't judge someone on their name. Meta applied a slight amount more pressure when he noticed that he was looking up her skirt, he was a gentleman like that. When Suzuki said that things would get 'nicer' for him if he gave the information, he seemed particularly motivated, Meta had a feeling it wasn't his interrogation methods that were doing the trick.

The dirtbag told them about their secret base in the sewers and about their leader Let me guess, he's wearing makeup and has stupid green dyed hair? he then released pressure on the spine, returning to normal and knocking the thug out by stomping on his head. He then looked up at Suzuki So, should we check this place out on our own or should we call some enforcers? Meta didn't want to rely on enforcers, but she was the one who did all the work, she should decide their next action.

With their last witness finally unconscious, Suzuki grabbed a phone from his pocket and dialed 911 quickly. A quick conversation with the cops would be enough for them to send down a bunch of cars to pick up the trash. Then she looked to Titus with a scowl.

"Do you think we need help? I took down these ones by myself. Ten ants, or a thousand ants. I'll crush them all." She sounded very nonchalant about the whole thing, using her sword to rip open the sewer grate. "Ladies first."

This was a challenge to Meta, as she stood, waiting for him to venture down first. Ladies first, after all.

Meta waited for Suzuki to be done arranging for these thugs to get locked away, she then started talking about how they didn't need help to take out the thugs, comparing them all to ants, Meta just rolled his eyes Still, you need someone to chronicle the tale of your epic victory, so I better tag along. she would then open up an entrance and challenge Meta by saying "Ladies first" Alright, I'm waiting on you

Suzuki cracked a half smile at the mans comments. She liked him. He was funny. Then she jumped down the sewer, landing gracefully on the bottom where she was met with a putrid smell. "Yuck..."

She didn't give herself time to embrace the smell, instead scanning around for any movement. "They could be anywhere in these sewers..." She said, starting to walk forward after waiting for Meta to come down. With her eyes though, she immediately noticed faint footprints on the ground that were nearly impossible to make out in this light. They were running to the ladder they just came down. "Those thugs came from this direction."

Meta noticed the girl smile at his comments, but he kept a poker face for a few seconds until she disappeared down into the sewer, then he let himself grin, he didn't want to seem unprofessional in front of another hero. Meta would then follow in after the girl, the putrid smell immediately hitting him, Meta could barely see any clues in this dark, but Suzuki saw something apparently and was able to figure out where they came from, Meta just nodded and would follow Suzuki.

It wasn't long before the two could hear voices in the distance. "They're still not back yet? Those fools probably didn't follow the plan! THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" The person was mad. That was clear. Suzuki didn't care much though. The voices were coming from a cove, cut into the sewer walls. They'd even built their own hideout. Inside there was at least 40 thugs with the clown attire and a knock off Joker cosplay standing on a stage cursing.

"I suppose you can help me then, Meta. At least that way this won't take so long." Drawing her sword again, Suzuki didn't wait for a reply to dash in. With her eyes it was like the men were moving in slow motion and her reactions were perfect. She didn't kill outright, but she maimed many of them with her blade. The fight was not in her favor though. The room was small, giving her little room to kite her enemies, and they were arming themselves with pipes and switchblades. There were a lot of them. To Meta, it might look like if things kept going the way they were, she was going to be overwhelmed soon though. To her, she just thought she might have to use some of her powers.

"This isn't a public show! Get that brat!"

Meta followed Suzuki through the sewer tunnels to the gangs base, they were a loud bunch, he could hear them long before he could see them. Soon they would come into the base of the gang, where Suzuki would draw her sword, Meta punched his palm and cracked his neck, trying to act as intimidating as he could despite having no weapons to use.

As Suzuki went to work on the thugs, Meta couldn't help but admire her skills with the sword, she was very good, but at the rate this was going being very good wouldn't be enough, she was sure to get overpowered soon. Meta jumped in to help, turning into steel so that any blades would just break against his skin and any blows from pipes would just bounce off of him, or bend.

Although, the thugs were starting to realise that instead of overpowering Meta they should try and restrain him. Meta was still able to effectively counter the attacks, but Meta was starting to think that unless Suzuki had something up her sleeve, the two of them would have to retreat Suzuki! If you have a plan, now's the time for it! he elbowed a thug in the nose as he yelled.

Though the situation was tense and dangerous, Suzuki kept her head. She wouldn't lose her cool in a situation like this. As she parried a blow from a pipe, two men flanked her. It looked like it'd be impossible to dodge the knife aiming for her spine, so... "Susano'o."

For a moment it was quiet, the knife stopped a few inches before it would have paralyzed Suzuki. The purple glowing rib cage protected her, and slowly a giant skeletal arm came out of the rib cage, swiping the two behind her and sending them flying into the wall. Suzuki made eye contact with the leader and suddenly, he snapped as much as the original Joker. He started attacking his own men, rambling on about how she couldn't hide from him.

The betrayal of their leader seemed to shake the entire gang. They started trying to escape, but Suzuki and her Susano'o blocked the entrance. She continued to flick any stragglers away, not letting anyone escape. When there were only a few left, she dropped the Susano'o, only the subtlest increase in her breathing. This was her second fight of the night. "Can you handle the rest?"

Meta saw two thugs going at her at the same time, one of them was about to stab her in the spine for sure, Meta was going to move in to take the blow for her, but then a thug grabbed him, trying to drag him down to the ground so they could dog-pile him. Meta countered the grapple so that the thug was now on the ground and stomped on his chest. Meta turned his attention back to Suzuki but realised it was too late.

But then Suzuki formed some kind of strange purple rib cage as a protective barrier around herself which would then grow an arm, Meta stared for a moment, along with the thugs, ...so this is what she meant when she said she was blessed by the gods. Meta reacted first and backed away, letting Suzuki do her thing as the leader attacked his men and the men tried to escape and the men got their butts handed to them.

Soon there were only a few left, Suzuki deactivated whatever power she was using and asked Meta to deal with the rest Nice of you to leave some for me, I was getting bored just watching he deactivated his metal protection and started walking over casually. The thugs ran over to him, one got their first and swung a pipe, Meta dodged to the side then grabbed the outstretched arm and swung him into the path of some of the other thugs.

One of the thugs that didn't get dazed by the attack tried to stab him, but Meta grabbed the arm and pulled the thug into Meta's punch with his free hand, the thug dropped like a sandbag. The other thugs recovered and tried to rush Meta, but Meta kneed a thug in the stomach before flipping over his shoulders and sweeping a thug's leg out from under him before rising and striking a thug in the throat with his forearm. The last remaining thugs seemed nervous at how easily Meta had taken out most of their remaining number, they looked between Meta and Suzuki, but when they looked to Meta he had closed the distance between them and went to work.

Now only the leader remained, Meta stared him down and he seemed unnerved. The Titans weren't supposed to be scary, they were just supposed to be chumps that got trolled by his men. He cursed loudly and pulled out a gun, only for Meta to redirect the aim of the gun so that he didn't get shot, then disarm him in such a way that resulted in him getting flipped then knee on the back of the head for a knock-out blow. Meta stood up and looked at all the knocked out forms littered around the room I feel quite proud of this, even if I was just an assist

When Suzuki watched Meta start dealing with the thugs, she knew he had it under control. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she took a long blink to let her eyes go back to normal. It was strange, as always. Things went from such fine detail and slow motion to regular speed and movement. She went from noticing every shadow that danced on the walls to barely being able to make out which one was Meta without looking at the painted faces. She did, however, see the gun get pulled and was about to reactivate her eyes when Meta took him down easily.

"Impressive. You really do live up to the Titan's name. Tell me, Meta. What do the Titan's do after they beat up the bad guys? Do they have their own jail, or must they call the police?"

It would be convenient if they had a jail of their own. That would give Suzuki a place to put the lowlifes that she takes care of in the city. She was starting to really refine her skills and determine her limits. If she was alone here, she was sure she would have managed but... it was nice to have a trustworthy person to fall back on.

"What's it like being a Titan, anyway?"
