Knight in...No Armor (Innovator)

Lizandra was caught before she left and while he held her hands, he made her feel better than any other guy before him had ever been able to in her life other than her dad. The fact that he even made Liz think of her father right now, was, was just purely amazing and for a moment she hoped...But, then remembered who and what she was, and pulled her hands away while looking down...

"I-I-I'm sorry Alan...I think I gave you the wrong impression, that was a mistake. I can be your friend and all, but anything more than that...I just can't promise you anything else."

Great. Now Lizandra wanted to cry, now she remembered why she had NO SOCIAL LIFE. It was to avoid this, what was she thinking? She can't have friends or even boyfriends. Especially not when there's guys out there who want to slit her throat and hang her by her webbing. No, she couldn't let him be drug into this and it was better to cut it now before real feelings developed or progressed.

"I'm not that kind of girl, and I can never be that kind of girl for you. Sorry, I should really go now. Enjoy your life..."

As Liz spoke she tied her hair up into a ponytail and started to back away from him. The situation wasn't uncomfortable per say, but the way he was talking to her, was making her want to just embrace him with a giant hug and kiss him again. That couldn't happen, and she didn't trust her impulses today. So ya, leaving was probably the way to go right now.

Alpha would find himself waking up upon a rooftop where Liz sat holding her crime fighting goggles in her hands and her web-claw attached upon her waist. She was looking down at the people below and didn't even bother to glance at Alpha Knight as she spoke.

"Ya know...I've been fighting crime for over a year now, and wishing I could be a hero for as long as I can remember. But the one thing I never realized I wanted or needed until just now...was someone who understood me. I've been alone for almost as long as I can remember walking. Don't get me wrong, my life was great, growing up and my parents were loving, but they never understood my desire to help others and since leaving them I've taken care of myself."

Lizandra then turned and looked at Alan with a smirk upon her face as she wiped a tears away due to sad memories.

"But when I met you today, and I mean really met you, for the first time. You made me realize that maybe...I don't have to do this alone after all."

As Liz spoke she blushed and looked innocently at Alpha, hoping he understood what she meant, which was basically that she thought he was as compatible to a partner as she was ever going to have. He was strong, brave, understanding, caring, heroic, different, experienced hardships in the past and present, and never had, nor would get a normal life either. It was like they were tailor made for each other and destiny had drawn them together. The vision he had sent her had shocked her, but also helped Liz to understand that he must have really cared about her too, to do that for her and force himself to black out. Unprotected, with a girl he just met to boot?! It was as romantic a gesture as any guy could've ever given to her or had ever done for her...considering their line of work.

LIz smiled back and held out a piece of paper to Alpha, it had her phone number on it.

"So I know I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number..so call me..maybe?"

"Sorry, I always wanted to do that. "

As Liz said this, she immediately smiled hoping he'd get the joke.

"Couldn't resist, might be my last chance to get a clean quip out without you seeing it coming."

Lizandra was of course referring to Alpha's mind reading, which she was now made aware of, but also hoped he caught her choice of words. That she wouldn't be able to do it anymore, hence, she expected to be spending a lot more time with him.

"Anyway to your earlier question about us being more than friends...I think I might change my answer from no to yes, baby....Dang it, I swear I'll top doing that, it's like I can't turn it off now."

As she pulled her lips away from his, LIzandra felt a bit wobbly and her spider-sense was warning her to regain her composure before he fell, but honestly she didn't care. This was great! She didn't mind being the damsel for once, in fact, it felt good to be some guy's girl/responsibility for once. Having someone to count on, it was awesome!

"No. Thank you, I almost forgot what it was like to kiss a cute guy."

In truth it had been a while.

"I didn't accept you Alex or is it Alpha? Either way, it was more you showed me that were actually kind of meant for each other. I mean we only began to be together as of like 10 seconds ago, but I don't think I'll regret this, which is the first decision I haven't second guessed in a long time."

As Liz spoke she smiled widely and then pulled away form him looking over the rooftops...

"So flyboy...You think you're pretty quick huh? Wanna race?"

Spidey in truth had always just wanted to have fun with her powers, but with a secret identity to uphold she never really could in costume much unless working to save citizens. Only with Whoop-Ant did she ever get to chance to do the kind of stuff she just suggested.

"Or would you rather go back to the Artwalk?"

"Yayaya, just don't want your pride hurt by being beat by a girl on the first date. I get it."

Liz teased and then looked down at the city alleyway below.

"Well then I guess it's back to the art walk."

As Liz spoke she stood a little too close to the edge then fell off backwards towards the ground below in free fall.
