| A back alley deal in the slums of Jump City. A meeting between a supplier and one of the local gangs. "You got my money?" the supplier demanded warily.
"Only if you have the stuff," the buyer retorted. Both sides had plenty of back up staring the other down, waiting for this to turn bad. After checking the goods, a suitcase of money was brought out. "Pleasure doing business with you," the buyer said and then... %#!@ hit the fan.
"What the hell is that?" a gang member exclaimed as a big black shadow suddenly sprang off from one of the buildings above them. Fire crackled to life around one of the figure's fists, illuminating the face of an eight foot tall superhuman. Anyone near his landing zone cleared out, but it didn't matter as he drove his fist into the ground and released the flames around his hand in a fiery shockwave. Sending thugs flying, Inferno's body went on auto-pilot as he barreled toward the closest guy and grabbed him by the face before he could draw his pistol.
Inferno then hurled the man into the supplier's group, bowling several men over as he started lancing streams of fire at his enemies. There was panic, and screaming as you could imagine with being lit on fire as Inferno tried to shield himself from bullets as he barreled toward his attackers. After a short skirmish, only Inferno was left standing to claim the spoils. One of his contacts told him where this meeting would be and what was going down.
Inferno didn't care who he was stomping as long as it meant he'd get some extra cash. Plus he could always sell the goods himself and get even more money! "Well, my old offer seems pretty good now in hindsight don't it?" Inferno commented to the charred remains of the supplier. He had originally been approached as a potential bodyguard or bagman for this deal, but the supplier wasn't happy with Inferno's offer. If only the guy hadn't been dumb enough to say his name, Inferno may have not been here had his contact not dropped his name.
While counting the cash, the hair on the back of his neck bristled. You know that feeling that you're being watched? "Subject located. Initial analysis shows minor injuries from ballistic weaponry," a mechanically synthesized voice intoned. Inferno looked over his shoulder and saw who... or what was speaking. It was some kind of robot, but little did Inferno know, it was a robotic duplicate of Robin, the former leader of the Teen Titans before they mysteriously vanished.
"What the hell are you supposed to be? A traffic light?" Inferno chuckled mockingly, turning around to have a better look. Whoever made this thing really had no taste in colors.
"Says the giant, flaming red head," the robot quipped, drawing a slightly thicker then normal, collapsible bo-staff.
"A talking tin can with a metal stick? This shouldn't take long," Inferno smirked, popping his knuckles.
"Engaging combat mode. All systems go. Commencing Hostilities!" the duplicate exclaimed, suddenly shouldering it's bo-staff which quickly and suddenly changed into a bazooka. Firing off an explosive shell, Inferno leaped and avoided it, touching down and charging toward the metal pain in the ass.
"That's more like it tin man!" Inferno grinned taking a swing at his metal opponent, missing as the robot ducked under the attack and knocked him off his feet with a single back kick. An obvious difference between this robotic clone and the real Robin is the robot is stronger. Picking himself up, Inferno was put on the defensive as his robotic attacker lounged forward with a series of jabs and swipes with it's bo-staff.
Blocking or barely dodging each attack, Inferno retaliated with a fierce roundhouse kick that soared over his attacker's head as it bent over backward, popping back up and counter attacking with a head butt... his head literally shot out of his neck from a piston and hit Inferno in the torso. Now Inferno was starting to get pissed. Regaining his footing, Inferno lanced a large stream of fire straight at his attacker... only to realize too late that the fire had no effect when the robot came flying in with a flying kick straight for Inferno's face!
"You're starting to really piss me off!" Inferno growled, spitting out blood as he got to his feet, grabbed one of the gang's cars and throwing it at the robot. The robot jumped over it, using it's forward momentum to spring forward and try jabbing Inferno with an electrical prod at the end of it's bo-staff, but Inferno counter attacked this with a swift punch to it's metal face.
Sending it flying into a dumpster, Inferno dusted himself off. And then, the ground at his feet was suddenly bombed and sent him flying. "What the #%!$ was that?" Inferno swore, rolling to his feet and looking up as several more of these robots leaped down, drawing bo-staffs and tonfas. And the other one he attacked wasn't down either, as it sliced it's way out of the dumpster with a pair of laser cutters. "The dump's gonna get full fast if you crome domes keep coming out of the word work," Inferno taunted, rolling his shoulders and mentally preparing for a long night.

| He had no idea that, rather than a fellow hero, which is what Metamorphi thought, the giant man was just a violence-thirsty bad guy who wanted to hurt one guy and ended up beating up the rest of gang members. Nethertheless, when the robots came, he lept on top of one from above in a steel form, knocking it too the ground, but that was not quite enough to finish it either, so he got pushed off then the robot lept to it's feet, taking out a bo staff These things are #%!$ing tough! | |

| The robotic attackers were actually momentarily caught off guard, clearly not expecting for someone to actually come to Inferno's aid. "Target analyzed, Metamorphi. Adjusting combat parameters," one of the robots stated as Inferno broke into a charge.
"They better be if they think they can fight me head on!" Inferno bellowed, charging straight through the group and forcing them to scatter to avoid him. Spinning back around, Inferno grabbed a nearby trash can and hurled it high speed at one of the robots. It skillfully dodged, and retaliated with a disk that it fired from it's hand.
Inferno dodged it and charged forward into one group of the robotic clones.
The other group focused on Metamorphi meanwhile. The arm of one robot popped open, parts inside whirring and rearranging into some kind of launcher as alittle scouter unfolded over one of it's eyes. The others went in for close range, high powered electrical prods popping out of the ends of their weapons. They were built to take down Inferno, so it was their belief that since Metamorphi was currently steel, their weapons would be that more effective.
The melee group coordinated their attacks, effectively ganging up on Metamorphi while the launcher fired a missle from it's arm. A specially designed tracking missle with emphasis on the tracking.
Inferno meanwhile, was having a hard time hitting anything due to the fact they were programmed to fight like Robin. In other words, they were far more skilled then he was. "Stand still and let me turn ya into scrap!" Inferno demanded, swinging at one robot, kicking at another one, but they were just too fast for him and they retaliated with their own shocking attacks. Inferno roared with pain, grabbing an electrical prod and tearing it out of it's owners hands before ramming into the robot with his shoulder.
Another one attacked from the back, but Inferno was waiting with a backhanded punch that sent it flying into a wall. If not for his aura now burning, Inferno would probably not be able to stand from those attacks. "I hate tazers..." Inferno thought with a growl, now armed with a weapon of his own.

| Metamorphi knew he had no chance against that many robots surrounding him, so he decided to become paper and, with his decreased weight, lept out of the group, the missile came after him Crap! he couldn't avoid it forever, he quickly switched to the hardest material he could think of, when it hit, it exploded and sent him flying far, he broke through a wall and out the other side, only to be stopped by a third wall, which still fell. The things came after him, so he had no choice but to switch to Rubber, which rendered the tasers inneffective, he used the opening to slam one in the face with a steel fist, it made the robot stagger a bit, but did not do too much. | |

| Two robots lounged at Inferno, one aiming high with it's bo-staff, and the other low for his legs using it's tonfas. Inferno simply swung his new toy and clubbed them both, hearing the weapon snap as both robots were sent flying into the air. One snapped it's arm back and revealed a long barrel that Inferno recognized as a forty four and on instinct, moved just in time to avoid a bullet whizzing by his head.
Barreling forward, the robot simply burst apart. Limbs flying this way and that, it's body and head flying over Inferno as he passed before all the parts reattached themselves. It's friends shouldered their bo-staffs and fired bazookas at Inferno, blasting the area around him and sending him flying through a wall. Someone REALLY wanted Inferno dead...
Metamorphi's robotic friends had to quickly adapt to this new change. Their suped up tazers wouldn't do anything to him in that state, but that didn't mean they didn't have any weapons that wouldn't work on him. Robin carried his own arsenal of throwing weapons to take down just about anything he may encounter. Which is why they backed up and pushed their hands out, firing off a volley of freeze disks. If that didn't work, two of them would turn their hands into mini-gattling guns and fire a stream of bullets at him for several seconds.
And then the sound of police sirens came into range, prompting both groups of robots to pause. "Order to retreat acknowledged. We'll deal with you guys later," one robot from both groups said smugly, throwing down a flash bang to blind Inferno and Metamorphi before they cleared out.
"Sonofa! You think you can piss me off and run away? Where are ya?" Inferno bellowed, furious as he stumbled around blindly, taking out a couple walls in a blind fury. It was no use, they were gone now. And HE was at a crime scene... who do you think the cops were gonna believe made this mess? Someone with a criminal record, reason for being here, and most likely person to make this mess? Or a bunch of robots that mysteriously weren't here any more?
Blinking several times to try and clear his vision, Inferno tried to quickly find the brief case full of money. He was NOT leaving empty handed

| Unfortunately for Metamorphi, it takes a very agile man to dodge so many attacks, no matter how easy to dodge on it's own, while he was slightly agile, it just wasn't enough, the freeze batarangs all got him, but he was able to jump slightly so his head wasn't covered and he was able to raise his arms above the danger zone, he turned his body back to normal and smashed the ice Come at me! But before his challenge could be met, or even acknowledged, the police sirens could be heard and the Robo-Robins retreated. He wished he was part of an official team that were allied with the police of their town, like the Titans before they vanished, but sadly he wasn't, so he had to flee the police as well, but he couldn't see, he recovered quicker than Inferno and started to leave. But he found a briefcase on the ground and picked it up What is this? | |

| Everything was still blurred or spinning for Inferno as he stumbled around for a moment looking for that brief case, spotting the blurred shape of another guy holding something up. Regardless of whether or not he was right, Inferno barreled toward Metamorphi. "Hey! That's mine shorty! I didn't just go through all this %#!@ for you to take my money!" Inferno said as if he actually had any ownership of that brief case, and unless MM moved, he was about to get punched in the face- or not. It was still hard to see at the moment. | |

| Metamorphi saw the punch coming and ducked to the side to avoid it, but he wasn't fast enough, the fist swung right for his face, then missed What the hell? he sighed, he wasn't in the mood If you want the briefcase, just take it. Then he threw it too the floor and just let Inferno do whatever he wanted. | |

| One figure watched the ruckus from above, feet dangling lazily off the edge of a building as they dragged a small stone across glittering steel with a sharp echoing snnkt. Goggles glimmering in the light, a faded pallor green, sickly looking as a small bit of condensation escaped the steel mask wrapped around his face. It was a cool night he had to admit, as he silently watched with tired eye's hidden behind goggles, that sharp scraping sound echoing out as he sharpened his blade as he watched the large man with interest, he broke up the...deal he was coming to deal with, his father didn't like it when these things happened in his controlled turf but the large flame touting man did the job for him as he gave a cold chuckle, his hoodie flapping in the breeze as he slowly began to slide off the edge, going into a gentle free fall.
Before landing on the ground with a hard thud, the katana resting against his shoulder, the blade red like blood as he gave a whispered greeting, "hi and thanks," course that would probably confuse them. Because why would a stranger thank another stranger? other than, say, giving aide where aide was due or not due. He chuckled again, rolled his shoulders and tapped the back of the weapon against his shoulder with a soft tapping thud as metal met thick cloth. "Thank you for clearing up something I was tasked with clearing up. But I'll be taking the money, family business." He said with that same tired little voice, soft and barely raised more than a whisper as he walked over to the case and bent down to pick it up.

| He missed! How annoying! Inferno was totally blaming those robots for this. It wouldn't have been so bad, had Inferno not also fallen due to tripping over some debris. Totally not what he was hoping for. "Damn robots! Thinking I'd be easy pickings after dealing with those gang members," Inferno said quickly springing back to his feet as if nothing had happened.
And then some one else joined their little party. Inferno knew he was popular, but these guys really needed to leave him alone! His eyes widened when the other guy reached down for the case, to which Inferno retaliated with a burst of fire. "You're crazy if you think you're gonna take money I rightfully earned!" Inferno growled, barreling toward Nick, hands burning with fire before he lobbed a pair of fireballs Nick's way. The sirens continued to draw closer, getting much louder. Not that Inferno cared at the moment, he was still pretty juiced from that brawl earlier... and there was no way in hell this guy was getting that money without a fight.

| Metamorphi had no place in this battle, he really didn't care what happened, so he ran before the police could get there. | |

| As soon as his hand touched the handle, a gout of flame washed over him as he blinked, once, twice then looked at Inferno with an exasperated sigh. The blade radiated with it's own form of malice and bloodlust like a choking fog as he danced back and away, the suitcase still held firmly in his free, and most importantly, unharmed hand. The amount of concentration to protect his fingers was rather light in comparison to his whole body, as he danced back and back again, ducking under the balls of fire before giving a sudden stab forward. The blade hummed serenely, softly with an unseen deathly sharpness as the energy permeated around it, vibrated the blade and gave it force enough to slice metal like paper, and flesh like air. In a contrast, Nicolas was the eye of the hurricane, calm and focused as he swung the suitcase, aimed it for the brute's ribcage, a heavy bludgeoning sheath around the improvised weapon that could crush concrete to powder and bend steel like rubber.
He wasn't playing around, neither was the brute in front of him. Finesse vs brutality, graceful calm vs a human wrecking ball as he stared out from those goggles with tired, wary eyes. Those same eyes that saw blood and death, blood and death and watched as people gave their muffled screams as he cleaned them from the gene pool, wiped their filth free of the world and he felt....little remorse. The man before him? Just another speck of dirt, just another little spot that was getting in his way and he couldn't allow that at all.

| Inferno's aura was weaker now, but it was still there. Not that it would make an enormous difference as he swung one of his gauntlet clad fists AT the sword. His aim wasn't to block it, but rather push it away. Which he did at the cost of the blade easily slicing through a portion of his gauntlet. That was a nifty sword there!
He was still chasing after Nick, not losing momentum as the ninja swung the suitcase at him. Now that was a laughable idea! Or it would have been had he not empowered it. Using one arm to protect his flank, that little suitcase hurt ALOT more then it should have, forcing a pained grunt out of Inferno as he retaliated with a straight punch that ended with a fiery blast at near point blank range.
The sirens were now incredibly loud, indicating that if the cops weren't here already, they would be in the next minute or so.

| Nicolas was pleased that the blade and the suit case had some effect against the brute, maybe not a lot but it was something. Something he could work with as he felt his back touch a brick wall, a little twinge of surprise working onto his face as he threw the briefcase in front of him, in front of that fist and immediately protected his body with a dense aura made of sound waves and pressure, pushing outwards from his body with a barely audible hum. If the brute didn't stop that punch he'd fry the money to cinders but even if he did, Nicolas was guaranteed safety with that aura ready to absorb the majority of the blow that was coming for him. But if the brute did take pause, by some chance the thought of ruining the money came to the forefront of his thoughts, Nicolas would simply aim his sword diagonally for Inferno's shoulder, act like he was going to drop it and n that same motion, go for another stabbing lunge, for the man's knee this time.
Cripple the beast and you get some breathing room, enrage the beast and you get less time to think but at the same time take away it's ability to think rationally and make tactile decisions; Recklessness can kill, while thinking and planning can make the killer. What was this person, a beast or a man. Nicolas would find out soon enough.

| Unfortunately, Inferno was totally cool with burning through some cash. So the fiery blast incinerated the suitcase, and tried to keep going when Nick backed up into a wall. But the flames couldn't touch Nick, which Inferno noticed but was hell bent on capitalizing on this. If his opponent wanted to hide behind a barrier, he'd make him work at saving his skin! Inferno pushed his hands out and sent two roaring streams of fire from his hands, manipulating the flames to expand around Nick in an attempt to envelope his barrier. Surely he wouldn't be able to maintain it for long, whereas Inferno could keep up the pressure as long as he stayed well enough away from the hot backwash, and nothing else ruined his concentration.
The sirens were deafening for a moment, and then they stopped to the sound of tires screeching. "Damnit," Inferno grit his teeth, ceasing his flamethrowers. "I'd love to get some payback for losing my money, but I'm not in the mood to deal with the heat tonight," Inferno remarked, suddenly taking off into the air with a mighty leap. He never said he wasn't in the mood to continue this fight, just that he didn't want to deal with the police.
