Just Visiting (open to all after Kristoff)

"No, you're not." she said watching him get fainter. "What can I do?" she asked thinking that this would be the only time she would ever say those words. Putting her hand on the table as a support to get up just as a spark of her energy was released from her hand. Not noticing she looked questioningly at him.

I automatically absorbed the energy, "Do that again, but bigger."

Looking down at her hand she noticed that not only had she let off steam but he had absorbed it. Trying to think of something exciting she generated another burst. It was bigger than the last one and it shot out of her palm towards the table. Hoping that he would catch in time she watched the bright light ball up between the table and her hand.

I absorbed it and was back to normal, "Thank you."

Sitting back down Rei looked at the two,"Okay now we both have some explaining to do. I'll start with my name and my 'ability' and then you tell me yours, got it?" she said,"My name is Jessica and I can harness my own energy or rather project, but only if I have enough adrenaline."

"The name's Kristoff and this bundle of sunshine is Akki, I can, or rather HAVE to, absorb energy, she can Teleport," I look at Jessica, "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Interesting... I don't talk to people much in Steel, or anywhere really. I kinda came from the streets like the two of you." Rei said. She had decided to give away her original name so that even if they talked about this meeting the name meant nothing outside of the town she was born in.

"Well whenever you're in town, find us, I'd be happy to exploit your power for my own personal gain," I chuckled, she seemed okay, she wasn't a goody-two-shoes and she was basically a power generator.

"I'll keep that in mind. Just one thing is that I can run out of power too. Like when you run a marathon you can't go forever. Only longer." she clarified on her powers. Her eyes flashed a bright light for a moment before returning to their normal state. Her arm felt a little drain from the energy release already. Taking a sip from the Coke she felt her body had let off enough steam for the night and instead was running on base supplies.

I breathed deeply and sipped on my Coke, I felt a tinge of electricity go through my body, "So do you go by any code names?"

(Bleh. Sorry for the afkness) Akki had been watching this exchange awkwardly, and despite herself began to feel amused at Kritoff's discomfort. Maybe this girl wasn't so bad.

Surprised by the question Rei almost spat out her drink. Giving a small cough she said,"Somethings are kept secret for a reason. My codename ... I think it would be best if I didn't tell you." Placing the container back on the table she felt the need to keep part of her life secret from Kristoff. If "they" ever found out that she had connections to people things would change rapidly for her.

"I understand completely," I fix my fedora so I could see better.

Rei was gla he didn't press for more details. Funny to think that when it came to history he was all no and she was ok with sharing it. Smiling a little she said,"Thanks for understanding. If people found out about my full identity things would change for me and not in the good way."

I smiled lightly, that electric feeling increasing, what was it? I've never felt this way before. I shrugged it off and kept eating, "I can relate to that."
