"Yo, Janet, let's see that flight of yours!" Bio said as he exited the garage.

"Athena vs Janet race off after breakfast! Can't be late to class, and you better not make me puke over my skateboard again Athena!"

Athena barked and then said "Psh, it's your fault for eating pancakes okay? Let's race to third street so you don't give away Bioshock's identity after all that trouble to hide Janet's alright? News flash, most metas don't skate around, but plenty can fly. Athena, you don't have to listen to this idiot, if you're going to fly, fly high and stay safe."

Leaves swirled by in little whirlwinds as yet another autumn matured into winter. Athena ran forwards leading Chuck along with a rope attached to his waist while he balanced on his skateboard, while wearing bone skating shoes for the extra challenge. They were moving as fast as a car while rolling down the road.

  When they reached the end of the street, Bio dissipated his armor and shifted into his normal look and ran the rest of the way there. He skidded in and then folded up his skates and waited for Janet to get there.

"Now, this school is so big it's pretty much the same as living in the city. There's playing by the rules, which gets you nowhere, and then there's styling it. Walk with me,"

As an example, Chuck strutted down the hallway while chewing on gum.

"Hey Charlie, how's it going, still beating up kids for lunch money? Haha, you loser."

"Maurice, what's going on? Yeah man, new cousin!"

 Chuck said hello to a few people while allowing pauses for Janet to introduce herself and then opened the door of classroom 5 and walked in.

"Hey Mr. Smith, how's it going? Great to be back in Chemistry I tell ya."

Mr. Smith looked up from his folded hands, completely awkward from the fact that his entire class of delinquents were ignoring him. He looked down at his folder.

"Ah, Janet... welcome to Murakami. Attention class we have a new transfer student! Everyone?! ... new transfer... student... Why don't you introduce yourself?"

Bio looked at Janet.

"Oh this is perfect for you. This is where you style it. Go on, get their attention, rough em up a bit. It's totally worth it, remember you're a minor in public school you can get away with a lot."

Bio found a seat and sat back in it to watch this unfold.

She followed him out but blinked going wide eyed when he suggested to race but before she could object he was gone. She couldn't fly! Well she physically could but in order to appear as a normal teenaged girl she couldn't suddenly be all like. 'welp imma gonna fly around and draw attention to myself now herp de derp.' in her look. She sighed as she looked around and saw a car of teens who most likely were going to school jaming out to music as they sped down towards where she was.

She crouched down and as they passed she lept forward grabbing hold of the side of the car as she stood on the bummper of the car. She held on trying to balance herself as they drove like mad men to the school. She jumped off as they neared the school and run the rest of the way over to Chuck. She looked to him as he started to talk to her and well she knew from what he said that today... would be interesting...

As he strutted and talked to random people she stayed silent looking at the new place she was in. Having never been inside any form of a school building before, seeing so many loud shouting teen agers letting their hormones rage and choas guide them she was a bit frightened. Were these supposed to be her peers? Were they suppose to be her age or 5? And was Jemmy in a corner somewhere feeding off all the choas or what ever little girl looking choas lords do near by?

All and all this was all veeeery intimidating for her, Getting shot down by a helicopter then taking down said helicopter pulse 2 more and a dude in a mech suit saving her ex boyfriend from dieing and saving the mayors son, and singing on stage in front of thousands of people was nothing compared to this.... She looked from the teacher which to her understanding was the leader of these kids and they didn't listen to him at all. If they disagreed with his leadership skills shouldn't they be addressing so in a civil and respectable manner?

She blinked and looked to him as he spoke to her then and then to the class. Great... now she had to try and communicate with the raging teens... When he said to rough them up she blinked, was she supposed to beat the %#!@ out of them to claim dominance or something? She looked over everyone and she blinked when she noticed her heart racing and found herself unable to speak now. '%#!@! My shyness is back, so not the time!" she just stood there slightly wide eyed as she stared at the class.

'Wait is this good cause mostly everyone thought of me as confident.... #%!$ it either way this sucks all my hard work to get rid of my shyness is down the drain now!" She then just quickly left to find a seat. 'Okay they seem violent so i should sit in the back so i cant get jumped.' she saw no seat open so she did the next best thing and found a seat near Chuck, familiar faces always helped unless said face was that of someone trying to kill you.

Bio fumbled for his smartphone.

"When you can't beat em, use yer connections."

He nodded at Mr. Smith with an understanding, focused and altered his voice to match the school district's director of the board and called the principal's office. After a quick conversation about the wife and kids, the 'board director' got down to the business at hand.

"Now Donald I want that East Park cleaned. Those Russians could take over at any moment... do you want a Russian boss in my place? They'll want that place spic and span, so get on it!"

The principal shuddered at the thought of actually having to do work. He pressed the intercom.

"Ahehehm. Attention all classes, we are adding an exciting new element to our education here at Murakami High. Daily community service! After 3PM all students will be required to go to the parking lot for an extra 3 hours of community service cleaning at the East Park... Refusal to result in immediate suspension and then expulsion, which means back to the brig for a lot of you. Hope to see you there!"

An uproar of manly rage erupted from class room 5.

"Wh-whaat is this?!"

"I'm going to have to clean the park with these nerds?! OH PEOPLEEEEEE!"

"I can't go to the park... I have allergies!"

"heheheh. woooo-ooooooo!! Field Triip~!" (That's Chuck)

Chuck nodded to Mr. Smith.

"Yeah that's right you clowns, you're lucky I didn't call Chad!" Chad was the king of delinquents at the school and also Chuck's best friend.

"So is everyone going to sit down and begin class now?"

The delinquents looked at each other and decided to sit down. They had no choice but to make better grades or qualify for an AP class to get out of being escorted like toddlers to places they didn't want to be and watched.

Chuck whispered to Janet, "That's how it's done."

As the lecture continued he would pass notes to her explaining that if she showed herself as the smart one and did other things to get on the right people's good side, people would remember her in public school. It was the only way.

Jenny went wide eyed as she heard the principle blinking, no way that is legal! You can't just force kids into labor without pay and then punish them when they refuse to go! Jenny heard that high school was hell but she had no idea it was this bad! This place was insane! She then looked to his note 'Okay I just have to be nice to these brutes and be smart, how hard could that be?'

She looked through the chemistry book before face planting in it and mumble whispered to Chuck. "Screw school and hang it on a wall where it can be displayed to show all just how well you used your screw driver to drive a metal screw in it so perfectly through the I give up hole into the getting shot feels better than trying to understand a single word in this book hole..."

Once the class was over there were several breaks and then lunch. Bio staked out a seat for Janet and him to sit and then stood up on the table.

"Everyone! This is my cousin Janet!"

Many if not most said "Hi Janet!"

"That's right. You know how Chad and I feel about picking on innocent newcomers, so please take good care of her!"

After that he sat down and continued his conversation.

"So basically, education isn't about the means it's about the end, at least that's what Athena tells me. If you get a good education you won't have to worry about surviving and you can have hobbies and friends without having to cut it short because you have a late night shift doing something. I like it but at the same time I want to stay like me you know what I'm saying? And you probably want to stay you to some extent. People who take all of this way to seriously are the 'nerds', they're nice but missing out. And people who don't take it seriously at all are the delinquents. They're going to be working at McDonalds if they all don't shape up. Or live with their parents for the rest of their life which is -gag-"

Bio put his finger to his mouth and opened his mouth quickly emulating the sound of gagging twice.

She followed him to lunch and sat down before blushing brightly when he started shouting burring her face in her hands in an embarrassed fashion. she peaked out as she looked up at him confused. "But I never even went to school managed to make my wont album and got paid for it and got many jobs who never asked once for a high school diploma cause i was just doing small jobs that left me with a lot of free time and quite the amount of left over cash cause i didn't wast money on anything bigger than a hotel room just in cause i had to suddenly pick up and leave my living space was easily replaced and i din't need much space and it was cheap yet a nice place.... and never once did i use 90% of the stuff they are trying to teach me here...."

"Well okay. I definitely won't argue that all of this is overrated and that for some people it's not really that necessary but... it also helps you get along with others and forge your own path. My friend Chad for example is a pretty average student but school molded him into a guy with a hobby as a mechanic and a pretty responsible dude. He's also a pretty decent, although simplistic, superhero.

  And then there's status... if you do well in school and go to college... maybe/hopefully get a degree in something you actually like doing, people will take your word more seriously and all of the shame and regrets of the past can be forgotten. That's the beauty of Ameri- California. Amerifornia.. whatever."

Chuck engorged himself on more food, burped and then put aside the third tray in a row.

"We can talk more about this at the park. Say... since I'm joining a superhero team and you were part of one, do you have any pointers?"

He couldn't remember for the life of him the name of Jenny's team, but it had to be something similar to the one he was in.

Jenny just shrugged it off all of that High school gibberish he was saying and at her food only eating one tray. She then crossed her arms and laid her chin on them resting her arms on the table. "Screw the park he can't force me to clean anything without paying me and cant punish me for not going because its illegal as #%!$. And yeah hero wise I was on the titans for a while then I made a team called Link, but Mav is in charge of it now since she was second command and i died. But generally all i can give in advice is dont be stupid and over confident and dont be a dick cause thats who you get your fellow members killed."

"It's okay, if you want to bail go on ahead. I'll see you back at home. I'm sure you can hack yourself in as present for those extracurricular 'activities' "

Bio stopped and then a goofy grin crept across his face. He then laughed.

"No way! That's the team I'm joining!"

"I already have something planned to do during that time... and cool treat everyone right and with respect.... and dont tell them i'm back please..." she said quietly as she started out the window of the cafeteria, it was so noisy in here and the face she wasn't allowed to leave made her feel.... not right....

Chad woke up feeling great, it wasn't usual for him to feel so good in the morning especially with him going out and fighting crime in the evening, he could never understand how Batman does it everyday. Since he was late he didn't bother making any breakfast since he'd make it just in time for lunch anyway. He sped to school in his pickup truck and dashed through the hallway.

"Missing Biology? Sure who gives a crap! But you've got me wrong if you think I'm gonna miss lunch too!"

After making his way to the lunchroom and getting a tray Chad felt way more relaxed.  After a few moments of enjoying his clarity Chad saw Chuck sitting with an unfamiliar face and walked over to the table.

"Yo B- uh Chuck can you believe nobody woke me up man? Now I practically missed half a day of school, which I guess is fine since it'll go by quickly and I don't have to sit through Biology and I need to do some maintenance on my baby, I've been a little rough with her lately."

Chad sat down and laid his book bag on the floor next to him.
"By the way who the hell is this? I don't think I've seen her before"

Chad said not even bothering to completely chew his food before talking

"By the way who the heck is this?"

Bio held out his hand to slap Circuit's hand as he approached.

"She's my 'cousin' broooo" He said having already finished his food and just slouching back digesting what he ate.

"It's a pretty long story, but I took her in because she died or something? Crazy right? I'm the guy who's supposed to be dying all the time."

He allowed Janet to introduce herself.

"By the way bro, are your boys cool for going to the Tower and helping fix it up? Now that the Russians know about it we gotta get that place cleaned up."
