| As always with Jump City, some form of villainy was always lurking around each corner, no matter the efforts of the police or of the heroes. You were never too far off witnessing a crime of some sort, the criminal workings of Jump City's not so finest were always at work. Today was different, it wasn't like any other. Whilst the sun still blared down, kissing the rooftops of buildings, and the residents rushed around going about their daily routine as per usual. Today was a very special day, a day to be recorded for future generations. Because today six individuals, very different individuals come together as one, to form a team of villainy and to wreak havoc on any and all who oppose them.
In front of the Jump City Museum was an armoured van, and behind it; another car, not so armoured. The two back doors of the van were open wide, as two security men stood outside, talking between themselves. One was smoking a cigarette, his smokers cough echoing around him. Another security man would walk out from the museum. He was more heavily armoured, holding a briefcase in hand. He approached the other two, engaging them in conversation as he laid out a set of instructions. It appeared as though they was gearing up, some kind of escort or something.
Little did they know, but they were being watched. Opposite the museum and atop the rooftop, a young girl by the name of Quinn was watching. She sat on the ledge, her legs dangling off the side, kicking back and forth. Around her she had her weapon of choice; 'Angelus Mortis' - her ring blade. She seemed quite calm, content, playful. But make no mistakes, there were evil attentions behind her presence. Though of course, she was not alone...

| A female wearing a specific outfit was laying out a picnic blanket and took out a large pizza box, meat feast, she also put out some veggie wraps in-case anyone was vegetarian, she also took out a large carton of orange juice. The female opened the box and took out a slice of pizza and lifted up the mask she was wearing, her trademark whiskers visible under it for a few moments as she took a bite of the greasy pizza, she decided to keep silent as to not give away their location, she just enjoyed the pizza for now, she planned to just share the carton of orange juice with everyone. They were all adults...just about, no worries about cooties or other germs...unless anyone had a cold...she didn't think anyone had a cold...they better not have...okay anyone sneezes and no juice for them. - Mask hiding face, kimono hiding tails, wig hiding ears.:

| Let history falsely assert that HIVE's first group action was the oncoming heist. Pix knew better. He knew it all began with a company picnic. Â "And here I didn't bring any coleslaw." At this elevation an unfortunate wind whipped passed to seize at Nina's blanket. Pix carefully chose a corner to sit upon in order to stabilise their meal. He didn't know where the name HIVE came from. It seemed an oddly specific choice, but TIBERIUS hadn't felt like explaining himself. And he didn't have to. He was the boss. Though the question of second in command was still open. Who was in charge when on field assignment? Â Sensibly TIBERIUS did not condone such frivolous bickering amongst his newly constructed alliance. But they were villains here. They were going to misbehave somewhat. Therefore the candidacy was still out there. Gilda's obvious physical prowess and assertiveness made her the shining example of a strong leader. Meanwhile Angelus Mortis doubtless enjoyed more confidences from TIBERIUS than the remainder. However, Pix didn't believe for a second that either could match him in preparation and forethought. It was only Kitsune who appeared to be uninterested in the role. Though her flippancy regarding the issue might have been a ploy. Â Hugh ripped free a slice of pizza and proceeded to put it to his pixelised face (-0-) only for it to stop there. Damn, he'd forgotten. He couldn't eat in his metahuman body. Skittishly he looked about the vicinity before transforming into a human and stuffing his face. In five seconds flat the slice was gone, his pixelised body returned. Â "Du we hath a mithual?" He gulped so as to clear his cheeks of food, "Do we have a visual? If he assigned four of us to this job, their security must have considerable detail." | |

| As mission time rolled around Gilda was lying on top of a building, bored out of her mind. When was that car supposed to get here again? She was supposed to hit one of them...which one?...Gilda sorta forgot yet sorta remembered. She knew what they looked like, but she forgot whether she was supposed to hit the leads, or the protection...well, the others could get the target, she wanted the challenge. From a few blocks away.
She heard the escorts putting on their gear, despite how far away she was, then heard the cars start up. She waited for them to get a block or so away from the museum by a block or so so Museum guards wouldn't be a problem. Not that she thought she couldn't handle it. The rest of the group?...she wasn't so sure about. One of them was literally a fox after all, the pixel kid seemed like a total wimp and the twins had proved unable to join the team. Thank god.
Gilda waited for the convoy to slow slightly then dived down and drove her mace into the front cars engine block, knocking it's back wheels off of the ground. The time it took for the Van to drive around should be enough for her ally's to grab on to something. She then focused her attention on the second car. "Party is officially started!" she said, flying by it and knocking off one of the mirrors.

| "Whoa! What was that?". The Museum guard sat in the passenger seat said, as the van had turned the corner, he and his co-worker caught just a glimpse of the mace slamming into the car that was supposed to be escorting them as they transferred Museum property. "I don't know, but we ain't sticking around for long".
Said the driver, rather anxiously - you never knew what may happen in this town. Pressing his foot down, the Van would turn around and rush off in the opposite direction; not wishing the same fate as the other car. Discussion continued between the two, confused about what had happened, scared and nervous. The two were so caught up with the situation, that just in time the driver had put on the brakes; the van slowly coming to a screeching stop as stood in front of them, only a couple yards away was a young girl. "Hey, we're sorry! Are you alright?".
Called out one of the men, the two rather relieved they had stopped in time. But on  hindsight, maybe driving on was the best option. The girl was of course Quinn, who stepped a yard to the right; revealing her ring blade. Clutching the weapon, she would launch it towards the two with ease. The ring blade hurled through the air at pace, impaling through the windshield; shattering the glass and as a result, killing both men.
But there was one left, sat in the back of the van with the goods and oblivious to what had gone on. At least until the windshield shattered. Quinn ran towards the van, picking up her ring blade and heading onto the roof of the van. The two back doors swung open wide, and out-stepped a guard, gun in hand. But as he turned around, Quinn leapt off. She tackled the guard to the floor, her hand grasping the guard by the throat; holding him to the floor whilst Quinn landed on all fours more or less. With the guard helpless, Quinn then leant in to bite him on his neck. Her fangs pierced the guard's skin, as swiftly he was injected with poison. With that done, Quinn stepped away, getting back to her feet. In front of her the man wsa withering in pain; frothing at the mouth as the poison flushed through his system; wreaking havoc upon his body untill eventually his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he died. It didn't take long at all.
"C'mon Tails, we ain't got all day!". Quinn would say into her earpiece. Her job was done, a job she was far too familiar with. Only Tails and Mario left.

| "Alright alright jeez...I'm going to get a stitch after this" she said with a mouth full of food, washing it down with the orange juice (no backwash mind). Kitsune then split herself into five clones, making six versions of herself including the original, heading down to her position as she licked the food from her teeth, wiping her mouth with her sleeve 'that was downright delicious' she thought smiling, she only hoped that the greasy and meat filled pizza would agree with the citrusyness of the orange juice in her stomach...yeah probably not the best decision of the day. "Okay Kitsune in position" she said through the earpiece. | |

| Teamwork suited Pix down to the bone. The others had undergone the necessary exertions and exposure to danger whilst he sat and ate food prepared by someone else. Minimal effort. Unless someone expected him to pack up this picnic. That could be a bit awkward if a police helicopter arrived. Where were those twins when you needed them?
Nina had disappeared only moments before, leaving Hugh sympathetic to her inevitable trudge down the stairwell. They hadn't been very considerate for the team's non-flyer. Rooftop entries were cool, but when you took an elevator into battle it somewhat ruined the dynamics of it all. Especially with lift music playing.
Through his ear-piece, Pix got word that Nina was in position. The sprite assumed this meant the Kitsune had retrieve the diamond. That was his cue. Standing up, Hugh allowed an ill wind to dispose of the picnic for him, pizza boxes and juice cartons gusting over the ledge to a steep drop below. HIVE didn't even do littering by halves.
He stepped upon a pixel platform and coasted from roof-to-roof until he could see the van at a birds-eye view. There were a sufficient number of people about for TIBERIUS' ruse to work. In the distance, Hugh could already make out the flashing blue lights of police. A bystander had likely called the robbery in. Without further ado he unleashed a menagerie of pixels he had on hand. The mass settled over the street like a sandstorm as the first response units neared.

| Gilda decided that, with all that was going on, her team mates closing in, and the object they were after soon to be stolen, her job was soon going to be over. The only car left wasn't much of a threat. She supposed the police that were coming up could be one, but Pix seemed to have that coming. She decided she could leave as soon as this was all over.
Gilda raised up into the air and looked over everything. It was going really smoothly and cleanly, other than that psycho girl killing someone. That didn't seem necessary...but it wasn't that big a deal, still, Gilda now knew she never wanted to put her life in that girl's hands....or get bit by her. "Hurry it up guys. Pixelboy can't keep the cops at bay forever."

| Quinn remained near the van that held the diamond they were after. With her blood stained metallic ring blaade beside her, leaving against the van. Quinn was leaning back as well, hands clasped behind her head, with her left leg raised slightly, pressed back against the van. All she had to do was wait here for now, may as well enjoy the fresh air and the view... despite the casualties. It was quite pleasent really. Waiting there, Quinn would whistle to herself. Just looking to pass the time. Sirens from the backup police cars could be heard, but any who got near would suffer the same fate as their friends. | |

| Nina leapt into the van and wrapped the diamond up in a very nicely decorated furoshiki*, putting it into one of her kimono sleeves she jumped out of the van and split into her clones, all running off in separate directions past the police, the real one heading down an alleyway to the arranged manhole, opening it up and disappearing down it in a matter of seconds while her other clones confused the police on a wild goose chase. - * The furoshiki.:

| ((OOC: I assume we're wrapping this up?))
The subsequent police report on the matter amounted largely to guesswork. All trails ran cold despite the claim that four different pursuits of fugitives were launched. In each case the fugitive was described as a lithe girl sporting a fox tail not dissimilar to Furry circles. The fandom was henceforth put under intense scrutiny in hopes of uncovering a lead. Each of these thieves vanished without so much as a trace, escaping officers entirely. A witness statement was adamant that the girl he saw had vanished into thin air.
The pixel storm ended as abruptly as it began, leaving residents to remark on what strange weather they were experiencing this Fall. Its origin was unknown. Though Officer Jean felt it linked to some punk 'metty' his squad had tried to bring in before.
Such suspicions were further raised by the analysis of the damaged cars. Survivors of this attack were shaken, and their testimony dubious, though they swore some harpy had descended right before their vehicles were knocked around like bowling pins. Craters were visible in the metal from an unknown weapon. The local precinct has since invested considerably in anti-bird netting.
Finally, the autopsy report on the froth-laiden guardsman was unsettling. The attackers had used poison to kill this man, a particular brand of poison not encountered by modern science. A subtle way of saying - without an antidote. Security was doubled around the Jump City reservoir. Bottled water sales at the corner shop nearby the police station quadrupled.
From this the conclusion was drawn that the diamonds had been seized by metahuman involvement. Though no one venture to explain why multiple metahumans would be present on the same crime. The black days of super-powered crime syndicates were a thing of the past.
Gradually the police put this incident behind them and let it rest, an uneasy possibility dwelling in the back of their minds. Meanwhile, said police report mysteriously disappeared from records. Who could explain how?
