Following a lead given to them by the Watchtower, Psychosis and Black Ice travel to Steel City as they search for the super weapon clone that was created with the purpose of annihilating any superpowered being she comes across. Knowing about the clone's telepathy, Will keeps a magical shroud on him and his wife to keep their minds from being heard. Following by the rooftops, Will spots EM walking down an alley towards an abandoned hotel.

What is she doing? Is that hotel where she stays at?

Staring at the old hotel, Will checks to see if anyone is in the hotel that EM could hurt. Hearing all the voices inside the building, Will's expression becomes a shocked one.

Grace, that place is the hideout for the Nighthawks! She's found out where they stay and is coming to attack them. We're gonna stop her before she does that though.

Black Ice watched EM walk towards the seemingly abandoned hotel. She knew that EM could fly, so the human weapon must have been trying to keep a low profile.

Will telepathically told her that the building EM was heading for was actually the HQ of the Night Hawks. Grace knew enough about the defenders of Steel City to know that they didn't stand a chance against something like EM.

Grace's hand went to the hilt of the sword hanging from her belt. Was she even ready to fight EM? It was time to find out.

We should use a distraction, she thought at Will. I can challenge her, and then you can hit her from behind.

Alice Wonder had managed to escape, three weeks ago she had been knocked out by a Terrakinetic meta-human and then kidnapped by her revenge thirsty brother, she was given barely enough food and water to not die while her brother researched a way to kill her, he had tried everything, a steel drill to her brain, a grenade force fed to her and even some kryptonite used as a club, but he hadn`t killed her and she escaped one day, she ran as fast as she could, out of Jump city, she ran until her legs failed her and collapsed in front of a hotel in Steel. She woke up a few hours later and saw a strange short figure in a dark alley walking in her direction.

EM could sense them. So many metahumans were in this building. She could hear their thoughts. She could hear their hearts beating, but not for much longer. For metahumans needed to be destroyed, and she needed to destroy them. It was the one thing she knew.

Suddenly EM became aware of another metahuman, very near. It was a girl, lying on the ground in the alleyway. Why hadn't EM noticed her earlier? The human weapon realized that the girl had been sleeping, so her mind had been unreadable, at least passively.

There wasn't much introduction needed. EM wouldn't speak to an ant before crushing it beneath her heel, and she wouldn't speak to this one, Alice was her name, before eliminating her.

EM held her hand out towards Alice. Ten bricks ripped themselves free of the wall they were attached to and flew towards the poor meta-human's head.

Will agrees that a distraction is needed by nodding his head when he sees EM beginning to rip bricks out from the walls around her. With EM making her first move already, the time for a distraction had been changed to defending the person sleeping in front of her.

Wait, there's someone on the street in front of EM. We need to get her to safety! Grace, let's hurry.

Jumping off the roof of the small building, Will lands on the ground and begins his plan. Waving his hand out in front of him, a crescent wave of blue energy is seen zooming towards the defenseless girl where she'd be covered by a shield from the bricks.

Alice widened her eyes as the bricks came at her, she lept to her feet and raised her arm to protect her face, when no attack hit her she looked up and saw that a shield was protecting her What the-!?! she quickly focused and picked up a huge chunk of concrete then threw it at her attacker.

Grace followed Will off the rooftop, landing behind EM. Running forward silently, Grace closed her eyes for a moment. She focused on her sword.

Strike well, my new friend. She felt the sword respond by charging itself with of her own energy, and reinforcing the blade with magic.

Alice threw a huge chunk of concrete at EM. The human weapon swiped her hand at it, cutting it in two before it even reached her. The two chunks passed EM on opposite sides and crashed into the pavement.

Before EM could make another move, Grace swung her blade and connected with the back of EM's neck.

Yes!

EM's skin didn't budge. The blade didn't even scratch her.

No!

EM's skin was fused with Nth metal, a rare substance that cancels out magic. That, plus her general invulnerability, resisted any damage from Grace's sword. Grace was going to need to figure out some way to hurt this monster.

The meta sleeping in front of her had awaken and got to her feet when the bricks EM was going to smash her with collided with a transparent shield. In reaction to Alice throwing a chunk of cement at her and splitting it in two, EM feels a blade hit her from behind on her neck. The cries of the person behind her cause EM to turn and look at Grace.

Grace, you're one of the metas I was designed after and made to eliminate. But you aren't a metahuman any more.. There won't be any business between us so leave this area.

Holding her hand out in front of Grace, EM pushes out with a telekinetic force to get Grace away from her. Turning back to Alice, she sees a small white orb flying towards her which then turns into a blinding light to distract her while Psychosis approaches Alice.

Having seen Grace's attack be futile and then be sent back down the road by EM's telekinesis, Will casts a flash spell so he can get to Alice.

You need to get out of here. This girl isn't here for a fight, she's here to murder. Please, will you go alert everyone in the hotel to leave. Tell them it's under the orders of the Justice League to evacuate.

Struggling to get her vision back, EM listens to the voice of Psychosis who was a few yards in front of her. EM uses the moment in the blinding light of the area to transform into Grace to get her own surprise attack!

Alice frowned at the man No way! she then ran at EM and sent a punch to it`s face.

Alice's punch connected, sending EM flying back to where Grace had landed. As the flash wore off, Alice and Will would see two Grace's, both sitting on the ground rubbing their bruises.

The two Graces saw each other and gasped.

"You...you shapeshifted to look like me!"

"Me? That's what you did!"

Both Graces raised their swords and began to duel.

"This is ridiculous!" One of the Graces said. "Somebody shoot her."

"That is not going to happen. I have a telepathic bond with my husband." Will, you know I'm the real one.

What devilry is this? I am your bride, Will.

In appearance and even in the mind, both Graces were identical.

"There's only one way to know for sure."

"Yes, you have to shoot both of us with magic."

"EM is immune to magic. My sword didn't work on her."

"So whoever doesn't get hurt..."

"Is EM."

Of course, it would also mean that the real Grace would be injured and possibly be out of the fight.

Will looks at the two Graces and looks into their minds, but they are both showing the same things within them. He understands that they are right about using a spell on them so he quickly considers what he could use that would be best for the situation.

Everything will be fine, Grace. Don't worry about this. And Alice, I told you to run, go now!

Putting his hands together, the air around him increases in pressure as he focuses his magic into his hands to make two purple orbs. Aiming his hands at both of the Graces, Will lets the energy fire out at them, but no harm will be done. Whoever isn't EM will be put into a sleep from the drowsy spell Will was casting.

Alice watched the purple orbs fly at the Graces, ignoring the order to run, she prepared to punch whoever is identified as EM in the face.

Grace braced herself. She fully expected EM to imitate her reaction to getting hit by Will's spell. However, the human weapon couldn't be that good of an actor. Will made two purple orbs and told her that it was going to be okay. Grace relaxed a bit. Will wouldn't lie to her.

The orb flew towards Grace, and she let it hit her. Instead of the impact she was expecting, she suddenly felt...drowsy. The need for sleep overcame her and she fell to the ground, being just barely able to catch herself and protect her head. Then...sleep...
