| It was nighttime in Jump, but it wasn't very late in the night. It had only recently become dark, which was what Galatea had been waiting for. Carrying the escape pod she had landed on earth in, she flew towards an area she had seen earlier. The Junkyard. She couldn't have left the pod on the beach where anyone could see it or get to it. This dump of metal and rust would serve as a fine hiding spot.
The Space Pirate was a bit annoyed that she couldn't fly to the junkyard as fast as she pleased, but this thing was damned heavy. At least she was less likely to be spotted under the cover of the night. She didn't particularly feel like explaining what it was she was carrying, where she was taking it, and HOW she was carrying it. And flying.
Galatea eventually reached the junkyard, and spent a few minutes looking for a place to hide the pod. Eventually, she settled on a spot near a broken down van towards the middle of the junkyard. She descended slowly, setting the pod down behind the rusting vehicle. She pressed a button on the front of the pod door, and there was a 'click' as the door locked. She sat on the ground, trying to catch her breath.
"That takes care of that," Galatea thought, turning from the pod and looking around. "Hopefully, no one saw me..."
Just in case, she turned the safety on her blaster off...

| Pitch black, the soft dim orange glow of his cigarette providing the only illumination for a few inches in front of him. Ethan was less than happy about this, especially with him being in a junkyard of all things, why was he even in a junkyard to begin with, it's not like this place had any use to him. But still, he could at least try to take a nap in a remote section of the yard, get a little rest before the sun came up and try to find a smoke shop so he could purchase another pack of cigarettes; he was on his last three and he needed the. Badly.
The sound of creaking, rusty metal didn't bother Ethan in the slightest, in fact it probably kept the rest of the trouble makers away, which, in his mind, was a good thing. However, something did catch his eye after a few more minutes of walking, as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Something had settled down nearby and with a hint of curiosity, he moved off to check it out, taking one last big puff of his cigarette before tossing it in front of him, his foot swiftly crushing the smoldering material underfoot.
Rounding the next bend, he came to what looked like a women with a pistol, and some kind of pod like thing. Ethan, unsure as to what this was, stayed silent for awhile as he occasionally peeked around the corner, just to keep tabs on the women. Oh great, more trouble? The last thing Ethan needed at this moment was trouble, it had followed him around enough as it was and now, he had somehow voluntarily walked into it on his own free will? He had almost wanted to facepalm himself, but held back as he watched and listened to her.
If that's a gun, I might have to disarm it if she tries to use it on me. Gonna have tohit it with a magnetic blast.

| Xeno's favorite time was night, it made him feel comfortable, unseen and most of all his sense allowed him to see better than most others. So in this relaxed, and rather bored, state. When he saw something fly by he had to investigate it. He chased down the flying thing, not having to try to hard to keep up with it.
He slowed down when reaching the junkyard. It allowed for much better sight using echolocation, it was more defined if he stayed still. Though it caused some blurring when he moved. The metal resonated long after he had made any noise, mainly hissing or clicks that were extremely high pitched. His claws clicked on the roofs of old cars as be made his way closer to where she landed
He had also noticed Ethan, sensing the massive amount of electricity for any live being. But it wasn't enough to distract him from the girl and her ship, she had sat on the ground. He leaped over the area she was in, landing on her craft. It didn't make much sound but just enough to to hear. Though seeing him would prove more difficult, him being pitch black. He hissed and leaned over the edge of her ship, attempting a closer look.

| Galatea sat there for a few minutes, relaxing and catching her breath. The sun was down now, so if she wore out her energy, she'd be screwed over until the sun rose again next morning. So she had to make sure she didn't waste any of it...
She sniffed the air for a moment, thinking she smelled something amongst the smell of rust and metal. Smoke? Before she could investigate the smell of smoke further, she heard something clicking against metal. She reached for her holster, pulling her blaster pistol off her belt. The paranoid Tamaranian stood up, looking around her surroundings....and then heard a hissing noise coming very close to her.
Quickly, she turned to find the source of it, and fired two shots from her blaster near her escape pod. One missed the pod entirely, hitting the pile of junk a few yards behind it. The other grazed the pod, charing the area it hit black.
"Okay, who's there?! Come out now and I'll consider not blasting a hole in your head!"

| The sound of scraping metal had gotten his undivided attention and from where he stood, could easily see the black shape perched on the metallic pod. Now Ethan wasn't going to move from his spot behind the cars, safe and sound but then that crazy chick had to start shooting off her....blaster pistol? The hell was this, star-wars or star-trek or something, that more or less had gotten Ethan's undivided attention as he walked out from behind the piled up cars. His powers weren't in use and he merely looked at them both with a sigh. God, this was going to be more trouble than it was worth and Ethan knew that. What Ethan didn't know however was that if life always gave you lemons, start making a fortune in lemonade. How that might work out for him right now, he'd have to think about it, that is, if he had a chance to think about it.
All at once, Ethan had leveled a finger at the pod, simply pointing at it for now but slowly, steadily, electricity was building up in his finger and while it wasn't exactly visible, at least not yet, the critter should have no problem, seeing the Christmas tree warning his finger was presenting it. Let's hope their nice aliens, actually, the one I can barely make out on the ship looks a mite angry, Ethan's initial thought was a bit disconcerting but right now, he was holding another gun and it was a nasty doozy of a hand-cannon that would make even dirty harry brown his shorts.
"So, what's up?" Ethan piped in finally with a nonchalant and casual voice, as he looked the area over. Nothing but metal cars, it'd be like a pinball game of death if he decided to start flinging magnetic shockwaves around like it was going out of style. "It's not polite, nor is it intelligent to simply start blasting like a lackwit you know. But I guess they didn't teach that at storm trooper school," now came the sarcastic remarks as Ethan moved closer, he involuntarily reached for a cigarette in his coat pocket but decided against it entirely. Instead he sighed, stopping maybe six feet away from the friendly neighborhood gun nut, a look of listlessness stamped clearly on his face.
Who was this chick, who was that alien, a couple of the questions that were floating around in his head wanted to be asked but he held his tongue, waiting and watching in a manner that spoke more of his patience, than his good manners and attitude. But yeah, he was really trying to get closer in case he had to disarm the crazy chick. His finger was still charged, still ready to dispense with body numbing pain at a moments notice. Ethan hoped he'd not need it, all he needed at that point would be more trouble and that's what a good jolt of electricity can cause for someone like himself; trouble. With a capital T.

| She had definitely heard the hissing and reacted. Pulling some sort of weapon out, he recognized it was the general shape of what the police used. Weak guns, only able to hurt him at point blank. He even stepped forward, not fearing the blaster, until she fired of course. He had thought it was a mere pistol but quickly realized otherwise.
He hissed loudly as he felt the heat of the blaster and backed away slightly. Then came Ethan. His words were a bit beyond Xeno's vocabulary at this point not to mention he had no idea what a storm trooper was. But he now knew that the girl was not holding a mere pistol but a blasted, which he had seen plenty of when escaping captivity.
He recognized Ethan as the electrical hotspot he sensed earlier but didn't think much of it, as he was busy thinking. He decided to use this distraction to make his way down, leaping to the ground after figuring out the girls threat. He was no in plain view though still a bit hard to make out, though because of his tail he certainly wasn't human. Not to mention he was on all fours. He hissed again, gaining another perspective of the two. Other than the blaster henslend see any threat in the girl. But xeno became increasingly aware of the large electrical charge in the mans finger.

| Galatea was a bit tense right now, her hands clutching her blaster pistol. She could almost feel the hair on the back of her neck lifting up....wait. It was lifting up. Not from tension, but from static electricity. It was at that point Galatea noticed Ethan.
She turned to look at the man as he talked, quickly turning back to where the other creature had been, as soon as she realized it had moved. She pointed her gun back at it, before sighing and taking a deep breath.
"Okay, it's clear that none of us really want a fight to ensue here. Maybe I ought to explain my self. I just came here to hide my pod. I couldn't just leave it on the beach where every Earthling and their ancestors could see it, now could I?! So I came to leave it here. Obviously, this isn't the best place to hide it, but it'll do."
Galatea seemed more relaxed now, her grip on her gun easing up.
"So, how about we all agree to not try and turn this trash pile into a grave site and relax a little, okay? "

| "Sure, if that thing agrees. Otherwise, this is going to be trouble and I don't like trouble," Ethan grunted out his rather obvious warning as he looked around. He had never once, taken his eyes off the obscure black shape that was the xeno, a look of irritation plastered on his otherwise contemptuous face. He wasn't happy with this thing, nor was he happy with the alien chick, carrying around a weapon that had to have been ripping off George Lucas in every single possible way. He had let go of the electricity, the build up harmlessly arcing back up his arm and dispersing in a visible spectrum of bluish white that could only be described as man made lightning.
So she was a sensible sort, that was good. Ethan was already starting to like her and her sensibilities, when it came to the potential for trouble especially trouble that didn't favor her in the slightest. Ethan wasn't one for starting trouble, far from it. But he was however, fond of ending it, just so he could get uninvolved as soon as possible. "Since you can speak English, that just leaves the bug face over there. Hey, ugly, nod your head if you understand me," he stated, his eyes transfixed with that black mass of ugly as sin crouched over there. Ethan's eyes were adjusting to the low light conditions and more of the things shape was becoming pronounced and apparent to him. Yeah, he was right. That thing was ugly, with an upper case ugly.
"I'm not the one panic shooting a ray gun, orange peel. So far, it seems like you're the only one who isn't....calm," he stated before spitting onto the ground, and took a deep breath. "As for you bug head, if you even think about trying to attack me, don't. Half a million volts of electricity, tends to make a great deterrent," Shooting one final look at the only thing remotely human in this junkyard, Ethan let out one more, annoyed sigh. "Now what tangerine tush? we gonna sit here all night or what?"

| ((never thought I could like a character so much just because they said tangerine tush))
Ethans words didn't fall upon deaf ears, Xeno recognized most of his words especially ugly. He had been hearing that one alot. Almost all the time actually, whenever someone else was around...except the cold girl he met, she hadn't said that. She was nice...unlike the man inform of him. Xeno got the feeling that he was going to be very....not nice. Maybe even mean.
He nodded slowly, growling slightly to make it clearthat he wasn't happy. He stood up on his hack legs and walked up to Ethan, towering over him, and then prodded him ever so slightly on the forehead with a knuckle and then gave Ethan a message "[Name is Xeno]"
He looked at...well she was orange, an odd color for any humans, which he has found out was what the native species called themselves, to be. Though had seen a few who were approaching that tone, though they always smelled of chemicals. She was a bit different. She smelled not of chemicals but also didn't smell...well human. Though she looked the part very well. He walked up to her, back on all fours. He wondered if this was what the large man named Mr. Slaughter meant by "a brother from the stars"

| The smoking human seemed to be all for the non-violent approach, even if he was a bit gruff in his words and actions. All that remained was to see the reaction of the decidedly not human form that had caused her to fire off a shot earlier.
In response to the earthling's question, the creature nodded, which meant ...he? She? It? It understood the man, and perhaps even agreed with him. Galatea gave a relieved sigh and put her blaster back on the holster underneath her coat.
"Well, hey, I was trying to hide something,so I was naturally being paranoid. And I have a gun, so do the math. No, I was NOT calm."
Galatea looked down at the creature, who was now approaching her. She didn't know the reason, so she was naturally a bit worried.
"Uh....hello?"

| Ethan didn't like that thing, not only did it invade his personal physical space, it damn well managed to invade his personal mental space as well. Watching it walk away and back towards the orange skinned tangerine girl, he felt himself calm down slightly, glad to have the pest move away from him and back towards her. The thing was trouble, Ethan without a shadow of a doubt, hated anything synonymous with trouble and would be glad to be away from that thing sooner, rather than later.
"Well xeno, next time you want to get in my personal space, don't. I hate it when people get in my personal space, it's agitating," he spoke loud and clear for it too hear, loud enough for both of them to hear, so really it was more or less a heads up to the both of them to just stay out of his personal space bubble. "And don't ever invade my personal mental space either. It's one thing with personal space, but mental space? You best piss off on that one." He spoke with a slight growl, his eyes narrowing with growing contempt for the creature.
Someone had to teach that thing manners and what personal space meant, also it as damned ugly and not exactly kid friendly by the looks of things. "Also most people are sort of scared by the whole sharp teeth, spear tail motif. Heroes don't like it either, not that I care. I hate heroes and the villains and I'd rather be left out of this crap."
Turning his attention towards the girl he sighed. She was gorgeous but paranoid and orange, not exactly....Ethan's first choice in women, not as long as she looked like she was a trigger happy extra for a pirate film. Besides, Jinx was a good enough friend for him anyways, speaking of which, he should really go look or her sooner or later, see if she got her pink haired ass in trouble and needed help getting out. "As for you tinfoil top, I suggest you not carry something as conspicuous as a sword and a gun."

| He continued to take his time examining the girl. She was different but he still couldn't figure it out. But she was different, from somewhere else he could easily smell it. It wasn't the same as everyone else he had met on this planet. It was....stronger. Made itself known more compared to others smell. Like the smoky man.
Xeno finnally wrapped his tail around her waist he lifted her up, standing at the same time testing her weight and such, wondering if she'd struggle. It was just something he did. But he quickly dropped her as he heard Ethan talking, he understood it completely and, knowing completely well that Ethan had pretty much told him not to, replied "[okay...]" Xeno also understood the hostile tone and didn't like it one bit. So Ethan got to be his first try at humor.
He didn't think much of Ethan and barely understanding his statement about heroes and villains. He didn't even know the difference, morals were still a foreign concept to him. He had tried to, not to long ago, eat a couple of animal security workers sent after him. Ready to kill them until...unexpected visitors. He looked inbetween the two, so far preferring the girl as someone to know, though she hadn't done much yet. "[names?]" he asked.

| Galatea gave a laugh at Ethan, both at his reaction to Xeno, and his recommendation to her. Her field of work pretty much made the gun and the sword required materials, like the suit and briefcase to the businessman. She had barely noticed Xeno trying to lift her...or, at least, she ignored him, not wanting to start a fight (for once).
"Well, look who I ran into after trying to avoid people: you two. Good think you two are civil and sociable. Otherwise, I would've cooked them with my gun. That's the way it usually is for me, anyways. Which isn't fun, I like meeting new people. Speaking of which, the name's Galatea. So now you can cut it with the nicknames."
She pointed at Ethan to emphasize her point. She clearly wasn't being very serious about it, though.
