Note: The idea is that it's kinda like the bath house in Spirited Away except just run by them, and they tend to various animals and British folklore creatures, it's also obviously hidden away from human eyes unless they want it to be revealed to that person.

Glancing out to the cloudy sky they were flying above, Nina watched the clouds drift by. Sat in economy on a plane heading from Jump City, US to Leeds, England. Nina looked around to most of the sleeping passengers, it was 7:25am and only a few passengers were walking around and chatting to their friends and family, but the majority of them were asleep, but Nina couldn't sleep, she was too excited. She would finally be able to see her mother and all her aunts and cousins again, about four years had passed since she had left her home and said goodbye to her family, she had talked to her mother various times through her magic mirror but this would be the first time she'd get to see her family in person. She glanced to her team mates and smiled softly, she wondered if everything would go okay and if her family would like her friends.

Obviously she had told her mother of her various HIVE activities, just as any honest daughter would, but she was more concerned about how her friends would take to her...peculiar family 'I wonder how everyone is...and how much has changed...' she pondered before she closed her eyes and sighed softly 'well I'll be seeing them in an hour or two hopefully...but then there's the walk to the forest, I hope I can still find my way home...' she added to her thoughts, she had asked her mother to give her directions that she had written down just in-case, what lay ahead would be a long walk to the forest where she was raised.

When you got passed the commercialism and the hokey religious propaganda, Christmas was really about one thing. It was about family. A time to set aside your day-to-day concerns and gravitate towards the ancestral abode. No matter what your age, location, or occupation; all would gather at the table to play nice and trade gifts in a fashion of unconditional love. The season necessitated good-will to all men and harmonious relations with those siblings and parents you loved deep down inside. Thank goodness Pix didn't have to put up with such pageantry this year.

"You know why dad... It starts with an 's'... The SIEGE... Yes... No I can't run it... I can't run the blockade to make it home this year, you're going to have to carve the turkey without me... No! Don't phone TIBERIUS! He has more important things to think about than getting me home for Christmas... He does not owe you a favour... Yes I know mum will be sad. She can make her case to the Russians... No this isn't 'very convenient' for me. I'd love to be there... Oh yeah. Because I started this war to have an excuse to not visit... I'm about to lose signal dad. I'm going through a tunnel, on an aeroplane, whilst hanging up the phone... It's a joke, I'm not actually on an aeroplane."

Hugh closed the flip mobile and reclined in his chair, breathing a sigh of relief. That was rough. He would have to send the Russians a Christmas card. Nothing short of an apocalypse would placate his infernal parents. HIVE had of course run the blockade and caught a flight to England. Spending the holidays at someone else's parents made a fantastic change to Hugh's usual festive plans.

Pix looked over to see Nina was still awake, "I told you that a phone-call wouldn't crash the plane. It's a total myth."

This Christmas was going to be so much different from last years. It roughly marked a year on from when Quinn had been removed from HIVE, and thrown into the pit by the Guild thanks to the orders of Tiberius. That place was a nightmare. White walls, a rounded room, always bright. Sleep was impossible in there, as was death. You were left alone, in complete solitude and quick you lose any sense of time. It makes your mind wander, it invokes memories and dreams of nightmarish proportions. Though what more can you expect from a Guild Christmas?

It was going to be different this time, spending it away from everything that mattered in Jump City to venture across the pond to England. On the plane, Quinn was occupying the seat beside Pix, taking the seat beside the window. *Insert Snakes on a Plane reference*. Pix's phone call - that is what Quinn wanted for Christmas. A simple phone call conversation with her mom. Miseria was still a part of the Guild, and it had been too long since they last spoke. The split from Guild didn't help either, it only served to make things more difficult. It was a Christmas gift that Quinn knew she wouldn't get, instead she would have to make do with whatever novelty gift her comrades got her. No doubt a book '...for dummys' from Pix. What a pompous douche, she could kill him right here.

But Quinn would resist the urge to throttle her comrade, for now. Instead Quinn sat there in her seat beside Pix, lounging back with her iPhone out. She wasn't looking to make any calls, instead she was browsing through posts on her Instagram, finding old photos she had taken. One was particularly great. "Do you remember that?". Quinn would ask Pix, holding out her phone for him to glance at the screen. It was a photo she had taken earlier in the year, a selfie. It was from several months ago, when Pix got turned to ice by one of the Zydons. He was frozen with a comical facial expression, whilst Quinn stood just before him with a huge grin on her face - to think, seconds later she slaughtered a few dozen Zydons. But anyway! Quinn gave Pix ample time to look, and would withdraw her phone slightly for a moment as she got it ready to take another. Then, she'd hold her phone out in front of her and lean ever so slightly towards Pix so they were both in the photo.

"Plane selfie!". Click! The picture was taken, and the light tapping of button presses could be heard as the photo would soon be uploaded to Instagram. The message to go along with it; 'heading to england with my bitches #planeselfie #nofilter'. Quinn then settled back down in her seat, humming the tune of 'Fancy' - Iggy Azalea.

Kris sat on a window seat, right in front of Pix. He was on his phone with his little brother, showing a side he never shows. "Ok, Axle, I want you to brush your teeth before bed, don't you forget to floss, Mister. You want cavities? Remember to shower before bed and when you wake up, just because we grew up street urchins doesn't mean you still have to smell like one... Be safe, I'll only be gone a few days and if you need anything, I'm sure Bow or Haruhi will be happy to help you. Don't talk to strangers, ok? I love you, if I come back and your hurt, I will murder half of Jump... JOKE! That was a joke! I left you some money in my room on my desk. Ok, bye kiddo, love you too." To anyone who didn't know Kris, they probably thought he was an 18 year old father.

Nina glanced to Pix and smiled a little at him, she didn't mean to drag everyone away from their usual festivities but she hoped that they'd still enjoy themselves with her and her family. She was really excited to introduce her family to her best friends. Looking to Kris who she sat next to she watched him speak and once he finished she chuckled softly "you can be really sweet sometimes ya'know?" she said, happy that she had got to see a side of Kris that she figured only his brother would usually see.

Hugh studied the phone that Quinn shoved in his face. At first he couldn't make heads or tails of it. Then it dawned on him what he was looking at. A groan escaped as he tipped back into his seat, "Let me get this straight. In a life or death situation you decided the best use of your time would be to capture a brief moment of hilarity. Remind me why I felt bad for you again over that escapade?" The assassin annoyed him by snapping another selfie without his consent. Deep-set in a frown, Pix held out an open palm. The pixels from Quinn's phone detatched from the screen and collected in his hand, rendering the user output interface dud.

Hugh closed his fist and pocketed the pool of tiny silver squares, "You can have them back when the flight is over."

Needless to say, Quinn was not amused with Pix as he pocketed the pixels from her phone. Had he stepped out the wrong side of bed this morning? He seemed cranky with such a response, more than usual. What harm was a photo? Quinn turned to look at Pix, and you could tell she was sorely not amused. "Really? ...like, really?". Pix really hadn't thought this through as carefully as perhaps he should. "You've got ten seconds to put them back, or you won't be conscious for the next few hours". It would perhaps be to the benefit of everyone on the flight if Pix was rendered unable to speak for the rest of the journey.

Kris pinched the bridge of his nose, "Remember, you guys are traveling with a person with a Russian accent, let's not cause a scene, ok?" Kris then looked out the window before looking at Nina "Don't let Crash Alley hear that, we might lose our foot soldiers from dying of laughter." Kris then leaned back and put in his headphones before drifting to sleep.

Gilda had sat in the seat on the other side of Nina. Silently. Her wings were tightly bound behind her and she looked incredibly uncomfortable. The wing harness wasn't the reason though. She had never actually flown in a plane before, in fact she usually didn't use vehicles of any kind except for occasional boats. "Stupid plane...why does your family live so far away Nina? Why not make them come here? Then we could all just stay nice and cozy back home and they could be on this stupid plane."

"Now we have to be stuck in this tin can with Pix's nitpicking. Kris's smoke smell and Quinn..." She didn't mention Blake, or Nina, partially because she was talking to Nina and Blake could hear her, but also because she didn't mind those two's company. "How long are we gonna be flying?"

Nina giggled at Kris "hey I never even go down to Crash Alley so don't worry about that" she said before she heard Gilda and looked to her "well they can't come to us because they're meant to be hidden and secret and if they're gone then who will look after the animals and folklore during winter?" she asked as she rubbed Gilda's shoulder in an attempt to soothe her "just give it a few more hours and we'll be off, we've still got a long walk ahead of us though" she added calmly.

So that's how it was. Quinn could dish it out but not take it. Threat of violence was a simpleton's response devoid of any amount of thinking. Though Hugh already knew his friend had not passed the usual State Mandated curriculum for standard of education. It was hardily a fair joust, his intellect verses her slovenly mind. But this was no time for pity! No quarter must be given!

"The Russian makes a good point. I know of thirty-one transgressions an air marshal is legally allowed to apprehend you on a plane for. And I'm not afraid to put that knowledge to work framing you if you so much as steal my armrest." Pix's elbow jarred Quinn's limb off the armrest that was between the two of them, "So sit down, shaddup, and enjoy your flight."

Is that Pix's response? That he'll go tattle on Quinn to the teacher? Lame. Quinn didn't sit down as Pix had requested, nor did she 'shaddup, nor enjoy the flight. A slight sigh came from Quinn before she responded to the HIVE leader. "Go on... get the Air Marshall involved, I dare you". Quinn would say, daring Pix to act upon his own threat. This was a game of Chicken; thousands of feet high up in the air. But who had the stronger resolve; Pix or Quinn?

There was a soft thud as one of the bags in the stowage fell from it's place. Bjorn pulled himself out of the bag and slinked into the dark cargo area. It was cold and he didn't like it much here. It took only moments for the insect like beast to get into another bag and get himself into a disguise. He was in a hoody and a pair of sweatpants as he rode the cargo lift up to the passenger lounge.

Bjorn had the hood up and pulled tight but still his nostrils flared out as he sniffed at the air. He caught Nina's scent and made his way back to her doing his best to stand up straight. It wasn't a good effort as he ended up looking like he had bad joints and was just super uncomfortable. It would only take a moment to get back to them one of his 'fingers' had extended from the sleeve. His eyes slid across those in the plane looking over HIVE.
