Stupid criminals, they don't have a chance. (Ix)

Moon was doing a daily check up on her new town, Jump City. It was dar, the air was crisp, but Moon was still wearing a cropped off top, long pants, a cape/hood, converse, and her precious necklace.

She saw a group of people running into an alley with rather large bags. A few of them laughing here and there, no good worthless criminals. Moon walked casually into the alley and stopped infront of them. She watched them turn around with a gun at the sight of her. She smirked holding out her hand. " You wouldn't want to do that." Moon warned.

The man then shot at her. The bullet stopped in thin air like strings were attached to it. Moon smiled then threw it to the side. Suddenly all the bags of money started to float and quicky was laid behind moon. " Great, a challenge, just what I needed to warm up." Moon mocked.

The men started to freak out at the sight of the floating objects. "META" they kept on yelling. Some shot at her but she took care of that quickly by throwing there guns on the roofs . By knocking out a few leaving two left she got physical by jumping at one with hands out. Before she could get to the other one she took a punch to the cheek that made her dizzy. It took her a momment to relize that one of them ran off but she had no time to run after them.

She finished the man off with a few more punches and smiled. " All in a days work." She praised herself. She didn't know that soon she would be shot by the quiet man standing behind her with a pistol pointed towards her. This might be her last good deed.

A beam of black energy ripped through the night barely missing her. Tim had just been walking by when he'd seen the man with a gun, he got her out of the line of fire and blew a hole through his head. Tim sighed and walked into the alley, his two handed sword on his back and black and red armor on. He whistled teasingly at the sight of her and asked. "Have a bit of trouble with just some thugs?"
Tim leaned against the wall oozing confidence in his abilities but looking as though he cared for nothing in the world. He glanced up at the sky and waited for her response not sure what to expect but fully ready to take this to combat if she were one of the special heros. The man with the hole in his head sank to his knees and then slumped over gun still in hand.

Moon jumped at the light of what might be gun fire then the sound of oozing. She hated it when she had to kill someone, but she didn't do that, did she? She turned around and saw a shadow followed by a voice.

She looked at the dead man holding a gun. " Thank you." Moon said with great apreciation. She thought about the rituals on her home planet but instead she would just try to be like a human. She threw off her hood revealing her beauty and of course her silver hair. She smiled trying to show that she was very friendly, as she was.

Tim nodded and looked over at her asking seriously. "So you do this often? I mean fighting criminals not getting saved." he got off the wall and started walking toward her saying with the same confidence that didn't go to his features. "I am Tim, warlock and member of Symbiote." He bowed slightly offering his hand palm up as though she should put her hand in it. (he learned a lot from ancient knights.)

The smile on her face was still there, holding her friendly look. " Well yes, It's a duty of mine." Moon said smiling, she liked that he took interest in her good deeds. All though she was a Nighthawk and saved lots of lives but she didn't really get appreactiated.

" I'm Moon," She introduce her self shaking his hand. She smiled then had a certain look on her face of almost shock and happiness. " Symboite? I'm a Nighthawk, we have an alliance with the Symbote. I'm suprised I haven't met any of the members except the leader." Moon continued with interest.

Tim stood and said. "I'm glad to hear that." He listened intently to everything she said without a shred of emotion and looked down the alley at the bodies and said seriously. "Lets get out of here they'll draw in the stray dogs soon."
Tib started walking out of the alley and turned down the street. He touched a guy they walked past and his appearance melted into the man he touched.

Moon nodded an followed Tim out and about.Her eyes widened when he preformed a "trick" " Whoa! How'd you do that?" She asked in amazment. She had her own abilites and shocked other people too. But these weren't her powers so of course she would be shocked.

Moon stared up at him and smiled. " So where are we going?" Moon asked keeping up with Tim's pace observing the area.

Tim looked over and said. "It's just a mask. I can do it to anyone, would you like proof?" He offered her his hand again as though he was saying to touch it. He registered the second question and said. "No where in particular, I was just out for a walk to clear my head earlier."

Tim thought a moment and asked. "Are you hungry, Moon?"

Moon reached out her small hand. " Proof? I don't need proof after that. I trust that you a Meta." Moon agreed taking his hand sort of awkwardly. He must have some sort of ritual like from Moon's old planet, it was just awkward because she was on earth.

She looked up at Tim and smiled. " Just a little, We could stop by the Nest so I can grab my wallet." Moon said smiling.

Tim changed his appearance so that he was a mirror of her and took his hand away asking. "You ever wanted a twin?" He laughed a little as he walked with her and said. "Hey no problem, I was going to pick up the tab but sure you can."

Tim put his hands in the pockets and asked. "So where is the nest, I never bothered figuring out where, since I didn't have to kill anyone there."

Moon jumped back a little when she saw herself without a mirror. " Wow!" Moon exclaimed happily. She nodded, still happy, about his offer. This was one of the only Meta's in Jump City that actually had this much manners. Besides Mr. Pacific, but he's gone now.

Wait! You kill people? Like an assasian! I thought you we're good!" Moon said over reacting a little bit backing away from him. She couldn't just show an Assasian where the Nest was!

Tim said seriously. "Hey I'm no killer, I only dispose of the human waste that fills the jails otherwise. I call myself an arbiter not an assassin." Tim put his head in his hands and his body changed in front of her going back to himself. He looked up at her and said. "I only kill those who I see committing a crime or in the process, like the guy who was about to shoot you." he waited patiently expecting her to understand the difference.

Moon understood everything. They did the same thing on her planet. If you commited a crime you were killed, if you stole your hands were chopped off. Everything you couldn't want to happen would happen if you didn't obey the law and Tim sort of reminded her of her old planet.

" You remind me a lot of my home Planet." Moon said with a gentle smile. She then started to walk towards an empty alley that lead to more and more alleys like a giant maze. After about a 10 minute walk they arrived at what looked like a run down crappy hotel.

" Welcome to the Nest. I'll be right back." Moon said taking off in flight to one of the higher windows and entering in. She flew back down with her wallet and smiled. " Thanks for taking the time to actually come." Moon laughed happily.

Tim followed her silently recording the path for future reference. He smiled when she told him about her home planet and asked. "What did you mean by home planet. Your not from earth? We have a guy like that in Symbiote. Well at least I think just one, but he's a rather big insect."

When Moon got back and asked her about her home planet her smiled drifted away softly. She missed it very much and bringing it up in conversation didn't help. Moon put on a fake smile and started to walk. " Well i'm not from earth. I came here when I was 12 and grew up by myself un till a few months ago when Mr. Pacific took me in." Moon said almost spilling her guts on his lap and getting sort of sad when she talked about Mr. Pacififc.
