[Yes, I really am quitting. I'm finishing the threads I'm in, but this is just so I'll be completely done, no loose ends.]
Jinx leaned against a barrier at the train station. She sighed, tapping the suitcase next to her with her boot. Her hands were in her pockets, her hair underneath a hat, her eyes on the tracks. She couldn't believe she decided just to up and leave everyone, but she needed to. Jump City was sucking her further and further into it's clutches, and she could never have a normal life in Jump, or Steel. So why had she decided on Gotham? Wasn't that worse?
Yes. Yes, it was worse, crime-wise, but no one knew her there. Maybe she could go by her real name, and get a job and pretend she hadn't robbed banks, and stay off the radar. Who knew what would happen. She certainly did not. She had a little bit of time before her train came, and she sighed. She was scared. Jump City was all she'd ever known.
But maybe this was what she needed, a new start, not stuck with her past mistakes that were everywhere in this city. Who knew.
