Toji attacked, and Kristen blocked and parried every blow with the flat of her blade. "Good, good! It looks like you still have your ability to attack quickly," the Nephilim said while parrying and blocking Toji's blows, "Now, try this!" On Toji's next palm thrust, Kristen pushed the flat of the blade against his hand for a moment before lightening the pressure and thrusting the rapier through the air beside Toji and moving with the action, ending up behind the halfling before tapping his shoulder with the flat of the blade.

"Let's work on that, the rest should come naturally. You're it." Kristen summoned her wings, taking off into the trees of the park.

Toji blinks. She...she blocked and parried him on every blow? He'd really slown down...the halfling furrows his brow as she catches his palm with the flat of her sword, flowing behind him and tapping him on the shoulder with her sword, reassuring him that it would come naturely. Wqit, who was the trainer here?!Toji looks up as his sister flys away into the leaves.Sighing, the halfling uses his sythes as a grapple, retreating the chain and shooting into a tree. He uses his weapon to carve some wood out, holding prices like throwing knives and listening closely...." Take that!" A second later, he hears enraged chittering." Oh..a squirrel...sorry..little friend."

Kristen flew through the trees at a breakneck pace, but then realized she had left Toji far behind. Circling back again, the indoctrinated found the halfling crouched up on a branch, having mistaken a squirrel for his sister. Kristen landed on a branch about twenty feet away, cyan wings billowing behind her; she was going to take off again.

"Catching innocent animals up in the middle of this, eh?" she grinned, obviously teasing a little bit, "I stick out like a sore thumb in this forest you know... bright glowing wings and all." With that, she took off again, this time going a little slower so Toji would be able to see where she was going.

Toji rubbed his stomach, thinking. Okay....is she wasn't there, where was she...Then of course Kristen reappears, having gone on ahead without his noticing. She proceeds to tease him. The halfling's mouth forms into a small smile, and he responds." Whatever you say,chicken girl." She goes on, and the halfling follows.

Kristen laughed heartily at the banter, flying through the trees while dodging and weaving branches, trunks and leaves. Eventually she circled back to where Toji was jumping through the forest, and zoomed behind him. "Who you calling chicken, sparky pup?" she laughed again, "Try to catch me, I'll prove you wrong!"

Zooming back towards the training clearing, Kristen wondered if this light-hearted take on training would ease Toji's spirits somewhat. Truly there was still work to be done, but it seemed that Toji's adrenaline needed to get pumping first.

Toji smiles as she laughs. Good...He didn't want her to be dragged down where he was..He forces a look of mock indignation onto Hus face." Sparky pup?! Looks like I'll have to get you back, hmm?" He chases her. The halfling could feel a slight...lightening, as if a few rocks had been lifted off the huge pile on his shoulders.Toji speeds up, grunting at the effort but game, and gets closer and closer." All.....most...." They reach the clearing again.

Kristen grinned as Toji replied while accelerating towards her, and as they reach the clearing, the young Nephilim spins around before backflipping into a landing, clawing the ground with one hand to stabilize herself. She got into a defensive stance with her rapier again, preparing for Toji's attack.

"Now, let's see what you've got."

Toji huffs, grunting as she moves out of his reach, landing in the clearing they had started in. The halfling responds to her challenge by scrapping bark chips off the tree, tossing them at his sister in a scattered shot, hoping to ruin her focus as he rushes in. Ignoring the pain in Hus stomach, the fighter let's out a slightly speedy blitz of kicks, still holding back.

Kristen grinned, holding out her offhand to telekinetically redirect the thrown bark away from her face and off behind her. The movement put her off balance from her stance however, and when Toji came in with the kicks, one or two hit her before she got the flat of her sword back in to defend. This was good... he was still holding back but at least he was trying to hit her now.

Kristen stepped back, allowing Toji to land on the ground again. She then took an upwards slash at the halfling, but at half the strength she usually would when fighting a weak-medium strength opponent. She then followed with a downward slash of the same strength, and then a lunge forward of similar strength.

Toji snorts as she redirects the bark. Didn't matter..he managed to get through and deliver a couple of kicks before she started blocking.The halfling nodsx." You're doing good..."He lands on the ground, and dodges the upward slash. Toji dodges the lunge as well, but staggers backwards,landing on his butt.

Kristen laughed as Toji lost balance and landed on his butt. "Same to you. You seem to be getting your momentum back again as well." she grinned, bringing the flat of her blade to rest on her shoulder, "So, did you want to continue or take a break for now?" It occurred to her that the halfling was likely running on fumes from not having eaten a lot lately, and he probably needed a rest, or even better, food.

Toji looks down at her laugh. He really had let himself go....He should have been able to Dodge around that easily...The halfling blinks as she says he's getting his momentum back." Thanks..." He gets up, staggering slightly, and considers her question." I can continue..." He huffs, clutching Hus stomach."....But...I guesse a quick snack won't kill me..."

"Alright then." Kristen nodded, sheathing her sword, "Where shall we go?" the Nephilim girl thought for a moment... Toji had always liked seafood, she found. He literally raided the seafood table at the party at city hall several weeks ago. She smiled, thinking of an idea.

"Follow me!" she said, starting to walk out of the park and into the city.

Soon they reached the restaurant Kristen had in mind - an affordable sushi bar that had a great selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian sushi. "Here we are." she grinned.

Toji shrugs." I...don't know..." Luckily, his sister had an idea? He follows her, sniffing curiously and smiling slightky at the location.He'd have to remember this spot.They go in, and the halfling piles a plate high, waiting till Kristen gets hers before they sit down. Toji eats slowly and steadily, but smiles ast her." Thank you...." He tenses, shutting his eyes."Thank you..." The boy obviously meant for more than the meal.

Kristen walks into the restaurant with Toji, grabbing a pair of chopsticks and a plate of sushi before sitting down at a table with the halfling. They both started eating, but before long, the Okamian gave a heartfelt thanks. Kristen knew that it wasn't merely directed at the meal.

"Hey, it's no problem," Kristen replied, speaking a bit softer than normal, "Isn't that what friends do, what family does? We look out for each other." she smiled, looking at Toji. "I'm here for you, Toji. So don't worry about it."
