The Rozarrian Front

As usual, this is an excerpt from another roleplaying site, Final Fantasy Break. It was developed by my friend and I, and we appreciate new members. My character is named Strife Avytrius Sinaura, and his right eye is injured from a magiscience factory explosion from when he was a child. I hope you'll enjoy reading.

EDIT: Unlike Al Caido, however, I have not compiled this into one point of view with my grammar and spelling and etiquette. So forgive me if the quality is not what you like when you see other people's posts.

It was a bit of a chilly day within the walls of Rozarria, the sky a bright gray with a thin cover of clouds. Strife woke up in bed with his feet feeling cold. Muttering, he pulled on some socks and some pants, and after a few minutes, another pair of socks over the previous ones. He pulled on a button up shirt and stood up, before there was a tinge of pain from his eye.

You're being a real pain...no pun intended, he muttered. He reached into his nightstand and pulled out a medical eye patch, putting it on and getting out of bed.

Getting down to the living room, he brushed his fingers across a picture on the dresser, as he did every morning in a small ritual, and made his way to the kitchen. His father was usually up by now, but it wasn't unusual for him to sleep in a half an hour or two. Strife went ahead and made coffee for his father before he went out to work, cooking up a small breakfast for them.

He got up from the table as his father came into the room, muttering a Hello, before sitting down at the table. He poured himself some alcohol, as had become his usual habit, and lit a cigarette at the table, taking a drag before having it briskly snatched out of his hand and extinguished in his whiskey by Strife, who got him a new glass and poured some juice into it.

No drinking in the morning, and no smoking at the table. Mom wouldn’t have liked that.

Strife received a slight grunt in apology, smiling lightly. His father wasn’t a bad person, just missing his woman. It was close to the anniversary of that day. He poured himself some juice as well, having breakfast with his father. His father, after looking into some news, got up from the table. Well, better get to work. Be careful, son. Strife nodded, smiling, giving his old man a pat on the back before he walked out. Strife proceeded to leave himself, throwing on his jacket and walking out of the door, making sure to lock the door behind him.

He got on his motorcycle, which was only inscribed with B4H4M_T, and proceeded to drive off towards the infested part of the city.

The peaceful city of Rozarria had recently received an infestation of monsters to deal with. Many citizens and veterans from the wars with Tartarus decades prior volunteered to help with clearing out the fiends, but they needed all hands on deck that they could get. Strife was one of the many volunteers, as was his friend, Reno. Strife hadn’t seen him quite yet, but he knew he’d run into him eventually.

Strife came in towards a group of monsters on Bahamut, which was the actual name of his motorcycle. He and Reno’s abilities worked very differently, but were still very effective against fiends nonetheless. For example, he could do something Reno couldn’t: he had developed his own style of fighting by using his motorcycle as a weapon.

As if only to express this, Strife suddenly did a wheelie, lifting up on the front of his motorcycle. Mostly men with only abnormal strength could lift this motorcycle, but it was as if the motorcycle complied with his wished, lifting the front to balance on the back wheel while still riding forward, plowing into monsters with the spinning wheel on the front, and crushing them with the bottom. The motorcycle almost seemed like it was built for this kind of combat.

Strife let the motorcycle down, braking and turning on a dime before quickly accelerating back into the fray. The monsters seemed prepared for him this time, so he did something different, braking and turning onto the side, using the large bulk of the motorcycle to drag into the horde, knocking monsters back a few feet easily while crushing bones. Strife had his shades on to keep any flying debris like bits of bone or flesh or even blood from getting into his eye. He kept an eye out for Reno while doing this.

Reno was watching people grab guns,swords, and even there own Dokk. Which in this world was normal, Reno remembered the old days before the "Summons" Joined them. Reno thought to him self" yeah and it was more peaceful then this..." Reno closed his fist and then Shortly calmed down.

Well looks like people is getting there Dokk and there own powers in check, what do you think Pi?

Pi was a Teen with green hair, he always helped Reno with repairs and as of now Infestations. Pi always wear his button up shirt and always carrying a cell phone "he always talks on it" Reno thought to him self.

Oh You asked something Master Reno!? Oh Haha yeah it looks like they are about ready to hunt down "Fiends" are you ready to give your "Orders" to the people? Haha.


Reno laid his hand on Pi's Right shoulder, Then grinned. Reno knew the people was not ready for the Fiends in town, even if they had a Dokk or Summon powers to help aid them.

Yes...It's time...

Reno walked up to the stage then lowered his head to the announcer in respect. Reno then grabbed the mic and started off with his speech.

People of Rozarria thanks for joining me in this hunt to kill off the Fiends, we will Kill every last one of them even if I die trying. To all the people that has lost loved ones do to this "Infestation" of fiends I'll avenge them with my power. I"LL MAKE THEM PAY!!!

Reno then turned himself towards the stair case leading off the stage. Reno continued walked off and started heading to the group of people that seemed ready for battle. Some was people of the town, others where groups of people that joined Reno.

Reno walked up to a man in a "Metal Armor Suit" (M.A.S for short) and started talking to him, giving orders and moving hands over what seemed to be a map.

I want the(Shadow Armor Guards) S.A.G's and the rest of the group to keep in the shadows, I don't want people to die with out "Protection" so keep your Scoops locked on the targets and ahead of the rest of your team. Help keep an eye out for your fellow man. So keep the M.A.S in front, while the other people that Joined today will bring up the Rear, As me and a Select few will Scout ahead I'll keep you all posted with orders and updates, understood?

As the S.A.G's and M.A.S's head out to the "Hot Spots" Reno then ran in front of the group continuing to move his hands and pointing for the rest to head out. Reno changed into his half form, his red flowing hair moving like a fire storm in the wind, his hands with glowing flames and claws.

The select few also was "Spirits" they changed into there forms thou they are more weak compared to Reno, Reno started jumping on broken buildings and walls heading. Reno moved to the front of the group and continue to head out with the rest of his team.

Reno landed in the middle of the Infestations "Hot Spots" there was nothing in the area. Reno lowered his flames and became his normal self, he looked around. Reno saw the other Spirits as well, Reno moved his hands giving the sign of "Cation" then gave them a stare.

Within about ten minutes of waiting Reno seen the "Fiends" heading his way. Reno moved his hands to give off the sign "head out" Reno stood his ground, as some of them staid behind. Some also went off to scout more areas. Reno pulled out his sword, Then Released his flames all over Place. Reno waited for the right time to jump over the Fiends, when they got over him Reno jumped and at the same time burned them in a straight line. Reno then raised his hands up in the air and a massive fire ball started to grow above him.

THIS IS FOR PI!!!!!

Reno thrown the massive fire ball and blew up the remaining Fiends. Reno landed and looked to see if the rest was starting there attacks. Reno did a checking of groups.

Statues Report!?

We found a few on are way in but they where small and easy to handle, some of the people took miner damage while the S.A.G's Took out the lager groups of Fiends.

Continue with the Plan..

Reno stood there waiting for more Reports before heading out.

Strife accelerated into the horde once more, before braking and turning hard. The front wheel was used as an anchor as the back end whipped out, spinning a few revolutions and blasting the other fiends back around him. He let the back down, quickly doing another wheelie before revving forward, crushing the other monsters in front of him.

His shades reflected the sun as he formed his sword, clipping a few monsters on the sides as he kept crushing monsters in the front with Bahamut.

You guys're ruining my paint job.

He finally let down the front in front of him, droves of monsters still around to handle. Through his shades, and his eyepatch at that, his blue eye glowed. Fire.

The monsters prepared for him, but were blasted away from him as an explosion erupted in the middle of them. Strife looked around, and saw some fiery explosions not of his own far off.

Damned Reno, never at a loss for an entrance...or a speech.

He turned Bahamut, of course not caring for the monsters in the way, and drove towards him through the waves of monsters. Just as Reno got surrounded, not that he even needed the help, Strife ramped off of a slope in the ground, holding his sword at the ready before landing on a monster right in front of Reno, careful to avoid his flames and turning, wiping the entire section in front of Reno out.

Whoops, he said with a grin, before revving Bahamut again and going right past Reno, driving the side into a few monsters while cutting them down.

Feel free to hop on, and then we'll go for a raid.

Reno watched as Strife drove by on what looked to be a Dokk but in a bike form. Reno then jumped on a Fiend,kicked it with his right leg, then pushed himself off another fiend. Reno then changed into his beastly form and pushed again off of the same fiend he had his foot on.

Die...

After that Reno kicked and continue to kick each Fiend that came across him, now remember this was in a span of a second. Strife was just now passing Reno's body, Reno kicked off and with great speed landed on Strife's bike. Reno's chains was rattling off the bike and Reno then rawred letting any other Spirits to fallow behind Strife.

Plan A Execute...

With great speed and Reno's keen eyes he watched as each building started to explode, Spirits where Jumping off buildings and fallowing Strife's bike. Reno then moved his hands and showed Signs with his hand. Telling them to fallow Plan B, Reno knew once they got to plan C it was done.

Strife...its good to see you again...I'm going to need your help with this one, care to help?

Reno had his head turned towards Strife looking at him with his red hair moving with the speed and wind of the bike, Reno's eyes locked onto Strife's eyes to await his replay.

Reno didn't seem to mind Strife jumping in and taking some kills, as he just proceeded to let Strife do his work while Reno did his own thing. As he dragged Bahamut to crush some other monsters, Reno jumped on the back of his bike. Bahamut was okay with Reno, and so let him stand with ease, as Strife proceeded to crush through a few more droves of monsters.

Reno signaled the other Spirits, as other buildings around them started to explode. Strife took a brief look behind him, pushing up his shades to fit again with the hilt of his blade, to see that Spirits were following him. Reno said it was good to see Strife again, and asked for his help.

Nah, man. Might get my shirt dirty, he joked, grinning, before looking back at Reno and giving him a nod, then turning his attention back to driving.

A bull-like monster came up, and Bahamut plowed into it, but started slowing down. Strife scoffed, and the monster blew apart in flames as his eye glowed again. Plan B was to get to higher ground. As the buildings finished collapsing, Strife turned Bahamut to go up a piece of a building that had fallen to become a ramp. He then proceeded to jump the bike to another piece before finally going up a remaining building. Bahamut had enough horsepower to do so.

The reached a rooftop, and Strife started driving across them, cutting through a few monsters along the way. Avians were coming towards them now, so Strife jumped off of the bike, leaving Reno on it as it headed forward, slicing a few birds down before perfectly landing in the seat, taking the handles again before going to another rooftop. Before they landed, he looked down at the street below them in the alley, swarming with monsters. His blue eye glowed again.

Blizzard.

A chunk of liquid about as big as a chair formed over the alleyway as they landed on the adjacent rooftop, dropping down. It splashed across a large group of monsters before freezing them instantly, as Strife kept his driving straight.

Reno took note that Strife liked to joke around in battle, Reno grinned. Reno watched as Strife showed off his power,Reno thought "not bad,not bad". Reno jumped to the front of the bike, lowered down and bet the bike for allowing the ride.

Thanks again..

Reno said to the bike Strife was riding, he then jumped high into the air, about fifty feet into the sky. Flames started spewing out of Reno's hands, big enough to cover the sky, Reno then would land about hundred feet in front of Strife and his bike. Two massive Fiends was blocking there path, Reno went through them with ease, he then pulled them and threw them aside. Reno knew they need to get past them, and they didn't have to much time to wait.

I need to get to my mark or this mission will not go through

Reno then Jumped onto buildings, climbing and running across them like it was part of the ground. Reno would see Strife riding on the ground fighting off fiends, Reno turned himself aiming for Strife. Reno Jumped and landed again on the bike. Reno would jump around the bike, fighting off Fiends of all kinds. Big,small, or even flying. Reno tried not to get in Strife's view Reno would hope his plan would work.

About five minutes would go by and Reno and Strife would get to there mark. Reno would wait for the bike to stop at the tip top of a Large building. In this city there where Four Towers of buildings, Reno wanted to burn the remaining Fiends. Reno needed to check and see if his plan is going with ease.

Report!?

All marks are met. All S.A.G's and M.A.S's are at there Targets! the rest of the people cleared out Plan B is ready

Reno then would lower his hand down and looked to Strife. The sound of battle would stop, Reno grinned. Reno put his right hand up into the sky, out came flames not just from Reno but from all four Towers in the city, then on the lower parts of the town the Fiends stood still. Like they where in awe. Reno remembered that these Fiends where attracted to heat, but died by the cold.

Strife I'm going to need you to do the final hit to these Fiends, you can use magic better then me I'm going to need you to do a massive Blizzard on the ones near me, the M.A.G's and S.A.G's will be Protected from the Cold and Heat use them, there for the people that can't use summons like us but they are protected by it with those suits.

Reno continued his Flames, the fire in the Sky was making the City turn a bright red but it was not heating up the city at all.

Plan B (Battle) this is a much easier way of killing them with out having a hard time. Strife I'm going to need you to take a group of Shiva users and finish the remains of the Fiends that are Focused on us.

Reno Looked to the Other Dokk users that has Shiva Bikes, Each one Unique to there own.

there Pretty good bike riders, hell they even Watched your Videos,hell they trained on your "Videos". I had to keep Tabs on ya you know! hahaha

Reno then continued his Flames while Strife did Plan B.
