Scourge of the 7 Constellations

Mark and Jasmine were at the retirement home Mark volunteered at, she was drawing stuff for them while Mark was doing miscellaneous stuff. He was wearing a Titans football team cap, with a blue sweater and black jeans. "Hey thanks again for hanging out with me today Jazzy, I know you probably have better stuff to do then entertain veterans and retired folk, but I promise after were done here I'll take you out for ice cream on something. Skys the limit, all you can eat on me." Mark said picking up a heavy box containing medicine and placed it on the table so the nurse aids could distribute it.

Jasmine was currently painting an elderly couple by the couches when Mark spoke up. She squeaked in surprise, having forgotten that she was here with him; she really could get too engrossed with her art, "Not really" she said with a blush as she finished her painting. She smiled at the elderly couple who took a look at the painting, "If you didn't invite me to come here I would've just cooped myself up in the apartment 'sides the people here are nice" she said as she rose from her stool, taking off her painter apron. "Really? What else is there to do then?" she said, excited.

"Well..." Mark rubbed the back of his neck. "There's also an orphanage full of kids I know of down the way that would love to hang characatures of themselves over their bed at night." Mark said with glee, little did she know the place he spoke of was his home all his life until now. At this point they were done for the day here it would seem, because most of the senior citizens needed their rest. "Ok, bye Francis, I'll see you bright and early on Tuesday so we can go for your eye-appointment. Just give the bi-focals a chance, oka----AAAAUUGGHHH!!"

As Mark headed towards the exit and waited up for Jasmine to follow him as she said her final goodbyes, suddenly, the door would literally burst open and send Mark flying due to explosive laser fire. Immediately following he laid there with groggy vision as 5 individuals came into the room. "So this is where the Blue Lantern spends his time? On this backworld planet helping their elderly. Pfft, figures this codfish would waste his time and power on the meak."



The group then converged upon him and threw Mark over the male wearing green's shoulder. "Maverius, what should we do with the Lantern?" "Take him, he's worth more alive then dead, and besides killing him now, will only result in a replacement. We can use him to gain access to much wonders." As the lead space pirate spoke, his cybernetic arm converted into a laser hook, in which he held towards Mark's face. Oddly enough, many of the old people didn't notice the happenings or just thought they were seeing things and just went about their business.

Jasmine smiled softly at him, a spark forming in her eyes at the mention of children, "That would be lovely!" she exclaimed, clapping her arms and jumping like a little child. She nodded, "Wait one moment, I left my satchel at the couches!" she said before hurrying off to get it. She smiled at the elderly couple she had drawn, slung her satchel on and bid them goodbye before hurrying off to find Mark.

She was almost near the exit, just a corner to turn left before she heard an explosion. She looked alarm as she started running towards the exit all the while taking out her drawing book- only to find 5 individuals; Mark slung on the green one's shoulder. Her eyes widened seeing him unconscious before she grit her teeth, her hands surrounded by darkness. For once she was glad that there were many shadows in this cozy old retirement home.

She shot a dark beam at the lead space pirate apparently named Maverius before sending another at the one holding Mark. She bit her lip as she concentrated- darkness encasing the other threes hands and feet for just a little amount of time, there was only a little darkness here "Mark snap out of it and wake up!" she yelled out as she concentrated, not wanting the other three to intervene yet.

The first beam the girl shot, was quickly deflected when the female of the group lunged forward and blocked it with a virtual shield, which was generated from what appeared to be the glove on her hand. However, the second beam struck the man in green and sent him soaring backwards across the table into the medicine box Mark had put down earlier. Meanwhile, Mark dropped to the floor. "Oh, so the Lantern had a bonnie little lass did he?" As Maverius pulled out his space pistol and let off a few shots at her, while attempting to recover Mark's body for a getaway while the other's were bound by their own shadows. Meanwhile, the old folks in the home seemed to again not be paying attention as laser fire zipped passed them.

"Meekro, occupy the wench while I tail it to the Nautius (their ship). If you must, kill or capture her as well, but do not let her follow." Meekro, the one cloaked in dark red nodded as best as he could while bound, but suddenly from under his coat little cybernetic robots rolled out and took form. Three to be exact, which took off at running pace towards Jazzy. Each armed with a different weapon and design; spider bot with pincers, humanoid bot with blades, round floating bot with mounted mini shooters.

Jasmine cursed under her breath as a shot flew past her and left a scar on her shoulder. She looked around wildly before shouting, "Someone shut the lights off!" She heard the leader order something before her eyes widened at the contraptions the red-hooded guy released. She quickly took her drawing book and flung 3 pages at them; apparently it had bombs drawn on it. Using her powers she activated them and smirked though it did destroy those drawings.

She looked around quickly before muttering something underneath her breath and bolting after the space leader, the time for the bindment she used almost up.

The bombs hit the round bot shooting lasers, and the humanoid one as it lunged at her, but the one with the pincers side stepped other bomb and kept on it's path towards her. Luckily, as it lunged for her the lights went out thanks to one of the nurse aids quickly hitting all the switches. Therefore missing Jazzy, while many of the elderly just assumed this meant nap time and laid down ready to sleep, ignoring the explosions and shouting.

Meanwhile, Maverius had reached the ship, which was parked upon the roof the hospital it looked literally like a giant space SHIP. With a laser sail, meant to catch the solar winds. He began climbing the ladder to the ship, but was having a hard time carrying the 180 lbs teen on his shoulder at the same time.

Jasmine stopped in her tracks as the lights went off, smirking. She knew she probably regret this but with a roomful of darkness and people trying to kill her then maybe she could forgive herself this time. She concentrated hard on the shadows binding the other three, as well as the green one and the pincer bot. She 'tightened' the grip of the shadows until they were out of breath all the while running to the roof. Finally she reached the top and opened the doors, staying inside the darkness. She shot a tendril at the space pirate using the darkness behind her- if all goes well it would have wrapped itself upon his leg and pulled down. It wasn't that hard to manage her powers now what with all the darkness around.

As Maverius climbed he suddenly felt something tug at his leg and slipped off the ladder landing on a rung with his chin and then hitting the ground hard. Immediately following he turned over and cut the shadow from his leg with his laser hook like hand. (space mechanics, dont ask xD) and grasped his busted lip annoyed. "Meddling little BRrRrAT!" Mark landed on the ground and began to squirm as he awoke, but his vision was still blurred so he didn't know what was happening exactly. From behind Jasmine, however, out came the monk like space pirate in brown. One was probably wondering how he escaped being engulfed in shadows, but then was shown to have used a magic spell, which cast a shield around himself to avoid being crushed. Also, the male from before who had been wearing green appeared as well, he was knocked out during the binding while the other 3 were smothered. He was equipped with a laser tipped lance on both ends in his hands.

"Gentlemen, change of plans. Were now going to capture the little wench as well. With her as leverage well get the Lantern to do whatever we command of him." "Command me to what exactly?" Mark said as he finally arose and created a blue uniform showing he was ready to do battle. Joining the party was also the female space pirate with a laser sword like light-saber. Her armor had protected her from being smothered to the point of unconciousness, although Meekro wasn't so lucky. "I'll take the Monk and Darth Maul, think you can handle the Captain and hers truly?" Mark said, with his eyes glowing with his corps, symbol in them.

Jasmine quickly flitted away from the ones behind her, grumbling at how they were hard to beat. She looked over to the pirate captain and narrowed her eyes, "Oi! I ain't a wench!" she yelled out as she blasted a whole through the floor so she could access the darkness below. Thankfully the elders were out of the vicinity by the help of the nurses who knew better.

"Thanks for coming to, Mark." she said before nodding to his words, a wry smile creeping up her face, "Aye aye Captain!" she said, whipping out several pages for combat.

"No, thank you. If you weren't here, this could've gotten worse for me. I owe you, big time." Mark said with a smile and then the battle began! The Monk had been silently whispering to himself to charge a ball of energy and shot it at TL. Who quickly caught it with a blue hardlight baseball mit and twirled around before whipping it at the green pirate, who was hit in his chest and sent flying across the rooftop. Mark then created a bunch of chains, which shot from his ring and covered the Monk, but the Monk chanted some more and the chains burst due to a magic expulsion or force field spell. However, Teen Lantern then just converted the broken chain pieces into doves and attacked the Monk, who swatted to try and knock them away.

Meanwhile, the girl with the hook ran and attempted to slice and attack Jazzy with her beam sword in close combat and from behind her the captain pulled out his space pistol, which fired photon beams and aimed it at her before firing, making sure to avoid his crew mate.

Jasmine quickly reacted and jumped out the way, using the darkness as a leverage to jump higher. As she was in the air she did a backflip, sending a dark beam at the girl who attacked her. She landed on the lead space pirate's shoulders, infusing her hands with darkness she smashed it onto his head before doing another backflip away from him and towards the hole she had created. While in the whole she used her drawings, making another two hers before jumping out and started attacking again.

The woman crewman blocked the beam with her sword, which pushed her back, but then Maverius was hit in the back of the head, causing him to drop his pistol and immediately following two more versions of Jasmine arose from the darkness. This girl was quite an annoyance. Both pirates attacked head on afterwards, swinging their sword and hook at her...selves. Elsewhere the doves continued to swarm the monk, until suddenly...He disappeared from his robes and seemingly vanished!? "Huh, whoa that's a neat trick." " Then you'll love this next vanishing act Lantern, you'll be the main attraction!" Suddenly the monk appeared behind Mark, and grabbed him just as the Paladin pirate recovered and seemingly ran the Lantern through the abdomen with his laser spear, but upon closer inspection one could see Mark had created a spring, which wrapped around the tip of the spear and stopped it before it touched the teen actually. The powerful hardlight spring then unloaded and sprung the green pirate backwards at a high velocity off the side of the roof this time. Meanwhile, the monk would suddenly feel a blue rocket materialize on his back and was sent blasting off Mark and up into the sky, screaming frantically.

The Blue Lantern then took to the sky, after making a quick check to see if Jazzy was handling herself, which she was and caught the green space pirate by his foot with one hand and did the same to the Monk upon catching up him him. He couldn't have jsut let them fly away and fall to their deaths. Mark immediately formed a piece of blue tape around the monks mouth to stop him from speaking and tied them both up together with blue rope from the ring following their rescue and floated them back to the top of the roof having defeated them. Mark felt triumphant, but he really wanted to get back and make sure Jasmine was ok.

All 3 of the Jasmines pursed their lips before heading towards them. One of them charged at the space pirate woman aiming a dark punch at her while the other two- one of which was the real Jasmine had charged towards Maverius. Fake Jasmine aimed a dark punch at him while the Real Jasmine took the space pistol that he had dropped. She looked at it before switching it to stun and shooting at Maverius and the girl crewman.

The captain's female first mate attempted to cut the fake's head off but failed and missed, resulting in her getting punched by the dark punch and covered in darkness in that spot. Meanwhile, the captain swept the other fake Jasmine's feet and gutted her with his hook upon her falling, hoping he'd killed the real one, but was instead shot from behind by the pistol and his other crewmate as well.

Following her victory, which Mark caught the end of, the boy clapped and floated back onto the roof with the others floating bounded next to him. "Nice, ya know, I think we could use you on the Nighthawk's, with your skills you could help us defend against all kinds of evil and protect others, but well leave that conversation for another time. Lets go check on their other crewman in there and then I'll have all of these guys and their ship picked up by space officials."

That being said, Mark put the entire group in a big blue cage and left them outside while he and Jasmine went inside to get Meekro. "Sooo, I definitely do owe you one now, for helping me with the elderly annnd saving my butt. So what would you like or to do in return?" he says with a pleasant expression on his face as if he was eager to repay the debt.
