The girl with a sword

Men an women all dance together in a large ballroom, the men wearing classy royal robes themed with colors of their home land, the women in ball gowns themed with colors of their home lands. Every woman paired with a man as they danced no one left without a partner. All except a man, his wife, two daughters, and son who sat in thrones watching over the people dancing all with a smile on their face except the eldest daughter.

The family that did not dance all had a necklace on that looked like a copper metal gear behind silver metal wings held on by screws and a gold piece of metal between the wings with a diamond in the center of that. The parents and their eldest child, the son all wore a silver ring with a infinity sign with it that looked like there was a liquid flowing in the infinity sign that changed colors.

A man in robes all black looking of his early 20s walked up to the eldest daughter bowing to her then knelt down bowing his head holding his hand out to her. The youngest daughter only of 8 years looked to her sister clearly not feeling comfortable around the man her brother who became 18 tonight looking to the girl not approving her parents both middle aged just eyes the man silently.

The girl limply laid her hand in the mans she was nearing the age of 17. The two rose as they walked to the center of the ball room and began to dance elegantly with one and other. He twirled her and lowered her down in a dip leaning down kissing her. He slowly pulled her back up and whispered in her ear "Midnight" and silently left her. She looked to her family before leaving to the bathroom.

Her brother stood up to follow the man thinking he had said something cruel to his sibling but his father stopped him seating him back down silently shaking his head telling him to leave the man be. The brother sat back down looking angry. The girl was followed by some royal guards who waited out side the bathroom door as she locked it behind her.

She stared at her own refection for a while looking a bit displeased but slowly opened her mouth lowering her tongue from her mouth a key placed on it. She pulls the key from her tongue before she slowly knelled down and pulled the rug back that she stood on. She then pulled off a few boards revealing a chest which she pulled out slowly.

She stared at it for a long while clenching her teeth and the key in her hand closing her eyes. She took a deep breath before she used the key to unlock the chest slowly opening it. Inside laid a sword and glove that was finger less except for the pointer and pinkie finger. It was black with 2 gold stripes going up the side of the pointer and pinkie finger.

She closed her eyes once more before reopening them and pulled on the glove that stretched up to right before her shoulder. She picked up the sword with the gloved arm narrowing her eyes. She stabbed the sword through the wall as if it was butter the wall leaking blood as she quickly turned on her heels stabbing the wall on the other side in the same place it leaking blood as well.

She then pulled the sword that was perfectly clean from the wall as she unlocked the bathroom door walking out. she looked to her left then right seeing the guards blood soaking their chest plates and laid lifelessly there. She then looked to a clock it was nearing midnight already. She walked down the long corridor down to the library knowing that is where her family would soon reside to have a private congratulations party for their eldest child, her brother, who just became a man that night.

She knocked on the door slowly the door knob starting to turn but she held in place with one hand as the person on the other side got distracted by the handle trying to turn it to open it. "Hello who is the-" The voice of her father asked but was cut off by the sound of a gag as she held her sword that's blade was now through the door piecing his chest. He dropped to the ground her mother screamed in horror as her siblings shouted "Father!"

She let go of the door knob as her brother grabbed his sword out yanking the door open expecting an assassin to be fleeing the area but froze in horror when he saw his sister. "Did you-..... w-why...?" He asked shocked but narrowed his eyes raising his sword. "How could you-..!" he swung it down as he shouted but she swing hers that easily cut through his and him the top half of his body sliding off and falling to the ground as his lower half did the same.

Her face now with blood on it stared at his lifeless body her hand shaking as she looked up to her horrified mother and sister. She clenched the sword as her little sister ran up to her pounding on her stomach crying and yelling at her. "Why!? Why did you kill father and brother!?" Her mother slowly falling to her butt backing up against the wall horrified. The girl shed a single tear "Why!? They loved you! Why did you kill-" she clenched her teeth as her sword pierced the child and she walked over to her mother.

She knelled down looking at her mother holing the sword with both hands over her mothers heart. Her mother held the blade staring into her eldest daughters tear filled eyes. Tears rolled down her mothers cheeks as she parted her lips to say her finally words but they were cut off as her sword pierced her chest. She removed her mother, father, and brothers rings putting her brothers on her pointer finger and dropped the other two on the ground.

She then used the sword to cut them both in half as the clock gonged announcing it was midnight. The ring on her finger's liquid glowed red along with her arm and sword. She shouted clutching her arm in pain as her eyes glazed over her pupils barely able to be seen now as she fell to her knees but the man from before caught her as she panted. He smiled gently to her brushing her blood splattered hair from her face. "You did it Lin, you-"

He coughed blood as his eyes widened looking down to her shocked. Her sword was plunged into his chest and she looked up at him with hate filled eyes. "You said you had been waiting for the end of your life till you met me... well... here it is...." She pulled the blade from his chest as she slowly stood up dropping his body to the ground.

She picked up her dress bottom with one hand as she opened the window climbing up to it as many guests and guards look at the girl in shock. She looked to them without a word and let herself fall out the window. The guests and guards rushed over to the window trying to grab her but only saw a splash in the water below.

They searched the waters for weeks and for her for years but no traces were found nor a reason of her killing of her family and boyfriend. She was written off that she had gone insane and died that night. The ownership of the kingdom then was passed off to her cousin who was only 19 but was able to handle the kingdom very well. Soon the story of her and what happened that night became a mere legend and myth to some as centuries passed without proof of it since all evidence seemed to vanish, along with many questions about her and the story.
