In the Gorge.

Desire looked at the canyon, her pink eyes glittering in the sun. She pressed her fingers to her flawless skin and smirked.
"They are coming soon." she whispered to the man standing next to her. Slade nodded and knelt to Desire, bowing his head.
"I will get you their powers, my lady." he said, sternly.
Desire laughed brightly and she touched Slade's mask fondly. "The things you will do for eternal life, Slade." she said happily. She waved him away and laid back in the sun. "Here come the runners."

Xzuk stopped short as he arrived in the Gorge.

"Where are you!?"

People turned and looked at him like he wasn't wearing pants...

"Alyss!?"

The swelling hadn't gotten any better... but mobility had... Thank God... HE pulled in all the sounds trying to find any trace of Alyss... Nothing... though he did locate Kira...

Desire looked at the two Titans and smiled warmly.
"Hello. Who was it you said you were looking for?" she asked, her voice high and floaty. Her eyes glew pink for a fraction of a second, but she blinked and stopped it. She cocked her head and circled the two Titans.

Xzuk had never seen this girl before... who was she?

There was a slight flare in her eyes... What the hell was it? Sumi's eyes used to do the same thing...

"Kasumi?"

He stared her down in disbelief... it couldn't be her...

Desire looked into his mind and saw the image of Kasumi.
"No, but I could be the thing you most desire, if you so wish it," she said, smiling at him. She ran her fingers through her long blonde hair and turned away from him. She clicked her fingers and turned to him again. "Who is Alyss?" she asked.

His heart sank as he heard her response...

Time to be serious again...

"Alyss is my friend. I'm searching for her."

Desire smiled again and she raised her eyebrows. "Well, don't expect to find her soon." She saw the image of Alyss in his head. "She's one of Slades little playthings. Don't expect her back soon."
She walked forwards and her eyes began to glow. "Well, if that's everything." She waved her hand and a pink wave came from her hand, knocking Xzuk backwards into the spiky walls of the Gorge. She giggled and moved forwards, twisting a piece of hair in her fingers.

Xzuk pulled himself off the wall and began to glow again.

"I'll go through you and Slade if I have to!"

He ripped a wave of sound towards the girl and awaited a return fire.

Desire flicked her fingers and protected herself from the sound, absorbing the wave in a pink cloud. She twisted her wrist and she glided forwards. She sent another pink flash towards him and slashed open the skin on his chest. She smiled at his pain.
"This is such fun!" she moved very close to him, staring eye to eye. "A sound power? I've not yet tasted you."
Her eyes flashed pink and she clamped her hand down on Xzuk's wrist and began draining him of energy. She smiled and reveled in her passion.
Her eyes flashed brighter and her hair grew shinier. "Am i beautiful?" she asked, in her thick Russian accent. She giggled, already knowing the answer.

Look away... look away.... she's nothing special...

In his mind Xzuk was throwing punches, but his body wasn't responding... this was bad...

... Control is an illusion... She'll lose focus eventually... and when she does... She's losing some teeth...

Desire smiled at his thoughts. "Oh darling, my focus right now is you, Oh! My! Your powers do get stronger as you feast more. You are quite....delectable." She drained more and more energy from Xzuk, and her veins began to glow pink. "Oh, special power, I like it!"

She stepped backwards and watched him collaspe, exhausted and almost fully drained. "Well, it wouldn't be fair if I didn't give you a chance to fight back. Come on Titan....amuse me." she said, smiling.

Well... this will be interesting...

Xzuk had an advantage... only because he knew how to use his powers... but he knew this was a fight he wouldn't win...

One punch, one hit... and them I'm gone...

He packs his fists with a sonic charge. If he hit, she'd be lucky to ever have a smile again. He liked that thought...

He took off and fired punches at the woman.

Desire smiled at him and flicked her fingers, off par. She blocked him entirely and surrounded him in a cloud of pink.
"Now, I'm debating whether or not I should make you love me, or if I should just take your energy and leave you here. Titans of your standard usually survive and live another day, I say usually." She pondered the thought for a moment.

I made a promise... so... I think I'll just die trying...

His veins all ran black as he let his anger grow and the gaping hole in his chest bled black with blue sparks.... it was strange... those must have been the sound atoms...

He used the energy he had left to build up a small field around him. When he was ready, he'd expand it until he passed out.

Desire looked aghast for a moment before she smiled sweetly at him again. She walked up to Xzuk and took his chin gently in her hands, walking straight through the field. "I'll be seeing you soon darling. And the rest of your Titans. You were just enough energy, but I'll need to feast soon." she began to walk away. "As for your Alyss, she's in the Star Hotel. Just follow the screams." she said. She walked away, her hips swaying, shaking out her hair and laughing brightly. She disappeared in a puff of pink smoke.
