Rockin in a New Year! (Open/Grayline)

The new year was just about an hour or so away, and the streets of Jump City were full of pedestrians waiting for the countdown. The typical New Year's eve set-up was visible - a large ball, a ticking clock (which obviously had been quadrupled checked for bombs to avoid the cliche supervillain terrorist attack) and superfluous amounts of alcoholic beverages being poured all around.

But regardless of the bomb sweep, the good intentions, and the oncoming year. Evil always followed, and bad intentions loved new beginnings. Therefore heroes still prowled the streets in case anything abnormal should arise and those causing the abnormalities still stalked the area.

JaK was one such individual looking to cause a scene tonight but not the kind that involved witty catch phrases and use of handcuffs and ray-beams...At least he hoped it wasn't seen that way. "Ok guys, everyone needs to be in position were reaching the final stretch." The boy was talking into an ear piece and standing within the large crowd surveying the block. Everything seemed to be in order for now but he needed to make sure a few wires were rigged correctly to make sure this thing went down without the littlest hitch.

Haruhi stood in the shadows, examining their amps and looking over the crowds of people. "Everything's ready to go on my end." She spoke to her bandmates through her earpiece. She was getting pumped for this. It had been a while since their band had tried to pull off something like this.

Cynthia was in the lighting rigs above the stage "all good here guys, lets get this show going" she said happily, she too was excited and couldn't wait to play with her band mates again.

There was a teen titans in the crowd. Kale had assigned him to make sure there wasn't any Russians(or other things) about to cause trouble and ruin the fun. Hehehhheh, Kale had even bought tickets for him...Toji grins, rubbing his nose somewhat smugly."Hahahahaha, this is my first ever modern music experience....I wonder what it'll be like?" The young halfling's hair sparks as he gets more and more excited.

A pink haired Titan was also in the crowd tonight. She had snuck off to find her best friend and replacement in the band, Gluttony, giving her a few last minute words of encouragement. The two girls with vibrant hair were surely a sight to be seen, but they were trying their best to stay hidden. "Okay... You know your songs, you've practiced a lot, now it's time to relax and just have some fun performing! I know you've done all of this before, but, GAH! I'm getting nervous for you!" The girl kept twiddling with the blue haired girl's clothes and hair and... "MOM!! Chill!" *giggle* "I got this." Glut gave Bow a wink and slipped off to her position.

She spoke into her earpiece. "Bow wishes us all luck and says to rock out for her!" She smiled and got ready for the big reveal.

Bow made her way into the crowd to get a good view of everything. She had a good idea of where everyone might be... So she made sure to steer clear of a certain someone. But other than that, she was having a blast! There was already music in the air and she had a cup in her hand. A dance party had begun to break out and Bow was right there in the middle of it all. And she couldn't be missed. The only pink hair around for miles.

"All right, guys let's rock in this New Year!" JaK snapped his fingers and the final hidden cord connected itself to the loud speakers just as the camera crews they had texted with anonymous warnings of weird activity at central downtown showed up at the New Year's ball.

JaK performed various free running stunts to reach his position and began to count down. Gluttony on rhythm guitar while balanced on top of a street light, himself on drums on the stage under the ball, Haru bringing the jingle with the soundboard/piano on rooftop not too far from the group, and Cynthia on bass within the crowd. Each of them were spaced apart from one another in such a way that they made a diamond around the central audience. They had this down, it was time for the Grayline reunion.

"Alright, it's show time." JaK plugged in the lights and each band members position was revealed with the lighting color of their choice. JaK's spotlighting was purple. The lights were a platform he jury-rigged as a snowflake symbol, which shined from under the feet (or in gluts case the pole) and into the sky. This also gave a shadowing affect - the lighting outlined the musicians as they played, showing a large dark shadow rocking out within the colorful luminescence.

JaK then spoke into his microphone. "HELLO, Jump City!! It's time to bring in the New Year, with a little bit of throwback Holiday cheer! We are Grayline and were here to shake it up, and we hope you all had a very Merry Christmas this year!" JaK then tapped his drumsticks together and started in on the vocals for this song. He usually didn't sing, but on this cover him and Cynthia were taking turns with Gluttony and Haruhi chiming in on the chorus.

Haruhi grinned down at they're audience as the luminescent yellow, snowflake light that shot on upon her. She waved down at the Crowd as Jak gave the introduction. Haruhi began provide the sound of jingling bells as Jak and Cynthia provided the best and rhythm, and vocals. Haruhi did her part, along with Gluttony, singing along in the chorus.

Cynthia skilfully played the base as she sung along to the tune, smiling to her fans as she finally felt the excitement of playing live again, letting the energy surge through her.

Toji, hearing the music, grins in exitement, his hair sparking rather rapidly now."Wow, this is...how you say..awesome!! can't beleive it!!"
However, the young titan still had a duty to do, which became apparrent when e noticed a pickpocket moving through the crowd, Walking up to him, he grabbed the skinny theif by the collar."V ery naughty of you...C'mon, off we go, I'mgonna take you to Security...."he starts dragging the protesting fool to the Sec-spot...
