A Kitsune Christmas (HIVE)

Nina sniffed the air and looked to recognise Bjorn trying to look like a normal passenger, smiling softly at him she couldn't help but chuckle, perhaps she should have just let him ride with them so he wouldn't be struggling to look normal.

-Time skip to when they're at the bath house-

As the group entered the woods, Nina leading, a giant spa house type building would be revealed to them "huh...mum told me they did the old place up, it's a world apart from living in burrows" she muttered to herself as she led them inside and turned to them "welcome to the place I grew up guys! Well...kinda..." she said with a chuckle as Kiki, her mother suddenly hugged her "awh my little Ni-Ni is finally here, how was the journey here sweetie?" she asked as Nina smiled "it was alright...mum, these are my friends, guys, meet my mum Kiki" Nina introduced them as Kiki looked to her friends "ooh! Nina has told me so much about you lot! They look a lot like you described sweetie" she said with a cheery smile.

Nina sighed, hoping her mother wouldn't embarrass her too much as Kiki put her hands together "right everyone I've had to put you up in one big room rather than separate rooms, sorry, we get really busy with customers around this time of year but there's enough space for all of you in it and I've already got the inflatable mattresses set up for you" she said as Nina smiled at her friends, secretly wondering if they'd be okay all sharing, I mean...they were a team after all right?...

Faced with Quinn's challenge Pix had backed down. It had been a bluff all along. Christmas was a time of good-will and togetherness. Twas was not the Season for Quinn to spend in the custody of the American embassy. Or - more likely - twas was not the Season for Quinn to murder a brace of airport security and make HIVE hunted throughout Britain as well as America. Nina would never forgive them.

Naturally Pix didn't admit to his defeat. He informed Quinn he was merely postponing for the flight home. He had, however, returned her mobile screen and generally wussed out. This served to render him morose and generally less talkative in their subsequent journey. Once the aeroplane had landed Pix had expected a red double-decker bus to pick them all up and then ferry them part way, where they would then complete the rest of the distance by using umbrellas in Mary Poppins fashion. They had to make do with a unremarkable taxi.

Upon arrival Hugh was surprised to behold a structure even less stereotypically British then the journey. Pix had to let go of all his prejudical expectations. And replace those with altogether different prejudical expectations. Namely the Japanese ones.

"Little Ni-Ni hasn't taken to describing you much though, Ma'am." Pix imparted whilst counting the tails on Kiki. There was certainly a family resemblance evident. The sprite tried to keep his voice formal, "But you and your home are lovely. Is there someone on hand to take our bags?" He gathered it was a lodge of sorts. So surely it followed that there were people who took care of that sort of thing.

Score! In the game of 'Chicken' there was only ever going to be one winner. Quinn just knew Pix wouldn't go through with his threat, he had no bite. For the remainder of the journey, Pix had gone quiet which was a blessing to everyone aboard the aircraft. Quinn simply spent the journey sat back in her chair, playing 'Clash of Clans' on her phone as they headed towards their destination.

It was quite the remarkable home that Nina had led them into. It was a little different to what had been expected, probably better than what was expected really. Before long they were introduced to Nina's Mom - the family resemblance obvious. And then Quinn heard it. 'Little Ni-Ni', how adorable - that'll have to be used later. Quinn didn't say a thing though, not sure of what to say really. Big family gatherings weren't really thing, so when in doubt just smile and nod.

Now at their destination Gilda took the chance to stretch her wings, spreading them out of the harness that had kept them hidden rather well. She made sure to almost hit Pix while doing it. "One room?..." she said a bit warily, giving Pix a death glare, and also looking at Quinn. She didn't trust Quinn very much. "If that's all there is I guess."

Kristoff walked next to Nina, he had no idea what to say, so he kept his mouth shut. He would just look around and take in the sights, he would smile and nod in acknowledgement when they were introduced to Kiki, a spitting image of Nina.
