Smallville

Characters Appearing: Superboy, Superboy Again, JaK Sage & Nazar
Summary: JaK has traveled all the way to Smallvile in search of one of Jump City's most powerful villains. Nazar "The Prince Of Time" has fled the city and gone to Smallvile in search of a gem that will give him the abiliy to literally send something through open wormholes to different time streams. Joining JaK in the search an old friend that he met in the tournament of heroes and local resident apparently of Smallvile, Superboy, has decided to aid him. They tracked Nazar to a bank where the the gem is kept tucked away due to it belonging to a rich family who's had it as an heirloom for centuries now. However, upon arrival the two were barely able stop Nazar before he could ge this hands on the artifact. A fierce battle raging on between the three of them in the vault of the bank while all other pedestrians and security fled the building.

"ARRROUUGHHH!!"

We come into the scene to see a bank vault armor covered JaK Sage being thrown across the vicinity of the bank and slams into the side of a wall where he crashes and burns, afterwards dropping to the ground. The force driving him being a magical scythe made from the Sands Of Time itself. The upper back end of the double bladed weapon vibrating due to the force he hit the boy with. Meanwhile, Superboy would come in with a flurry of lightning fast jabs, too bad they're opponent was able to slow down time and made each one his punches come at a normal pace. The blows themselves being blocked by Nazar's weapon.

"I tire of this game JaK Sage. You're as pathetic as the company you keep. I have seen many of your kind over the millennia who thought they could trifle with a god and found themselves to be exactly what they are...A low life mortal. Just like this one, who thinks because he has gifted powers bestowed upon him that he can challenge me. Spec! You like him are NOTHING to me, a fleating dustmite in the voyage of time."

After finishing his statement Nazar whould spin his staff after ducking a punch and stabbed Superboy in the back, draining the life from him as his Kryptonian body aged in that spot and then like JaK hit him with the back part of his scythe causing the alien to go sailing up into the roof of the building where he would hit it's surface and then the floor below leaving a small crater under his nearly impenetrable body. Meanwhile, JaK Sage would start to rise again while Nazar re-appraoched the safety deposit box that held the gem. Sage wouldn't give up, no matter how hopeless it seemed. The scythe he carried was Nazar's main weapon and without it he was just like a regular human who could slightly alter how fast things moved towards him. Proven by how his scythe had aged JaK's brick armor to dust earlier and blocked Superboy's heat vision.

"Urgh, sorry, but I never much was one for respecting my elders. Even the really, really, really old, grumpy, cantercerouss ones like you; AND I'M NOT GOIGN TO START NOW!!"

As JaK spoke he would will himself up to his feet and did a back flip onto the side of the wall of the building before using it as a base to leap/launch across the room at Nazar with an echoing battle cry. Sadly, Nazar had seen JaK rising up even before he said a single word thanks to his third eye, whcih literally made it so he had eyes in the back of his head and gave him a 360' view of all that was around him. While the boy flew towards the now demi-god Nazar would suddenly turn around dug the scythe deep into JaK's abdomen with an upper thrusting motion, the metal around it instantly rusting as Sage's face contorted to the less than pleasurable feeling and then with a simple twist of his weapon slammed the Titan onto the ground, cracking the tile flooring, and leaving him to lay there grasping his gut in pain.

"You know mortal, you've been a pain in my side loong enough and I think the first thing I'm going to send into another realm, is you. Hmm, maybe the Jurassic period, so you can have your brutish battles with something around your IQ level orrr maybe back during the Dark Ages so you can live the rest of your miserable exsitence farming while remembering your life before then. Yes, that seems like a rather worthy punishment seeing as I've been stuck on this little filthy mudball and am banished from MY home."

While speaking Nazar walked over to the safe and aged it's lock instantly to the point that it evaporated into dust. Reaching inside he would pull out a very large ruby like gem and showed it too Sage before reciting a short incantation and making it resonate with power. Immediately after he would point it at the teen with a sick sadistic smile on his face, ecstatic over the prospect of getting rid of one of his more pesky nemesis once and for all! Any moment now a worm hole would be generated and open up in front of JaK transporting him to anyone of the sick realities of time Nazar had in his head at the moment....

JaK was just as surprised as Nazar to see Superboy back and he looked better than before?! Feeling the side of his face JaK noticed that he had liver spots on one cheek and a few of his teeth were about to fall out, plus his skin was saggy, and his eye lid was heavy. If he had to guess the side of his face had aged nearly 50 plus years from that one stroke. Geez, that gem was making Nazar stronger. Dropping down to the floor Sage would seem defeated, but really he was just taking a breather, now that Superboy was back he could take a quick rest. After all he was only human.

"What's this!? I Just sent you to the furthest alternate reality I could think of, but, but you're still here??"

As Nazar stood there in shock JaK would conceal himself covering his arm in concrete while laying on his stomach. A moment later the boy smashed both hands into the floor and lifted it up using all the strength he had and then slammed it down like he was shaking a rug to knock Nazar off balance with the seismic wave that followed and sent the now dropped gem spiraling across the floor...

"NOO!"

Trying to retrieve the precious stone Nazar would go running after it only to be cut off by Superboy who wasn't dumb enough to let this guy get his hand on that thing if the other kid had just went through all that rouble to get it away from him. Nazar then arrogantly raised his scythe to Superboy slowing down time again so that any fast punch he threw would be slowed.

"*Sigh* Weve been through this already mortal. Now unless you want another beating I suggest you step aside and accept that which is your fate. If you do maybe I'll only send you to the Ice Age rather than the end of the world. At least there you can make friends with even more primative humans, in fact you should feel right at home."

Unlike Nazar, JaK could see by the look on this Superboy's face that he was confused by the situation and that either he wasn't the same Superboy or something had happened to him. Either way Nazar needed to be warned just in case this Superboy suddenly blew up or something.

"Erm, uhh Nazar...I don't think you're dealing witht he same Superboy from before."

As JaK spoke one part of his voice was the same, but the other was aged in his vocal chords making him sound raspy.

"I think I like this Superboy Nazar, he's more my style and he just took away the only thing keeping me from knocking your teeth in."

As Nazar stumbled back, from over Superboy JaK would come leapfrogging over him to try and land a flying ghetto stomp on the Time God. Too bad Nazar's slow motion field slowed down JaK's descent and gave him enough time to roll out of the way.

"Do not think just because I have lost my tools for destruction that I cannot take care of a whelp like you Sage."

After missing his attack Nazar would kip back up to his feet showing some skill and hit the slow moving JaK Sage woth a combination to his ribs and face, which were unarmored at the time and thus knocked him over. Afterwards he realized that trying to get his staff back from Superboy was pointless. Still grabbing his now bruised and maybe dislocated jaw he decided to make a run at the jewel again instead.

As the wormhole opened and started sucking other things from the vault inside of it such as jewles, bags of money, and even gold! JaK dug his hands into the ground and hung on for dear life! Meanwhile, Nazar attempted doing the same by digging his scythe into the ground, but slowly it started to erode the surface of the floor making him inch bit by bit closer to the all powerful vortex. JaK at this point was barely able to hang on as one hands flew from the floor and he used all his determination to grip onto the tiling with his now concrete absorbed fingers. All the while Nazar was not so lucky he was eventually sucked in a long with his scythe and thrown into the time stream of all things.

"No,No,No,NOOOOoOO!! Curse you both mortals, I will have my vengenc---!!!"

After consuming him the vortex in itself closed like it was never there and left JaK Sage and this new or altered Superboy with virtually nothing. Not even the gem fragments that had generated the wormhole.

As Superboy picked up JaK Sage by his Batman logo'd shirt the teen gripped his wrist, but didn't pull away knowing it'd be pointless and he kind of liked this T-shirt so there was no point in letting him rip it.

"That's funny, I was about to ask you the same thing bub'. But the last part was gonna be where are you from. As for where you are now, you're on Earth and either you're mind got wiped or something after being sucked into the black hole thingy or you just replaced my world's Superboy."

JaK would speak as his voice slowly became less raspy and his stomach went from being flabby and old back to it's normally chizzled self. He was turning back to normal, Nazar's affects already seeming to have worn off because the blows from his scythe were so few and fleeting.

After dropping JaK back down the boy dusted off his shirt and then the rest of his outfit while Superboy walked around angrily and confused. Later asking Sage if there was a way back to his own timeline/dimension.

"Sorry, but you just destroyed the only known tool and person I've ever seen used to get people back and forward from different universes. I mean Ben was looking for a way back home, you don't know him, for a while from what I hear and couldn't find it."

JaK would then check his face and other bodily parts feeling grateful that they were back to normal.

"Look, my name is JaK Sage. I guess you could say ex-leader of the Teen Titans. East division. I don't know if you had a team like that back where you were from or were a part of one, but basically were a group of heroes our age who operate without the aid of our mentors or anyone else. Come with me back to Jump City and well try and get this figured out. Maybe one of my teammates (talking about Will or Dan depending on when we get back to Jump) will have a way to get you back. If not them I'm sure I can always contact my ol' Wizard buddy. I guess what I'm saying is, you helped me beat Nazar...So I'm going to do my best to help get you home."

In all honesty JaK realy wanted his friend, the other SUperboy, back. They had history together and had also been through a lot. They have fought against eachtoher and side by side. Given to stand up to him Sage needed magical armor at the time...

As they exited the bank and JaK cracked most of what he thought were sprained or dislocated ligaments in his body back into place. He pressed a button on his communicator to bring his Speedbike around. In the few seconds they spent waiting for it JaK addressed Superboy about what kind of faction he was in if any?

"No Teen Titans where you come from, eh? Does that mean Robin never split up from tall, dark, and dresses like a bat and just decided to stay his little sidekick?"

"Huh, sooo your Robin is the same age as you...While our first Robin is already a grown man. That's pretty cool I guess, that alternate dimension thing is true, about the different Earths where different choices were made and stuff at least. Anyway that sucks dude, if we were a Justice League Junior. I think I would demand more stuff like one of these things if I were you."

JaK Sage guessing that Superboy didn't get many gadgets from Batman or others of the JLA based on his reaction to JaK's hoverbike. Sage decided to explain to him what it was, especially since Superboy was going to riding on it for the next few hours back to Jump City with him.

"It's like a motorcycle, but with hovering and gliding capabilites. In fact it's capable of hitting speeds of nearly 500 miles per hour and loaded with multiple offensive and defensive weaponry. Plus navigation, dashboard holographic media access, and is linked to our home base."
