Paradox 62aeb12d-41b3-42b5-b29a-906d4159cd37_zps9dbb4b2a

===IDENTITY===

Full Name: - Test Subject 2137

Nickname(s): - Paradox

Codename: - She only goes by Paradox

Alias(es): - "The Lost One" or "That ass%#!$ who went the other way"

Age: - Around 15, nobody knows for sure.

Classification: - Genetically modified human

Affiliation: - Neutral

===PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION===

Hair Color: - A medium brown with streaks of darker versions within the same general color.

Eye Color: - She has deep, dark brown eyes (though when she uses her powers they glow silver and blue)

Height: - 5'2

Weight: - 100-102 pounds

Other Physical Traits: - Her body is covered in old scars. At the center of her backside there is a circular and glowing device made of metal and energy, it sends tendrils of thin plating along not only her back, but also the aster of her limbs. The same circular device on her spine is replicated into smaller versions at the palms of her hands and the bottoms of her feet.

===POWERS===

Powers: - She is a genetically modified super human. Not only is she more intelligent, stronger, faster, swifter, and more graceful then even the most capable natural person, but also has the abilities to control certain energies. The built in bio-technology attached to her has the ability to shoot and create balls/beams of said energy, and can allow her certain times of flight, technology recharge, and shielding. In more specific terms, her physical strength at her top platform can easily match that of lifting around 1900 kilograms, she can run at up to around 70 miles an hour, with the ability to go way faster with assistance from her natural boosters. When she flies she has estimated going at over 100 miles per hour (when in control, that is). She also has a very advanced healing factor.

The energy she is able to control is a centralized electric frequency gathered by her bodies natural censors. With the assistance of the circular control panels amongst her person, she is able to create the beams using shear will alone. The energy (usually blue) can take the forms of cylindrical electrical "rockets" of sorts, propelling themselves forward with the matter manipulation when she chooses to engage such an ability. She can also manipulate the beams to take certain shapes, specifically:

Energy:

* Energy bolts/shots can take many forms. Orbs can range from have the absolute smallest circumference measurable to a ball as far as hundreds of feet across. Usually the orbs tend to be on the cooler side of the temperature scale, able to drop to 0 degrees Celsius or raising to 66 degrees Celsius. The disks are very flat forms of the energy, sometimes appearing in X's, circles, or the occasional crescent moon. As the orbs are usually lower in heat, the disks tend to be much much much higher, able to exceed 2500 degrees Celsius at controlled usage (this is without further measurement, though she can reach higher heat signatures she prefers to not use them as they are easily traceable).

*The Energy Shield: She sends this expansion of energy in a dome over herself, or even others (foreign objects on occasion as well). They can withstand up to 7500 kilograms for a certain period of time depending on how thick and wide the shield is. The thicker and wider, the less it can take. She can also place up walls instead for immediate assaults, which can take the same assailments as the domes.

*Technology Manipulation: She can send minuscule particles of her energy source into non-living thing, providing the ability to basically alter or recharge the thing. If something goes wrong, the energy can cause an implosion, enclosing on the functions and separating it with a charge of high power in order to cause such a meltdown.

*Flight: She uses the power sources all across her body to basically propel herself forward at astonishing speeds and rates (the specifics were stated earlier, I believe). The flight ability allows her to go against most severe weather and other natural/unnatural hazards. She can fight while mid-air, as well as put to usage her other energy abilities. She is NOT limited to one at a time.

Altered Physiology:

*Strength: Even without engulfing her fists or feet in energy orbs, her strength can reach impressive heights. As stated before it can easily lift around 1900 kilograms (about 7.5 tons), and that is when she is tired and unassisted. She can actually triple that. This strength also goes into her endurance, allowing her to withstand attacks and hits which would render another person unconscious or even dead. She can brush those off easily.

*Endurance: Capable of withstanding most attacks with magical, cold, or hot origin. Severe pressure placed on her body has hardly any effect. She can go for an extensive period of time in harsh weather or physical conditions. Radioactive sources take a much longer time to cause harm to her then it would most beings. She can proceed for extended periods in sections prone to natural or unnatural radiation.

*Healing Factor: Paradox's healing factor is simply a medical breakthrough. It only gets better and better as she grows older and stronger. She has had her limbs cut off, but is able to reattach them with ease. This enables her to take blows and recover quickly. Broken bones or physically cracked anatomy has little to no effect depending on where it hits (in the more critical areas, it takes a bit of time, around several hours). Of course, there are times when it is not as good as it should be. There has been a couple of incidents in which she found herself unable to recover as fast as her body is built to be accustom to, and this on-and-off sequence disturbs her greatly. In specific terms, her cells are able to rebuild broken or torn sections of her anatomy, putting to use tendrils of energy which focus on an electronic healing point in the needed area.

Reflexes:

Her reflexes are almost instantaneous. This provides a great advantage in nearly any situation. She can dodge bullets if she is aware of their upcoming occurrence. These reflexes come from her advanced senses (hearing, smell, sight, ect ect) and are put to usage sub-consciously. She reacts with remarkable speed when needed, allowing her to catch things, avoid things, respond to things.....the general works.

Skills: - She is extremely skilled with martial arts, though is only somewhat flexible. Her stamina is highly advanced, as well as her endurance. She can go certain lengths of time without breathing and is able to survive in very high altitudes for prolonged periods of time. One of her special talents is the fact that she can create and fix most mechanical/technological devices (she can take apart something and build it back from mere memory in record time), and can build a great many weapons using this ability. Though she may not have the best aim with weaponry not built by herself, she is not as bad as she COULD be regarding foreign technologies. She knows the anatomy of the human body better than most, using her vast knowledge on usual physical weak spots to take down enemies that are far larger then herself. Also, when she feels the desire to, she can be highly emotionally manipulative with her opponent. Her mind is sharp and precise when doing anything (especially fighting), causing her to be utterly ruthless and use her enemies skills against themselves.

Weaknesses: - She is confused in the sense of her alignment. This is a great weakness, as she is constantly put into situations in which she has to choose. Because she is not fully mentally stable, she has certain emotional debilitatable spots which, though difficult to find, when manipulated cause dire consequences for herself. There are specific points on her body that have not been yet enhanced to their full potential, and are general physical weak sectors that can result in her loosing total control of herself. The fact that she is naturally kind and compassionate is one of her biggest weaknesses. Her occasional lack of containment is also a big thing as well. The device planted on her back is very sensitive, when attacked it renders her in a state of more damage then it would have any other area on her body. Her tailbone is also the only piece of her skeletal system that can be broken by the same amount of damage of a healthy human being as of this moment. Dark matter can collide in a negative (no pun intended. Well, sort-of intended, hehe) with her abilities. This depends on the strength of the matter/energy, but at a powerful point it can render her in a state of agonizing physical pain.

Equipment: - Paradox prefers to travel lightly, though when she takes items with her they are usually able to compact themselves into smaller cases. She has some blades along her body for back-up, as well as various blasters and explosives cleverly hidden amongst her person. Because she is always on the run, most of her supplies are manageably hidden on her own body. She would much rather use herself to fight, opposed to assistance by other weapons despite her large quantity of them, and only engages combat with said weapons when she feels a specific need. Her clothing are usually covered by a tightly fitted metal fight suit, as shown in the photograph. This suit keeps her from using her powers to their full potential, purposefully.

The Blasters:

The weapons' light outputs can travel at the velocity of light. They are to be precisely targeted. Their energy output can be controlled -- high-power for lethal outcomes or cutting and low-power for nonlethal outcomes. They are somewhat similar, better versions of the systems like Airborne Laser (Advanced Tactical Laser), the PHaSR and the Active Denial System. The blasters are semi-automatic, and have to be manually recharged by an outside power source after excessive use (around 15-20 single shots). The recharging process is fueled by energy provided by yours truly, and doesn't take longer then several minutes to go from empty to full.

Also, please do remember that though she does use the blasters, she only uses them when necessary. They would be considered her technological assault "back-up" if something went out of hand.

The Explosives:

The explosives are essentially three crescent shapes mounted on a single handle (or simply circular disks). They consist of a powerful metal alloy and are pointed to a sharp state so that they are capable of slicing through to reach a target, or getting lodged in even thick areas of intended destination/target; but the bombs can also be employed to latch onto said intended destination. In addition, Paradox can throw them so they can extend their period of time mid-air while thrown, and also are able to have a specific time set till their explosion (sometimes the times are already pre-set, though). It is a speculative radiological weapon that combines radioactive material with conventional explosives of her own creation. The purpose of the weapon is to contaminate the area around the dispersal agent/conventional explosion with radioactive material, serving primarily as an area denial device against civilians (as the usual "Dirty Bomb") OR to simply cause a small explosion without any atmospheric effects after the explosion itself has dispersed. It is also not to be confused with a nuclear explosion, such as a fission bomb, which by releasing nuclear energy produces blast effects far in excess of what is achievable by the use of conventional explosives.

The Suit:

This suit is made out of a combination type of titanium, which is exceedingly strong, and Graphene, one of the strongest materials ever tested. It conducts electricity as well. It uses Titanium 6/4 - aircraft grade titanium that consists of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is much harder than basic grade (CP) titanium, not to mention certain other metals. This grade titanium will also resist wearing to a much greater extent, as well as Titanium 6/6/2 - extra-hard titanium that consists of 86% titanium, 6% aluminum, 6% vanadium and 2% tin. This is the strongest titanium alloy on the market. It is 130% stronger than Ti-6/4, making it the best choice for tension set panels or armor. Extra-hard titanium offers the highest resistance to denting and bending. Varying on which piece of the suit you are looking to, you will find one of the levels of said Titanium. Now the Graphene is one of the several forms of carbon known as its “allotropes”. Allotropes are different structural forms of the same element, in which the same atoms go together in different ways. For example, because molecules of oxygen can bind together as two atoms – O2, which makes up a fifth of Earth’s atmosphere – or as three atoms, ozone, which protects the wearer from ultraviolet radiation.

In the case of carbon, aside from the everyday soot and charcoal, the most commonly known forms are diamond, graphite, and the fullerenes. The atoms of graphite are sheets of hexagonal lattice, while fullerenes are similar lattices arranged into shapes such as balls (Buckminsterfullerine) or cylinders (carbon nanotubes). The different forms have different properties: diamond is electrically insulating and hard; graphite is an electrical conductor and is soft. With these properties used together amongst the layers and parts of the suit, it causes an abslute perfect conductor for her natural abilities.
Graphene’s atoms are arranged in a hexagonal lattice. What differs it is that rather than being made of stacked layers, graphene is one single layer just one atom thick.
It puts to usage basic neuroscience, which she happens to have a large quantity of knowledge relating to.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Personality: - Paradox is not only confusing to most who meet her, but also to herself. She is as much of a brilliant intellectual as she is a fearsome warrior. Always feeling lost and never belonging anywhere, she has come to believe that she will never discover where she was meant to go and who she was meant to be. Though she never says it, she is about as lonely as any being could possibly get. She would also never admit the fact that deep down she craves companionship, but her trust issues and fear of hurting people she is around keeps those desires at bay. Paradox has a tendency to fool/convince herself that what she is doing is the "right thing" or what she was "meant to do", when she is actually against the activity she is tricking herself into completing. This is just as she has had herself believe that she a truly evil person, even though deep, deep down she wishes to believe otherwise. She can come off as cold, harsh, or mean, but secretly she cares deeply. Unfortunately for her, she has never had anybody to care about or to care about her in return, causing this quality to seldom be initiated. She is driven, stubborn, determined, ruthless, and never gives up. She has few fears, one of them is losing. Being exceedingly competitive she will do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals. Paradox is the kind of person who will be completely destroying you in battle one minute, and saving you from falling over a cliff the next. She hates having to hide, and prefers to fight her battles up front and personal, never sending others to do her work. Paradox will usually, (fairly) remain calm and collected, though is prone to sudden bursts of emotion (usually anger or depression, but sometimes even glimpses of joy or excitement). As stated before, she IS mentally unstable despite her otherwise strong personality and determination; she has a disease somewhat similar to schizophrenia. She hears voices in her head and can get very paranoid because of them, as they eat at her mind and memory. Paradox refuses to allow herself to trust any person, and in fear of harming others distances herself from them. My character has severe difficulty keeping her mouth shut when something needs to be said, though, and can be counted on to fight back as fiercely VERBALLY and EMOTIONALLY as she does PHYSICALLY and POWERFULLY. She loves attacking her enemies with mental blows even more then the ones to their bodies. Many see her as an un-tamable, dark, and dangerous loner. All in all, she is an outcast in the judgmental eyes of the world.
As for thought process, when it comes to fighting she thinks as quick as possible. Depending on the opponent, she is comfortable fighting head on with direct assault, or setting up traps to not only cause her enemies weaknesses to shine, but to also take advantage of their said weaknesses and win. She sees almost every situation as a battle of sort, and is ALWAYS prepared to further it in such a way.
She also has a "dark" sense of humor, which can sometimes be considered disturbing for some.
And though she is a troublesome being to work with due to her excessive lack of participating in league with another person, she would be the one to handle others whilst keeping them in check and remaining in a distant though strong position. She would hide behind the concept that holding the people together is beneficial and would bring prosperity, though she actually wishes to maintain the balance and unity required if she was in said position for personal reasons opposed to those of logic she tends to vocalize.

Strengths: - She is so intelligent and clever that her brain is even more intimidating to others then her powers, she is fast, has picturesque endurance, stamina, is quick witted as well as quick on her feet, swift, brave, adventurous, eccentric, stubborn, charming when need be, fearless emotional coverage, smart-mouthed, courageous, strong-willed, an excellent master strategist, she has her ability to manipulate others when desired, has barriers of mental strength, the ability to make most decisions instantly, having exquisite balance and grace, the type of person who has a position of leadership usually granted to them were they provided the opportunity, amongst certain other qualities deemed desirable for a human weapon.

Interests/Habits: - She loves to read, plan/plot, play chess, research various sciences, explore, tear things apart, build things, train, listen to music while she is active, study the night/space, and simply experience a challenge. For habits, she has a tendency to roll on the heels of her feet. She hardly eats at all, but when she does she goes full out and eats absolutely everything possibly consumable. During many times you will also find her whistling. But being that she almost never has any “free time” to herself, she hardly gets to engage in the small amount of activities which she finds enjoyable. She is, as to say, a basic workaholic.

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family Members: - She has no living family.

Place of Origin: - She was created in a laboratory, henceforth not being aware of any relatives (or even having any that are currently alive).

Current City: - Currently Jump/Steel City, she just arrived.

History: Paradox was to be the perfect human. She was to be the perfect fighter, the perfect person, the perfect weapon. The scientists who made her designed her to be the picturesque soldier, a model for all others. She didn’t even have a name, and was instead referred to as Test Subject 2137 (as 2136 subjects had been created before her). Every single experiment preceding died a terrible and agonizing death, as the modifications put to their bodies rejected the host, causing them to endure horribly painful physical and mental shut-downs. Those who didn’t die within a couple of weeks went utterly mad and out of control, having to be slaughtered immediately (before their abilities could entirely develop). But she was the first to be CREATED with the serum, instead of having it put into her body when she was already grown. Because her anatomy at such an early stage could literally not push it away, the enhancements joined with her instantly and without refusal. For the time of her being a simple protoform, she was kept in a tube and studied…altered…dissected. Using natural steroids caused by the devices, they quickened her growth (this is the same devices which ended up causing her aging process to stop at a certain time in her life, and though she has not yet reached that time, when she does she will no longer grow in anyway normal for a person her age). When Test Subject 2137 was not being slowly taken apart for study and modifications, she was being brutally trained and violently beaten into the “model” she was meant to be. So many things went right, and so many things went wrong. Of course there was a glitch in the cells, which affected her brain with madness unique to the others, an emotional containment very slowly and gradually eating at her mind. The torture didn’t help with that ether.

After some years, Paradox couldn’t take it anymore. She was tired of being a guinea pig that was born only to destroy. She decided to destroy of HER terms and HER terms alone. Test Subject 2137 went berserk, out of control. Even the robotic armies held within the labs were unable to stop her. She found herself with abilities she had no idea she held, with capacities for power she had thought impossible. The girl completely destroyed everything. All the labs, the experiments, the scientists, even the cities in the surrounding areas. Whole cities were brought to ashes under her corruption. She was not even able to stop herself, all she wanted to do was to end it all, but she found she couldn’t. Test Subject 2137 hated herself even more then she hated the people who had made her and ripped her apart for so long, and the hatred only grew stronger as it fueled her lack of control. But something happened. Even to this day, the girl has not the faintest clue as to what it was. In fact, she has grown to believe it was actually outside help from another towards her side that aided her. Yet it stopped. The event which caused it to stop remained blanked from her memory, providing only dark patches and strips in her hardly existing recollection. She found herself alone, in the middle of the Arctic, somehow alive, somehow still clinging to life. Her mind was faint, but her instinct kept her alive. She swore she would not only find out who she was, find out her destiny, but to also find out who…..or WHAT……stopped her reign of destruction. The girl had decided that she would no longer be controlled in the loss of control. She even gave herself a new name, based on her outlook of life as she had seen it. Paradox had been only 7 years old.

Despite everything against her (not even including the massive search parties that desperately looked for the remains of what they assumed would be the dead subject), she trained herself. She lived in the cold Arctic for a while, though found herself traveling across the oceans, the deserts, half of the world, searching for the answers to the questions so powerfully plaguing her. Test Subject 2137 was so alone that she talked to herself, only having discussions with the strange and dark figments of her vivid imagination. Wherever she went, dare she linger near other people, others seemed to sense something “wrong” with her. She was turned away in every single attempt at contact. This hardened her, living on her own with only insanity and internal power to keep her company. But she never stopped training, she never stopped learning, she never stopped searching. Little evidence found its way in her path, but what was found was held to dearly. Paradox followed tales of secret organizations, powerful beings, teams of elite fighters. During her travels she even brought down several programs similar, or even quite different at that, from the one which made her the “monster” she was. She even earned the name “The Lost One” across those who searched for her, and the reasons will be quite obvious as you get to know my character more. At that, destruction and death continued to follow her, no matter how hard she tried to change that. Anyway, her journeys turned up nothing more than hidden tracks and more clues. Eventually she came to the infamous Jump City, where she is at this moment, hoping to find the answers she had been looking for.

So the mods haven't responded yet huh?

Well, if everyone is okay with it, I'm going to try and help till one gets here. Smile

With the powers, they seem to be relatively alright. The issue is that for many of them, we don't get an actual measure to what they can take. For example you mentioned shielding but never gave a hint as to what it can take. Can it take a punch from Superman or just one from Batman? How much pressure can be applies and so on before it breaks?

I recommend dividing them into categories and putting the stats of each power, which is what I do.

I actually had a character relatively close to this that you may wanna check for reference on what's accepted here. https://ttrpg.forumotion.com/t2935-starstrike

Keep in mind, since Paradox won't go Super Saiyan like Emily did she can have slightly more powerful powers.

Good luck. Mods, I'm not trying to take your job, I just wanted to help out the newbie Smile

Whew, many thanks. I really appreciate the heads up, Izzy. I'll get to the adjustments as soon as I possibly can. Much gratitude is extended, kind helper.

And nice humanized Rainbow Dash you have there, about 20% cooler then a lot of Avatars I've seen so far afro

Welcome to the site, Paradox. I'm Dar, the Admin here at Teen Titans Legacy.

I've looked over your character profile, and we need to focus it more. Right now you have too many powers. You are allowed 4 powers (or 5 if they are weak). A power can have about 3 sub-powers.

It is also unclear at times which sub-power comes from her altered physiology, and which ones come from her energy manipulation.

Energy matter manipulation has to go. Blowing someone up from the inside would be considered godmodding, or an unavoidable attack.

Strength is not the same as endurance. They are considered different powers. The strength of 12 men would be being able to lift a little over 1 ton. At a generous 200 pounds per person x 12= 2400 pounds, or 1 ton, 400 pounds. This isn’t an unimaginable amount of strength for this site, it’s actually fairly weak. However, this could therefore be considered a sub-power of her altered physiology.

Endurance- Could also be a sub-power of physiology. Is she bullet-proof? What is the amount of force that would be needed to actually hurt her? How much force would it take to take her down?

Speed- Running at up to 50 miles per hour is still slow enough to be a sub-power of her altered physiology.

Reflexes- If they are almost instant, than this would have to be a power in its own right, not just a skill.

Healing- Are you saying she can heal from minor and medium wounds almost instantly? What causes her

Body Coat- What does it mean to maximize all those powers?

Weakness- We need a combative weakness, not just personality problems. You mentioned that certain parts of her body are weak spots. Where are these? Again, is she bullet-proof? Fire-proof? How would you be able to beat her in a fight?

So please organize all of her abilities into 4 powers, with up to 3 sub-powers each. Right now, I think you have a few abilities that you simply don't need. Add the information I've requested here by editing your original post. Do not re-post the application again. I've seen people do it. It isn't pretty.

Once you've done those edits, let me know and I will take a second look. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a Private Message.

That's splendid!
Well, the fact that you will reply soon, not the fact that you had such an excessive work-load.
Dear me, you must be exhausted. Take as much time as needed, no rush at all!

Okay, I think you should get rid of Body Coat. There probably won't be many, if any, fights that last more than an hour, so the time limit on the power boost is moot. Even if the time limit was shortened, you would still need to tell us exactly how powerful all of her abilities were when this state was active. Also, your character can already react super fast, shrug off a log of damage, heal from said damage, and then shoot the opponent in the face with energy bolts. She won't need the Body Coat, trust me. Entering a berserk state (unless it's you main or only power) is hard to balance and is generally not recommended. So yeah, I would say get rid of Body Coat.

Since you have so many abilities, here's what will have to happen.

Endurance- She can't be bulletproof. Since her endurance is a sup-power, bullets can still turn her into Swiss cheese. This does not make her weak. Being able to take a punch or a club to the face is still very useful in a fight.

Healing- She can't be immortal. Being able to heal from a lot of punishment is one thing. But if she gets her head cut off, stabbed through the heart, or is otherwise put in a position where onlookers say "Yep, she's dead," then she should actually die. Remember, nobody can kill your character without your permission. She won't just drop dead.

Strength- We usually measure strength in maximum lifting weight using tons. After a few conversions, it looks like you're saying that 7.5 tons is the maximum amount that she can lift. Not bad considering one of my characters had strength as a main power and could only lift a little over 1 ton. You'll still be able to throw cars around, but she can't match people like Superboy.

Equipment- Blasters? You mean like laser guns? Where on earth did she get these? Where does she get the ammo for such a weapon? Explain to us what kind of weapons these are. Also tell us what kind of explosives she carries around with her.

That should give you something to work on. Don't be discouraged by all the editing. It's normal. We all go through it, even me. Once you're ready for me to take another look, let me know.

Consider the body coat dropped, as to say.

1: About the endurance, no, she is definitely NOT bullet proof. No worries about that, I'm sure she eventually will end up as some psychotic form of Swiss cheese towards the end of her life-span.

2: Oh certainly not immortal as well. Her healing factor is not as advanced as, say, Deadpool's, in the sense she can basically have every part of her cut off and still survive after a couple re-attachments. It's just enough to provide an advantage in battle, and to even save her life on occasion, but she is still very much able to be killed.

3: Sounds fantastic, I couldn't have said it better myself.

4: Yes, basically a form of laser guns. As said before, she is skilled with various technology and the building of weaponry. They are of her own creation, and I will add specifics about them in the edit. Same with the explosives.

I really appreciate the time you took to give me these heads-up. I apologize for NEEDING all these edits, it's just that I'm not used to this form of character application. But I'm happy to learn the correct way to go along with the particular set of rules, regulations, accommodations, and basic formations that are consisted within this site. Please do not hesitate to always smack me in the face with brutal honesty regarding whatever I post or come up with. Thanks again~

Thank you again for your patience.

I'm fine with her having those reflexes that react to her heightened senses. But having "super senses" would be another power. So just make sure that she doesn't use telescopic vision, hear something miles away, or smell what someone had for lunch yesterday.

Also, please put her maximum lifting weight under Strength as about 7.5 tons. This will help people be able to quickly see how strong she is.

Just make that final edit, and your character should be approved.
