Drowning in Drinks (PG-13; Open)

Rose walked into a tavern in the middle of Jump. It was pretty decent looking, not run-down looking more like a 3 star restaurant. Taking a seat at the bar, her long white hair strung out behind her. "Grab me a bottle of whiskey love. Keep me distracted..." she muttered, tossing about $30 toward the bar tender, to which he complied with the bottle and shot glass. Years of hunting her father had gone by. Sighting after sighting and she just couldn't find him. Within about 10 minutes half of the bottle was empty and she was still drowned in thought, intoxicated.

"Well I'll be..." A man said, walking up behind her. "You shouldn't go wrecking that beautiful body like that love" Rose didn't even turn to look at the guy. "Just turn around and get the hell out of my bar."

The idiot didn't seem to understand however and grabbed her shoulder and started to reach around her. "Awwwww come on babe. You're gonna hurt my feelings!" Rose finished her shot and grabbed his wrist, flipping him onto the bar and putting her katana to his throat. "You clearly didn't hear me..." She hissed in his ear, her vision blurred and she wasn't sure if it was from the whiskey or another episode. "I'm warning you now. Touch another woman like that again, and I will find you. I will drag you into an alleyway and gut you with an honest-to-god smile on my face and proceed to decorate my apartment with your bones and paint it in your blood."

All of this was, of course, inaudible to anyone but him, but the sudden reaction had jarred a lot of people and likely cause a noise complaint. But that was her thing, random violence was a par of everything she was.

Nina had been sat at the bar and seen the whole thing, chuckling a little as she drank from her bottle of vodka, drinking the alcohol as if it was water "its about time that creep got what he deserves..." she muttered mainly to herself before she took another sip from the bottle, not at all drunk in the slightest.

Rose had actually heard the girl in the back. The serum she'd been injected with did give her enhanced hearing after all. Putting away her Katana, she shoved the guy off the bar and onto the ground, whe he quickly got up. "Are we done yet?" She muttered, still walking just fine.

The man got into a sloppy stance and was obviously wasted out of his mind. "Great, I needed this." Rose muttered, just standing and crossing her arms. The idiot took a step forward and made the sloppiest punch she had ever seen. "For the love of god, tell me you're joking..." She said, manipulating his wrist and forcing him to the ground. "While I appreciate this time we've spent together, I'm going to have to ask you to get the hell out of this bar." She said, tossing him through the door where he scrambled to his feet and stumbled lazily away.

Walking back to the girl who'd made the comment, Rose sat in the booth she was facing. "F***ing amateurs..."

Nina couldn't help but laugh "tell me about it, it seems the more drunk they are the more they seem to persist" she said in a slightly cheery attitude, taking another swig of vodka "I can't tell you the countless times stuff like that has happened to me" she added.

Rose grabbed a beer from the bar nearby and popped off the top with her thumb, taking a long drink from it, half-draining it in one go. "Yeah, same, love. If you ask me," She interrupted herself to take another swig. "If you ask me, its the eyepatch. The dangerous look is hot." And with that she started laughing.

Nina chuckled and nodded "totally, but at least you get vaguely normal ones, just coz I have fox features I get all the creepy Furries after me, I tell you, the internet has poisoned peoples' minds" she said before finishing off her bottle and ordering another one.

Rose finished off her beer as well and asked for another. "Oh please, normal? Half of them I gurantee are just excited about the fourth hole if you catch my drift." Looking over the girl, this was the first time Rose realized that she had fox features. "I dunno love, I think it's sexy."

Nina smiled and blushed a little "you think so? Thanks, they're certainly a turn-on for the guys who come to my store, they're usually geeky guys and nerds, although we do sometimes get the cutie or the hottie now and then, but when it comes down to it all, I'm more than happy with my boyfriend" she said as she unscrewed the bottle of vodka then drank it.

Rose sighed. Damn, had to be a boyfriend involved. "Damn it..." She muttered, barely audible. "So you're settled down around here, huh? Must be nice." She said, slipping a piece of paper out of her pocket. On it was a picture of her father's mask. "This guy, Deathstroke. Also goes by Slade. Seen him?" She said, sliding the paper across to Nina.

"I wouldn't say settled down...yet...but we see each other often" explained Nina as she looked at the picture and tried to think "uuhh...yes actually I believe I have...but it was a very long time ago...I'm not sure if it'd be of any help" she said with a slight frown.

"Anything helps kid." Rose said, now completely alert. "Please, just tell me. Anything is helpful. Slade needs to pay for what he's done to-" She cut herself off. "For what he's done."

Nina nodded "well during the couple of years that I spent as a fox during my time in Jump, I did see a man with a mask like that, he wondered around the alleyways where I had set up my home, I can't remember much else but yeah...that's when I last saw him, sorry that I can't tell you anything more specific" she said, wishing that she could help more.

Rose sighed. "Damn...more dead ends..." She muttered, grabbing her beer from the waiter who handed it to her and started chugging it. After finishing the bottle, she pulled out her communicator from when she was still a Titan. It was old and faded. Didn't even work anymore. Cyborg had probably changed the frequency they operated on by now. And if he wasn't still there, whoever probably did. Holding up the communicator, she sighed. "Do you at least know if these guys are still around?"

Nina nodded "definitely, although from what I hear, they're the new generation, the originals have retired or gone onto other things" she explained, not really knowing much about the past Titans but Hive taught her all about the latest generation of Titans.

Rose smiled. Even with everyone moving up, that Tower actually did still have people in it. "Alright, thanks. I'll look into it later." She said, pocketing the communicator again. "So, what exactly is there to know about them now?"
