Power 1
Power: Electric Pulse, Lute sends out an electric pulse, up to 100 meters, to detect the heart rates of those surrounding her. Lute will always be aware if someone is near her. In crowded area, she'll still be able to hear the fast beating of someone's heart if they're coming towards her or going away from her. Her pulse will be disrupted if there is high electrical source nearby. If there is a huge surge of electricity, she will not be able to pulse.

Power 2
Power: Arc Barrier, Lute calls for an electrical shield that's able to deflect most solid projectiles, up to 30 tons. She can also make these in front of allies for a short while. While doing this, she is vulnerable to attacks as she needs to keep her focus on holding the shields. The more shields she tries to make on her allies, the weaker she becomes. This also applies to buildings, as the larger the building, the weaker she becomes. If she shields more than 6 people, she will collapse from exhaustion.

Power 3
Power: Hypercharge, Lute can charge herself or allies, doubling speed and having a little bit of electrical power on hit. She can use this power to charge batteries, generators, or daily appliances. If Lute charges only charges herself, she is able to send balls of electricity. If she is near an electrical source she will have amplified damage for her allies and herself.

Weaknesses: Her powers are focused on helping her allies. If she is knocked unconscious, her powers will not help assist. If there is a huge surge of electricity in an area, her powers are amplified but at the cost of her Electric Pulse being completely disoriented. She can overcharge and exhausting her completely. Her overcharging capacity depends on her emotions and how is her health. When two of her allies fight and argue, she'll be really stressed and indecisive. When pressured to making a choice, she'll release electrical surges that will electrocute and overcharge any thing in the vicinity. She is also still human, and is subject to sicknesses or injuries. She is physically weaker than most humans.

Personality: Melissa has a welcoming personality. She will stick around you and try to make you smile. Her outgoing personality fits well with her ability to cook and do visual arts. Although she has a great personality, she can be a huge klutz and gets really confused when you load a bunch of information on her. When she is in combat, she'll be a bit playful but sometimes, this'll lead her to be a bit reckless. Some days, she'll look off into the distance and feel alone. She gets these feelings because she forces herself to make sure she's not a detriment to her allies. She wants to keep everyone happy, and so when arguments happen, she'll try to soothe both sides. This could end really badly as when pressured to choose a side, she'll try to change the topic and avoid making those decisions. If she is vented upon, she'll feel like she did something is wrong and try to fix it.

Strengths: Melissa always want to keep her friends smiling. She is intellectual, and devoted to her friends. She can make everyone happy and tries to make sure they are fine.

Interests/Habits: Melissa loves to cook, and at times when she cooks, especially baking, will have a bit of dough on her cheek. She's into reading the newest books and drawing whatever she remembers that day.

History:

Melissa was born on December 15th, 1999 in a small town called McKenson. Melissa wasn't born with her supernatural abilities. However, Melissa had a unique green hair color, which shocked her parents and the doctors. The loving parents of Melissa though, decided that it was a gift for their child. Melissa was a healthy infant and continue to grow. There was times where electrical currents would sometimes make electronics stutter and try to re calibrate the amount of voltage it's receiving.

Melissa had many friends and they all gave her different types of nicknames. She was quite fond of people using her middle name Seri as a nickname. She was a tomboy, but she still had a passion for singing and visual arts. She would sketch animals, her friends, people, but mainly the landscape. As a young girl, she was always fascinated by lightning storms. She planned to study fulminology to examine them more. At the age of 9, she began researching colleges that has anything related to lightning storms.

At age 13, she read about Benjamin Franklin and his kite that was able to send a lightning current. She made her own kite experiment and waited for a lightning storm. Before leaving her parents did tell her to be careful with this sort of experiment, as it could potentially harm her. Melissa acknowledge her parents words, but she presses on to perform the experiment. She sets up the kite and in that moment, lightning struck. It sent an electrical channel into Melissa, and she was electrocuted. She was knocked out unconscious. Her parents quickly saw the incident and rushed her to a hospital to receive treatment. Melissa was declared in a state of a coma.

Several months later, while she was still in a coma, there was was a massive power outage in the hospital. The lights fluctuated and surged, causing electronics to malfunction or overload. This high source of electricity found itself going straight to Melissa. The shock was so strong it would have killed any normal human. However, Melissa came out of her coma but was radiating in electricity. She afraid of what was going on and panicked. She cried for help. It was still dark and she was just glowing in electricity. When the power came back on everything disappeared. When the nurses came to see her, she just wanted to go home.

She stayed for another month in the hospital before being released. Her long absence from school made her parents put her in a private academy in Jump City. She was sad that she had to leave her friends behind, but in this new school she quickly became friends with new people and she had friends whom were living with her. During this time, she still remembers clearly what happened that day. On her off days, she would just try to snap to get a little spark going hopefully.

It wasn't until a year later, she finally discovers she has powers. She was on her school roof and decided to try a final attempt on making electricity. She closed her eyes and relaxed her body. She focused in and a moment later, felt a heartbeat. Opening her eyes, she looked around. There was no one she could see, but she could still hear a heartbeat. Realizing it's her own heartbeat, she smiled and wanted to test it again with more people. She heads into a hallway, and closing her eyes, she feels many many heartbeats. She looks around and just hear heartbeats left and right passing by her. She was excited, but she needed to keep this a secret. She swore to herself that would never let anyone know about this power.

Melissa is now 15, and recently fell in love with superhero movies. Knowing she has powers she decided to make herself a hero as well. She wanted to help people and keep her identity a secret. She made her own outfit and gave herself the name, "Lute". Lute was a musical instrument back in the medieval times and it was short and sweet. She knew people would recognize her for her face and the goggles she wears all the time. She decided to put a bit of toughness on her face like band-aids and dirt marks to make herself look different from her daily life.

Melissa ran to the top of her classroom roof. She was certain. Absolutely certain that she had some sort of unique ability. Her green hair jumps up and down as she takes the steps to the roof. Opening the door, a breeze of fresh air from Jump City went into the new opened area. Melissa walked out and remembered the incident.

She jolted awake, looking around, she couldn't remember what happened.The room was dark. She could hear footsteps and shouting. Desperately trying to understand what was going on around her, she managed to realized she was in the hospital. As Melissa was getting out of bed, she noticed her arm had lightning just quickly jumping around her body. Instantly jumping up and standing, she saw herself in the mirror. Her green eyes met a young girl that was glowing and surrounded by electricity. Looking down it was her. She panicked, she screamed, she cried. "Mommy!" She fell to her knees and continued to cry. As soon as the power to the hospital building came back on, the electricity aura resided and Melissa looking around and herself fell back unconscious as she spent so much energy crying.

The horror was there, but it's now but a memory in Melissa. She took a deep breath in and yelled, "Zap!" Thrusting her arms out she tried to fire lightning. Nothing happened. She giggled at her silliness, but attempted once more. This time she closed her eyes. She just focused on trying to send something out. Within seconds she felt a pulse, opening her eyes, she could hear a soft beating heart. She looked around, and slowly she realizes it's her own heartbeat. She could feel it beating faster as she slowly gets excited. However this wasn't enough, she wanted to test if she could do it again.
Walking back down the stairs and into a crowded school hallway. She leaned on a wall and closes her eyes just for a second, and she gets multiple heartbeats. All the beats made a melodic tune, she grinned and inside she was jumping with joy. She has superpowers.
