Mission: (Total Opposite Of) Impossible [Open]

Midtown is the location we find ourselves – the richest and eventful part of the City. It was a fairly standard day, bright, the sun shining down as the residents of Jump City went about their business. The Museum of World History is the location, it’s usual busy self. Walking into the building was a teenage girl, dressed in the Uniform of the Murakami High School, her brunette hair held in lopsided pigtails. Innocent would be the best word to describe her, nothing suspicious at all – high school kids come see the museum every single day. The girl would skip her way through the various rooms, humming a tune as she went. In her hand was a note which she continually looked at. On the note, printed there was a picture of an artefact; it appeared to be a book of some sort. Tattered and torn, on it was a title written in Latin. The picture was clearly a reference of some kind; perhaps she was doing a school report on the book? Regardless, the girl soon came to a stop. She was standing in front of the book, resting upon a platform behind a velvet rope. A small smirk appeared across the face of the girl, glancing around as she checked her surroundings. There was only a few other people in the room with her; scattered about in small groups, discussing various things. A security guard on patrol passed through, standing by one of the entrances on patrol.

With nobody appearing to be watching her, the girl reached out and grabbed the book. The alarm was set off, blaring throughout the museum as attention was drawn to her location. With the book tightly gripped in hand, the girl would dart through the room. A security guard stepped out in front of her, but she gracefully slid between his legs, and back up to her feet; beginning to run towards the exit. Another guard joined the other giving chase behind her, whilst she was running towards more. The girl ran towards them, swiftly diverting to the wall nearby. She leapt up against it, pushing herself off to elevate over their heads. She ran out the front entrance now, with four to five security guards giving chase. An alleyway, the girl ran down; through a horde of homeless who the security had a bit of trouble getting through. A steel gate was ahead, but the girl leapt towards it, climbing up and over; landing down on her two feet. The security guards reached the steel gate as well, beginning to climb after. But the girl had already created a great deal of distance. Continuing down the alley, she leapt up onto a closed dumpster; jumping up to grab onto the fire escape. She pulled herself up, and then began running up the stairs towards the roof.

Reaching the roof, the girl continued her stride as she ran across the roof. As she reached the edge, she leapt off without any hesitation, reaching the next building along. She continued her run as if nothing happened, She ran across another rooftop, leaping off once again and just managing to cross the clearing between buildings. A roll would be utilized upon landing, rolling up to a single knee. She glanced back, and saw nobody behind her; mission complete. Standing up tall, the girl held the book out in front of her with one hand, the other raised near her ear; pressing a small button – she was wearing an ear piece.

“Told ‘ya I would make it in an’ out without a problem. Jus’ be sure my pay check is ready for pick-up. Back soonnn! Bye-bye-byeeee”

Earlier, almost exactly at the same time as the girl who stole the book, a male student wearing the exact same uniform as the girl came to do a report on a really old book they had on display, the exact same as the one she stole. Despite her belief, she was noticed stealing the book by the boy himself, looks like being naturally ignored by girls helps in some situations, he ran after her, he wasn't quite as fast as her, but he was able to keep her in his sights, he followed her as well as he could, when they came into the alleyway he waited until she had climbed the fire escape then put on a black mask and took off his shirt superman style to reveal a black skintight suit designed for stealth underneath. He followed her up the fire escape You were right with one thing, you did make it out without a problem, however, you aren't going to see that guy later.

Green had been at the museum as well. He was planning on designing a completely new form of Pocket Monster, which was going to be based on the Egyptian Gods, such as Horus or Osirus. It would be difficult to find an animal with that body style, but he'd come up with it soon enough. As he left, he heard a rather loud guard coupled with the museum's alarm and turned around to see a girl shove past him, holding something under her arm and Green sighed, watching her run up the side of the wall. "Well...that's not something you see every day." He said, running into the alleyway after her.

Green had already fallen behind and knew he didn't have much time to catch up, jumping onto the wall next to the fence and using it as a springboard to jump over, landing and breaking off into a sprint after her. Green then turned the corner to the dumpster just a few moments after she'd disappeared from sight. Checking the nearby street, she was nowhere to be found, so the only way to go must have been up.

Jumping onto the dumpster he sprang off of it and onto the fire escape, sprinting up the stairs and hiding, barely able to see her. He then unclipped the sphere from his belt and threw it onto the building in front of him to reveal his telepath, Alakazam. With very little instruction needed, Alakazam used his psychic abilities to lift the book away from the girl, bringing it back to Green who caught it and jumped across the rooftops, now on the same one as Alakazam and one away from the girl herself. "Well that was either really desperate or stupid. I wonder which." He taunted, flipping the hair from his eyes. "You didn't disable any alarms, you didn't incapacitate the guards, you just kinda ran. That's not a plan. So I'm curious, are you desperate or just plain stupid?"

It seems that Quinn had attracted far more attention than she had perceived or thought she would get. It's just a book after all, not some ancient Gem with obvious worth. The voice of one hero had caught her attention. She turned around to look at the suited up vigilante stood before her. A chuckle, as she saw what he was wearing - heroes and villains alike could really do with a personal stylist. A snicker, she responded back; attacking his attire. She never really cared for crime fighters, as they have never been a problem for her, just a nuisance. "Gotta say, tha' skin tight suit jus' ain't workin' for 'ya".

Quinn felt the tug of the book being telepathically pulled away from her, trying to resist the strength of the pull but she lost all her grip. Eyes locked onto the book, Quinn gave chase after it, trying to reach out and grab it. Her efforts useless. Reaching the edge of the building, Quinn came to a halt, her focus remaining on the book, watching as it drifted into the possession of a boy and his... thing. So it seemed this was some kind of set up, a two on one ambush of sorts. A bit much surely? After all, Quinn's just a sweet innocent schoolgirl, she wouldn't harm a fly! "Hows 'bout you come over here an' find out for 'ya self".

Kris stood on the roof, this was the roof he'd used just to chill, now there was about to be a fight? He sighed, dressed in the Murakami uniform and with a cigarette in his mouth. He walked over to see what was going on, pistol in hand. "What the Hell is happening here?" His guild tattoo wasn't covered with his usual bandage, the school dress code didn't allow for it, they'd prefer to see the tattoo apparently. Anyway, he looked over the scene, a dude with some creature, and another dude in skin tight black which didn't leave much to the imagination. He shook his head, this is what was stopping him from relaxing?

Dagger ignored the comment on his suit, he'd dealt with people making fun of him all his life, one more wouldn't hurt him, he took out a knife and threw it at the girl, his aim was accurate, if the girl didn't react in time she'd get a knife to the neck, he mentally reminded himself to thank Shawn for this. He noticed the appearance of a second and a third stranger, but ignored them.

Green shrugged and Alakazam focused on both of the humans in front of him. "Nah, I'm perfectly fine over here. I got back what you stole so...I don't really care anymore." Then the knife flew and Alakazam immediately focused on the threat. He used his telekinetic powers to halt it almost immediately after it was thrown and turn it around, stabbing it into the stone roof in front of Dagger.

Green looked back down, not having even noticed the ordeal and gave him an icy glare. "You're out of your mind!" He yelled at the assassin. "She's a kid you moron! You can't just go throwing knives at them! Especially not at the neck!" He then unhooked another sphere from his belt and held it up threateningly. "Alright, I got back the stolen property so both of you had best get back to your lives or I'm gonna have to get serious."

So far, Quinn would purely seem to the others to be any ordinary schoolgirl – apart from some of her movement. Nobody was at all too aware of what she could do, or what she was capable of. That may change however, there was a piece of property to get back. A glance back towards the hero dressed in his skin tight suit, Quinn would spot the supposed ‘hero’ throw a dagger towards her. Fortunately enough, it seems that weird, monster, thing had put a halt to that attempt. Still, it wasn’t a nice course of action. Arms folded across her chest, Quinn spun round to face the hero, a small smirk creeping up onto her face as she spoke; “You could’ve had my eye out!”.

A quick run up, Quinn pushed herself off from the ledge, leaping up into the air, spinning in a 720 degree motion before landing on the roof opposite, where the monster and his master appeared to be. With a bright smile, Quinn would step a few steps closer, her hand held out in front of her as she asked for her book back. “Buuuut, I need it. Can’t I just, have a little read of it? A small loosky, and thennnn… I’ll give it back, promise”. Like that’s going to happen.

Green rolled his eyes, pretending to think it over. "Oh man...I just dunno." He then did a backflip onto the small structure behind him which lead to the stairwell. "This is a super rare copy. It'd be like...a gajillion dollars to replace, ya know?" Alakazam was recalled to his ball and the one in Green's hand opened, spawning a huge reptilian looking creature. He was purple and had spikes all over his body and let out a roar before picking up the girl by the back of her shirt.

"I'll tell ya what kiddo, this is my buddy Nidoking. You two can have fun while I return this to the proper owner, mkay?" He then hopped off his perch and started walking toward the fire escape humming.

Kris saw this happen and laughed, though that book looked expensive. Kris thought for a second before putting his pistol back into his holster and walking over to the guy with the monsters. He was grinning this was causing trouble, maybe he should take it and set things right. Kris took out a couple smoke bombs and threw them around the master before slipping in and going for the book. If all went well he'd be in and out before anyone noticed, if not? Well let's just hope this guy was bulletproof.

Well, this wasn't at all what Quinn had expected when she first woke up this Morning - being picked up by some huge reptilian monster. But Quinn wouldn't remain in the grasp of the beast for too long. She would look into the eyes of the reptile, a bright smile before producing an acidic spit; shot into the eyes. With the smoke shrouding the area by Kris, this proved to be quite stressful for the beast; dropping Quinn.

Now covered in a fog of smoke, Quinn could finally do something. Opening comms on her earpiece, Quinn uttered the words; 'Angelus Mortis'. Quinn was giving an order to the Guild of Assassins that she was a part of. If she's going to be fighting a reptilian monster, she needs a weapon. Within just a few seconds, a rather large sharp metallic ring could be seen being shot from nowhere into the thick smoke. Quinn with her right arm raised would catch the ring blade in her hand, gripping it tightly. Lowering the weapon, Quinn scanned around the smoke filled rooftop for each of the three targets. Before the smoke had filled the place, she had spotted the master of the creature head for the fire escape with the book. Bingo! Quinn ran towards the fire escape, leaping off the rooftop down onto it, blocking the path for anyone coming down, with the weapon held back, ready to strike.

He frowned at the man with the weird monsters who stopped his attack She stole the book, she's a criminal, you're the real bad guy if your just going to take the book back and then let her get away then to the girl when she complained That was the point, killing people like you is the only real way to stop them then the girl was picked up by the purple thing, he took out another knife to try again, but the smoke bombs were used before he could aim Crap! he tried to find the girl in the smoke but he couldn't.
